Episode 516: Dr. Eggman's Revenge
In Celadon City, the citizens were going about their daily routine, without any worries coming their way. Their relaxation was cut very short when Dr. Eggman's Chariblast robot attacked. Flames spewed from its mouth as the people and Pokémon began to run for their lives.
"Oh-ho-ho-ho! If only I tried this in the first place! I could have gotten rid of that little runt, and Sonic all at once! But my score with Sonic will have to wait," Dr. Eggman said. "Chariblast, activate your missles!" Chariblast fired its missles and causes several cars to explode on contact. Dr. Eggman laughed with joy of the destruction. "Oh, this is even more fun than setting Station Square on fire!" He laughed some more.
Over to Pallet Town, everyone returned to the mansion after the race between Sonic and Rainbow Dash.
"That was an awesome race, you two!" Silverstream said.
"Yona thought rainbow pony was going to win. Hedgehog cool as rainbow pony!" Yona said.
"Thanks, Yona," Sonic said.
"Now that the race between you and Rainbow Dash is over and done with, what now?" Sora asked.
"Yeah, what's going to be next?" Karen asked.
"What will make it even more thrilling if there was a bad guy to thwart. Like those Team Shadow chumps," Sonic said.
"If only they could make themselves known that easily," Kairi said. Just then, Yuta came up the stairs.
"Everyone! You should see what's on TV!" Yuta said. Everyone got to the TV and saw the news coverage.
"This just in, a robot that bares the resemblance to a Charizard is terrorizing Celadon City," the newsman said.
"A robot?" Sora asked, wondering if it's the Decepticons attacking. The camera switches to the robot Charizard spewing fire.
"Oh, the catastrophe!" The newsman said.
"This can't be good," Fluttershy said. The TV switches to Dr. Eggman on the screen.
"DR. EGGMAN?!" Sora, Kairi, Sonic, and Meowth all exclaimed with shock.
"Pika?!" Pikachu also exclaimed with the same shock.
"Eevee?!" Angel also exclaimed with the same shock.
"That's Dr. Eggman?" Karen asked.
"Greetings and salutations. I'm interrupting this announcement to make an announcement. My name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik, but you can call me Dr. Eggman. The robot that is attacking the city is one of the many products of my genius, so I have decided to conquer the world, and everything in it. It is useless to try and stop me, so I would advise anyone from attempting to stop me, because any form of retaliation can and will result in an imminent annihilation. If you're feeling up for the task, go right ahead and do so, because I could use the target practice. We now return to our regularly scheduled mayhem already in progress," Dr. Eggman said.
"How did that fruitcake egghead get out? We sent him packing with the rest of the Brotherhood of Darkness!" Meowth said.
"It doesn't matter how he got out, what matters is that we stop him," Sora said.
"I have a feeling that you would say that, Sora," Yuta said.
"He doesn't look like an egg like I thought he would," Agumon said.
"We got to head for Celadon City and stop Eggman and put that robot in the scrappile," Kairi said.
"I had a feeling you were going to say that," Yuta said. "Just be careful, all of you."
"Looks like I got my wish after all," Sonic said.
"He might be expecting you to make a move, Sora," Karen said.
"Yeah, and I don't think he knows about Sonic being here yet," Sora said.
"But he might be expecting us, Sora," Kairi said.
"He won't be disappointed," Sora said.
Outside the mansion, Sonic ran ahead of them. Hot Rod and Arcee are outside the mansion. Sora, Kairi, Karen, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, the Mane Six, and the Digimon stepped out.
"Sora, what's going on?" Hot Rod asked.
"An old enemy of ours just shown up," Sora said.
"Old enemy?" Arcee asked.
"Give us a lift, and we'll explain," Kairi said.
Over in Celadon City, Powerglide is flying over the city in his plane mode to see the destruction.
"Those Decepticons don't mess around. They really want to rumble badly," Powerglide said. He makes contact with the Ark. "Powerglide to the Ark. We have a situation here."
"What is this situation, Powerglide?" Optimus asked.
"The city is under attack. I think the Cons are behind this," Powerglide said.
"We shall send reinforcements to your current location," Optimus said.
"You better hurry, because it's getting worse by the minute," Powerglide said. He sees the cause of the destruction. "Scratch that, because I see the attacker." He analyzed the Charizard robot. "There's no Decepticon signal coming from it."
"You're not thinking of taking it on yourself, are you?" Perceptor asked.
"Gotta be a trap," Blaster added.
"I'm seeing no other option," Powerglide said, firing at Chariblast. Eggman notices the plane.
"Well, well, we got ourselves a flying pest. I know how to handle the likes of you," Eggman said. "Chariblast! Concentrate your fire on that aircraft! Knock it out of the sky!" Chariblast fires at the flying Autobot. Powerglide swerves out of the way.
"Okay, wanna play, huh? I can oblige you!" Powerglide said, firing at the robot again.
Over to the Ark, Perceptor opened a Ground Bridge.
"Ground Bridge activated, Optimus," Perceptor said.
"Autobots! Transform and roll out!" Optimus shouted. The Autobots, consisting of Optimus, Jazz, Cliffjumper, Ironhide, Prowl, Wheeljack, Trailbreaker, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Hound, Inferno, Red Alert, and Brawn transformed and entered through the Ground Bridge.
Over to Elita One's ship, an Autobot trooper enters the command chamber.
"Chromia! We have a situation! We think Decepticons are involved!" The trooper said.
"I'll inform Elita One immediately!" Chromia said. She entered her chambers. "Elita! We have a situation, ma'am!"
"Decepticons?" Elita One asked.
"Most definitely," Chromia said.
"This is a matter we cannot ignore. Transform and roll out," Elita One ordered. Elita One, Chromia, Moonracer, Greenlight, Lancer, and Firestar transformed into their vehicle forms and drove out along with the Autobot troopers. They set off for Celadon City. The Ground Bridge opened as Optimus, Jazz, Cliffjumper, Ironhide, Prowl, Wheeljack, Trailbreaker, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Hound, Inferno, Red Alert, and Brawn drove through.
"Are there humans in the area?" Optimus asked.
"Everyone has been evacuated by the local authorities, Optimus!" Perceptor said.
"Transform!" Optimus ordered. The Autobots transformed into their robot forms. Eggman was stunned to see the Autobots.
"I don't remember building those at all," Dr. Eggman said. "No matter. Chariblast, destroy them! All of them!" Chariblast sets its attention on the Autobots. Chariblast spewed its flames at Optimus as Inferno spewed water, blocking the flame.
"Not today!" Inferno said.
Over to Team Shadow HQ, Mateus and the other villains were watching the attack on the screen.
"Did those cars and trucks just turn into robots?" Dr. Cortex asked.
"It would seem they have come after all," Mateus said.
"Mind filling us in?" Dr. Wily asked.
"I have sent my Team Shadow forces to investigate the matter ever since a specimen was brought here. They're just like the ones who attacked my Team Shadow forces, but they're different from what I can imagine," Mateus said.
"There is something about them," Sigma stated. "Something I am not familiar with."
Back to Celadon City, Powerglide transformed to robot mode.
"About time you showed up. I didn't know how long I was going to last," Powerglide said.
"Well, you are definitely not some of my creations," Dr. Eggman said through the microphone. "I would be proud if you were some of mine."
"Who are you?" Optimus asked.
"Where are my matters? My name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik! Everyone just calls me Dr. Eggman. But enough about me, how about you? On second thought, who cares about you?" Dr. Eggman asked, laughing.
"This human is off his rocker," Cliffjumper said.
"What do you want, doctor?" Optimus asked.
"It's quite simple, my big robotic friend. I want to conquer this world, and then the whole universe, make it part of my new Eggman Empire. And before we get to that, I would exact my revenge on the one who had me defeated before. A boy who goes by the name of Sora Ketchum," Dr. Eggman said.
"Sora?" Prowl asked.
"He's only a kid! What did he ever do to you?" Brawn asked.
"Oh, not much. Just me and my cohorts sent into another dimension for a few minutes, but in this universe's timeline, it was a tad longer than that. But, not long enough to destroy Sora and his friends for sending us there in the first place!" Dr. Eggman said.
"He's no Decepticon, but he sure thinks like one," Ironhide said.
"If he thinks we'll let anywhere near him, then he is mistaken," Red Alert said.
"I do not know the history between you and Sora, but we will not allow you to be anywhere near him," Optimus said.
"Are you saying that you are friends with him?" Dr. Eggman asked.
"What if we are?" Hound asked.
"And if we were, that's no business of yours," Prowl said.
"I'll have my creation destroy you all, and then I'll salvage your parts, and do a lot of research on your designs in order to find out what makes you tick! Chariblast! Do your thing!" Dr. Eggman ordered. Chariblast open fire on the Autobots.
"Autobots! Retreat!" Optimus ordered. The Autobots transformed to robot mode and drove to avoid the missles. They explode upon contact.
Aboard the Nemesis, Soundwave stood before Megatron.
"Lord Megatron, Autobot signals detected," Soundwave reported.
"The Autobots surely cannot help themselves to help those in need. We shall strike now," Megatron said. Lugnut approaches the leader of the Decepticons and kneeled before him.
"Oh, great and glorious Megatron. Allow me to have the pleasure of destroying our hated enemies," Lugnut said. "I shall finish off the Prime just as I have finished off Ultra Magnus."
"Very well, Lugnut. Go and have your fun, but do not fail," Megatron said.
"I will savor the fun, master," Lugnut said. Lugnut stepped outside and transformed into a large plane as his flight mode. He flew to Celadon City to finish off the Autobots.
Back to Pallet Town, Sora explained to Hot Rod about what he knew about Dr. Eggman.
"He seriously made a machine to turn the populists into robots?" Hot Rod asked.
"Yeah. Sonic foiled his plans several times before. And somehow, he got out," Sora said.
"Sounds like Mobius has its own share of Decepticons," Hot Rod said.
"So, we need to get there, soon," Sora said.
"Okay," Hot Rod said. "Perceptor, I need you to open a Ground Bridge at our current location!"
"Optimus hasn't given any orders to do so! Besides, you and Arcee are on surveillance duty!" Perceptor said, reminding Hot Rod.
"Optimus can chew me out for abandoning my post later! Just do it!" Hot Rod said.
"Against my better judgment, I'll do it," Perceptor activates the Ground Bridge as Hot Rod and Arcess enters through. Sora, Kairi, Karen, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Blossom the Mane Six, and the Digimon departs from the Autobots, allowing them to transform into robot mode. Sonic came running in.
"What took you?" Sonic asked.
"Sonic, good of you to show up," Agumon said.
"Where are Eggman and that robot?" Karen asked.
"He's here somewhere. Just gotta go look for him," Sonic said, running to find him. Suddenly, Optimus is caught in the blast as he lands on his back.
"Optimus!" Sora called out. Optimus turned to see Sora and the others.
"Sora, what are you doing here?" Optimus asked. "Hot Rod, Arcee, I told you to remain with them!"
"We can explain," Arcee said as a crash is heard. The smoke cleared as Lugnut is standing in robot mode, glaring at Optimus.
"In the name of the great and glorious Megatron, you are to be destroyed, along with every insignificant Autobot on this miserable planet!" Lugnut declared.
"Lugnut," Hot Rod said.
"You know this Con?" Meowth asked.
"Not personally. This Decepticon is said to be loyal to Megatron to no end," Hot Rod said.
"Prepare to perish, Optimus Prime!" Lugnut declared as Hot Rod tackled him.
"You should take your own advice, Con!" Hot Rod said. Lugnut pushes him off.
"Fool! You dare assault a loyal servant of Lord Megatron?" Lugnut asked.
"I more than dare to do so," Hot Rod said, giving Lugnut an uppercut. Just then, a blue blur ran across the large Decepticon.
"What in the name of Decepticons?" Lugnut asked.
"Hey, big guy!" Sonic greeted.
"What in the name of Megatron are you?" Lugnut asked.
"The name's Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. And I make sure that junk robots get junked good," Sonic said.
"How dare you call me a junk robot, you lowly creature!" Lugnut smacked and missed.
"Missed me, missed me, now you gotta- I'm not even going to finish that sentence," Sonic said.
"Stand still!" Lugnut demanded. Lugnut tried to get hold of the blue hedgehog, but every time he gets him in his sights, Lugnut misses. Sonic taunts the Decepticon to no end. "How dare you taunt me!"
"Here I am!" Sonic taunted. Lugnut stomped the ground, missing him. "Too slow."
"How are you so fast?!" Lugnut exclaimed.
"Catch me if you can," Sonic taunted.
"What is that?" Sideswipe asked.
"I don't know, but it makes Blurr look slow," Sunstreaker said.
"Who cares? Get him while he's distracted!" Hound said.
"Okay, fire on my mark," Ironhide said, aiming his gun along with Hound Sideswipe, and Sunstreaker. "Fire!" They fired at Lugnut, striking him a few times. Lugnut then starts running as Jazz, Inferno, Brawn, Prowl, Red Alert, Powerglide, Arcee, Cliffjumper, and Hot Rod kept firing at the large Decepticon. Lugnut charged at the firing Autobots, plowing through them.
"Fools! You cannot hope to withstand against the mighty Lugnut!" Lugnut said proudly.
"We can try, big guy!" Ironhide said. Lugnut grabbed Powerglide and threw him in the air. Powerglide transformed into his plane mode and flew in the air. Sonic was amazed by what he saw.
"Robots that can transform into planes? Now I've seen everything!" Sonic said.
"Long story, Sonic," Sora said. He turned to Pikachu. "Use Electro Web on that Con!" Pikachu jumped and hurled Electro Web into Lugnut's face as Powerglide fired at him again. Sonic rolled into a ball and dashed right into Lugnut in the chest. Just then, Dr. Eggman and Chariblast show up.
"Well, this is where the party is being held! Chariblast and I decided to crash this party since our invitations were lost in the mail!" Dr. Eggman said. He spots Sora and Kairi with the Autobots. "Well, isn't this a happy a happy surprise for me! Sora and his cute little girlfriend have come all this way! It's not even my birthday!"
"Even it was, Dr. Egghead, they'll be no cake and ice cream for you," Sora said.
"Because you're a real rotten egg," Kairi added.
"Yeah! You're going to lose you mustache-meany-eggy-pants!" Pinkie said.
"Flattery will get you nowhere, except flattened! But I would rather burn you into a crisp! Chariblast! Do me a favor and aim at Sora Ketchum and his friends," Dr. Eggman ordered. Chariblast took aim right at Sora. "Revenge is going to be mine all mine! Goodbye, Sora!" Sonic dashed right behind Eggman while he wasn't looking.
"Hey, why are you aiming at Sora, Eggman? Did you get bored with me?" Sonic asked. Dr. Eggman turned to see Sonic behind him.
"Sonic?! You're still here?!" Dr. Eggman exclaimed in shock.
"Yeah, I was hoping you'd show up again. And you can't truly be rid of me, because I'm like a boomerang! No matter how far you throw me, I just keep coming right back," Sonic said.
"Oh, you have been a blue thorn on my side long enough, Sonic! You foiled all of my evil plans for the last time! And I'll have the supreme pleasure of destroying you, Sora, and Kairi in one day after all!" Dr. Eggman stated. He pushes a button to activate a fighter suit all around. "Chariblast shall deal with Sora and his friends while I deal with you myself! Prepare to die, hedgehog!" He opened fire on the blue hedgehog, but Sonic easily dodged. "Hold still, you!"
"Catch me if you can!" Sonic taunted.
Chariblast kept firing at the group, but the Autobots fired at the missles, blocking them. Just then, Lugnut stood up.
"AUTOBOTS!" Lugnut shouted as he rushed at them when Agumon jumped as he started to Digivolve.
"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!" Greymon opened his mouth. "Nova Blast!" Greymon fired a giant fireball at the large Decepticon. Lugnut grabbed the dinosaur Digimon.
Just then, Twilight flew and fired her magic at Lugnut.
"Get your hands off of him!" Twilight shouted. She kept firing at Lugnut. He dropped Greymon as Lugnut transformed into his plane mode and started pursuing the alicorn.
"You will not escape me, whatever you are!" Lugnut said. Just then, several shots are fired at Lugnut, causing him to come crashing down. Lugnut transformed into robot mode. "Who dares fire upon Lugnut?"
"That would be me!" A voice spoke. The voice belonged to Elita One. "You're finished, Lugnut." Lugnut was surprised to see Elita One.
"Elita One?! Impossible! You were destroyed along with our fortress at the Sea of Rust!" Lugnut exclaimed.
"Even you should know that we Autobots are hard to kill," Elita One said.
"Then I'll have to try extra hard, and make sure your Spark is extinguished for good!" Lugnut said, charging at her. Elita One dodge and gave him a kick on the side. "How dare you!" Twilight zapped him again. She turned to her.
"I wasn't expecting another Autobot to show up," Twilight said.
"All in a line of duty," Elita One said. Lugnut got back up on his feet as he charged right at Elita One, but Chromia gave him a kick in the face.
"Who are you?" Twilight asked.
"I am Elita One. And this is Chromia. She is my second-in-command," Elita One said. "We are here because of the Decepticons being present on this planet."
"Are you here to help Optimus?" Twilight asked. This struck a cord with Elita.
"Optimus? Did you say Optimus?" Elita One asked in surprise. Lugnut came at them again.
"Elita, we need to focus on him first," Chromia said.
"Agreed," Elita said. "Right now, Lugnut is our highest priority."
"In the name of Lord Megatron, supreme leader of the Decepticons, I shall bring back the heads of Optimus Prime and Elita One, so he will keep them both as his trophies, and he shall reward me greatly!" Lugnut said.
Over to Sonic and Dr. Eggman, the evil scientist tried to stomp on Sonic, but he keeps on missing him.
"What's the matter, Eggman? You feeling rusty?" Sonic asked.
"Just keep talking, hedgehog! Once I'm done with you, your silence will be the sweetest thing ever!" Dr. Eggman said, doing another stomp. Sonic ran to avoid Eggman's stomp. "D'oh!"
The Autobots kept firing at Chariblast, but the robot kept on dodging. Sora taps into his aura ability and hurls an orb of aura at the robot, striking the head. Just then, Firestar, Moonracer, Greenlight, and Lancer joined in the firing. The blasts chips off the Charizard robot's parts, allowing Sora to finish off the robot in an explosion.
"Nice aim, Sora," Gabumon said.
"Look at that. Looks like Sora just broke your little toy. He wouldn't have to do that if you just played nice," Sonic said.
"I'll deal with him after I deal with you!" Dr. Eggman said.
"I don't think so!" Sonic said, doing his signature spin attack. Dr. Eggman inside of his Eggmobile ejects as soon as the robot body explodes. Dr. Eggman screams as he goes flying in the air.
"I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!" Dr. Eggman shouted as a star twinkles in the distance.
"Bye-bye, Egghead! It's been fun!" Sonic said. He laughed to himself. "Now life has meaning again."
"Good work, Sonic," Sora said.
"Same to you, Sora," Sonic said.
"Very impressive," Optimus said. "You have my thanks."
"Think nothing of it," Sonic said.
"Sonic, meet Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots. Optimus, meet Sonic the Hedgehog," Sora said. Sonic looked up to the Autobot leader as he looked at the female Autobots.
"Thank you, fellow Autobots," Optimus said.
"It's the least we can do, Optimus," Greenlight said.
"Elita One will be thrilled to see that you're alive," Moonracer said. Optimus gave a light gasp.
"Elita One? Alive?" Optimus asked.
"Probably not for long," Firestar said.
They begin to open fire on Lugnut as he looked at the Autobots coming at him. Know he couldn't match them by himself, and due to his injuries, he transformed to his plane mode and flew off.
"I'll go after him!" Powerglide said.
"No, Powerglide," Optimus said. "Let him go. We are in no shape to pursue." Elita One turned in surprise, seeing Optimus again for the first time in ten thousand years.
"Optimus? Is it really you?" Elita One asked.
"Elita?" Optimus asked just as surprised.
Over to Lugnut, he has returned to the Nemesis, transformed to robot mode. Megatron stood before Lugnut.
"I trust you were successful in destroying Optimus Prime?" Megatron asked.
"Forgive me, master. I have failed you," Lugnut said, bowing in forgiveness. Megatron was slightly angered.
"What happened?" Megatron demanded.
"I arrived to destroy them as you ordered, my liege, but they had unexpected back up. It was a band if female Autobots. And what's more, Elita One is leading them," Lugnut said.
"Elita One?! She's alive?!" Megatron exclaimed in anger.
"I swear by your greatness, I speak the truth, master. But that is hardly an excuse for my failure. I am ready to die for my failure, my lord," Lugnut said. Megatron grinned.
"You have done more than you think, Lugnut," Megatron said. Lugnut looked up to his master with confusion. "You have proven more trustworthy than most. You were honest in your failure, and such honesty deserves reward. Most would have lied about their failures, just like Starscream. You have more loyalty than most, and your loyalty deserves reward. You should serve as a role model for many. Go and report to Knockout. He will tend to your wounds."
"As you wish, master," Lugnut said. He was pleased that he was sparred Megatron's wrath despite his failure.
"I knew Elita One wasn't easy to destroy. And today has proven that to me," Megatron said.
Over to Team Shadow HQ, Dr. Eggman crashed upon entry as Mateus stood before him.
"I see you have returned, Dr. Eggman," Mateus said.
"So, I went behind your back and struck out on my own! I just wasn't expecting that blasted Sonic to show up when he did!" Dr. Eggman said.
"Yes, but it drew his attention as I hoped it would," Mateus said. Eggman looked at him funny..
"You knew I was going to try something?" Dr. Eggman asked.
"Of course. You have done more than what my Team Shadow forces could do, doctor. You drew them out. This is only the beginning," Mateus said.
Over to the Ark, Hot Rod and Arcee stood before Optimus as he looked at them quite sternly. Sora, Kairi, Karen, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, Sonic, the Mane Six, Spike, Starlight, the Young Six, and the Digimon were present as well.
"Hot Rod, Arcee, you both have exercised poor judgement by allowing the humans to accompany you," Optimus said.
"Sorry, Optimus," Arcee said.
"It won't happen again," Hot Rod said.
"Optimus, it wasn't their fault," Sora said. "It was my idea. It was all because we convinced them."
"It's true, Optimus. Sora knew about that Eggman character, and we wanted to help," Applejack said.
"Regardless, the Decepticon would have been there and used you as their shields," Optimus said. "I would never forgive myself if one of you have died by their hands." Sora, Kairi, and Karen understood what he meant. He turned to Elita One and her crew. "If we had not been in the right place at the right time, we would not have found you again, Elita."
"Yes, Optimus. There were rumors that you have been killed. Now I can see that those rumors are wrong," Elita One said.
"How did you survive? The fortress exploded in the Sea of Rust," Optimus said.
"After you have escaped, I have found a single escape pod and used it to escape. I couldn't catch up with you, so I stayed behind," Elita One explained.
"Why did you not try to contact us? We would have sent a unit to search for you," Optimus said.
"As you know, the war has taken its toll on Cybertron. I attempted to reach your ship before you could take off, but it was too late. As we stayed behind, I led a unit to fight off the Decepticons on Cybertron. We were forced to leave Cybertron as well, but we had trouble keeping track of you due to random Decepticon attacks throughout space," Elita One explained.
"You mentioned that you heard Optimus died. How did you hear about that?" Ratchet asked.
"I have heard a transmission from one of their communications, and I was devastated by this bit of news. A part of me didn't want to believe it, but we had to continue the war, but throughout the years, we kept fighting the Decepticons. We then picked up Decepticon signals on this planet, and we arrived here. We also picked up Autobot signals as well, but until now, I didn't know it was you. And now I know," Elita One said.
"A miracle has presented itself," Optimus said. "After all this time, I thought I have lost you, believing you were gone. I should have searched for you, and brought you back with us."
"The past is the past, Optimus," Elita One said. "What matters is now." Optimus and Elita held hands.
"Okay, someone want to fill us in?" Sora asked. Ratchet was happy to oblige him.
"Optimus Prime and Elita One were lovers long before the war for Cybertron began," Ratchet explained.
"So, robots that can fall in love," Agumon said.
"That's one way to put it," Ratchet said. "We thought we lost Elita One when we went on a mission to destroy the Decepticon fortress in the Sea of Rust. After that, Optimus blamed himself for what happened to her. She was the only one Optimus has ever loved."
"How romantic," Rarity swooned.
"They must be happy to be together again now," Fluttershy said.
"They should be," Sora said.
He looked at Optimus and Elita One as they looked at each other again. It reminds him a lot of himself and Kairi when they were just falling in love, just how he always looked at her.
