Episode 526: Lumiose Pursuit
As soon as the Team Shadow peon returned to their base in Kalos, the leading peon was angered by both his failure, and his disobedience."You idiot! I told you to avoid contact with the enemy! And what do you do? The exact opposite of what I told you!" The leading peon scolded.
"I really don't know what the big deal is? We wanna make ourselves known, don't we?" The Team Shadow peon asked.
"Yes, but it's too soon! And now he'll be on higher alert because of you!" The leading peon said. He made contact with Team Shadow HQ.
"Kalos Team to home-base, we have completed constructing a base of operations here in Kalos as instructed, but we have a slight problem," the leading peon reported.
"What's the problem?" Exdeath asked.
"One of our own has made contact with Sora Ketchum and his friends; even after I gave them instructions to wait for further orders," the leading peon reported.
"He is in your sector?" Exdeath asked.
"Yes, sir. He and his friends are in Lumiose City as we speak. I'm fearing that our plan has failed before we began," the leading peon said. "As a precaution, we might have to abandon the mission."
"No. It makes no difference that he knows. Proceed as planned," Exdeath said.
"Yes, sir," the leading peon said. He broke contact with Team Shadow HQ.
Exdeath made his way to Mateus. He is having a meeting with the inter dimensional villains.
"Master Mateus, excuse the interruption. I have received word that Sora Ketchum and his friends have made their in the Kalos region. They're currently in Lumiose City as we speak," Exdeath reported.
"I see," Mateus said. "I thank you for bringing this to my attention," Mateus said. Exdeath took his leave as he chuckled.
"He's in Kalos. We should deal with him right now," Wart said.
"No. If we learned anything from Eggman's failure, it's that we shouldn't ask too rashly. Those Autobots helping him out is a firm reminder," Mateus said.
"I agree. We were acted too eagerly the last time. That's the one mistake we're trying to avoid," Ganondorf said.
"So, we just sit around and do nothing?" Risky Boots asked.
"For now, yes. Even with the Autobots gone, and the Decepticons destroyed, we cannot afford to make careless mistakes," Mateus said.
"Sounds boring," Dr. Nefarious said.
"Perhaps, but necessary," Mateus said.
Meanwhile, back at Vaniville Town, Serna is wearing a pink jumpsuit. She tried to hold on as she's riding on the back of her mother's Rhyhorn. The Rhyhorn tried to buck her off.
"Close your mouth! You don't want to bite your tongue! Remember, you've got to think like a Rhyhorn!" Serena's mother called out.
"Easy for you to say!" Serena shouted.
"I've competed in Rhyhorn races around the world, you can, too! Just stay with it! Be one with Rhyhorn!" Serena's mother cheered on. Serena kept holding on until the rhino-like Pokémon bucked her off like a bronco. She skids on the dirt, faced down. "Or not." She gets her face off the ground.
"Mom! I hate this!" Serena shouted, not caring who heard her.
Meanwhile in Littleroot Town, a dark-tanned boy, with dark-green hair and blue eyes walks down the streets. He wore a white shirt with an orange tie, a dark green vest with yellow buttons and a pocket on the left side of the chest, brown short pants with large pockets, black underjeans and green shoes.
"Today is the day. The day I get my very first Pokémon from Professor Birch," the boy said. He arrived to the lab as Professor Birch opened the door.
"Oh, sorry! May I help you with something?" Professor Birch asked.
"Yes, my name's Sawyer, and I came here to pick up my very first Pokémon from you," Sawyer said.
"Oh, Sawyer. That's right. I completely forgot you were coming today. And I take it that you're here to choose your first Pokémon, right?" Professor Birch asked.
"Yes, sir. And I already know which one I want," Sawyer said. Professor Birch led Sawyer to the lab as a Treecko, a Torchic, and a Mudkip are presented to him.
"So which one of these Pokémon have you decided on? Will it be Treecko, a Grass Type Pokémon, Torchic, a Fire Type Pokémon, or Mudkip, a Water Type Pokémon?" Professor Birch asked.
Sawyer took one look at Treecko, and he has made up his mind.
"I choose Treecko," Sawyer said.
"Ah, so you're interested in Treecko. I think that is an excellent choice, my boy," Professor Birch said. "May I ask what made you decide so quickly?"
"Let's just say that there was a trainer who has inspired me greatly, and I owe this choice to him," Sawyer said.
It turns out that the trainer he was talking about was Sora. He was watching on TV when he battled Haruhi and Kate in the Hoenn Pokémon League using his Sceptile; and again in the Sinnoh Pokémon League against Tidus. It was right there that the Pokémon of his choice is a Treecko in order to be just like Sora.
"I know you two will be a great team," Professor Birch said. Sawyer smiled as he agreed as he looked at his new Treecko.
"Come on, Treecko. Let's you and I be the best team we can be!" Sawyer said.
"Treecko!" Treecko agreed.
With that said, the team of Sawyer and Treecko was born. Sawyer made it his goal to be the greatest Pokémon trainer the world has ever known, and he hopes to surpass even Sora.
Back in Lumiose City, Sora is still carrying the injured Froakie in his arms.
"This way!" Bonnie said.
"Don't worry, Froakie. You're going to be okay," Sora said.
"Where's Clemont?" Kairi asked. They all turned to see Clemont was panting heavily.
"Clemont, hurry up!" Bonnie said.
"You go on ahead. I'll catch up!" Clemont panted.
"My big brother is so slow!" Bonnie said, puffing up her cheeks.
"We'll meet you there," Sora said.
The rest of the group raced their way to Professor Sycamore's lab.
"How much further are we to the lab, Bonnie?" Sora asked.
"We made it just in the knick of time," Kairi said.
"Good thing, too," Agumon said.
Inside the lab, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon all entered the lab with Froakie in arms.
"Hello, Professor Sycamore! Are you coming?" Sora called out.
A yawn is heard when came in is a middle-aged man, with black, curly hair, bluish eyes and some facial hair under his ears. He wore a blue shirt, black trousers with a yellow belt (which has the buckle shaped like a circle), and also wore orange socks and brown trainers with gray stripes. He also wore a brown watch on his left arm and wore a white lab coat.
"I'm coming," the man answered. He noticed the Froakie in Sora's arms. "Huh?"
"Are you Professor Sycamore?" Sora asked.
"Frokie, no!" Professor Sycamore exclaimed.
"You know this Froakie, professor?" Kairi asked.
"Yes, I sure do," Professor Sycamore said. "Sophie, come quick!" He takes Froakie from his arms. "We have been in recent contact with your trainer." Froakie didn't seem to care and shuts his eyes. A woman came running in. She has blue hair, and green eyes under a pair of glasses. She a light blue shirt and gray skirt. She also wore black shoes. He hands Froakie to her. "Froakie needs help."
"Right," Sophie said, taking in her arms.
"Thank you, professor," Sora said.
"We were worried about Froakie, too," Terra said.
"Is Froakie's trainer on the way now?" Ventus asked.
"I'm afraid not. He contacted us earlier and told us he wanted to give up Froakie," Professor Sycamore answered.
"Give up Froakie?" Aqua asked.
"Why would he do that?" Aqua asked.
Before he could answer, Clemont came in, panting. He walked over to the group and he fell on his knees.
"I made it," Clemont said.
"You're so slow," Bonnie said.
"How's Froakie?" Clemont asked.
Sophie has brought Froakie to the ER to be healed.
"Poor Froakie," Kairi said.
"You have nothing to worry about. Froakie is in the best of care. Sophie is the best at what she does," Professor Sycamore said.
"That's good to know," Sora said.
The professor leads the group to a different room.
"Now, I'm Professor Sycamore, and I'm a Pokémon researcher working here in the Kalos region," Professor Sycamore said.
"Nice to meet you, professor. My name's Sora. This is my twin sister Karen, my cousin Ventus, and my girlfriend Kairi," Sora said, putting his arm around Kairi's shoulder.
"This is Angel," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"This is Blossom," Karen introduced.
"Pika," Blossom said.
"This is Sparky," Ventus said.
"Pika, Pika," Sparky said.
"My name's Bonnie, and this is my big brother Clemont," Bonnie introduced.
"It's a real honor to meet you, Professor Sycamore," Clemont said.
"And these are the Digimon," Sora introduced. "Agumon, Gabumon, Veemon, Wormmon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, Patamon, and Gatomon."
"And I'm Meowth," Meowth finished. Professor Sycamore was amazed to hear Meowth talk for the first time.
"Amazing! A talking Meowth! How is this possible?" Professor Sycamore asked.
"Well, wisdom tends to come out my mouth," Meowth said.
"And not counting on the water not conducting electricity bit?" Sora asked. Meowth gulped as he was reminded of that.
"Must you bring that up, Sora?" Meowth asked.
"We can talk, too, but we were always been able to talk," Agumon said.
"I see. All the same, it's nice to meet you all. I do appreciate you saving Froakie," Professor Sycamore said.
"You got that backwards, professor. Froakie actually saved us. But, what's the deal with Froakie's trainer?" Sora asked.
"Did something happen to make trainers give Froakie up?" Kairi asked.
"It's one of my numerous responsibilities to present new Pokémon to beginning trainers, but Froakie is a bit of a special case," Professor Sycamore explained.
"What do you mean special case?" Gabumon asked.
"Froakie has been known to do things his own way. He's always refusing to obey his trainer's orders, and does whatever he wanted. In fact, it's been a real problem for his previous trainers before his most recent one," Professor Sycamore explained.
"You mean, this happened before?" Karen asked.
"Yes. Froakie had several trainers before, but Froakie didn't seem to like his new trainers at all. There were times either Froakie just ran away, or trainers just returns Froakie to my lab," Professor Sycamore explained. "But, I'm sure acts like that for some reason."
"Froakie must have had a hard life," Bonnie said.
"Seems like it to me. I had a hard life, too, but even I didn't act like that," Meowth said.
"I have been hearing rumors of a Froakie matching this Froakie's description, but I thought it was ludicrous, so I never believed it," Clemont said.
"Gar, Garchomp!" A Garchomp said. The group all turned to see a female Garchomp at the ward, and she was filled with concern for Froakie. With her is a young woman with maroon hair.
"Hey, a Garchomp!" Ventus said.
"Garchomp lives here in the lab. She's been a mother figure to Froakie in his whole life," Professor Sycamore explained.
"That explains why she's worried about Froakie," Kairi said. The group walked up to the mach Pokémon.
"Froakie's gonna be fine, Garchomp. You can thank these people here," Professor Sycamore said. Garchomp turned to the group.
"Froakie did a brave thing, helping us out," Sora said. "I promise Froakie's going to be fine." He pets her, letting her know he means it. Garchomp could sense the kindness in Sora's words.
"May I pet Garchomp, too? I never seen a real Garchomp before!" Bonnie said. Professor Sycamore chuckled.
"I think Garchomp would like that very much," Professor Sycamore said, picking Bonnie up and allowed her to pet the mach Pokémon.
"Oh, you're so cute! Good Pokémon!" Bonnie cooed. Kairi smiled as Ventus was blushing violently. Garchomp was finding the petting to her liking.
"I have other Pokémon living here if you wanna see them," Professor Sycamore said.
"Really? I wanna see them now!" Bonnie said.
"I think I can arrange that," Professor Sycamore said. "Cosette, look after Garchomp, won't you?"
"Of course," Corsette said.
The rest of the group followed the Pokémon professor as Sora and Pikachu stayed behind. Clemont turned around and looked at Sora.
"Aren't you coming, Sora?" Clemont asked.
"You guys go ahead, I'll catch up," Sora said.
"Oh, okay," Clemont said. He took off with them. Sora and Pikachu went inside as Sophie was doing some checking. Sora walked up to Froakie.
"Hey, Froakie. I wanted to thank you for what you did. You're a real brave little guy. You weren't gonna give up when you fought that Corviknight. I'll have to be grateful for your help. Any Pokémon who would do anything to help out another Pokémon or a person is always welcome as part of the team," Sora said. Froakie opened his eyes and he placed his hand on the glass. Sora did the same thing. Froakie felt a strong connection with Sora. He and Pikachu took their leave of Froakie just so they can allow him to rest.
Meanwhile up in the SMASH Tower, Alia, Iris, Layer, and Palette took their positions as navigators like they did for the Maverick Hunters.
"All's quiet in Kanto. The rest of you have any luck?" Alia asked.
"Quiet in Johto," Layer said.
"Not a peep in Sinnoh," Pallete said.
"Nothing in Alola," Iris said. Alia sighed.
"I should have guessed it'll be too easy to spot a potential threat so soon after the Decepticons left," Alia said.
"I know what you mean. I was certain a bad guy would show up sooner or later," Pallete said.
And she didn't know how right she was as a dimensional rift opens up. Out came a large green blimp-like structure. Leading the operation is a girl that is wearing a pink shirt with a mark that looks like a smiley face skull with stiches on the lips, a small blue jacket, black pantyhose, pink gloves, pink heeled shoes, two earrings with the same mark, and a headband. Additionally, she has a gray steel plate in the crotch region of her pantyhose. Inside are several small robots. They all have blue bodies and yellow heads.
"You sure this is the right place, he's in? You better not be wrong this time, or else I'll use as target practice!" The girl threatened.
"We made sure it's the right world, miss Tron," one of the little robots assured.
"I hope so for your sake! Volnutt owes me that date," Tron said in a loving tone.
It was obvious that she has a thing for him.
"She's still has it bad for him," one of the little robots whispered.
"You know it," another one of the little robots whispered back.
"Now, full speed ahead, Servbots! Find Mega Man Volnutt at any costs!" Tron ordered.
"Aye, aye, ma'am!" The Servebots all said. They began to move the airship through the Kanto skies as a flock of Pidgey flew right by them.
Aboard the SMASH Tower, a small alarm goes off.
"Looks like we got something," Pallete said.
"Sora was right to leave us to watch over Kanto," Layer said. Alia made contact with the members of SMASH.
"Attention, members of SMASH. We detected some sort of aircraft. It's hovering somewhere around Cinnabar Island!" Alia said.
Down below, Tails had brought over the Tornado and he answered the communications from Alia.
"Roger that. The Tornado could use a test flight," Tails said. He activates the bi-planes engines and took off into the air. The two tailed fox found the large airship and he whistled. "It's huge."
Aboard the aircraft, they detected the plane on radar.
"Miss Tron, something is flying right toward us!" One of the Servebots reported.
"It's gotta be those birds flying by again. Just ignore them and move on," Tron said. She saw the Tornado flying at them. "What the? What is that thing?"
"I think it's called an airplane," the first Servebot said.
"Take it down!" Tron ordered. The aircraft's guns aims at the plane and open fires at the plane. Tails flew the plane to avoid the gunfire.
"Tails here! I'm going to need help on that thing!" Tails said.
Aboard the SMASH Tower.
"We'll send out anyone available!" Iris said. She made contact with other members. "Tails needs help." It was E-123 Omega who intercepted the transmission.
"Affirmative! Engaging the enemy!" E-123 Omega said. He flew right right at the aircraft and opened fire on it.
"Damage report!" Tron exclaimed.
"Sever damage on the right side," a Servebot replied. E-123 Omega then blasted inside the aircraft and made his way to the command center.
"Hostile identity: no recognition. Objective: capture hostile," Omega computed.
"Hold on, you!" Tron demanded as Omega grabbed her. He blasted a window as Omega flew out with his captor. Several Servebots went out flying.
"Wee!" The Servebots all said. They went falling into the ocean.
"He splashed me!" One of the Servebots said.
"Splash him back!" Another Servebot said.
"Hey, put me down!" Tron demanded. She looked at how high up she is. She gasped loudly. "On second thought, don't put me down!"
"You should make up your mind," Omega said. "E-123 Omega to SMASH Tower. Hostile captured."
"Good. We'll beam you up so we can question her," Alia said.
"Affirmative," Omega replied as Omega and Tron teleported in. As soon as they got on board in the SMASH Tower, Alia slapped the cuffs on her wrists.
"Put her in the brig so we can question her later," Alia said.
"Acknowledged," Omega said.
"Hey, what is this? Where am I? And where are you taking me?" Tron asked. Tron tried to get loose, but Omega held on tight. "Let me go, or I'll turn you into scrap metal!" She kept it up until Omega came to the cells and threw her in. "Why me?"
Back in Lumiose City, Sora joins his friends as Bonnie is playing with the Pokémon in the yard. Ventus even joined in on the playing. Clemont sees Sora coming in.
"How's Froakie doing?" Clemont asked.
"Froakie's getting better. He's sleeping it off right now," Sora answered.
"That's good to know," Clemont said.
"Look at all these Pokémon! I never seen any of these before!" Bonnie said.
"It's not Professor Oak's lab, but it's pretty nice. The Pokémon seems to like it, too," Sora said.
"I take it that you're from the Kanto region?" Professor Sycamore asked.
"Yeah. Kairi, Ven, Terra, Aqua, and I are originally from the Kanto region, while Karen grew up in Nuvema Town in the Unova region. We've been through so much a lot together," Sora said.
"Sora and I have been traveling together ever since we first met," Kairi said.
"We traveled throughout the Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova regions," Sora said. "We were even in the Alola and Galar regions for a vacation."
"Sora and I have caught different kinds of Pokémon in our journeys," Kairi said.
"I see," Professor Sycamore said.
"Professor, I hear that you've been doing research on Mega Evolution, is that right?" Clemont asked.
"Yes, it's true, Clemont. The phenomenon known as Mega Evolution originated right here in the Kalos region," Professor Sycamore said. "Now, can any of you answer how is Mega Evolution possible?"
"Mega Evolution can be done when a Pokémon and its trainer has a strong bond with each other," Ventus said. "And both Pokémon and trainer has to be holding a special stone, called the Mega Stone."
"Yes, that is correct. Ever since I was a boy, I have been fascinated by Mega Evolution. In fact, Garchomp is one of those Pokémon that can undergo Mega Evolution," Professor Sycamore explained.
"That would explain it," Sora said. "And I thought I should share that I've seen it happen a few times in my journey."
"I see," Professor Sycamore said. "Garchomp is helping me out on that research."
Outside the lab, a couple of Team Shadow peons followed the trail to the lab. They wore white lab coats to avoid drawing attention to themselves.
"You sure he went in here?" One of the peons asked.
"That's what the people said. They said they saw some funny-looking creatures with them, and those Digimon matches the description," another peon said. He took out a small device out of his pocket. "And this is a golden opportunity to test out one of Ein's collars."
They enetered the lab through the doors. Sophie, Cosette, and Garchomp came in the main hall.
"May I help you both?" Sophie asked.
"Yes, we came to assist with Professor Sycamore's research," the first peon said. Froakie woke up and he could tell something was off with those men.
"I wasn't informed of this," Sophie said. Froakie jumped out of the ER and growled at the Team Shadow peons.
"Look, a Froakie. It must be the one that gave him a hard time," the second peon whispered.
"It has to be a tough Pokémon if it did that. And the perfect test subject," the first peon said, taking out the device.
"What do you think you're doing?" Sophie asked when she saw the device.
"You may wanna stand back," the second peon said. Ghe first peon threw the device at Froakie, but Garchomp got in front of Froakie, taking the hit. Sophie gasped. She roared in pain as she went berserk.
"Not the intended target, but we know it works," the first peon said. "Now to test it out." He tried to control Garchomp, but it wasn't working. "What the hell is the matter with this damn thing? Why won't it work the way I want it?"
In the back yard, Garchomp's roar is heard.
"It's Garchomp!" Sora said.
"Something's wrong!" Agumon said.
They all raced inside as Cosette went to get Professor Sycamore.
"Professor!" Cosette said.
"Cosette, what's wrong?" Professor Sycamore asked.
"It's Garchomp! A couple of men took out a collar of some kind, and placed it on her!" Cosette said.
Inside, Garchomp fired Hyper Beam, causing some serious damage on the main hall. Froakie tried to get it off of her, but she bats him off of her. Everyone arrived on the scene.
"What's going on in here?" Professor Sycamore asked.
"Professor, this whole thing was caused by those people right there!" Sophie said, pointing at the Team Shadow peons.
"Alright, who are you?" Professor Sycamore asked. They didn't answer as they attempted to control Garchomp, but she fired Hyper Beam, sending them off. They screamed as they went flying. Garchomp's Hyper Beam, created a hole in the ceiling.
"Garchomp, you okay?" Sora asked. Garchomp then fired Hyper Beam at the group. "GET DOWN!" The group ducked their heads as Garchomp fired Hyper Beam.
"Why is Garchomp firing Hyper Beam at us?" Karen asked.
"Look at her neck," Clemont said. Everyone looked at Garchomp's neck and saw the collar.
"What's that thing?" Meowth asked.
"It's some sort of collar," Professor Sycamore said.
"It's from those people. They threw it at Froakie, but Garchomp jumped in, and defended Froakie," Sophie said. Garchomp jumped out and went on a wild rampage.
"Man, this we didn't need," Sora said.
"What's gonna happen to Garchomp?" Bonnie tearfully asked.
"We'll have to stop her before she hurts someone," Patamon said.
"Patamon's right, that collar is messing with her mind," Gomamon said.
"Let's go!" Sora said as the group all set off to find Garchomp. They just had to follow the trail of destruction. Froakie came along for the ride.
Garchomp flew in the sky and fired Hyper Beam at a random building. The police rode in, making an announcement.
"Attention, citizens, there's a Garchomp on a wild rampage! Please evacuate the area immediately!" Officer Jenny instructed. A helicopter flies over the traffic as a reporter and her cameraman peeks out.
"At this moment, Garchomp is flying towards Prism Tower!" The reporter said. Garchomp went high to the tower, and fired Hyper Beam at the helicopter after landing. Garchomp missed her target. "Garchomp is now firing random Hyper Beams! It just aimed one straight our helicopter! Garchomp seemed extremely agitated!"
Over in Vaniville Town, Serena's mother is sitting on the couch, watching the event on TV. She took a sip of her tea.
"Have a look at this. Something's unbelievable is happening," Serena's mother said.
In the kitchen, Serena took out a bottled water with her face banaged.
"Oh yeah? Well, something unbelievable happened to my face," Serena said, feeling annoyed and agitated by the morning training. She sees the event on TV. "What movie is this?" She sat down.
"It's live from Lumiose City. Something awful's going on," Serena's mother said. Serena was surprised by what was happening on TV.
In another house, a tall and svelte boy. He has straight, medium length black hair and gray eyes. He took off the red outdoors cap he is wearing. He also wears a blue zipped jacket with white stripes, blue skinny jeans, black ankle socks, and black short boots with blue laces. He turned on the TV and sees the news coverage.
"What's this?" The boy asked.
Back in Lumiose City, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon made it towards Prism Tower.
"There's Garchomp!" Tentomon said.
"We gotta up there!" Sora said. Clemont looked at Sora like he was crazy.
"That's dangerous!" Clemont said.
"Garchomp's the one who's in danger. One way or the other, that collar's coming off!" Sora said. Froakie looked right at Sora.
"If getting that collar off is important, then I know a way to get around," Clemont said. Everyone all looked at him.
"How?" Wormmon asked.
"Follow me," Clemont said. He led the group to the back door. "There's an emergency stairwell behind this door. Good thing I've brought my backpack."
"Your backpack?" Kairi asked.
"The future is now, thanks to science!" Clemont said, adjusting his glasses. "Alright, Clemontic Gear on!" He pushed a button on his straps as a robotic Aipim tail activates. The robotic arm extends and adjusted the platform on the side of the door. The locks comes undone. "There!"
"That was impressive," Terra said.
"Where did you get that thing?" Aqua asked.
"It's one of my inventions," Clemont said.
"Clemont's an inventor; the best I know," Bonnie said proudly.
"I'm just good at these things," Clemont bashfully said.
"Let's go," Sora said.
"Right," the rest of the group said. They were about to climb up when Meowth said a Hyper Beam coming at them.
"LOOK OUT!" Meowth shouted.
The blast sends Sora, Pikachu, and Froakie inside. Everyone else is still outside.
"Guys! You okay?!" Sora exclaimed.
"We're okay, Sora! You go on ahead," Kairi said.
"Okay!" Sora said.
"And be careful," Sora said. Sora nodded to his girlfriend and ran right up the stairs.
Outside to the crowd, a tall homeless man makes his way to the crowd. He wore stitched-up clothing. He also has long white hair. He also wore a wool orange hat, a teal scarf, a roughed-up gray jacket with a sweater underneath, a pair of jeans and makeshift boots. He sees Professor Sycamore running through the crowd.
"Officer Jenny!" Professor Sycamore called out.
"Professor Sycamore?" Officer Jenny asked.
"I am so sorry about all this," Professor Sycamore apologized.
"Look up there!" One man shouted, poiting up. The crowd sees Sora climb right up. "It's some kid!"
"It's Sora!" Professor Sycamore said.
"What's he doing?" Officer Jenny asked.
Sora, Pikachu, and Froakie started to slowly approach Garchomp.
"Easy, girl, we're here to help you get that collar off of you," Sora said. Garchomp fired another Hyper Beam, making Sora duck his head, along with Pikachu and Froakie.
"There's a boy on top of Prosm Tower! Could he be trying to reason with Garchomp?" The reporter asked.
Back in Vaniville Town in Serena's house, they continued to watch the news coverage.
"Could that kid be Garchomp's trainer?" Serena's mother asked. Serena looked right at Sora on the screen and she had the feeling she saw him before, but she couldn't remember where and when.
Sora attempts to get closer, but Garchomp jumped even further up.
"Wait, come back!" Sora called out. "Crap." He looked at the ladder and he grinned. With Pikachu and Froakie on his shoulders, he climbed even higer up.
"There they are!" Tentomon said.
"I can't believe how brave Sora when he's helping Pokémon!" Bonnie said.
"He's like that when helping someone in need," Ventus said.
"I need to get up there," Clemont said.
"Wait, I'm going with you!" Bonnie said.
Clemont used his Aipom arm to move of the debris as the Digimon bashed the debris. They all climbed right in as Bonnie followed Ventus. She slipped, but he caught her.
"I got you, Bonnie," Ventus said. Bonnie blushed, looking into his eyes.
"Thank you," Bonnie said.
The group started to make their way up to the top of the tower. Sora, Pikachu, and Froakie made it to the top of the tower.
"I'm here to help, Garchomp," Sora said.
"Unbelievable! That boy has climbed to the top of Prism Tower!" The reporter said.
In Vaniville Town, Serena never took her eyes off the screen. The boy did the same thing in his own house.
Back at Prism Tower, Sora slowly makes his way towards Garchomp.
"I'm just here to help you. I can't do that if you don't let me," Sora said. Garchomp then fired another Hyper Beam at Sora. He ducks his head. Pikachu's cheeks emits electricity. "Pikachu, don't! Your Electric Type moves won't affect Garchomp, and not only that, you might blow it up, along with her!" Pikachu knew he was right. The goal is to help Garchomp, not kill her. Garchomp backed up to the edge. Fearing shell fall, Froakie took some of his frubbles and threw them at Garchomp's feet. "Good thinking, Froakie! Now to get that collar off!" Sora ran right at Garchomp as Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Angel, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon made it to the top.
"Sora!" Kairi called out.
"Pikachu! Iron Tail on the collar!" Sora called out. Pikachu uses Iron Tail on the collar, freeing Garchomp from the pain. "There, does that feel better?" Garchomp nodded. "That's good to know." Pikachu ran up to Sora, but the ground beneath him broke off.
"Pikachu!" Sora gasped.
"Eevee!" Angel also gasped.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted as he fell. Sora jumped to save his partner.
In Vaniville Town, Serena gasped when jumped off. Sora catches the mouse Pokémon in his arms, but a ball of fire caught them both and brought them down. It turns out to be a Blaziken, but it looked different. Blaziken has black where the yellow is, and it has its crests going upwards.
"Blaziken?" Sora asked. "Thanks for the save." The Blaziken jumped and reverted back to normal. Professor Sycamore ran up to Sora.
"Are you alright, Sora?" Professor Sycamore asked.
"I'm fine. Thanks to that Blaziken up there," Sora said.
"Blaziken?" Professor Sycamore asked. He gasped when he saw Blaziken, along with a mean, wearing a cape, and a mask, similar to the Blaziken that saved him.
"Job well done. Let's be off," the man said.
"Blaziken!" The Blaziken said as the Pokémon and man took off.
"You were just saved by Mega Blaziken," Professor Sycamore said.
"Thanks, Blaziken," Sora said in his thoughts.
Back in Vaniville Town, Serena realized who it was.
"Sora?" Serena asked herself.
On the next morning, everything is back to normal, although Kairi gave her boyfriend an earful for jumping out like that, but she forgave him since it was because he was concerned about Pikachu.
"Thank you very much for helping Garchomp, Sora," Professor Sycamore said gratefully.
"You don't have to thank me, professor. We're just glad nothing bad happened to Garchomp," Sora said.
"Since the Gym isn't gonna let you in, what are you gonna do?" Ventus asked.
"I guess I'll have to try a different Gym," Sora said.
"I suggest you try your luck by challenging the Santalune City Gym, Sora. I just heard the Gym Leader there has just returned from her latest trip," Professor Sycamore said.
"Then Santalune City's going to be our first stop," Sora said. He looked right at Froakie. "We'll be off, Froakie. Again, thanks for helping us out. And be sure you obey your new trainer." As they were taking off to Santalune City, Froakie started to go after Sora. Professor Sycamore was surprised by what he was seeing.
"Froakie, Froakie," Froakie said.
"Huh, Froakie? What's up?" Sora asked.
"Froakie, Fro, Fro, Froakie, Frokie, kie, Froakie, Fro," Froakie said.
"Froakie's saying that he wants to be with you, Sora," Meowth translated.
"Froakie, you sure?" Sora asked.
"Fro," Froakie nodded.
"Looks like Froakie made up his mind," Professor Sycamore said. "Normally, the trainer chooses the Pokémon, but Froakie has chosen you, Sora." Sora was just as surprised as he looked at the bubble frog Pokémon with a smile.
"You did help us out yesterday. And I did mean what I said about you being welcomed in the team," Sora said. "Welcome aboard."
"You will need this," Professor Sycamore hands Sora, Froakie's Pokéball and he called Froakie right inside.
"Welcome to the team, Froakie," Sora said.
It seems that Froakie has chosen his trainer instead of it being the tradional way. Who knows how much stronger Froakie will be under teachings. We should find out when we go forward.
