Episode 524: Preparing For Kalos
Several days have passed since the Autobots left Earth to rebuild Cybertron. By then, things went back to how they were before the world knew about the Autobots and Decepticons; with the exception of the new space station provided to them. The AI explained that they can use it to travel to different dimensions, and different locations in the world. They gave that a test when they tried it out on Equestria as Shining Armor, Cadance, Flurry Heart, and the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They were shocked to hear that Discord has been making sure no one in Equestria knew they were gone. They were skeptical, but Discord said it was another way to make up for what happened. They even used it to bring over Toadsworth, Sally, Ray, and even Annette.They were amazed that they were floating in space.
"Gotta hand it to you, Sora, your world is amazing, and so is this place?" Sally said.
"Thanks, Sally," Sora said.
"You don't mind if Ray sticks around, do you?" Sally asked.
"Not at all, Sally. Just know that you'll be welcome here anytime. That's if Amy won't get jealous," Sora said, almost laughing.
"I could use a vacation here anytime," Sally said.
Later, Sora and Pikachu beams down back to Earth as he went to pick up some flowers for Kairi. He bought and paid for his purchase and he went to her house. He knocked on the door and Kairi answered.
"Pretty flowers for the pretty lady?" Sora asked, holding the flowers to her. Kairi accepts them.
"Oh, they're lovely," Kairi said, giving her boyfriend a deserved kiss on the lips. "You're very sweet."
"Thanks, Kairi. Just wanted to do something nice for you," Sora said. He kissed Kairi on the cheek. "You up for a stroll? That's if you aren't watching your little brother."
"My grandma's already tending to him. And I was about to go see you anyway," Kairi said.
"Great minds think alike," Sora said. He held out his hand and Kairi takes it. Pikachu did the same thing and the happy couples took their walk in town. Shining Armor, Cadance, and Flurry Heart were being given the tour of Pallet Town by Twilight and what perfect timing that they were stepping out.
"That's one thing that never changed," Cadance said.
"That's for sure," Shining Armor said.
Aboard the space station, Tails was going over the systems, and he was still amazed by the design.
"Whoever built this baby sure knew what they were doing," Tails said. A dimensional rift opened as Red came right through.
"Hey, Red. Missed you at the last battle," Tails said.
"Sorry, there was something going on, and it needed my full attention," Red said. He whistled as he found the design impressive. "Did you build this, Tails?"
"No, but I sure like it," Tails said.
"Did the Autobots give this to you, and where are they?" Red asked.
"They went back to Cybertron to rebuild their home planet. You should have been there. Optimus absorbed the Positive Energy from the Chaos Emeralds, and he went all Super Sonic on that giant thing!" Tails said.
"The Decepticons lost the war, huh?" Red asked.
"Better than that. The Decepticons are nothing but spare parts; especially Megatron," Tails said.
"Just glad to hear we won't be seeing them again anytime soon," Red said.
Over to Team Shadow HQ, it didn't take long until Team Shadow and the Brotherhood of Darkness learned of the Decepticons' destruction. Somehow, Mateus anticipated that Sora would have played a role in their downfall.
"Those Decepticons really bought the farm," Bowser said.
"It was cool that they can turn into jets though," Bowser Jr. added.
"Perhaps, but we should be so fortunate that our enemies helped destroy them," Mateus said.
"Why not just have those giant robots side with us, and this world would have been our playground?" Bowser Jr. asked.
"Even if the Decepticons were to become our allies, they would have betrayed us at the first opportunity. Not even I would have stood up to their onslaught," Mateus said.
"So, since they're gone, along with those do-good toaster, just what's next on the agenda?" Bowser asked.
"The goal remains the same, Bowser. We have opportives in the Kalos region, so they would have set up a base there by now," Mateus said.
"We'll move right in and take it for ourselves," Bowser Jr. said.
"It would be if Team Flare hasn't claimed the region for themselves. According to my spies inside, they're in search for something," Mateus said.
"Ooh, what could be down there?" Bowser Jr. asked, getting all giddy.
"I share your curiosity," Mateus said. "Could they be searching for what I think they are looking for?"
Back in Kanto, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel sat in a field of wildflowers. Sora and Pikachu each took a flower and placed it in their hair. They thought it was sweet of them.
Not too far, a Vulpix is sleeping soundly in the flower field. Unknown to the Vulpix, it was being watched by a slender young woman with fair skin and green eyes. Her light brown hair is mostly collected, though a few curly tufts protrude from her head. Clothing-wise, she wore a very fashionable outfit that's showing off her slender frame. It consists of a tight black and red shirt with a white collar and medium-length sleeves with white cuffs, along with skin-tight gray pants, a huge brown and silver belt, and very long brown boots with gray buckles. She also wore two yellow earrings and paints her nails red to express herself. She also wore a headset composed of a microphone on her left side and a camera on her right.
The Vulpix wakes up and gave a loud yawn. The fox Pokémon then sniffed the flowers around it.
"Vulpix wakes up and gives the flowers a good sniffing," the young woman said. Vulpix does its stretching before taking off. "Vulpix then goes off to its daily business." She quietly followed the Vulpix when it came across Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel. "Huh? Trainers?" She turns off her headset.
"Oh, look at that, a Vulpix, how cute!" Kairi cooed.
"Vulpux," the Vulpix said.
"This Vulpix reminds me of the one I had before I evolved her into a Ninetales," Sora said.
"She does the same with me. To be honest, a Vulpix is one of the Pokémon I wanted for a long time. And it looks like I might have one of my own," Kairi said. She turned to Angel. "You ready to go, Angel?"
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Angel! Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel ran towards Vulpix. It dodged and came at Angel with a Quick Attack of her own. Vulpix then unleashed an Ember onto Angel, and she was struck. "Angel! Use Headbutt!" Angel lands a Headbutt onto Vulpix. She goes backwards and lands on her feet like a cat. Vulpix then comes at Angel with a Tail Slap. She smacked Angel two times. "Angel! Use Swift!" Angel unleashed Swift and lands a hit on tthe fox Pokéball. "Use Iron Tail!" Angel lands a hit with Iron Tail. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. Vulpix flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi walks up to the Pokéball and takes it in her hand. "Yay! Now I have my own Kantonian Vulpix!"
"Eev, Eevee, vee!" Angel cheered.
"Good catch, Kairi," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
The girls both smiled when the young woman approached them both.
"That was a great catch," the young woman said.
"Thanks," Kairi said.
"Have you been there long?" Sora asked.
"Yeah. I should introduce myself. I'm Alexa. I'm what you would call a Pokémon journalist," Alexa said.
"Pokémon journalist? You mean you go and write articles on Pokémon in the wild and take their pictures?" Kairi asked.
"That's right. And I was doing exactly that Vulpix just now," Alexa said. "Here are samples of my work." She shows the couple the pictures she took in Pokémon related magazines.
"These are great," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Thank you, so what are your names?" Alexa asked.
"I'm Sora, and you know this guy here is," Sora introduced, gesturing to Pikachu.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I'm Kairi, and this is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"It's good to meet you all," Alexa said. "I was on my way to Professor Oak's lab to do an interview. Would you two know where I can find him?"
"Yeah, he should be there right now," Sora said.
"If you want, we can personally escort you there," Kairi offered. Alexa smiled.
"Thank you both, I really appreciate it a lot," Alexa said. The couple escorted Alexa to Professor Oak's lab when Meowth came along.
"Sora, Kairi, I was looking for you," Meowth said. Alexa was stunned when she heard Meowth.
"Wow! A talking Meowth!" Alexa exclaimed. She took out a notepad and a pen. "I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions, talking Meowth! How can you speak like a person, and who taught you to speak? Please tell me everything!"
"Uh," Meowth could only say as she was getting all giddy. "She's getting awfully close."
"Um, you said you have an interview with Professor Oak," Sora reminded her.
"Right! You're right," Alexa said. "It's just I never expected a talking Meowth showing up just now."
"Meowth is the only Pokémon that can talk," Sora said. He then said under his breath, "Not counting Mewtwo."
"Why were you looking for us, Meowth?" Kairi asked.
"Right. Your moms wanted me to look for ya, because there's something big going on," Meowth said.
"Something big?" Sora asked.
"You're just gotta have to come with me and see," Meowth said.
"Sure, as soon as we're done getting her to Professor Oak's lab for an interview," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Fine," Meowth said.
They eventually reached Professor Oak's lab and he smiled.
"Sora, Kairi, good to see you both," Professor Oak greeted. "Is she a guest?"
"Professor Oak, I presume? My name is Alexa, we spoke on the phone a few days ago," Alexa said.
"Of course. I was expecting you," Professor Oak said.
"We'll let you work," Sora said.
"Thank you both," Alexa said. She turned to Meowth. "I still have some questions to ask you." She chuckled.
"I'll be sure to remember that," Meowth said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel went with Meowth and it turns out to be a surprise party cooked up by Pinkie Pie to celebrate their victory over the Decepticons and Unicron. It turns out to be taking place in the space station as Sora and Kairi's Pokémon, along with their families. "Surprise."
"You didn't have to do that," Sora said.
"We had to, Sora. Afterall, it was your leadership skills that made this whole thing possible. Not just Optimus," Meowth said.
"He's right, Sora. We all would have been space dust if you haven't the AllSpark back to them," Delia said.
The party was now beginning. Nights started things up by playing their invisible flute. It played such a beautiful melody. Hunter and Bianca were doing a double date with Cinderace and Lopunny.
Once Nights finished plaything their flute, Meowth had an announcement to make as Greedent and Murray were on the stage.
"Ladies and jelly beans, I give you for the first time ever, the space station's first eating contest! On my left is the Greedy Pokémon, Greedent! And on my right, the heavyweight contender, and muscle of the Cooper Gang, we have the hippo with flab of steel! The hippo who punches first, and never bother to ask questions later, I give you, the Murray!" Meowth announced.
"You might as well call off the contest, because there can be none who can challenge the Murray!" Murray proclaimed.
"Okay, boys, the rules are simple. You are to eat whatever food that is presented in front of you. The goal of this contest is to out eat your opponent. There is no time limit, but whoever eats the most, will be the winner! But whoever gets a tummyache first, will lose!" Meowth said. "Bring out the first course!" Machamp and Machoke brought out a mountain of candy of different varieties. "First we have the Dandy Candy Chow Down! We have candy of different flavors and of different holidays; Valentines Day, Halloween, Easter, Christmas. The rules are simple! Eat as much as you can and come out on top! On your marks. Get set. EAT!" Greedent and Murray began to show down on the candy that was presented to them.
"You think they're going to end up with a tummyache after all?" Karen asked.
"I'm more thinking that they'll end up with cavities after wolfing down all that sugary sweetness," Ventus said.
They were down to a single kiss as Greedent quickly took it and ate it.
"And the winner of the first round is Greedent!" Meowth announced.
"I never met such a worthy foe in my life," Murray said.
"And now it's time for the next round!" Meowth announced as Conkeldurr came in with a mountain of cupcakes, many with frosting of many different colors. "We have the Cupcake Bonanza! All these were personally baked and frosted by Pinkie Pie herself. Same as last time, guys! Start chowing down until you can't no more!"
"The Murray will take on any challenge! Bring it on!" Murray said.
"And chow down!" Meowth called out as Greedent and Murray wolfed down the cupcakes from left to right. Frosting was flying as a drop struck Pikachu on the cheek, but Angel licked it off him. One cupcake was left, and Murray quickly took it and swallowed it whole. He gave off a loud burp.
"You could excuse yourself, Murray," Rarity said.
"And the winner is, the Murray!" Meowth announced. "Now it's time for pie!" Pies were being brought in as different pies were being presented to them. "Same as last time! Go for it!" Greedent and Murray kept on eating the pies coming their way. Pie tins were being pilled up. Greedent got to the last pie and swallowed it whole. "And now it's time for the final challenge. We have the Cake It To The Top Finale!" Cakes were being brought in as Greedent and Murray prepared to eat the cakes presented to them. "Now, whoever finishes off the last of the cake before the other does, they'll be declared the winner! Before we begin, let's take a moment to hear from our contenders. You two still good to go?"
"Greedent, Greed, Greedent, Gree," Greedent said.
"The Murray has never known defeat in any eating contest. I plan to walk away as champion!" Murray said.
"Both are not backing down, so let's get this final round underway!" Meowth said. "Eat until you can't anymore or there's no more to eat! Chow down!" Greedent and Murray started to eat the cake that was presented to them. They kept on eating and eating until there was only one cake left. Both glared at each other as they reached right for it. Greedent fired Bullet Seed at the hippo as he got to the cake and swallowed it whole. "And the winner is Greedent!"
"Never before have I met such a worthy adversary. You have my undying respect," Murray said as Greedent unleashed a loud burp.
"You did your best, Murray," Sly said.
"Thanks, Sly. I never thought I was going to be beaten in my own game," Murray said.
"You're still number one in my book, pal," Sly said.
"Mine too, Murray," Bentley said. Murray smiled.
"Thanks, guys. All that eating made me even hungrier," Murray said.
"Even at the face of defeat, Murray is still Murray," Sly said.
A little while later, Sly began writing in the Thievius Raccoonus.
Just after it was business as usual, we get called into a whole new world by a lady calling herself, Cosma. I don't exactly know who this divine being is, but she had a good reason to bring us over. It turns out that Ganondorf and his buddies, the Brotherhood of Darkness.
And if that wasn't enough, but we were also dishing it out with some really bad robots calling themselves Decepticons. The Autobots were being led by Optimus Prime.
He is a leader that the others all reapect greatly. He is selfless, and caring for them all. The Autobots were fighiting the Decepticons on the planet that is called Cybertron.
It lasted for many centuries as one was gaining the edge over the other. Optimus and his fellow Autobots were looking for the AllSpark, which is the core of the planet itself, and the Cons' head honcho, Megatron planned on getting it for himself.
After a recent fight with them, their numbers greatly dwindled, including the ever-scheming Starscream. He was Megatron's right-hand man before getting demoted after losing to Rainbow Dash, and for plotting to overthrow him.
The Cons being defeated was only the good news since Ultra Magnus and his troopers showed up to shave the day, but the bad news was when a destructive force called Unicron coming here. If it weren't for Sonic and the seven Chaos Emeralds. Optimus was even granted the awesome positive power that came from those, which at the same time, can be disastrous while in the wrong hands.
Thanks to the Matrix of Leadership, Optimus was able to destroy Unicron along with what remained of Megatron and his followers. Today, we celebrate our victory since it would have been impossible if weren't Sora and this space station we were teleported in. The Brotherhood of Darkness might be here, but I'm not gonna let those guys ruin this moment. And we are here to make sure nothing bad happens.
Over to Carmelita and Chun-Li, they talk among each other as fellow police officers.
"I hear that you're quite a cop, Chun-Li. Just how many punks did you arrest?" Carmelita asked.
"More than my fare share. Many of those punks thought they were untouchable, especially on who was protecting them," Chun-Li said.
"I had a run-in with the likes of them, too. How dumb they are," Carmelita said.
"Also, how is it that you haven't arrested Sly yet?" Chun-Li asked.
"I rather not talk about that," Carmelita said. She had to admit, Sly wasn't that bad. Sly did rescue her from Clockwerk's gas chamber. She found that odd, because most criminals would have left a cop to die, and she was moved when Sly told her she wasn't his enemy. But she wasn't happy about having Sly cuff her after Clockwerk was destroyed.
Elsewhere, Ryu and Ken were sparing with the Fighting Type Pokémon. They were impressed by how tough they are, especially under Sora and Kairi's training. Nights even raced the Flying Type Pokémon, with Rainbow Dash joining them. Rainbow Dash was the winner in the skies as Nights was impressed by her speed.
Sora looked around and he looked at Earth, as he began to realize the Autobots and Decepticons fought over the planet because of different ideals, but he didn't wanna make that kind of mistake. And not only his world was the target, but several others as well. He made this important decision.
"Everyone," Sora said. Everyone all stopped what they were doing and looked right at him. "I have something important to share with all of you."
"What is it, Sora?" Sally asked.
"I were given this space station for a reason, so I was thinking we could make good use of this," Sora said.
"Good use?" Mario asked.
"What could you be having in mind?" Peach asked.
"I was thinking we should form a new organization to counter the Brotherhood of Darkness. Those guys aren't the only ones who can use that to their advantage. Most of us manage to take them down before, but only because we worked together. And we can do that again. And every organization needs a good name. And I was thinking of, SMASH! As in Supreme Military Agency of Super Heroes. We're practically superheroes anyway," Sora said.
"The Murray approves! SMASH will send fear in the hearts of evildoers everywhere!" Murray said. "I give that two thumbs up!" He holds his thumbs up.
"You would," Shanoa said.
"The Brotherhood of Darkness won't know what hits them!" Guts Man said.
"And it does have a nice ring to it," Time Man said. Pinkie Pie chuckled to that.
"Why do this, Sora?" Riku asked.
"The idea came to me when Unicron set his sights on Earth. But the Earth isn't the only thing at risk, at least not our Earth. Other worlds and dimensions could be at risk, too, so I think we should all work together to bring them down for good; this time for sure," Sora said.
"You can count us in, Sora. We didn't start it, but I'll bet my bombs that we'll finish it!" White Bomber said.
Everyone all started agree with what Sora said.
"Glad you all agree. As of today, SMASH is born," Sora said.
As the party was reaching its climax, Delia had everyone gather around for a picture. Kairi had Seth on her lap as Yuki was on Ventus's. Delia snapped the picture. Sora, Kairi, Karen, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, the Pokémon, and their families came down the space station which they named the SMASH Tower.
As they got home, Delia had this to say.
"Sora, we're going to have a guest join us tonight. I thought I should let you know," Delia said.
"Sure thing, mom," Sora said. Shortly after they got home, a knock is heard. Sora went to answer since he was the closet to the door. "Just a moment." He opened the door to reveal Alexa at his front door. "Alexa?"
"We meet twice in one day," Alexa said.
"Wait, you're staying here?" Sora asked.
"Yeah. I was going to stay at a hotel, but Professor Oak said that it was a waste of money, so I came here," Alexa said.
"Well, come on in. Take a load off," Sora said.
"Sora, who's that at the door?" Delia called from upstairs.
"Our guest just arrived, mom," Sora answered as Delia came down stairs. "Hello there. You must be Alexa. How nice of you to come. My name is Delia Ketchum, I'm Sora's mother."
"A pleasure to meet you," Alexa said. She then realized something when she heard that name before. "Wait, Ketchum? As in Sora Ketchum, the Pokémon League Champion who recently won the Unova Pokémon League?"
"Yes, that's me," Sora said.
"I thought you looked familiar. The name, the face, everything," Alexa said. Sora was rubbing the back of his head as he chuckled nervously. That night at dinner, Kairi and her family joined Sora's family for dinner as Delia prepared highchairs for the babies. "So, Sora. Have you thought about traveling in the Kalos region?"
"Kalos? As in the birthplace of Mega Evolution?" Sora asked.
"The very same, Sora," Terra said. "The Kalos region is rich with history. It is said that the Kalos region itself was once a nation three thousand years ago."
"You know, an adeventure in a new region means loads of new experiences, Sora," Kairi said.
"I had a feeling you'd say that, Kairi," Mirei said. "After everything that's happened recently, a new adventure can do you some good."
"Also, the Kalos region has a Pokémon League of its own. In fact, my little sister is a Gym Leader down there," Alexa said. Sora thought for a moment to let it sink all in before he considered it.
"I guess another journey in another region could do us some good. We should give it a shot," Sora said.
"Can I go, too?" Ventus asked.
"Ven!" Aqua said.
"Only if your parents approves, Ven," Sora said.
"I agree with Sora, Ven," Karen said.
"We know he's in good hands," Danny said.
"And, Ven, you should exactly what Sora and Kairi tells you," Cattleya added.
"I will," Ventus said.
"Okay, it's settled. We'll be heading off to the Kalos region," Sora said.
After dinner, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua made this announcement to the rest of SMASH.
"You're heading in the Kalos region?" Red asked.
"Yeah. We are," Sora said.
"And after we just formed our new organization?" Earthworm Jim said.
"We're not disbanding it," Kairi assured.
"The Kanto region will be in good hands with you guys looking after things. And we can keep in touch with each other," Sora said.
"Also, the Brotherhood of Darkness and Team Shadow might be down there as well," Karen said.
"We understand," Link said. "And you're right. We can keep an eye on things here."
"Also we can come and see you anytime," Spyro said.
"So, be ready for a visit from us anytime," Agent 9 said.
With that said, the members of SMASH gave their friends some full support. On the next morning, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon were preparing for the trip to the Kalos region. Sora wore a red and black jacket with blue pants while Kairi wore a pink jacket with a white shirt, exposing her midriff. They all gathered at the airport. Seth and Yuki were saddened to see their older siblings take off, but they assured them they'll be back.
"Take care of each other out there," Yuta said.
"We will," Kairi said.
"And we'll be sure to bring back some souvenirs if we can," Karen said.
With that said, they said goodbye to their families and boarded the plane. The plane bound for Lumiose City. Off they went to a new adventure, and a new chapter in their lives.
