Episode 529: Clemont's Got A Secret
After winning his first Gym battle in the Santalune City Gym against Viola, Sora checked Fletchling and Fennekin in to be healed after the hard battling they did.
"So, how do we get to Cyllage City from here?" Sora asked.
"To get to Cyllage City, we'll have to make our way through Lumiose City to get there," Clemont said.
"Lumiose City will be our first stop," Sora said. The bell rings, indicating that Fennekin and Fletchling were now better.
"Your Fennekin and Fletchling are both fighting fit," Nurse Joy said.
"Thanks a lot," Sora said, taking the Pokéballs.
"Now that they're fully healed, we can have our meal, right?" Veemon asked.
"You got it, Veemon," Sora said.
They head for the messhall and started eating the meal from inside. Serena lets out her Fennekin and joins the others as they ate.
"Your Pokémon is a Fennekin, huh?" Karen asked.
"Uh-huh. I got her from Professor Sycamore and set off for my journey," Serena said. "I have to admit, I'm a bit surprised you have all three Kalos starters, Sora."
"Yeah. Froakie came from Professor Sycamore's lab, but my Fennekin and Chespin I caught in the wild," Sora said. "Anyway, I don't think I introduced you to my friends here. This is Karen, she's my twin sister. And this is Ven, he's my cousin."
"Sister? I thought you said you didn't have any brothers or sisters," Serena pointed out.
"So did I until we met in Driftveil City," Sora said.
"I grew up in Nuvema Town. I was adopted by a childless couple shortly after I was born," Karen said.
"I see," Serena said. "How did the meeting with your real family go?"
"Better than I thought. I was bummed that I never got to meet my real father, but I'm glad to know where I really came from," Karen said. She took out a photo of Sora and Karen's parents on their wedding. "This was my first clue."
"Oh, your mommy's really pretty," Bonnie said.
"Thank you," Sora said.
"You take up after your dad, Sora. He even has the same necklace as you," Clemont said.
"Like I said. The one he's wearing is the one I'm wearing," Sora said. "Also, Serena, meet Terra and his girlfriend Aqua. And these are the Digimon, Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Palmon, Veemon, Wormmon, Tentomon, Gomamon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, Patamon, and Gatomon. And this is Kairi. She's my girlfriend." Serena was devastated to hear Sora is in a relationship with someone else.
"Girlfriend?" Serena quietly squeaked. "He had a girlfriend all this time, and I didn't know it? I was wondering why she was always hanging with him," Serena said in her thoughts.
Meanwhile, several Team Shadow peons were standing watch for any signs of invaders, but they're unaware that they're being watched by two individuals.
One of them is a young woman with Marth's outfit, and hair color. She has a sword by her side. Another is a young man with blonde hair and blue eyes. He wore short red jacket, a black sweater with pink and purple patterning, grey shorts with straps and flat-soled boots. He wore a whistle around his neck.
"Are those the blokes we were told about?" The young man asked.
"There's no mistaking it, Shulk. They match the description perfectly," the young woman said. "We should inform the others about this."
"I don't know about you, Lucina, but I think we should rush them," Shulk said.
"No. We were only told to report, nothing else," Lucina said. "Come before they see us." Lucina and Shulk took their leave before the Team Shadow peons could spot them.
Meanwhile, Xande along with Grogar, Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow ventured into what looks like a flooded cave. Inside where some Basculin, both red and blue striped.
"I'm going to guess we're looking for the Water Crystal," Chrysalis said.
"Indeed. The Water Crystal was hidden here same as the others. Come, we must move," Xande said. The villains make their way through, unaware that something is moving through the water. As they made their way through the cave, Xande could sense the crystal's presence. "We are close."
"Shouldn't we have run into whatever guards it by now?" Cozy Glow asked as a large serpent-like creature emerged from the water.
"You had to say it," Tirek deadpanned.
"Leviathan, I should have guessed you were the crystal's guardian," Xande said.
"You know this creature?" Grogar asked.
"Yes," Xande said. "Thundaga!" Xande unleashed a bolt of lightning at Leviathan, striking it. Leviathan fell back in the water with a big splash. "The crystal." The villains enters the chamber and saw a sapphire blue crystal in the altar. Xande took the crystal in his hands and he grinned. "Five more to go." Xande, Grogar, Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow all vanish with the crystal in their possession. Xande and the Equestrian villains returned with the Crystal of Water. "The Crystal of Water, your majesty." Mateus takes the crystal from the wizard with a smile.
"Wonderful job, Xande," Mateus said. "You may await for further instructions." Xande bowed his head in respect.
Back in Kalos, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon started to make their way to Lumiose City as Serena glared at Kairi, feeling very jealous of Kairi.
"Since we're on our way to Cyllage City, I think it'll be a good idea if you caught yourself another Kalos Pokémon," Clemont suggested.
"Good idea, Clemont. It wouldn't hurt to catch one before we get there," Sora said. He looked around as he spots a Bunnelby. "Bingo." He looked right at Pikachu. "You ready to go, Pikachu?"
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Okay, Pikachu! Use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dashed over to Bunnelby. The digging Pokémon turned and got hit by Pikachu's Quick Attack. Bunnelby wasn't going to take that laying down, so it came right at Pikachu with Tackle.
"Bunnelby's starting with Tackle!" Ventus said.
"Dodge and use Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu came at Bunnelby with Iron Tail. Bunnelby jumped out of the way and then, came at Pikachu, and slapped the mouse Pokémon silly.
"That's Double Slap!" Aqua said.
"Use Iron Tail again!" Sora ordered. Pikachu came down at Bunnelby with Iron Tail. Bunnelby catches Pikachu's tail, stopping Pikachu in his tracks.
"Now, Pikachu can't move!" Bonnie said.
"And Niether can Bunnelby; not as long he's holding Pikachu by the tail, and if I know Sora, he knows Bunnelby's stuck," Kairi said.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt right on the hare Pokémon. Bunnelby ends up being paralyzed by Pikachu's attack. He took out a Pokéball and threw it. Bunnelby flowed inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "And Bunnelby makes six."
"Such a great catch, Sora," Serena complemented.
"Thanks," Sora said. "Say, how about you catch your own Pokémon, Serena? I mean, Fennekin is the only one you've got."
"Okay," Serena said. She looked around for any signs for a Pokémon, and she spots a Pancham. She had to do what Sora did to catch Pancham. "Now that Pancham is cute." She took out Fennekin's Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Fennekin!" Her Pokéball opened up and Fennekin came right out to battle. "Fennekin! Use Ember!" Fennekin fired Ember right at Pancham. The little panda Pokémon dodged Ember and started to come at the fox Pokémon with its arms out.
"He's using Arm Thrust!" Kairi said. Fennekin got hit by Arm Thrust.
"Fennekin! Use Scratch!" Serena ordered. Fennekin scratched Pancham repeatedly. "Use Hidden Power!" Fennekin unleashed Hidden Power, and it struck Pancham on the spot. Pancham has taken a lot of damage.
"Pancham looks weak enough. Now's your chance!" Sora called out.
"Right!" Serena said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. Pancham flowed inside. The Pokéball starts to wobble around and around. Serena hoped that her very first catch was successful. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Serena's face lit up when her catch was successful. "Yay! I did it! I just made my very first catch! And I owe it to you, Sora!"
"You don't have to thank me, Serena. You and Fennekin did it by working together. You make a great team," Sora said.
"He's right, Serena. That is something you should always take to heart," Terra said.
With that done, the group continued on their way to Lumiose City. None of them were aware of a pair of red glowing eyes staring at them through the shrubs.
The group made a small stop to take a little break for a while. As they rested, they weren't aware of a pair of horns sticking out. Meowth tripped over it.
"Yeow! Hey! What's with this thing?" Meowth asked. Meowth gave the object a stomp on the ground. It was revealed to be a Pumpkaboo. Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon saw the pumpkin Pokémon floating out of the ground.
"A Pumpkaboo," Clemont said.
"Looks like she was sleeping there," Kairi said. Pumpkaboo then attacks Meowth with Flamethrower.
"Whoa! Hey, take it easy! I didn't know it was you! Honest!" Meowth said as he tried to reason with Pumpkaboo, but she wasn't interested in any excuses he has for her. Pumpkaboo fired some more Flamethrower attacks at Meowth. "Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot!"
"I'll save you, Meowth!" Kairi said, stepping in. "Angel! Use Iron Tail!" Angel ran towards Pumpkaboo and lands a hit with Iron Tail. "Can't use Headbutt, Swift, or Quick Attack against her, because they won't have any effect on her, so Iron Tail again!" Angel gave Pumpkaboo another Iron Tail, sending the pumpkin Pokémon down on the ground. "Good, Angel, now come back!" Angel complied and Kairi took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Vulpix!" Her Vulpix came right out. "Use Ember!" Vulpix unleashed Ember and struck Pumpkaboo on the spot. She took out a Pokéball and threw it. Pumpkaboo flowed inside the Pokéball and it wobbles around and around. It took a few seconds before stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "My first Kalos catch."
"Eevee, vee!" Angel cheered.
"And what a catch, Kairi!" Sora praised his girlfriend. Serena's jealousy was building up.
The group eventually reached Lumiose City once again. Upon arriving, they bumped into a pair of familiar faces.
"Thought I'd find you here," a familiar voice spoke. The group saw it was Riku who spoke. Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill were there as well.
"Riku, hey," Sora greeted as they high five each other.
"Hello, Sora," Naminé greeted. "Hi, Kairi."
"Hello, Naminé," Kairi greeted.
"Who are they?" Bonnie asked.
"The guy with the silver hair is Riku, and the girl with the blonde hair is Naminé," Ventus said. "And that's Eevee and Azurill with them."
"When did you get here, Riku?" Terra asked.
"Just earlier today. We had a run-in with Professor Sycamore, and he told us that you were heading to Santalune City for a Gym battle, and you would come here after winning to head for Cyllage City. And that reminds me; you win your Gym Badge here?" Riku asked.
"I sure did," Sora said, showing him the Bug Badge.
"Nice," Riku said. Naminé noticed the new people with them.
"Who are they?" Naminé asked.
"We should introduce ourselves. My name's Clemont, and this is my little sister Bonnie," Clemont introduced.
"Nice to meet you. This is Dedenne," Bonnie said.
"Denne, ne, ne!" Dedenne said.
"And I'm Serena," Serena introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you," Naminé said.
"Your Eevee is such a cutie!" Bonnie gushed at the sight of him. Eevee was reminded of Lana's little sisters, and how much they used makeup on him. "May I pet it?" Eevee climbed up to Riku's shoulder.
"Eevee is used to me and Naminé," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Oh, no fair," Bonnie pouted. Ventus blushed, finding her pouting to be cute. "But, Azurill's a cutie."
"I'll let you hold her if you want to, Bonnie," Naminé said. Bonnie's face lit up when she told her that. She hands Azurill to Bonnie.
"Hi, Azurill, I'm Bonnie," Bonnie introduced herself.
"Azu, Azu!" Azurill chirped.
Naminé smiled, finding it to be very cute to see Azurill having a good time.
"How about we find someplace to sit just so we talk?" Aqua suggested.
"Good idea, because I'm getting blisters on my blisters," Agumon said.
"We have been traveling for a while now," Hawkmon said.
"I don't know about you, but I feel like I could use a good long soak in some water right about now," Gomamon said.
"I could use some turtle wax on my shell even though I'm not a turtle," Armadillomon said.
The group starts to walk through the city as they shared about their past experiences in Kalos. Riku wasn't surprised to hear Team Shadow is in Kalos as well.
"I had a feeling they're here, too," Riku saisaid.
"They said they wanted to spread darkness everywhere, and they mean business," Gatomon said.
"Could they have anything to do with Garchomp going on a rampage?" Naminé asked.
"I'm leaning towards that," Sora said. "It seems like something they'd do."
"If they are, then I doubt they're going to stop there," Aqua said.
"Pikachu," Eclair said.
Serena was filled in about Team Shadow and about what they did in the Unova region whenever they met. She was surprised to hear people like them were in the Kalos region. Just when the group were about to take off, Clemont and Bonnie especially wanted to get out for some reason, they're greeted by a man on a scooter with an Ampharos riding in the rear. He wore a cap, dark gray long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up, light gray overalls and brown shoes. He has brown eyes, brown hair and a beard.
"Well, if it isn't my Clemont and Bonnie," the man said.
"Dad," Clemont said.
"Hi, daddy," Bonnie greeted.
"Dad?" Sora asked.
"Right, everyone, let me introduce you," Clemont said.
"I want you to meet our daddy," Bonnie said.
"I'm Meyer, and I run an electronics shop in the city along with Ampharos here," Meyer said.
"And these guys here, these are super, nice, good friends," Bonnie said. Meyer was in a state of shock and then sudden silence.
"Your friends? I'm so," Meyer said, finally able to speak. "I'm so..." He bursts into a river of tears. "I'M SO OVERCOME WITH HAPPINESS, I CAN'T TELL YOU!" He hugs both of his kids. "Thank you so much!"
"My name's Sora," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I'm Kairi, and this is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm Karen, and this is Blossom," Karen introduced.
"My name's Riku," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"I'm Naminé," Naminé said.
"Azu, Azu," Azurill chirped.
"My name's Ventus, but everyone calls me Ven. And this is Sparky," Ventus introduced.
"I'm Terra, and this is Thor," Terra introduced.
"I'm Aqua, and this is Eclair," Aqua introduced.
"Pika," Eclair said.
"I'm Agumon."
"I'm Veemon."
"My name's Gabumon."
"I'm Biyomon."
"I am Hawkmon."
"I'm Wormmon."
"I'm Tentomon."
"My name's Palmon."
"I'm Gomamon."
"I'm Armadillomon."
"I'm Patamon."
"I'm Gatomon."
"And I'm Serena," Serena finished with the introductions. Meyer took a look at Serena.
"Oh, so you finally got yourself a beautiful girlfriend," Meyer said. He teasingly elbowed his son. "Gotta keep my eye on you."
"Dad, it's nothing like that," Clemont said, blushing. Serena couldn't help but giggle.
"Daddy, this is Dedenne; he's mybnew friend," Bonnie introduced.
"Denne, ne!" Dedenne said.
"Oh, so you're an Electric Type as well, huh?Clemont, I know you're quite busy, but it's not going to kill you to visit the house every once in a while," Meyer said.
"Well, um, I uh..." Clemont stammered as he tried to look for an excuse.
"Also, there's one more thing I wanna say to you, son," Meyer said.
"Yeah, dad?" Clemont asked, shivering a little.
"It's true that you have to be tough to challengers, but you gotta ease up being the Gym Leader. Toughness alone isn't going to make them grow into better trainers. You'll have to be the Gym Leader that Lumiose City can be proud of," Meyer said.
"Gym Leader?" Kairi asked. Sora raised a brow.
"I'll be at the shop when you need me, so don't forget to drop by later," Meyer said.
"We won't," Clemont and Bonnie said. He got on the scooter and drove off. Clemont and Bonnie chuckled nervously as they waved goodbye to their father. They turned to their friends as Sora gave a serious look.
"Something you wanna share with the class, young man?" Sora asked in a serious tone.
"We might as well tell them the truth, Clemont," Bonnie said.
"You're right. The Torracat's out of the bag anyway," Clemont said as he sighed. "The truth is, I am the Lumiose City Gym Leader."
"Why did you keep it a secret all this time?" Sora asked.
"I wanted to tell you the truth, Sora, but I didn't know how you would react," Clemont said.
"It just wasn't easy just say it," Bonnie added.
"It's kinda the same with Sora's situation," Ventus said.
"And why did you have your Gym zap us when we got here the first time?" Meowth asked.
"It wasn't intentional. It was Clembot who upgraded the security system," Clemont said.
"Clembot?" Karen asked.
"Clembot is a robot that Clemont made," Bonnie said.
"What you already know is that I'm an inventor, but what you don't know is that I built Clembot to help run the Gym so I could have more time to work on my inventions," Clemont explained.
"So, it was the robot that gave us the boot when we first got here. Just why was he picky about me winning four Gym Badges?" Sora asked.
"The programming was to have the preferred number of being four or less, but Clembot decided on four or more," Clemont said.
"Why didn't you just reprogram your robot?" Riku asked.
"I was about to, but he chased us out before I even got a chance to," Clemont said.
"Your own robot chased you out?" Ventus asked.
"Yes. We tried to get back in, but every time we try, Clembot throws us out. He won't let in anyone who doesn't have four Gym Badges or more," Clemont said.
"Since you made Clembot, you could just try again," Ventus said.
"Try again?" Bonnie asked.
"Ven's right. You're the Gym Leader, so you'll have to get it back from him," Karen said.
The group made their way to Prism Tower when they came across three disgruntled trainers.
"What seems to be the problem?" Clemont asked.
"It's this Gym," one of the trainers said.
"The Gym Leader didn't let you in because you didn't have four Gym Badges, right?" Clemont asked nervously.
"I already got my four Gym Badges, but my opponent ended up being a robot. After I lost, the crazy robot just zapped me, and kicked me out," the first trainer said.
"I am so out of here."
"I'm never coming back to this Gym again."
The trainers all took their leave, filling Clemont with dread.
"Oh no, it's worse than I thought," Clemont said.
"Don't worry, Clemont, we'll be here to help get your Gym back," Serena said.
"She's right. That's going to help you get even stronger," Kairi agreed.
"Isn't there a backdoor we can use like before?" Patamon asked.
"Actually, there is a place like that," Clemont said. "If we get to the battlefield, we'll be recognized as challengers."
Agumon pulled the vents off as the group crawled their way through. Terra was too big to fit through because of his muscular physique.
"Let me know how it turns out, guys," Terra called through the vents.
They made their way through the vents. Palmon uses her vines to help Bonnie down.
"How much further are we?" Palmon asked.
"We don't have that farther to go until we reach the battlefield. Let's hurry up," Clemont said.
"Magnemite," a voice said. They saw a Magnemite float by.
"A Magnemite," Gabumon said.
"That Magnemite is one of my Pokémon," Clemont said. Magnemite stopped. "Magnemite, it's me." Magnemite fired an electric attack at the group. They started to run.
"Why is Magnemite attacking us? It's your Pokémon, isn't it?" Sora asked.
"Because Clembot is the Gym Leader now, I'm going to guess he ordered it to attack any intruders!" Clemont said.
"That's awful!" Serena said.
"Would you hold it against us if we battled Magnemite?" Riku asked.
"I see no other choice!" Clemont said.
"Blue Blaster!" Gabumon shouted as he fired his attack at the magnet Pokémon. Magnemite was struck hard by Gabumon's Blue Blaster.
"Good job, Gabumon," Karen said.
"Guys, a Magneton!" Ventus exclaimed.
"That Magneton's mine, too!" Clemont said. Magneton unleashes a soundwave right on the group. They covered their ears to keep out the sound.
"Metal Sound!" Meowth exclaimed.
"Pepper Breath!" Agumon shouted, shooting out a fireball, but Magneton dodged by splitting up. "It dodged my attack!" Magneton fired at the group again.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu blocked the attack as Wormmon stepped in.
"Sticky Net!" Wormmon shouted, firing his silk at the magnet Pokémon, getting it stuck.
"Pepper Breath!" Agumon shouted. Agumon shouted as he fired at Magneton again. The fireball struck Magneton on the spot.
"Nice shot!" Sora praised.
"You too, Sora!" Agumon said.
The group made it to the battlefield at last. The lights were off, and that has given them the advantage.
"We're here at last," Clemont said.
"Now to find that robot!" Sora said. A spotlight came on and they see the robot in question. The robot has a dent on the side of the head. He is similar to Clemont, and has a lightning-bolt on the forehead; the forehead resembles a cap.
"Welcome to the Lumiose City Gym," the robot greeted. The rest of the lights came on.
"Clembot, it's you," Clemont said. "Now, Clembot, activate Master Recognition Battle Mode!"
"First, voice recognition will be needed for recognition activation," Clembot said. Clemont thought for a moment as he remembered how his phrase sandwiches failed, but then he suddenly remembered something. Something he said to Clembot before.
"You can start today, I'm Clemont, the Gym Leader!" Clemont said.
"Code recognized. Master Battle Mode activated," Clembot said.
"Alright!" Clemont said.
"Knew you'd figure it out," Sora said.
"Now, you gotta battle Clembot to get your Gym back," Serena said.
Both Clemont and the robot got into position for the battle. Clemont took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Helioptile!" Clemont called out. Helioptile came on out to battle.
"Then, I will use this Pokémon!" Clembot said, turning it into a shooter arm. He fires a Pokéball out of it, and a Heliolisk came on out.
"Helioptile versus Heliolisk. It's going to be tricky," Aqua said.
"Especially when Heliolisk has the advantage since it's the evolved form," Riku said.
"Heliolisk, you look great!" Clemont said. Heliolisk was pleased to see Clemont again. "Now, Heliolisk, come at me with everything you've got!" Heliolisk nodded as it got ready to battle against its own trainer.
"Heliolisk! Thunderbolt!" Clembot ordered. Heliolisk fired Thunderbolt right at Helioptile.
"Clembot's starting off with Thunderbolt; and that's what I programmed him to do," Clemont said. "Helioptile! Dodge it!" Helioptile dodges Heliolisk's Thunderbolt. "Use Pound!"
"Use Dragon Tail!" Clembot ordered.
Both Pokémon came at each other. Helioptile dodged and lands a Pound onto Heliolisk.
"Nice one!" Ventus said.
"Helioptile! Use Dig!" Clemont ordered. Helioptile dug into the ground.
"Use Bulldoze!" Clembot ordered. Clemont was stunned to hear what Clembot told Heliolisk to use. Heliolisk stomps on the ground, forcing Helioptile out of the ground.
"Clemont never taught Heliolisk that move!" Bonnie said.
"That robot must have taught it to Heliolisk while you were gone," Naminé said.
"That robot is way smarter than Clemont thought he programmed," Sora said.
"Use Dragon Tail!" Clembot ordered. Heliolisk came at Helioptile with Dragon Tail, landing a hit. Helioptile lands on the ground.
"You okay, Helioptile?" Clemont asked.
"Helio," Helioptile answered.
"Clembot teaching Heliolisk to use Bulldoze is very surprising to me. But, Clembot's not the only one with a surprise," Clemont said in his thoughts. He ordered, "Helioptile! Use Double Team!" Helioptile uses Double Team to create several copies of himself. "Use Thunder Shock!" Helioptile prepared to use Thunder Shock.
"Use Parabolic Charge!" Clembot ordered. Heliolisk unleashed Parabolic Charge all around, striking all of the targets, making the duplicates disappear.
"What kind of move is that?" Serena asked.
"It's Parabolic Charge. It strikes all of the targets, and heals itself at the exact same time," Riku explained. Heliolisk healed itself of its last injuries. Helioptile got back up on his feet.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Clembot ordered. Heliolisk unleashed Thunderbolt right at the generator Pokémon.
"Use Dig!" Clemont ordered. Helioptile dug underground to avoid Thunderbolt.
"Not Dig again!" Bonnie said.
"Helioptile will get hit with that just like before!" Serena said.
"Not quite," Sora said. They all looked at him. "Clemont must have something up his sleeve, I just know it."
"Use Bulldoze!" Clembot ordered.
"Just as I thought! Use Double Team while underground!" Clemont ordered. Heliolisk unleashed Bulldoze, but several Helioptile are forced right out of the ground, much to the surprise to everyone watching.
"Look at that!" Armadillomon exclaimed.
"So many Helioptile, Heliolisk is gonna have a hard time telling, which is which!" Meowth said.
"Not unless Heliolisk uses Parabolic Charge again!" Riku said.
"Way to be a ray of hope, Riku," Gomamon said.
"Parabolic Charge!" Clembot ordered. Heliolisk unleashed Parabolic Charge once again, striking all of the Helioptile, making them disappear.
"Helioptile," Bonnie said worriedly.
"Wait, all of them just vanished," Tentomon pointed out.
"Tentomon's right; I don't see the original anywhere," Hawkmon added.
"I think I have a good idea where he is," Sora said, looking at the hole.
And he was right, because the original Helioptile was digging underneath the battlefield. Dig and Double Team made the perfect distraction. Clemont grinned as Helioptile lands a hit with Dig.
"Error, error!" Clembot said.
"Let's finish this up," Clemont said, adjusting his glasses. "Helioptile! Thunder Shock! Make it your strongest one!" Helioptile unleashed the strongest Thunder Shock he could unleash. Helioptile is struck hard, and taken down at last.
"Clemont won!" Bonnie cheered.
"Way to go, Clemont!" Ventus added.
"Excellent job, Helioptile," Clemont said. He ran up to Heliolisk. "Are you okay, Heliolisk?"
"Heliolisk," Heliolisk responded in a forgiving tone.
"Thank goodness," Clemont said as Clembot approached him.
"I recognize you, sir. Welcome back to the Lumiose City Gym," Clembot said.
"It's good to be back, Clembot," Clemont said, standing up. "Because I gave you such faulty programming, I caused some trouble for you, too. It's all my fault. I'm sorry." Clembot didn't seem to understand. "I think I'll begin on your reprogramming right now." He began to reprogram Clembot. "First rule: be modest. It doesn't matter how Gym Badges the challenger has. Second rule: be kind, even you're being tough. And don't forget to give the challenger constructive advice after the battle. And the third rule: be thoughtful. Try to help challengers grow their skills. These are rules every Gym Leader needs to follow." He finished reprogramming Clembot. "I've learned so much from all of you, and I want to keep on learning. Right, Clembot?"
"Well put, sir," Clembot agreed.
Just then, Terra and Thor came through the doors.
"Is everything good now?" Terra asked.
"Yeah, everything's good, Terra," Aqua said. "Wouldn't you agree, Clembot?"
"I do agree, Aqua," Clembot said.
Clemont smiled, but then he became serious as he knew what he had to do next. The group went to Meyer's shop, and Clemont explained to his father about the situation.
"WHAT?! YOUR ROBOT KICKED YOU OUT OF OWN GYM?!" Meyer yelled from inside the shop.
"Daddy, wait until you hear the end of the story," Bonnie said.
"That's how it was before, but it's alright now. It's okay to leave Clembot to run the Gym," Clemont said.
"I suppose you're right. So, does that mean you'll be coming by the house more often?" Meyer asked.
"Visit? Well, the thing is... um..." Clemont said.
"Is there some sort of problem?" Meyer asked, in a stern manner.
"Kinda," Clemont answered.
"Just tell him, Clemont, now," Bonnie said.
"Right," Clemont said. He took a big breath. "The thing is, I'm going on a journey. Since I first met Sora and the others, I have started to gain the courage that I have been lacking," Clemont said.
"Courage, huh?" Meyer asked.
"That's right. Even though I have known them for a such a short time, things have been getting different for me. At first, I was afraid of trying new things. I have been having fun with Sora, Karen, Kairi, Terra, Aqua, Ventus, their Pokémon, and the Digimon. Even if it's until Sora gets to the Kalos Pokémon League, I wanna keep on learning by traveling with him," Clemont said.
"Daddy, I wanna travel with Sora, Clemont, and Ven and their friends, too," Bonnie said.
"Denne, ne," Dedenne said. Meyer said nothing.
"Dad?" Clemont asked.
"Please, daddy? Pretty please?" Bonnie asked.
"We'll watch over Bonnie, sir," Kairi said.
"You have our word, sir," Karen said.
"I promise you, too," Ventus said.
"We will do everything we can to protect them," Agumon said as the other Digimon agreed.
"We all promise," Sora said.
"I give you my word that I will take good care of the Gym, and help out with the house as well," Clembot pitched in.
"I'm just so... I'm just so... I'm just so..." Meyer paused before his eyes filled with tears of pride. "I'M JUST PROUD AND HAPPY OF YOU BOTH!" He embraced his two kids happily. "It's always to have such great kids. I know I've told you this before, but the most important thing is to have real friends. As long as you have great friends like Sora, Kairi, Karen, Terra, Aqua, Ventus, Riku, and Naminé, I'm not worried about a thing." Everyone's faces all lit up.
"Yay!" Meowth and the Digimon all said.
"Alright, you can go!" Meyer said.
"Thanks, dad!" Clemont said.
"I love you, daddy!" Bonnie said.
"I love you, too," Meyer said.
"I want all of you to look after these two, and keep them out of trouble," Meyer said.
"We will, Meyer," Sora said.
With that said, they started to celebrate Clemont and Bonnie's journey with a good meal. And this is where we will cut it short for right now. More will come soon enough. Until then.
