Episode 520: Starscream's Downfall
Shortly after the battle with Vivian, much to Sora's dismay, he was crowded by screaming fan girls, asking him for an autograph or a date. Sora managed to get through the fan girls, and made it to the Pokémon Center to Pikachu and Butterfree for the two of them to be healed. But it didn't take long until Sora was getting mobbed again by the girls.
"Can I have an your autograph?"
"Go out with me on a date!"
"Marry me!"
Just then, Twilight used her magic to freeze them in place.
"Thanks for the save, Twilight," Sora said.
"No problem, Sora," Twilight said. "That's what friends are for." That made Sora smile. A few short moments later, Pikachu and Butterfree were completely healed.
"Your Pikachu and Butterfree are fighting fit," Nurse Joy said.
"Thank you, Nurse Joy," Sora said. Pikachu returned to Sora's shoulder as he took the Pokéball containing Butterfree. Everyone took their leave, but Twilight made sure to undo the spell on the girls.
Meanwhile, Starscream, the Stunticons, and the Combaticons were now at a jungle. Something has hit Starscream's radar, and he was determined to see what it was.
"What are we doing out here?" Motormaster asked.
"What could be so important, Starscream?" Onslaught asked.
"A Decepticon signal sparked right up, and I suspect it'll be more potential soldiers for my cause," Starscream said.
As they made their way through, they were being attacked by a troop of Zarude, but they stood little chance against the Decepticons. They fled from the Decepticons in fear.
"You better run!" Wildrider said.
"What cowards!" Drag Strip said.
"We should go after them!" Brawl said.
"Leave them, Brawl. Our mission is more important than any of those pathetic creatures," Starscream said.
Starscream and his Decepticon forces continued through the jungle as the jungle Pokémon were afraid of them. They came across what they were looking for. It was five stasis pods with the Decepticon insignia.
"Are those what we're looking for?" Breakdown asked.
"Indeed it is, Breakdown. Now to awaken them," Starscream said. He activated the pods and out came the five Decepticons. They all transformed into five animals. One is a lion, one is an eagle, one is a bull, one is a rhino, and the fifth one is a tiger.
"What the?" Dead End asked.
"Predacons. I never would have expected this," Starscream said.
"Headstrong, Rampage, you take the ones on the left! Tantrum, you go to the right with me! Divebomb, you take to the skies!" The lion said.
"You got it, Razorclaw!" Divebomb said.
Razorclaw and Tantrum went right at the Stunticons as Rampage and Headstrong came right at the Combaticons. Divebomb came at Starscream. Razorclaw jumped on Swindle as Tantrum rammed into Brawl and Vortex. Headstrong rammed into Breakdown as Rampage leapt at Drag Strip.
"Motormaster, help Brawl and Swindle! Onslaught, you help Breakdown and Drag Strip!" Starscream ordered.
"Why should I help them?" Onslaught asked.
"Just do what I say!" Starscream said. "Both of you!" The leaders of the Decepticon groups took the Predacons off of them as Starscream fired at Divebomb. "You're a slippery one." He kept on firing. "Take them down, but do not destroy them!"
"They're going to destroy us!" Blast Off said.
"Just do what I say!" Starscream said. The Combaticons and the Stunticons duked it out with the Predacons. Onslaught and Motormaster dealt with Razorclaw as Drag Strip and Blast Off dealt with Rampage. Breakdown and Swindle set their sights on Divebomb. Wildrider and Brawl came right Headstrong as Dead End and Vortex dealt with Tantrum. Starscream then aimed at each of the Predacons and fired at them. They were each struck as Razorclaw growled in frustration.
"This is getting us nowhere! Predacons! Merge together!" Razorclaw ordered. The Predacons combine with each other. Razorclaw became the torso as Divebomb became the left arm and the wings. Rampage became the right arm. Headstrong became the left leg and Tantrum became the right leg. "Long live Predaking!"
"Stunticons! Combine!" Motormaster ordered. The Stunticons combined into Menasor.
"Combaticons! Combine!" Onslaught ordered. The Combaticons all combined into one giant robot. Onslaught became the torso. Vortex became the left arm and Blast Off became the right arm. Brawl became the left leg as Swindle became the right back. "Bruticus will crush you!" Predaking came at the two opposing Decepticon combiner, giving each other some punches. Bruticus gave the Predacon combiner a kick as Menasor gave Predaking a shove. Starscream transformed into jet mode and fired at Predaking several times. He kept firing at him until Predaking came apart. Starscream transformed back to robot mode.
"Enough! Menasor, Bruticus, stand down!" Starscream said. The two combiners did as they were told. "Predacons, we apologize for attacking you. I can understand you are confused, but you have nothing to fear from us. We are all Decepticons here."
"De...cepti...cons?" Razorclaw asked.
"Yes, Razorclaw, isn't it? I was mighty impressed. You may appear to be primitive, but you fight like Decepticons. And that is what you are," Starscream said.
"We are Decepticons?" Razorclaw asked.
"Yes. We share the same symbol as you. Follow me, and I will see to it that you will have a place in my new Decepticon empire," Starscream said. He laughed as he knew he has recruited another batch of soldiers for his growing army. He was unaware that Laserbeak was spying on him. Through Laserbeak's eyes, Soundwave has learned of Starscream's ambitions as did Megatron.
"Your Decepticon empire, eh? I would plan my treachery carefully if I were you, Starscream," Megatron said. Lugnut stepped in.
"Shall I eliminate him and his followers, master?" Lugnut asked.
"No. I will allow Starscream to carry out his operations. And when he has failed, the Stunticons, Combaticons, and Predacons will side against him for his incompetence, and thus they will have no choice but to follow me," Megatron said.
"Of course, master," Lugnut said. Soundwave received a notification from Cybertron.
"Lord Megatron, Shockwave is making contact," Soundwave said.
"Send it through, Soundwave," Megatron commanded.
"At once, Lord Megatron," Soundwave said. He displayed Shockwave on the screen.
"Shockwave. I trust you have finished your project?" Megatron asked.
"Indeed, Lord Megatron. I shall have them sent to you at once," Shockwave said. With that said, Soundwave activated the Space Bridge, allowing Shockwave to come through along with several weapons. Weapons of mass destruction. Megatron grinned evilly as he inspected them.
"Excellent as always, Shockwave. Your genius knows no bounds," Megatron said.
"I have calculated your praise, Lord Megatron," Shockwave said.
"Lord Megatron," Starscream said through the communications.
"Yes, Starscream, what is it?" Megatron asked.
"I am requesting a Ground Bridge in my current position," Starscream said.
"Of course," Megatron said. Soundwave activated the Ground Bridge and allowed Starscream, the Stunticons, the Combaticons, and the Predacons to enter. "I see you have returned with Predacons, Starscream. An impressive find."
"Yes, they shall serve you well, my liege," Starscream said. He turned to see Shockwave behind Megatron. "Shockwave? When did you get here?" Shockwave didn't answer.
"Lord Megatron, with your permission, I would like to go to my lab and prepare tests for the new weapons," Shockwave said.
"Permission is granted, Shockwave," Megatron said. Shockwave bumped into Starscream's shoulder, making him scowl.
"Drat! I didn't expect Shockwave to return before I could make my move. No matter. Once Megatron has been dealt with, I'll keep Shockwave's head as a trophy," Starscream said in his thoughts.
"Starscream, I believe our newest additions would require some care," Megatron said.
"Yes, I was about to head down there at once," Starscream said. "Pardon me, master." He escorts the Predacons to Knockout's medical bay to have them checked.
A couple of days have passed, and things were quiet for the most part again, but so far, no one heard anything. Celadon City was slowly getting back to normal since some buildings are being rebuilt because of Dr. Eggman's attack. Also, there were no activities from Team Shadow or the Decepticons which was the most disturbing.
On Saturday, Sora, Karen, Pikachu, Blossom, and Delia went to visit Ventus and his family. Sora was looking forward in playing with his newest cousin since she was born. Sora rang the doorbell and Cattleya answered it seeing a smile on her face.
"How wonderful to see you again," Cattleya said. She gave her niece and nephew a hug.
"You did invite us down to visit," Delia said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Pikachu," Blossom added.
"You'll find Ventus and Yuki playing in the living room," Cattleya said. The siblings and the two Pikachu went to the living room, seeing Ventus and his sister playing.
"Hey, Ven," Sora greeted.
"Sora, hey!" Ventus said as Yuki laughed and clapped her hands. Karen went to her cousin.
"Hiya, Yuki! You're getting so big!" Karen said. She starts to shower her with some kisses on the cheek. She then gave her a raspberry on her stomach, making her laugh harder.myself.
"How is my favorite niece?" Delia cooed. Yuki smiled warmly as she happily reached for her aunt. Karen handed her to her mother and she cooed right at her. She did that with Sora and Ventus when they were babies themselves. Sparky was rolling on a ball as Pikachu and Blossom helped him up.
Over to Kairi's house, she was already missing Sora since he and his family left to visit his relatives in Porta Vista, but she got to spend time with her baby brother. She played this little piggy with him.
"This little piggy went to market," Kairi said, wiggling his big toe. She worked her way with his other toes. "This little piggy stayed home. This little piggy had roast beef. This little piggy had none." She made her way to his littlest toe. "And this little piggy cried We-we-we-we all the way home!" Seth laughed as Kairi then tickled his belly. Yuta and Mirei were watching lovingly at their kids.
"Isn't that the sweetest thing you have ever seen?" Mirei asked.
"It sure is, honey," Yuta agreed with his wife. "Kairi loves her baby brother just like I knew she would." He sighed, making Mirei notice.
"Honey, what's wrong?" Mirei asked.
"Not much. It's just how do you think we can explain it to him about how we cut ourselves from Kairi's life when she was a baby? I know it was to protect her from Jakira, but still..." Yuta said. Mirei understood what her husband meant.
"I know, Yuta. I've been having those same worries. We both made the promise to each other that we will not do the same to our son like we did with our daughter. I am worried that he'll be upset just like Kairi was when she saw us again. Jakira is no longer a threat to us," Mirei said.
"You're right. We will have to tell him when he is old enough. Kairi understood it as did Sora and Karen," Yuta said.
Sora, Kairi, and Karen promised them not to mention it to Seth until he gets older, because they knew Seth would be very upset when the truth gets out.
The Pichu then played with Seth as well as Angel joined right in. The Pichu then rubbed against Angel and she hugged them lovingly for her boyfriend's adoptive brothers same as she loved Axew and Kairi loves Ventus, Seth, and Yuki.
Elsewhere, Snake, Ryu, Nights, and Ness sat on a table. Sitting in a chair is a green anthromorphic gecko, eating some donuts and popcorn with flies. He has purple stripes on his back. The TV was so loud, Ryu couldn't think straight.
"Turn that off, Gex!" Ryu said.
"Make me," Gex taunted. Ryu stood up, ready to go when Nights got between them.
"Now, now. No need for violence," Nights said.
"That lizard has been nothing but a waste ever since we brought him along!" Ryu said. "All he's been doing ever since we got here was sit on his ass and watch more TV than a child!"
"For a karate man, you can be pretty moody," Gex said.
"I'm entitled to be," Ryu said.
Just then, a small, cute green anthromorphic crocodile with two beady eyes, a long snout, two nostrils and one fang came walking in. He also has a yellow belly, a short green tail which he short arms, four fingered hands, and large, three-clawed feet. He wore a backpack. Three more are humanoid toads, one is dark green. He a utility belt, gloves and a wrist computer, as well as studded knee pads. Another has green skin and wearing shades, red ninja ribbons on his arms and studded kneepads. And the third one is large, bulky size and has brown skin. He's also wearing wristbands and knee pads. Another one is a chubby man wearing a green jumpsuit and is wearing a red cape. He also wore a small black mask. And another is an earthworm in a spacesuit.
"Aren't the others with you?" Snake asked.
"They're patrolling right now, so it's just us," the crocodile said.
"Better than nothing," Snake said.
"We can't wait for them to show up," a voice said. It turns out to be Red, wearing his usual outfit.
"Red. I was wondering when you were going to show up," Ryu said.
"Okay, Ryu, Ness, Solid Snake, Nights, Gex, Croc, Earthworm Jim, Boogerman, and the Battletoads, all present and accounted for," Red said. "Zitz, Rash, and Pimple."
"Okay, we know we are, so let's cut to the chase," Rash said.
"Right. The Brotherhood of Darkness is back, and they're gathering more members than there were before they were defeated," Red said.
"If they are back, then why would they come here?" Ness asked.
"Someone brought them here. The attack by Dr. Eggman was proof of that," Red said. "They have their sights on the one who defeated them in the first place. Sora Ketchum."
"Why would they want revenge a kid?" Ryu asked.
"Not just him, but all the others who were involved in their downfall. His girlfriend included," Red said. "When they struck my radar, I knew I couldn't take them alone, so I called on you and some others for help. We could be dealing with an army of villains, and we need all the help we could get."
"You can count me in, and send these chumps home," Earthworm Jim said.
"You know I can easily take you, Jim," Ryu said.
"Knock it off! I didn't bring you here just for petty squabbles. I brought you here to help contain this threat," Red said.
Back at the house, Mimey is busy keeping tabs on his giant watermelon for the giant vegetable contest, but that didn't get his mind off of what Valiant did to Delia.
Meanwhile, Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill returned to Kanto where Riku came across a Scyther. The Scyther came at Eevee with its sickle arms.
"It's coming at Eevee with Slash! Okay, Eevee! Dodge and use Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered. Eevee dodged Scyther's Slash. "Use Quick Attack!" Eevee dashed at Scyther, landing a hit. "Now use Swift!" Eevee unleashed Swift dealing some damage. "One more Shadow Ball!" Eevee fired Shadow Ball at Scyther. Riku took out a Pokéball and threw it. Scyther flowed inside and the Pokéball wobbled around violently, knowing it wasn't going to stay in that easily. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Riku took the Pokéball in his hand. "A great catch." He pets Eevee on the head. "That was a great battle, Eevee."
"Vee," Eevee said.
Just then, Sonic came running across Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill. Sonic stopped in place.
"Hey, guys," Sonic greeted.
"Sonic? When did you get here?" Riku asked.
"How are Tails, Amy, and everyone else?" Naminé asked.
"Long story short, things have been quiet with Dr. Eggman out of business, but that was until he showed up in Celadon City a little while back," Sonic said.
"Eggman's here, too?" Riku asked.
"Eevee," Eevee growled.
"Yeah, and I whooped him... again. What brings you here?" Sonic asked.
"Looking for Sora," Riku said.
"He's visiting his relatives right now. If you want, I can take you there myself," Sonic said.
"Uh, that won't be necessary," Riku said.
Over to Ventus's house, Sora is having Yuki ride on his back.
"I'm a Ponyta!" Sora said, pretending to neigh like one. Yuki rode on his back as Delia and Cattleya thought it was cute to watch. Cattleya took a picture of the two of them.
"Kairi is going to bust a button when she sees this," Delia said.
"She sure would," Cattleya agreed.
The two women watched as Sora and Yuki played together. Pikachu and Sparky laughed as Karen and Ventus watched as they laughed.
Over to Kairi's house, she placed her baby brother in his crib as he slept happily. Kairi gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Sleep tight, little brother," Kairi said lovingly.
Meanwhile, Starscream along with the Stunticons, the Combaticons, and the Predacons have arrived to a set of coordinates.
"You know what to do," Starscream said. The Decepticons all launched their attacks on a small town, taking all the people and Pokémon hostage. Some of the Pokémon tried to fight them off, but they were overmatched by the Decepticons. Rainbow Dash was in the area. She made contact with the Ark.
"Dashie to the bots. A batch of Cons are on the move in a small town. All the locals are being taken rounded up," Rainbow Dash said.
Over to the Ark, Perceptor responded.
"I am locked on your coordinates, Rainbow Dash. I'll send in some reinforcements at once," Perceptor said. He made contact with other Autobots. "Attention! The Decepticons are making a move! I am transmitting the coordinates to you."
Optimus, Elita One, Jazz, Chromia, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Ratchet, Mirage, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Huffer, the Dinobots, the Aerialbots, and the Protectobots all readied themselves as the Autobots (except the Dinobots as they're in dinosaur mode) transformed into vehicle mode and drove through the Ground Bridge.
Over to Starscream, he grinned evilly as he sees the Autobots transforming into robot mode.
"Ah, the Autobots are taking the bait, just as I thought they would. How predictable," Starscream said. He turned to his forces. "Decepticons! Merge together!" The Stunticons merged into Menasor as the Combaticons merged as Bruticus, and the Predacons merged as Predaking.
"It's Starscream!" Chromia said.
"And he has Combaticons and Predacons with him!" Cliffjumper said.
"Autobots, open fire!" Optimus ordered as they fired at the combiners.
"Bruticus smash puny Autobots!" Bruticus said.
"Not before Predaking!" Predaking stated.
Dinobots! Merge to become Volcanicus!" Grimlock ordered. The Dinobots merged into Volcanicus.
"Aerialbots! Merge!" Silverbolt ordered. The Aerialbots merged into Superion once again.
"You no only ones who can merge!" Volcanicus said.
"So, you have combiners as well. The numbers might be your favor, but the power's in mine!" Starscream gloated.
"We'll see about that! Protectobots! Merge!" Hot Spot ordered. The Protectobots combined into a new bot. Hot Spot became the torso. First Aid became the left arm, Blades became the right arm. Streetwise became the left leg as Groove became the right leg. "Defensor is on the defense!"
"Bring out an army of combiners you want! My warriors are more than a match for you and your forces, Prime!" Starscream said, firing at at the Autobots. Optimus and Elita One fired off as Jazz and Chromia did the same thing. Cliffjumper, Ratchet, Ironhide, and Bumblebee fired at Menasor, but he kicked them away. Superion came right at Menasor as Defensor came at Bruticus.
"We haven't finished our last dance, Menasor!" Superion said.
"Let's finish it now!" Menasor said, giving him an uppercut. Volcanicus gave Predaking a punch as Predaking punched him back.
"You dare strike Predaking?! Predaking strikes you back!" Predaking strikes Volcanicus back. Volcanicus roared back.
"Yes! Give them what they deserve, my soldiers!" Starscream said.
"Hey! How about I help you get what's coming at you!" Rainbow Dash said, dashing at Starscream.
"What the?! Another blue pest? You think you can survive a direct challenge against the mighty Starscream?" Starscream asked.
"I took on bad guys who were just as boastful as you! And I know I can literally fly circles around you 'mighty Starscream'!" Rainbow Dash said. "And if Sonic can make a monkey out of you, then I don't see why I can't!"
"Rainbow Dash, don't! Starscream is too powerful for you!" Optimus warned.
"Chillax, Optimus. He's all talk!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Such bravado from such a brave creature, but you will not live long enough to regret your arrogance! Prepare to die!" Starscream said. Rainbow Dash flew right at Starscream, leaving behind a rainbow trail behind her, and bucked his leg. "Is this supposed to be a joke? I do not find this to be humorous! I am going to enjoy killing you!" Rainbow Dash tagged his head with her hoof.
"Tag, you're it!" Rainbow Dash taunted. She flew above him, making the Decepticon growl. He transformed into jet mode and flew after her.
Optimus was impressed by how Rainbow Dash was making a fool out of Starscream. He would have to worry about her as soon as they deal with the three combiners.
"Perceptor, bring in reinforcements," Optimus spoke his communicator. A Ground Bridge opens as the rest of the Autobots emerged and took on the combiners at once. They were overwhelmed by the combined might of the Autobots, so they were given no choice but to retreat. They came apart before they did so.
"After them!" Greenlight said.
"Let them go! They had enough," Optimus said.
Up in the sky, Starscream searches for the cyan pegasus as she hid herself in the clouds. He transformed into robot mode.
"I know you're here somewhere, so come out," Starscream said. She brought a black cloud over his head. "Hey! What are you doing?!" Rainbow Dash kicked the cloud, making him yelp in pain as Starscream is struck by the lightning. "AAH! Why you!" She gave one more kick before Starscream fell to the ground.
"How would you like a Rainblow Dryer?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Rainblow Dryer? What on Cybertron is that?" Starscream asked.
"You're about to find out!" Rainbow Dash said. She flew all around him, creating a tornado.
"What trick is this? Are you mocking me?!" Starscream asked as the twister was getting bigger and bigger. "What are you doing? Stop it at once!" She kept going until the twister was big enough to carry the Decepticon inside it. Starscream transformed into jet mode, but he couldn't break through because of the strong winds being blown inside it. "YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!"
"Put it on my tab!" Rainbow Dash said, giving Starscream a kick, making go flying out of control. Starscream screamed as he swerved out of control. The Stunticons, Combaticons, and the Predacons were still running as a Ground Bridge opens and they end up back on the Nemesis. Starscream crashed landed aboard as he transformed back to robot mode. Starscream groaned as Megatron approached him.
"Had some trouble, Starscream?" Megatron asked.
"Nothing you need to concern yourself over, master. If you need me, I'll head on over to Knockout's to have myself patched up," Starscream said nervously. He got on his feet and went down the halls. He was unaware that Laserbeak returned and watched the whole thing from start to finish.
"Nothing I need to concern myself over, hm? That remains to be seen," Megatron said.
Rainbow Dash fluttered back down as the Autobots were impressed by how Rainbow Dash took on Starscream.
"Gotta hand it to you, Rainbow, that was some fine flying," Powerglide said.
"You made Starscream look stupider than he already did," Warpath added.
"You deserve a gold medal for that," Smokescreen said.
"Your speed and agility was most impressive, Rainbow Dash. Many would never have challenged Starscream and live to tell it. You are not like those many," Optimus said.
"Thanks, Optimus. I couldn't let those Cons do you in. And I wanted a piece of Starscream after Sonic had his share," Rainbow Dash said. "Also, you should have seen the look on his face when I caught him in that tornado!"
"You sure did a number on his ego," Cliffjumper said.
"Yeah, wish we could have seen that on those other Cons before they ran off like the cowards they are," Ironhide said.
"And I am certain Sora will be in quite a tale when he returns," Optimus said.
Aboard the Nemesis, Starscream was furious over his defeat by Rainbow Dash's hooves.
"How could that puny creature defeat me? Me, Megatron's second-in-command, leader of the Seekers, and one of the most feared Decepticons in history! If those fools know what's good for them, they'll keep their mouths shut," Starscream said.
"You love the sound of your own voice, Starscream?" Megatron asked, approaching him. Starscream flinched when he saw his master coming at him.
"How much of it did you hear?" Starscream asked.
"Pretty much all of it. Those fools aren't the only witnesses, Starscream," Megatron said as Laserbeak flew in and landed on his shoulder. Starscream realized Megatron was spying on him. "I know about your scheming, Starscream. It is no secret that you lost to those humans and those other creatures. The Stunticons didn't have to tell me anything. And did you think you can be leader of the Decepticons? Those Stunticons, Combaticons, and Predacons all failed because of your incompetence. And because of your incompetence, you couldn't lead a parade, let alone the Seekers."
"Lord Megatron, please! I wish to redeem myself! I will prove myself loyal to you," Starscream said.
"There will be no second chances, Starscream! You are no longer my second-in-command, and I hereby relieve you of your command of the Seekers," Megatron said. Starscream was stunned to hear that he has been demoted. "What good is a second-in-command to be defeated by a creature weaker than himself? And know that you will be under constant surveillance to be sure you are not planning anything else!"
"Lord Megatron, please reconsider," Starscream said.
"You have failed too many times! That will be all," Megatron said. Starscream scolwed at Megatron.
"Mark my words, Megatron, you will have what is coming to you, and I will seize control of the Decepticons for myself," Starscream said.
Megatron approached the Seekers.
"Thundercracker!" Megatron said. Thundercracker approached his master.
"Yes, Lord Megatron," Thundercracker said.
"Thundercracker, I came to personally inform you that you are being promoted as leader of the Seekers," Megatron said. Thundercracker was surprised by this bit of news.
"I am honored, my lord, but that would be Commander Starscream's post," Thundercracker said.
"Starscream is no longer commander. You are also my new second-in-command. I trust you will not disappoint me as did your predecessors, Thundercracker?" Megatron asked.
"No, Lord Megatron. I will wear this title with absolutely honor," Thundercracker said.
"I know you will," Megatron said. Thundercracker smiled as he is now the new second-in-command of the Decepticons, and leader of the Seekers.
That night, Sora and his family returned home as Kairi greeted her boyfriend with a loving kiss.
"How was the visit, Sora?" Kairi asked.
"It was fun. Just wish you were there," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
