Episode 525: Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin
We open up with a beautiful morning as a Fletchling flew in the kitchen of a house. There, a woman is cutting some lettuce. She has blue eyes and a brown hair, with a yellow hairpin. She wore a simple black t-shirt, a tracksuit, whose sleeves have been tied in a knot and some orange shoes. She also has a pink lipstick on."Flecthling, wake up Serena for me, won't you?" The woman asked, bringing the cut up lettuce to the sink. "Of course, I already tried once, but as usual, once is never."
Fletchling obliged her by flying into upstairs and right through the door. The tiny robin Pokémon flew right on the sleeping girl with honey blonde hair, wearing a pink bow. Fletchling then pecked her on the head, waking her up.
"AAAAAHHHHHH!" The girl screamed. Hearing the scream from her room, she smiled, knowing her Fletchling did what she asked it to do. A Rhyhorn hears the sound coming from the window. It was startled by the sound.
"Good, looks like we're all ready," the woman said.
She fell right out of her bed, revealing her pink pajamas. She sat up with a sour expression.
"I told you a million times not to wake me up like that, Fletchling!" The girl said. Fletchling then chirped at her. Serena wasn't amused, and she attempted to nab the tiny robin Pokémon, but she missed. Fletchling landed right on her head.
"Serena, it's time for morning training!" The woman called from downstairs.
"Right!" Serena answered. "Not again." She opened up her curtains and her windows. She eyes Rhyhorn in the front yard. "Morning, Rhyhorn!"
"Rhy!" Rhyhorn replied. She stretched her arms.
"Hope today will be interesting," Serena said as Fletchling flew right off her head.
She didn't know how right she was when an airplane, coming from the Kanto region and right into the Kalos region was flying in.
Inside the plane, Sora and Kairi sat next to each other and slept head to head. The Digimon were in the cargo area since they didn't want to draw too much attention to themselves, but they were fed the food served to them. The plane makes a landing as Karen poked them both.
"Wake up, we're here," Karen said. Sora and Kairi woke up as Sora stretched his arms. Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon boarded off the plane.
"We there yet?" Veemon asked.
"Did you have to wake me up? I was dreaming of eating the world's largest cupcake. Pinkie Pie and Murray were there," Armadillomon said.
"Of course, you would dream about food," Hawkmon said.
"I don't think I would want to know how it'll turn out if you challenged Murray in that contest, Armadillomon," Agumon said.
"You guys have a pleasant trip in there?" Sora asked.
"Would have been easy if I Digivolved and flew here," Biyomon said.
"You would have ran out of energy before you would be halfway there," Tentomon said.
"Same thing if I swam on the way here," Gomamon said.
"Is this the Kalos region?" Agumon asked.
"It sure is, guys. Take it all in," Terra said.
"Pika," Thor said.
"It must be nice here," Aqua said.
"You'll find that it is," Alexa said. "There's beauty everywhere you look in Kalos."
"I see what you mean. I love the sunlight here," Palmon said, taking it all in. A flock of Spritzee flew all around.
"Look! Spritzee!" Ventus said.
"They look really happy," Meowth said.
On top of the roof of the airport, Team Shadow peons are watching them close.
"They're here," the first Team Shadow peon said.
"We should jump them," the second Team Shadow peon said.
"No. We were only told to observe and then report. And that's what we are going to do," the first Team Shadow peon said.
"Agreed. We will be in a losing fight against those Digimon; especially when they change," the third Team Shadow peon said.
The Team Shadow peons took their leave before anyone could see them.
"What's the first thing we do?" Kairi asked.
"We could check the place out," Sora suggested.
"That's a great idea, Sora. You and your friends should go see the Prism Tower. It's the tallest tower in the city," Alexa said.
"Well, that shouldn't be too hard to find," Gabumon said.
"And inside the tower, the Lumiose City Gym is right inside if you're interested. And the Gym Leader here specializes with Electric Type Pokémon," Alexa said.
"Electric Types, huh? I guess that means we could have a go," Sora said, taking out his Pokémon Box. "Since the Gym uses Electric Types, that means Ground Types all the way." He breathed as he was making up his mind. He selected Quagsire, Sandaconda, Rhydon, Camerupt, and Donphan. "There." With that settled, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon made their way to Prism Tower after serperating from Alexa for a while. They walked pass two young people along the way.
One is a short and skinny young boy with fair skin, gray eyes, and messy medium-length bright yellow hair with a lightning-bolt shaped tuft on top. Outfit-wise, he wore clothes that make him resemble a stereotypical geek or nerd. His outfit consisted of large round glasses which obscure his eyes, black shoes with white soles, and a yellow-collared skin-tight blue jumpsuit with yellow stripes on the knees and bottom cuffs. Additionally, He also sports a backpack-like cybernetic contraption on his back.
The other is a small and slender young girl with shiny golden-blonde hair tied in a side ponytail with an orange band, and sky blue eyes. She wears a brown short-sleeved top with a soft black bow on the neckline, knee-length black compression shorts covered by a puffy white skirt resembling a cloud, pink colored shoes and a yellow shoulder bag.
Inside the Gym, it looked like what you would see in a science fiction laboratory.
"This is so exciting! The first Gym battle since Sunyshore City for us," Patamon said.
"Better let them know we're here," Sora said. "Hello, is anybody home?" Sora asked. The screen above them acivates.
"Welcome to the Lumiose City Gym," the Gym's AI greeted.
"My name is Sora, and I came from Pallet Town in the Kanto region. I came to challenge the Gym Leader to a battle," Sora said.
"How many Gym Badges do you have?" The AI asked.
"Um, none. We just got here," Sora said nervously.
"Insufficient challenge. In order to challenge the Lumiose City Gym, you must win at least four Gym Badges!" The AI said. Electrodes comes out of the wall and zapped the group. "Please leave immediately." The trap door opened right underneath them as they all fell. They slide out of the tower as the boy and girl from earlier saw them.
"Oh no! We gotta help those people!" The boy said.
"I got the Pokémon!" The girl said. The boy took off his backpack and threw it. It sends a huge airbag out as Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Meowth, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair and the Digimon land right on it. "I got you, Pikachu and Eevee!" She catches them both.
"Are you okay?" The boy asked.
"Yeah. We're lucky you two were around. Thanks for the save," Sora said.
"Look! A Pikachu and an Eevee! They're so cute!" The girl nuzzled them both as Pikachu gave a shock to her, along with Angel. The girl fell as Pikachu and Angel got out of her grip.
"Sorry, Angel." - Pikachu subtitle.
"It's not your fault, Pikachu. I forgive you." - Angel subtitle.
"Bonnie, you okay?" The boy asked. She sat up, laughing. "Of course!" The boy sighed.
"I'm sorry about my sister," the boy apologized.
"It's no big deal," Sora said. The boy turned to his sister with a stern look.
"You apologize, too," the boy said.
"I just wanted to give Pikachu and Eevee a hug because they're so cute!" Bonnie pouted with her cheeks puffing up.
"But, did Pikachu or Eevee like it?" The boy asked. Bonnie knew he was right and looked down at the ground.
"I'm sorry, Pikachu, Eevee," Bonnie apologized.
"It's okay. They were just surprised, that's all," Sora said.
"He's right. He wouldn't do that on purpose," Kairi said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"Besides, we should be grateful to you. And we are," Sora said. Bonnie beamed.
"You're so very welcome," Bonnie said. "And your other Pikachu are cute. And so is this Meowth."
"Aw, you're making me blush," Meowth said. Bonnie jumped when Meowth spoke.
"A talking Meowth?!" Bonnie exclaimed.
"Amazing, a Meowth that can speak like a person," the boy said, adjusting his glasses.
"Trust me, it's less weirder when you're used to it," Sora said. "But, what's up with that Gym?"
"I never knew there was a Gym like that," Aqua said.
"You got kicked out, right?" The boy asked.
"Right, and after coming all this way," Sora said.
"The Gym Leader here is super duper strong. Did they ask you how many you have?" Bonnie asked.
"Yeah, and when Sora told them he had none, they just booted us out after we got zapped!" Ventus said. Bonnie and her brother looked right at him.
"You don't have any Badges?" Bonnie asked.
"We just got here ourselves, and Sora has put together a team to take him," Terra said.
"We got here just today," Sora added.
"Pardon me, but where did you come from?" The boy asked.
"I came from Nuvema Town in the Unova region," Karen said.
"Three of us came from Porta Vista. It's a beach town in the Kanto region," Aqua said.
"And two of us came from Pallet Town also in Kanto. My name's Sora, and this is my girlfriend Kairi, my cousin Ventus, and my twin sister Karen," Sora introduced.
"Hello," Kairi greeted. "This Eevee is Angel."
"Eevee," Angel said.
"This is Blossom," Karen introduced.
"You can call me Ven. And this Pikachu is Sparky," Ventus said.
"Pika!" Sparky said.
"I'm Terra, and this is Thor," Terra introduced.
"Chu," Thor said.
"My name's Aqua, and this is Eclair," Aqua introduced.
"Pika," Eclair said.
"I'm Agumon."
"I'm Gabumon."
"My name's Biyomon."
"I'm Tentomon."
"I'm Palmon."
"You can call me Gomamon. Everybody does."
"I'm Patamon."
"I'm Gatomon."
"The name's Veemon."
"I'm Wormmon."
"My name is Hawkmon."
"My name's Armadillomon."
"My name's Clemont. And this is my little sister Bonnie," Clemont said.
"Nice to meet you," Bonnie said.
"And since these twleve has 'mon' at the end of their name's, does that mean they're Digimon?" Clemont asked.
"Yeah, that's right," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Wow, I never thought they were real until now," Clemont said.
"They're also cute," Bonnie said.
"Thanks," Tentomon said.
"Do have some other Pokémon with you, Sora? May I see them?" Bonnie asked.
"Bonnie, don't be rude," Clemont said.
"It's okay, Clemont. She can see them if she wants," Sora said, taking out his Pokéballs. He let out Quagsire, Sandaconda, Rhydon, Camerupt, and Donphan. "And here they are."
"A Quagsire, a Sandaconda, a Rhydon, a Donphan, and a Camerupt. All Ground Types. I never seen a Sandaconda before. Clemont said.
"Sora caught Sandaconda when he was a Silicorbra in the Galar region," Ventus said.
"Wow," Bonnie said. She was so happy to see such Pokémon in front of her.
"You look like you've been taking good care of them," Clemont said.
"Thanks," Sora said.
Bonnie laughed as she pets Donphan. The armor Pokémon found the petting to his liking. Sparky went up to Bonnie.
"Pika," Sparky said.
"You know, I can show you how to properly pet Pikachu without getting electrocuted," Ventus offered.
"Yeah? How?" Bonnie asked. Ventus pets Sparky the way he liked it. "Wanna give it a try?"
"Really?" Bonnie asked. Ventus nodded as Bonnie did the same thing as Ventus. "It worked."
"Sparky seems to like you," Ventus said.
"I like you, too, Sparky," Bonnie said. "You're really cute." She turned to Ventus. "And you're cute, too." Ventus started to blush. He looked right at Bonnie, and he seems to be having a crush on her.
Unknown to anyone, a Froakie was watching the group closely. It was looking right at Sora.
Sora called back his Pokémon.
"Should have realized it would be too easy to get in. Then again, it would have been too soon," Sora said.
"Sora, if you want to have a battle, I can take you up on the challenege," Clemont said. Sora smiled.
"I could use the practice," Sora said. He looked at his partner. "You ready to stretch your legs, buddy?"
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"What I thought," Sora said.
"Let's make it one-on-one," Clemont said.
"Sure thing. I'm picking Pikachu," Sora said.
"Then, I'll be sending out," Clemont paused as he took out a Pokéball and threw it, "Helioptile!" The Pokéball opened as his Helioptile came on out, extending its frills.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt right at the lizard-like Pokémon.
"Use Dig!" Clemont ordered. Helioptile dug in the ground to avoid Thunderbolt.
"Keep your eyes opened, Pikachu. Helioptile can come out at any moment!" Sora said.
Pikachu looked around for any signs of Helioptile, but it came out from behind. Helioptile struck Pikachu on the back.
"Use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu rammed into Helioptile, and smacked him hard.
"Helioptile! Use Mud-Slap!" Clemont ordered. Helioptile fires Mud-Slap at Pikachu.
"Dodge it, Pikachu!" Sora called out. Pikachu manages to dodge the attack. Helioptile kept firing Mud-Slap at the mouse Pokémon. He kept on running as a Fletchling was pecking at the ground. The attacks startled the tiny robin Pokémon and flew in a fit of anger. "A Fletchling!"
"Oops," Clemont sheepishly said. The Fletchling then went and attacked the Electric Type Pokémon.
"Look out!" Meowth yelped.
Fletchling flew right at Pikachu and Helioptile with a fit of rage.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt right at Fletchling, dealing some heavy damage, but it didn't go down without a fight.
"Here he comes again," Kairi said.
"Pikachu! Use Electro Web!" Sora ordered. Pikachu forms Electro Web and sends it right at Fletchling. The tiny robin Pokémon gets caught in the web. Fletchling took some heavy damage from the web attack. "Now use Quick Attack!" Pikachu dashed right at Fletchling and lands a hit onto him. Fletchling was now down as Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it right at Fletchling. Fletchling flowed inside the Pokéball and it wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Fletchling with him. He chose to keep Fletchling in exchange for Rhydon. "Been here for less than a day, and I already made my first catch in Kalos."
"And what a catch," Ventus said.
"Pika, Pika," Sparky said.
"Just so you know, Fletchling are very common in Kalos," Clemont said.
"I figured as much," Sora said. Sora sent the rest of his Ground Types and kept Fletchling with him. "We can continue our battle if you want, Clemont."
"I would like to, but my Helioptile is exhausted. And I only had him for a couple of days," Clemont said. "But, I was very impressed by your battling skills. By battling you, I could see the connection you have with your Pikachu and those other Pokémon."
"Thanks, Clemont. Your Helioptile is pretty awesome, too. I can tell just by looking at him," Sora said with a compliment.
Froakie kept on watching Sora as he saw someone coming right towards the battlefield and threw a Pokéball, unleashing a Corviknight. It was a Team Shadow peon who had just learned of Sora's presence in the Kalos region.
"Corviknight! Use Drill Peck!" The Team Shadow peon ordered. The Corviknight attacked with Drill Peck. The Digimon saw the Team Shadow peon.
"Look out!" Agumon shouted. They all ducked their heads. "Look over there!" They all saw him.
"Team Shadow!" Sora exclaimed in shock.
"We figured you show your spiky head here sooner or later," the Team Shadow peon said.
"You know that guy?" Bonnie asked.
"Team Shadow are a bunch of bad guys we dealt with back in the Unova region," Ventus said.
"The last time we dealt with them is when they were using the Reveal Glass on Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landurus," Terra said.
"Knew we would have to deal them sooner or later," Aqua said.
"What do you want?" Sora asked.
"To get you out of the way. And I'm going to succeed where Valiant has failed," the Team Shadow peon said.
"Don't even mention that guy's name to me, not after what he did to my mom! And if any of you mess with my family, you better believe I'll be coming after you!" Sora said.
"Is that supposed to mean something? I don't think so. And it'll be us who'll be coming after you," the Team Shadow peon said.
"Who's Valiant?" Clemont asked.
"Long story," Kairi said.
"Enough talk! It's time to put an end to your meddling for good! Corviknight! Steel Wing again!" The Team Shadow peon ordered.
"Get ready, Pikachu!" Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt right at the raven Pokémon.
"Corviknight! Fly!" The Team Shadow peon ordered. The Corviknight flew up in the air and came down at the mouse Pokémon.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu tried to dodge, but Corviknight came too fast for Pikachu to dodge. Corviknight lands a successful hit. "Pikachu!"
"Drill Peck!" The Team Shadow peon ordered. Corviknight came right at Pikachu with another Drill Peck.
"Helioptile! Use Thunder Shock!" Clemont ordered. Helioptile fired Thunder Shock at Corviknight, dealing some damage. It wasn't too much damage. The Team Shadow peon laughed.
"Is that little pipsqueak supposed to scare me? I'm not feeling scared," the Team Shadow peon laughed some more.
"Don't you laugh at my big brother, you bully!" Bonnie countered.
"And what are you going to do if I don't?" The Team Shadow peon taunted.
"This!" Kairi said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Vulpix!" Her Vulpix came right out. "Use Flamethrower!" Vulpix unleashed Flamethrower right at the raven Pokémon, dealing some more damage. He growled in frustration.
"You damn brat!" The Team Shadow peon growled.
"Don't talk that way to my girlfriend!" Sora said. "Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt right at Corviknight, but it dodged by flying up in the air.
"Nice try, but not good enough!" The Team Shadow peon taunted. "Use Steel Wing now!" Corviknight started to fly right at the group when Froakie came and hurled a Water Pulse right at Corviknight, dealing some damage.
"A Froakie?" Sora asked.
"Isn't Froakie the Water Starter here in Kalos?" Ventus asked.
"Yes it is, Ven," Clemont said.
"Where is his trainer?" Kairi asked.
Froakie hopped forward.
"Froakie, Froakie, Froakie, Froakie, Fro, Froakie, Froakie," Froakie said.
"What's Froakie saying, Meowth?" Gatomon asked.
"Froakie's saying that guy's nothing more than a coward having to come along to kick an opponent when they're down," Meowth translated.
"Corviknight, get rid of that little runt! Use Drill Peck!" The Team Shadow peon ordered. The raven Pokémon came at the bubble frog Pokémon with Drill Peck. Froakie dodges and fires Bubble in its face. "Use Steel Wing!" Corviknight flew right at Froakie and gave him several hits with his wings. Corviknight grabbed Froakie in its talons.
"Froakie!" Sora called out.
"Let him go!" Agumon shouted. "Pepper Breath!" Agumon fired a fireball at Corviknight.
"Agumon, stop! You'll hit Froakie!" Karen said.
"Pikachu!" Blossom said.
"She's right. We can't risk it," Veemon said.
Corviknight then dropped Froakie down to the ground. Sora ran to catch Froakie. He manages to catch the bubble frog Pokémon in his arms.
"I got you, Froakie," Sora said. Froakie opened his eyes and looked right at Sora in the eyes. "You're okay." He sets Froakie down. "Get some rest. You battled enough." Froakie shook his head and hopped forward. "Froakie, stop!" Froakie then grabbed his frubbles and hurled them right at Corviknight right in the eyes.
"Wait! Watch where you're flying!" The Team Shadow peon shouted. It was too late, because Corviknight flew right into its trainer.
"What did Froakie just throw at Corviknight?" Biyomon asked.
"Froakie's frubbles. Froakie was using them to blind that Corviknight, making it hard for it to see," Clemont said.
"How about we wrap this up?" Sora asked.
"I couldn't agree more," Clemont said. Bonnie stepped forward.
"Don't forget about me!" Bonnie said.
"Count us all in!" Ventus said.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora, Karen, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua ordered.
"Use Thunder Shock!" Clemont ordered.
"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered.
All of the Pikachu, Angel, and Helioptile unleashed their attacks as Froakie pitched in with Water Pulse. They landed their attacks on the Team Shadow peon and his Corviknight. He called back his Corviknight and growled in anger.
"You little punks got lucky for right now, but don't count us out just yet. As long as their is light, there is Team Shadow!" The Team Shadow peon said as he took out a smoke bomb and thre it down on the ground. The smoked cleared and he was gone.
"He's gone!" Agumon said. "We should go after him!"
"We should let him go, Agumon. He's not worth it," Sora said. Froakie panted from using his energy from that last attack. Sora was amazed by Froakie and his strength. And he was also amazed by brave and resourceful he is. Sora went over to Froakie as he fell over. "Froakie!" Sora ran towards him. He picked the bubble frog up in his arms. "Hang on, Froakie. You're going to be okay."
"Where's the nearest Pokémon Center?" Kairi asked.
"The nearest Pokémon Center is too far from here," Clemont said.
"But the professor's lab is close by," Bonnie said.
"Professor?" Sora asked.
"Yes, Professor Sycamore. His lab is closer to us. And he'll be able to help Froakie get better," Clemont said.
"And that's where we're going to head to," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, and Eclair are joined by Clemont and his younger sister Bonnie as they started to make their way for Professor Sycamore's lab to help heal Froakie after an unexpected encounter with Team Shadow. Things have gotten pretty rocky just after making their first trip to Kalos, but it sure was a memorable one. And we shall see what memorable adventures or misadventures awaits Sora his friends along the way. Stay tuned.
Before we close here, I would like to take this moment to inform you that Sora WILL NOT be releasing Grenina nor Goodra like Ash did in the anime. And second, I plan on giving Sora's Greninja Sora's Drive form abilities like in Kingdom Hearts 2. They'll be Valor, Wisdom, Limit, Master, and Final.
