The tinkling of Rey's alarm wakes them both up in the morning. Rey yawns as she turns off the alarm and snuggles into Ben's arms. She loves how warm his chest feels against her back and how his arms hold her close, wrapped snugly around her waist.
"I'll destroy that alarm," he mumbles sleepily.
Rey giggles and pats his arm lovingly.
"Right, like you told Luke you would destroy me?" she teases.
"Mmmm, don't tempt me, Rey," he teases back, attacking her neck with countless kisses.
Her giggles fill the space as she tries to gain control. Rey finally pushes Ben onto his back and climbs on top of him. She leans down and kisses him hungrily, moaning as his hands grip her waist. Their hips connect together and she feels a stirring below her from Ben. Rey pauses and looks down at him, her hair hanging down on either side of her face. Ben chuckles and leans up to kiss her.
"Are you curious?" he asks softly.
"Yes…" she responds breathlessly.
Rey moves her hips cautiously over his crotch. They both moan from the sensation. Even though they are wearing clothes, they can still feel the warmth on either side. Ben sits up and holds Rey close, loving how she straddles his lap so perfectly.
"Soon enough, my love," he breathes against her lips.
They kiss passionately and hold each other close for a few more moments. Then they get out of bed and dress themselves. Ben and Rey wear constant smiles as they get ready for the day ahead. Before they head out, Ben pulls Rey into his arms and kisses her deeply.
"This is the beginning of forever," he whispers.
"Forever isn't enough," she breathes.
Ben chuckles and kisses her forehead before pulling her into his big, warm embrace.
"It's a start. As long as I'm with you, my path will always be clear, Rey," he says.
"As am I, my Ben," she replies.
She squeezes him tightly before pulling back. Smiling, she slides her hand into his and they move out of their quarters. Ben walks Rey to Jannah and Rose's room so she can get ready, kissing her cheek before he departs. Rey watches him walk away and sighs, her hand resting over her heart.
I love you, she shares through their bond.
I love you more, Ben shares back, a smile on his face as he greets C-3PO, Poe, and Finn.
Rose and Jannah help Rey get ready for the ceremony. They lovingly braid her hair in two places, allowing the rest of her hair to flow freely. Rey requested this style to reflect Ben's Alderaanian heritage and because she knew he likes her hair down. She stares at herself in the mirror and smiles, never feeling more beautiful than in this moment.
Ben stares at himself in the mirror and smiles softly. He hopes Rey will like his tuxedo. This is something he is not used to wearing. Since coming back to the light, Ben enjoys dressing in comfort versus all the layers he wore as Kylo Ren. Thankfully this tuxedo is not as restricting on him. Poe and Finn stand beside him and clap him on the shoulders, showing their approval.
"Ben is one lucky guy," Rose sighs as she looks at Rey.
Rey turns to face her friends, her floor-length wedding gown swishing across the floor. She has never worn anything so remarkable in her life.
"You're going to take good care of her, right?" Finn asks Ben.
He smiles at Ben but the former Supreme Leader does not miss the serious tone of his question.
"I love her more than anything. I just can't believe I was lucky enough to find her," Ben explains.
"We're very happy for you both," Poe says as he extends a hand to Ben.
He shakes the general's hand before being pulled into a hug with both gentlemen.
"Are you ready?" Jannah asks, patting Rey on the arm with a smile.
Taking a deep breath, Rey looks from Rose to Jannah and smiles.
"I've never been more ready," she breathes.
