I wish it was me , I wish our children didn't lose their father and I wish I didn't lose the love of my life .

I never thought this would happen to me again.first Allison died and there was nothing i could do .

She died on 9/11 and that was one of the worst days of my life.

Then I joined the army and I met him.

The day he died was the second worst day of my life.

The first and most worst day of my life was losing Owen.

When I heard a loud crash and screaming I knew the car fell. I told the driver thank you and ran back to the crash and saw I was right. There was a crying Hayes and the car was nowhere to be found. I looked at Hayes trying to keep calm.Where is owen? Where's the car ? what happened ?'' She looked trying not to cry but it was too late. She was already crying. He told me to get out because my kids deserve one parent to be alive and I went to grab him and the car fell. I'm so sorry teddy i" he didn't get to finish as teddy screamed collapsing to the ground knowing he was dead. Nobody could have survived a crash falling 100 feet. Teddy sobbed into her knees as the parmetics came and the fire department came. When she saw that there was a body in a bag they brought up she couldn't do anything but cry. Crying was too much as she had passed out. A parmetic has picked her up and taken her to gray sloan with hayes before they realized owen was in fact alive but they were more focused on making sure teddy was taken care off to wait.

Teddy later woke up in a hospital bed and looked around seeing Megan and her family were there all except owen. Teddy began sobbing knowing that he died and before anyone could stop her she pulled out her iv and ran as fast as she could. She didn't care how much her body ached she just needed to go to the one place nobody would find her, The roof.But before she made it there she ran into hayes. Her hair had dirt on it and she was badly bruised from the wreck .

Teddy looked at Hayes

" what happened in that car ?! What the hell happened to the love of my life ?!"

Sue yelled at him, clearly upset .

Hayes looked at her " I can't tell you that teddy he told me not to "

had gulps looking at her .

Teddy looked at him never this upset or mad before.

Teddy was never this mad or upset at anyone but one person, the last time she was this mad and pissed was when Henry died and owen kept it from her .

" he just died ! The love of my life , the father of my kids just died ! You will dam well tell me what he told you right now ! Or so help me "

Teddy said as she tried to fight the tears coming down her face " he just died , i'm a widow for the second time so tell me what he told you now . My kids lost their dad and I'm allowed to be mad so you tell me right now what he told you ."

He gulped and tried not to look at her, he knew how she felt to lose a spouse, he lost his wife to cancer but they had small kids who wouldn't even remember their father . So he took a deep breath and looked her in the eyes

" In Owens truck there's drugs to help veterans who are in pain die . He told me a lot of them can't take pain medicine and to call heather noah's wife. He told she would know what to do with the medicine" He gulped looking at her expression and Teddy looked at him " that's what he was being suspicious about ?"

Teddy dropped her phone on her knees and broke down sobbing as it hit her that he was really gone.

She got up and walked down the hall upstairs and closed the oncall room door and broke down.

She really did lose him, she had planned this whole life with him and her children. Teddy was a widow again

" im im a widow" she stuttered sobbing and threw her phone " what did i ever do to you? Why is it always me ?! Why am I the one who has always had to suffer ? you took him away from me, our kids, our family." Teddy threw things and dropped to her knees sobbing. He was gone,their kids lost their dad, Megan lost her brother, Evelyn lost her son , and she lost her husband. She had no will to live anymore. She always felt she wasn't a good mom.

Even with the hours of therapy nothing would fix her shattered heart. Nothing would ever be the same.Before anyone could find her because they were looking for her she ran to the roof to be alone for good.

4 hours earlier

Owen knew in his heart he did the right thing but in his mind it was different.

He married the love of his life 3 months ago and he finally had everything in his life. Earlier that week they both were talking about having another baby but now he is laying in an upside down car unconscious with a dead driver.

The whole way down from the fall he thought about teddy and how much he loved her and their little family.

He was 100 feet in a ditch and he just wanted Teddy with him but he knew he did the right thing, he just wished if he was going to be dead it would be a different way. He's happy his wife wasn't here though because he didn't want to ever see her in pain.

He began to gain his continue again and looked around hearting ringing from his ears.

He saw that the driver was dead and checked his pulse and sat back hearing people. He recognized the voice.

" I don't care beckett! I am going to save my friend. His wife needs him, his family needs him, I need him !. I'm not going to sit here while he could be bleeding out, or dead. I am going down there to get him" Ben got his gear on with maya and began to climb down the cliff to the car.

When they arrived they saw Owen and the driver

" Hunt, are you okay ! were on our way, don't move!"

Ben yelled to him.

Owen nodded

" yeah im okay ''

Owen tried to move but couldn't because of the pressure.

Ben nodded and began to pull them out with the driver first and headed up with the body.

Robert pulled the body up and went on his walky talky declaring the driver dead. Ben began to climb back down to Owen and hooked him to the harness and began to pull him up slowly.

When they got to the top carina was there to assess his injuries as Ben would help her.

Ben did the concussion exam

" Are you okay hunting ?"

Ben asked him as he wrapped Owen's leg in a wrap to stop bleeding.

Owen winced in pain

" did the heart get there ? Is Teddy okay ?"

Owen looked only worried about his wife

" She's okay Owen but she's not well. Owen we should hurry"

He helped Owen up and got him in the rig to Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital and drove.

The last thing owen remembered was falling asleep

Owen woke up in a hospital bed and saw his mom and megan.

Evelyn smiled softly

" Oh my sweet baby boy" she hugs him crying " don't ever do that again, I can't lose you , megan cant lose you and oh poor teddy she needs you. Owen looked around, seeing that Teddy was nowhere to be found.

" Did Faroke get the heart ? Is he okay?" owwn hoped he was okay because if he was dead or the heart didn't work it would have all been for nothing.

Megan nodded " yeah he's in icu recovering" Megan smiled and hugged her brother happy both of the most important men in her life were alive. " But now it's time to find teddy. She woke up here because she passed out and she was looking for you and when she remembered she thought you were dead she ran off and I heard yelling in the hallway. Owen, we don't know where she went but I'm really worried she's not okay. I never saw her this upset about anything."

Owen needed softly i needed to find her, i already thought i lost her for good. I need to be here right now." "Evelyn looked at Owen and sat on his bed. And held his hand worried. Owen looked for his bag and stood up walking slowly because of pain but he didnt care, nothing mattered more to him then teddy. Teddy was his world, his everything, Nothing in his life was worth more than his family. His kids and his now wife are all that mattered.Even through the cheating and her mental breakdown. Owen walked down the hall and found Hayes and walked to him " Where is she ? Where is my wife ?" he asked in a worried tone.

Hayes looked up" oh thank god " he hinged Owen "I don't know where she went Owen but she knows about the drugs. She was a mess and she…Hayes couldn't finish his sentence because Owen took off running. He knew exactly where she was and he went to go find his wife.

Teddy sat on the rooftop looking at the sunset, she always went out there when she needed a minute or just alone time with her or owen. Some things they even made love there but that was their little secret. Teddy loved it up here, whenever she would have a bad day she would page down here so they could watch the sunset together.Teddy smiled remembering the last time they were up here. They made their little peanut that was in teddys belly. Teddy closed her eyes remembering that day

Teddy opened the door to the roof as Owen had paged her here." owen i got your page is everything " she didnt finish her sentence as owen had dipped her and kissed her softly " well yes i did my beautiful wife" he smiles setting her back up and kisses her softly " i thought we could watch the sunset." Teddy smiled at him and nodded while sitting with him while the sky began to turn orange and held his hand. It's so beautiful up here that I could stay here forever. She joked and laid her head on him. Owen smiled softly and pulled her chin up and kissed her softly. " and I think you're the most beautiful girl in the world and I'm grateful I can call you my wife." Teddy smiles and kisses him back " and I'm grateful you're my husband". Teddy kissed him deeper and got on him. The rooftop was always her favret spot because it was theres, nobody knew they snuck up here and when they had sex it was magical to her and him. Teddy laid her head on Owen's chest as she looked at the stars as Owen played with her hair and kissed her head. " Have I ever told you how much I love you?" he looked in her eyes and held her close '' yes you have you tell me everyday '' she laughed and kissed him softly.

Teddy opened her eyes and smiled, wiped her face and rubbed her belly " oh sweet pea im sorry your daddy never will know about you. Today wasn't supposed to be like this my love but we have grandma and aunt megan. Oh and your big brother Leo and big sister allison. Oh my love even though you don't have your daddy anymore you won't be any less loved. I wish you could have met him," Teddy smiled softly and got down from the ledge. She had taken time to clear her head and now it was time to tell her little ones what happened to their daddy. Teddy walked down the hall back to her family.

Owen knew she would be on the roof and open the door " teddy im here i wont …" he saw she wasn't there " now where could she be ? " He looked around and saw a big pile of tissues and signs knowing she was here. He needed to find her, they both nearly died and he about died in that car but he's still alive and he needed her back, he needed her in his sights to know she was safe, to kiss her , to tell her everything will be okay that it won't ever happen again but he still has noah and the veyrens and how he helped noah die. Owen suddenly started to feel guilty about not telling teddy. He had been acting strange lately and he did feel guilty because he should have told her but what I did could have been illegal and i didnt want her to suffer and be upset with me. I dont know if she dose knoe or not but if she dise she will probably murder me. Owen smiled thinking about his wife and how she's tried to kill him before. She wouldn't even hurt him but they do play around a lot. She always slaps his arm and he would always pull her close and they would share a kiss.'' I need to find her and find her now. I need to tell her everything to know she's safe from any harm '' Owen took off running down the steps to find the love of his life. He looked for a while and then he finally saw her. His beautiful wife, even with her hair a mess and tear streaks on her face she was still the most beautiful girl he ever saw.

Teddy took leo and allison inot a hall where it wasn't busy and kisses their heads mommy needs to talk to you guys, it's about daddy.'' She looked at her toddlers and took a deep breath " mommy and daddy were in a bad car crash after we got cousin farokes new heart with doctor hayes. The car was upside down and well mommy had to leave daddy and doctor Hayes so Feroke could have his heart and aunt Megan would be happy again. When i came back i heard a loud crash my loves and daddy he.." teddy tried to not cry but it was too late " daddy died loves" Leo looked at teddy " but your a doctor fix daddy mommy " teddy looked " leo mommy would if she could my love, I wish i could fix daddy and we all could be happy but daddy is gone leo i'm sorry my love" she kisses leos head and looked at allison who was confused " but we just saw daddy momma, daddys okay." the toddler said to her mother." no ally daddy died he got really hurt my love and he died im sorry ally."Allison shook her head " daddy okay momma , he here with us. Teddy didn't understand what her almost three year old was saying but she nodded at her.Teddy hugged her babies close to her and kissed their heads. When she looked up she saw something she longed for all day. Standing there was Owen Hunt, her husband and father of her children. Teddy stood up but before she could say anything she fell as she passed out from stress, anxiety and the fact she thought she lost him for good. Owen ran to her not caring about himself but only her as he made sure she was breathing as he picked her up like he did 8 months ago when she had an emotional breakdown. He ran and took her to get help as they helped her but as soon as they thought she was good she began to falline. Maggie yelled as she charged the paddles ro 250 trying to get her mentor and close friend back " come on teddy ! you do not get to die not now , npt ever you hear me . Your husband needs you, your kids need you , your family needs you.'' Owen turned away as he held his two little kids rocking them . Maggie goes to owen" she's going to need surgery. I'm going to take her right now. Make sure you get checked out and i'll be out as soon as i get done" she runs his back and leaves to get teddy's surgery done.

Owen sat in the chapple with his head in his hands as he cried softly " please don't take her away from me again. I already thought i lost her once i can't do it again. I can't lose her please don't take her from me. I need her here,I need the love of my life back." he began to sob into his hands a mess. Teddy was the only person to ever make him feel what he felt, she was his rock, his partner in crime, she was his partner in surgery and in the army. She saved him when he needed it most and now he sat there helpless as his wife was being worked on. Owen held his head and heard noise and looked up seeing maggie " is she okay ?" he asked more scared then he ever was in his entire life. Maggie nodded" she's okay she's in the icu if you want to see her" owen nodded and thanked maggie before running to the icu. When he got there he saw her, even when she was sleeping she was the most beautiful person he ever saw. Owen sat by her bed not caring that his knee was all messed up or that he needed to be checked. In his eyes he didn't matter , his family is what mattered most to him. Owen barely moved, he only moved when one of the kids wanted him. She slept for 5 day after the surgery, he just wanted her back his teddy bear back. Owen was holding her hand asleep when he felt her squeeze his hand and he looked up seeing her move'' teddy teddy can you hear me ?" he got up and was holding her hand as she opened her eyes " o- owen owen is that really you?" she started tearing up as he pulled her close " yes my love i'm right here i'm not going anywhere else" he held her face and wiped her tears " i'm not going anywhere ever again, i love you so much theodora grace. You can't get rid of me that easily. I won't go anywhere but be here with you. I'm sorry about the crash " he smiled at her, happy she was awake and that she was okay, Teddy broke down sobbing into him og jpy and stress. Don't ever do that again please, no more being the hero I need you here " she sniffled looking up at him not knowing if it was a dream or not. " i pinky swear i won't go anywhere but be with you teddy." he climbed into the bed and held her face looking at her green eyes " god your so beautiful even tho your in so much pain." Teddy smiled and kissed him deeply with the power she had. Owen kissed her back deeply, crying " I thought I lost you for good, my sweet lovely wife." Owen held her close and kissed her head as she cuddled up against him.Teddy looked at him " Owen what happened in that car? Hayes told me you helped Noah die?" she asked him worriedly. Owen was upset, Hayes told Teddy but he also understood why he did '' yes I helped him die and I promised him 3 more veterans who are like him will be able to die in peace. They deserve the healthcare they need and i didnt break a law teddy i didn't steal the drugs it will be okay my love i'm waiting on a grant for the founding but noah was ready to go so i helped him die with the drugs.'' Owen looked at her not knowing what she would say to him. Teddy nodded softly " oh owen i'm sorry you ever had to feel like i couldn't talk to me about this. I'm your wife, do we need to do these things together oaky ?" owen nodded in agreement

3 weeks later

Everybody was at Owen and teddys house for christmas. Yes it was january but with the crash happening and farokes surgery everybody wanted to wait including teddy and owen. Teddy hadn't told him about the baby and she had no idea how he didn't find out but he didn't. Owen was on his way home with Teddy to surprise her with everybody there. Teddy walked in the house and saw everybody , she was just as surprised as she was at their wedding a few months ago. " Owen, what is all this ? " she looked at him" well since we were both in the hospital over christmas i decided why not plan another christmas where we are all okay and healthy. Teddy smiled at Owen and nodded, kissing him softly.Hours had passed and everybody was leaving but there was still one gift Owen had to open. Teddy sat on the bed and looked at him " here this for you," she handed him a box. Owen looked at her and opened the box. Inside was a key chain with all their names on it with their birthdays and on the bottom it had her due date with her baby she was pregnant with. "you're pregnant ?" he teared up smiling as she nodded " yeah i am, i was going to tell you then the accident happened and i was in that coma for a few days. I wanted it to be special." she looked at him as he kissed her deeply " you don't know how much i love you, teddy your everything i ever wanted in life. Your smart, your brave, your badass and most importantly your my sexy wife who i can't wait to start the next chapter of our lives with. I love you with everything in my whole heart and i don't ever want to lose you ever again my theodora.'' Teddy smiled and kissed him deeply. She had her love of her life back, she had her family , and most importantly she had been by her side through it all. " not a day goes by that i don't love you owen, i love you and i will always love you no matter what happens in life i can't wait to see."
