Episode 547: Dreams and Nightmares Never Die
A couple of days have passed since the Poké Puff contest has concluded, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon continued on their way towards Shalour City.
Along the way, the group crossed paths with a young couple in their teens. The teens happens to be Will and Helen. They recognized both Sora and Kairi.
"You're Sora Ketchum, aren't you? The Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova," Will said.
"And you're Kairi. You're the first Top Coordinator of the Unova region," Helen said.
"Yeah," Sora said.
"Wait a sec, I know you. You're William Taylor. You're a big shot soccer player," Terra said.
"And you're Helen Cartwright. You're a talented violinist, and singer," Aqua added.
"How do you know them?" Clemont asked.
"Those two have made number four in the top ten Pokémon trainer couples by the reader's votes," Aqua said.
"If those two made number four in top ten, who made number one?" Bonnie asked.
"That would be Sora and Kairi," Aqua said. Sora and Kairi were surprised to hear this bit of news.
"How do we not know that?" Sora and Kairi both asked in unison.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Pi," Blossom laughed.
"Sora, I was wondering if we could have a battle with other. Make it three-on-three," Will suggested.
"Okay, William," Sora said.
"Call me Will," Will said.
"Okay, I'll do that, Will," Sora said.
Sora and Will got ready for their battle. Will took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"You're up first, Hitmontop!" Will called out. His Hitmontop came out spinning like a top. Hitmontop gets on his feet. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go right in, Fletchling!" Sora called out. Fletchling came right out to battle.
"Yes, a Flying Type should be a good match up against a Fighting Type Pokémon like Hitmontop," Clemont said.
"You can have the first move, Sora," Will said.
"Thanks, Will. Fletchling! Use Steel Wing!" Sora ordered. Fletchling came right at Hitmontop with Steel Wing.
"Use Detect!" Will ordered. Hitmontop's eyes glow light blue for a moment, and he dodges Steel Wing. "Use Mega Kick!" Hitmontop jumps and lands a kick onto Fletchling. The tiny robin Pokémon was falling towards the ground, but regained his posture.
"Fletchling! Use Aerial Ace!" Sora ordered. Fletchling dashed right at Hitmontop, landing a hit. Fletchling then started to evolve. Fletchling was now a Fletchinder.
"Fletchling evolved!" Ventus and Bonnie cheered.
"That could mean Fletchinder is a Fire Type. And he now knows Fire Type moves," Gabumon said.
"Fletchinder! Use Ember!" Sora ordered. Fletchinder fired Ember right at Hitmontop.
"Use Detect!" Will ordered. Hitmontop uses Detect to dodge Fletchinder's Ember. Sora smirked.
"Flame Charge!" Sora ordered. Fletchinder flew at Hitmontop, landing a hit onto Hitmontop and building up his speed.
"Not only that Fletchinder is stronger because of evolving, but faster because of Flame Charge. He's even better than I thought," Will said in his thoughts.
"Fletchinder! Use Flame Charge again!" Sora ordered. Fletchinder flew right at Hitmontop again.
"Detect!" Will ordered. Hitmontop manages to dodge Flame Charge again. "Use Rolling Kick!" Hitmontop came at Fletchinder with Rolling Kick.
"Dodge and use Aerial Ace!" Sora ordered. Fletchinder came at Hitmontop with Aerial Ace, landing a heavy hit. "Use Steel Wing to finish him off!" Fletchinder lands a hit with Steel Wing. Hitmontop was down for the count. Will called Hitmontop back and smiled.
"Great job, Hitmontop. You deserve a good long rest," Will said. Fletchinder flew back to Sora as he lands on his shoulder.
"Great job, Fletchinder. I had no idea how close you were at evolving," Sora said.
"Fletchinder," the ember Pokémon chirped. He took out his Pokéball and called Fletchinder back inside.
"You earned a good rest," Sora said. Will took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Hitmonlee!" Will called out. Hitmonlee came out with a series of kicks in the air. Sora took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn, Chespin!" Sora called out. Chespin came on out to battle.
"Hitmonlee! Use Blaze Kick!" Will ordered. Hitmonlee came right at the spiny nut Pokémon with a fiery kick.
"Dodge and use Tackle!" Sora ordered. Chespin tried to dodge, but Hitmonlee came too fast, and he lands a kick onto Chespin. "Great! Use Jump Kick!" Hitmonlee jumped in the air, and came down right at Chespin.
"Dodge it, Chespin!" Sora called out. Chespin dodged out of the way before Hitmonlee could land a kick onto Chespin. Hitmonlee crashed, causing some damage.
"You okay, Hitmonlee?" Will asked. Hitmonlee turned and nods. "Can you still keep going?" Hitmonlee nods. "Great! Use Blaze Kick!" Hitmonlee comes at Chespin with another Blaze Kick.
"Chespin! Use Seed Bomb!" Sora ordered. Chespin fired Seed Bomb at Hitmonlee, and he got hit by the seed attack. "Use Vine Whip!" Chespin smacked Hitmonlee with Vine Whip repeatedly.
"Hitmonlee! Use Low Sweep!" Will ordered. Hitmonlee gave Chespin a strong kick, and sends him flying. Chespin has been knocked out. Sora called back Chespin.
"Get some rest, Chespin. You battled enough for today," Sora said. He puts Chespin's Pokéball away, and he looked at Will as he praises his Hitmonlee.
"That was awesome, Hitmonlee!" Will exclaimed with glee. "That Low Sweep was the best!"
"Monlee!" Hitmonlee said. Will took out Hitmonlee's Pokéball.
"Don't overdo it. Get some rest," Will said, calling Hitmonlee back. He looked right at Sora. "How was that?"
"That was great, Will! You raised Hitmonlee right! It's no wonder his kicks are awesome!" Sora said, making Will smile.
"Thanks!" Will said. He took out one more Pokéball and held it. "Now, the next win decides the match!" He threw it. "Go! Cinderace!" His Pokéball opened and Cinderace came right out.
"A Cinderace," Sora said.
"I never seen a Cinderace before," Clemont said.
"So cool!" Bonnie said.
"I knew Will was saving Cinderace for last," Helen said with a smile.
"You seem to know your boyfriend well," Kairi said.
"I do. Cinderace has been his partner since those two first met," Helen said. "I could never forget what a cute Scorbunny he was."
"Cinderace and I have been through a whole lot. Cinderace is my number one partner," Will said.
"Then the one I'm going with is Pikachu," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said, stepping in.
"And you said it yourself, the next decides the match," Sora said.
"Okay, you ready to rumble, Cinderace?" Will asked.
"Cinder!" Cinderace said.
"Okay, Pikachu, be ready!" Sora said.
"Chu!" Pikachu said.
"Cinderace! Use Mega Kick!" Will ordered. Cinderace came right at Pikachu with Mega Kick.
"Dodge with Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran with his speed attack.
"Use Agility!" Will ordered. Cinderace moves fast and manages to dodge Pikachu's Quick Attack. "Use Mega Kick!" Cinderace lands a kick onto Pikachu. "Use Pyro Ball!" Cinderace repeatedly kicks a rock, igniting it into a flaming soccer ball. He then kicks the fire ball, launching it at the mouse Pokémon.
"Use Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu swings his tail like a baseball bat, sending the ball of fire back to its owner.
"Mega Kick!" Will ordered. Cinderace kicked the ball, blocking it completely. "Not bad, using Cinderace's own attack against him."
"Thanks. That block was mighty impressive," Sora said.
"Okay, Cinderace! Use Flamethrower!" Will ordered. Cinderace fired Flamethrower right at Pikachu.
"Use Quick Attack to dodge!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran across the battlefield, dodging Flamethrower. "Use Iron Tail!" Pikachu jumped and swung his tail around.
"Use Mega Kick!" Will ordered.
Both Pokémon got into a clash. They both held on, gritting their teeth. The clash ends in a draw as both were now getting exhausted.
"Use Pyro Ball!" Will ordered. Cinderace repeatedly kicks a rock, igniting it into a flaming soccer ball. He then kicks the fire ball, launching it at Pikachu again.
"Use Electro Web!" Sora ordered. Pikachu forms a web of electricity and uses it to block Pyro Ball; the electrified web sends the fireball back at the striker Pokémon. It came too fast for Cinderace to block or dodge, so he took the hit of his own attack. Cinderace was down, but not out.
"Cinderace! Use Mega Kick!" Will ordered. Cinderace came at Pikachu again.
"Quick Attack to dodge, and then use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dodges Cinderace's attack, and then gave him a hit with Thunderbolt. Cinderace was now down for the count. Sora has won.
"Cinderace! No!" Will exclaimed, rushing to his partner. "Cinderace, you okay?"
"Ace," Cinderace replied weakly.
"Don't apologize, Cinderace. You always do your best. That has never changed," Will said.
"Cinder," Cinderace said. Sora and Pikachu walked up to the two of them.
"You did great, Will," Sora said.
"Thanks. It's no wonder you're a Pokémon League Champion," Will said.
"It's not a really a big deal, Will," Sora said.
"I would like to battle you again, if that's okay with you," Will said. Sora smiled.
"I don't know why it wouldn't be," Sora said. Both trainers shook hands, knowing a new rivalry was forged.
Meanwhile, the Brotherhood of Darkness were having a meeting to discuss what to do with Sora and SMASH.
"Okay, any ideas on what to do?" Bowser asked.
"If only we knew how to strike," Risky Boots said.
"And what are Team Shadow doing about it? All they've been doing lately is just sit on their rumps, twiddling their thumbs," King K. Rool said.
"May I have a suggestion?" Wizeman asked.
"What do you have in mind?" Ganondorf asked, interested into what he has planned.
"If this child is as dangerous as you say, then I suggest I deal with him into my dominion; the realm of dreams," Wizeman said.
"What do you plan to do? Give him a really bad dream?" Bowser asked, sarcastically.
"Precisely," Wizeman replied. "That is the one place no one will help him, not even his friends."
"Ask a dumb question," Bowser grumbled.
"Sounds like a great idea," a new voice spoke. It belonged to a vampire woman, wearing a red dress, with a pink skirt. She wore red leggings. She has red eyes, and brown hair. "The realm of dreams shall be the perfect place to attack."
"Indeed it would be, Carmilla. Not only that, but that traitorous creation of mine, Nights will surely come when they try to help him," Wizeman said.
"So, attacking him in his sleep, to lure your failed creation is quite a trap. With the brat gone, taking this world will be such a wrap," Gruntilda said.
"Don't get ahead of yourself, Grunty," Risky Boots said. "We still have those other good guys to deal with."
"Agreed. Even with two of our enemies eliminated, we still have the rest to deal with. We mustn't be careless," Ganondorf said. He turned to Wizeman. "I wish you luck in your mission, Wizeman." With that said, Wizeman disappeared and then appeared into his domain.
"Reala," Wizeman called.
Appearing before him is a being who resembles Nights, but the only difference was his colors are red and black. He wore a gold mask with a pink jewel, and black feathers on the side. His vest is closed over his chest and has a flame/swirl pattern. He wore red arm guards and hip-plates, which both have a flame-like design on them and gold trim. He also wore dark brown fingerless gloves and dark brown bandages on his wrists. He also wore dark red boots with some bright red flame patterns and a single bright red stripe interspaced in the middle of the boots. His hat has dark red stripes. He also wore dark brown bandages on his legs, although they are mostly concealed by his boots. He also, for some reason, has pale pink nails and a pink ruff on his neck.
"You summoned me, Master Wizeman?" Reala asked, bowing to his master and creator.
"I did, Reala. I have a task for you," Wizeman said.
"How may I serve you, Master?" Reala asked.
"There is a human boy with a power that rivals that of the Ideya. He poses a threat to the Nightmarens, so I want you to capture him, and throw him into the Dark Ocean," Wizeman ordered.
"I shall do as you say, Master, but may I ask what is this power you speak of?" Reala asked.
"The human boy is known as an Aura User. The power of Ideya is nothing compared to him. He cannot be allowed to exist any longer," Wizeman said.
"If that is what you wish, Master Wizeman," Reala said.
"And it will certainly draw the attention of your twin, Nights," Wizeman said. Reala clutched his fist at the mention of his twin.
"Do you wish for Nights to be captured as well, Master? I will personally deliver him to you, for you to punish Nights for their disloyalty," Reala said.
"Very well, Reala," Wizeman said.
"In the meantime, I will gather a handful of our best Nightmarens for the task, Master Wizeman," Reala said.
"Do not fail me, Reala," Wizeman said.
Reala took his leave of his master, and sets out to find the best Nightmarens he could find. He sought out a humanoid chameleon wizard. He sports the four shapes of the four playing card suites (hearts, clubs, diamonds, and spades) on his colorful tuxedo and hat.
"Reala? What brings you here?" The chameleon asked.
"We have a pressing matter to attend to, Chamelan. Master Wizaman commands us to capture a visitor and the traitor, Nights," Reala said.
"If that's what he wants," Chamelan said.
A little later, Reala sought out a balloon clown. He has a four-tailed blue jester hat with red bells, with a pink jewel on his forehead, purple glowing eyes, under which is scar-themed makeup. He also has a red nose and purple skin with thick, grinning lips. There are feathers and a Jacobean ruff around his neck, with his ensemble ending in a waistcoat. His arms are very long and thin wires, ending with white gloves and long, thin, spiky fingers.
"Reala, you never call, you never write," the balloon clown said.
"Spare me the jokes, Donbalon. Master Wizeman is sending us on an important task," Reala said. Donbalon laughs.
Back in the real world, Will and Helen joins Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon for some dinner. Will has sent out Cinderace, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Blaziken, Staraptor, and Greninja as Helen has let out Primarina, Kricketune, Sunflora, Chatot, Ludicolo, Maractus along with Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Fletchinder, Honedge, Vulpix, Kairi's Dedenne, the elegant Vivillon, Pumpkaboo, and Amaura. They were eating the Pokémon food Kairi had recently made.
"Does that taste good?" Helen asked. Helen's Pokémon all beamed at the taste of the food.
"Pri," Primarina said.
"I'll take that for a yes," Will said. "Thanks for letting us hang with you for a while."
"You're welcome," Kairi said.
"We take it that you're heading for Shalour City, too?" Terra asked.
"Yeah. Just earning a Gym Badge there. Same as Sora," Will said.
"How many Badges did you win?" Ventus asked.
"Just two," Will said.
"Will tried to get in the Lumiose City Gym before, but that robot kicked him out for some reason," Helen said. Clemont chuckled nervously.
"Um, I thought you would like to know that robot isn't like that anymore," Clemont said.
"Yeah? How do you know?" Will asked.
"Clemont fixed Clembot right up," Bonnie said.
"Bonnie!" Clemont said.
"Clembot?" Helen asked. Clemont asked.
"You might as well know. I'm the actual Gym Leader. Clembot was built just so help me out. Things got out of hand, so I repaired him after I retook my Gym," Clemont said. "Sorry about that."
"That's okay," Will said. "I'm glad you got your Gym back." Clemont was glad Will didn't hold it against him.
A little later, the group had their dinner. A series of stories went around as Will and Helen heard so much about their past adventures.
"They're really nice," Helen said.
"Yeah," Will agreed. "What will make it even nicer is you can play that song for me. I have always liked it when you play it." Helen smiled.
"Alright," Helen said, taking out her violin. She started to play her violin. It was the same song Nights played on their invisible flute. Sora and Kairi recognized the song being played. They knew it was Nights who played it before, but how would anyone else know it, they wondered. They went up to Will and Helen. Helen continued to play as Will was smiling and tears filled his eyes. Helen's eyes filled with tears as well. Sora and Kairi didn't want to interrupt, so they waited until Helen was finished playing. Bonnie liked the music being played. It sounded pretty to her.
Once Helen has finished playing, they noticed Sora and Kairi standing there.
"You been there long?" Will asked.
"Where did you hear that song before?" Sora asked.
"Um, I learned it from somewhere," Helen said.
"We heard someone else play it before," Sora said. This surprised Will and Helen.
"Who else knows about it?" Will asked.
"Would you know someone who would go by the name of Nights?" Sora asked. Will and Helen were shocked to hear his name.
"Nights?!" Will and Helen exclaimed.
"How do you know Nights?" Will asked.
"I could ask you the same thing," Sora said. He accessed his S-Pod. He made contact with the SMASH Tower. "Think you can send Nights down?"
"Sure," Alia replied.
Suddenly, Nights appeared before everyone. Will and Helen were awestruck and surprised to see their old friend again.
"Will, Helen, it's been a long time," Nights said.
"Nights! You're alive!" Will exclaimed.
"I don't believe it! I never thought I would see you again! I never thought I would see you in the real world!" Helen said.
"How do you know each other?" Sora asked.
"I would be glad to explain, Sora. I met Will and Helen a long time ago. They arrived in Nightopia, and helped defeat Wizeman the Wicked. I used my power to seal him up, but it seems my power wasn't enough to hold him enough, but he was weakened," Nights explained.
"That sums it up," Sora said.
"How did you get here, Nights?" Will asked.
"A visitor named Red came to Nightopia and told me what was at stake, so I joined up with other beings from different universes. I fought the Decepticons with the Autobots," Nights explained.
"You were here when the Autobots were here? Why didn't you contact us?" Helen asked.
"Too busy protecting the world. The same went for the rest of the worlds," Nights said. "So, I became a member of SMASH. I was enjoying the view from the SMASH Tower. Oh, Minato and the rest of SEES said hi."
Everyone were getting ready for bed, getting wanting to get an early start. Once everyone were fast asleep, they were drifting off into their dreams.
Unknown to them, Reala was expecting it to happen.
Inside of Sora's dream, Sora was back home in Pallet Town. He walked inside his house.
"I'm home!" Sora called out.
"Welcome back," Kairi's voice answered. This confused Sora.
"Kairi?" Sora asked.
"Who else?" Kairi asked, walking in, wearing an apron. It struck him that the two were husband and wife. "Now, wash up. Dinner will be ready soon."
"Okay," Sora said, not wanting to question it. He soon found himself on the kitchen table, ready to eat the food Kairi had provided for them both. Just when he was about to chow down, everything around him disappears. Darkness engulfs everything. "Hey, what's going on here?" He started to fall. Solid ground appeared below him, and he fell on his back. "Hey, what was that about? Kairi, where are you?" Just then, several figures appeared in the shadows. Sora couldn't recognize them, but then they started to take shape. One of the figures took the form of Pokémon Hunter J. She evilly smirked at him. "J? You're dead!"
"And it's your fault!" J said.
Two more shadows took the forms of Myotismon and AxeKnightmon. They laughed evilly.
"No way! Myotismon? AxeKnightmon? Agumon and the others destroyed you!" Sora exclaimed.
"Crimson Lightning!" Myotismon shouted, sending the whip of blood at him. Sora ducked when AxeKnightmon tried to strike him down. Just then, the figures took the shapes of many of his old enemies; this included Cassidy, Butch, Attilla, Hun, and even Giovanni as well.
"Team Rocket?" Sora asked.
The Team Rocket members all laughed as the figures took the forms of N. Tropy and his female counterpart. Sora tried to get away, but they just kept on coming.
"You can run," Cassidy said.
"But you can't hide," Butch added.
Back to Sora, sleeping, he began to toss and turn in his sleep. His expression changed from happy to disturbed.
Kairi on the other hand, she was sleeping happily. Her dreams involved the two of them getting married, living her storybook fantasy. Just about everyone she knew were there. Just when Kairi was moving to kiss her husband-to-be, he disappeared.
"Sora, where are you?" Kairi asked.
Everyone else disappeared as well. Her family especially vanished, much to her dismay.
"You're all alone," a voice spoke.
"Who are you?" Kairi asked. She got her answer when the figure of Jakira appeared before.
"Jakira? You're dead!" Kairi exclaimed.
"And it's their fault that I am!" Jakira said sadisticly. "Now, they're going to suffer for it!" He grew to giant-size and grabbed Kairi. He puts her in a cage. Jakira's laughter echos as the Pokémon Hunters who kidnapped her laughed along with him. Kairi was paralyzed with fear.
"Sora, help me!" Kairi pleaded.
Outside, Kairi tossed and turned, same as Sora. Pikachu and Angel were hearing their trainers, and they knew something was wrong.
Over to Nights, he was looking up to the night sky when he suddenly felt something. He followed it to its source. It was when he looked at Sora and Kairi. He knew what was causing it.
"Nightmarens," Nights said. He enters Kairi's dream. Kairi was about to be tossed into a sea of darkness by Jakira. He dropped the cage, making her scream. Nights appeared before her. "Kairi, take my hand!" Kairi quickly grabbed his hand, and he flew her out just before the cage hits the dark void. "That was close."
"Thank you, Nights," Kairi said gratefully.
"It's the least I could do," Nights said.
Jakira and the Pokémon Hunters took the forms of black clouds with red eyes. They started to dash towards them, but Nights blew them away.
"What were they?" Kairi asked.
"Those are the Nightmarens. They're the minions of Wizeman the Wicked. It didn't take him long enough to make his move," Nights said. "But if he's doing this to you, then he's doing this to the others." Kairi gasped when she realized what it meant.
"Sora is in danger, too!" Kairi gasped. "We gotta help him!"
"And we will!" Nights said. A door appeared before them. "That door is our way into Sora's dream. Hurry!" Kairi and Nights rushed towards the door. Nights quickly opened the door before the Nightmarens could enter inside it. It was there Kairi saw so many dark figures she recognized.
"Giovanni?" Kairi exclaimed.
"You took away our perfect world!" A familiar voice exclaimed. It turns out to be Cyrus. "The world without spirit!"
"Cyrus?!" Kairi exclaimed.
"They're not who you think they are!" Nights said. "They're all Nightmarens in disguise!"
"Where's Sora?" Kairi asked.
"He's close," Reala said. Nights and Kairi turned to see Reala appearing before them. Donbalon and Chamelan appeared along with him. "Sadly, you will not be getting near him."
"Reala. I knew I would bump into you sooner or later," Nights said.
"I am not surprised you would know, Nights. Master Wizeman is very displeased when he heard you joined that band of heroes," Reala said.
"If this is his way of getting me back with Wizeman, then he should have tried a better trap than this," Nights said.
"Nights," Kairi said.
"Kairi, go to Sora! Now!" Nights said.
"Right!" Kairi said.
"Donbalon, Chamelan! Stop her!" Reala ordered. Donbalon and Chamelan rushes to stop her from getting close to Sora. Chamelan threw his playing cards at her. Kairi stopped when the cards made contact to the ground.
"Sora!" Kairi cried.
"You're not getting anywhere near him," Donbalon said, laughing. He stretched his arms to grab her, but suddenly, Gex came and gave him a karate kick.
"Hey-hey!" Gex said in a Krusty the Clown voice, and does his laugh.
"Gex?" Kairi asked.
"What trick is this?" Chamelan asked.
"Not any trick you're used to!" Minato said. He and the rest of SEES arrived with Mario, Luigi, and Kirby.
"Everyone. How did you get in here?" Kairi asked.
"Nights contacted the SMASH Tower and he filled us in," Luigi said.
"I doubt Wizeman was expecting us to drop in," Ken said.
"Poyo!" Kirby said.
"Kairi, go to Sora!" Mario said.
"Right," Kairi said. "And thank you!" Kairi said. Nights and Reala were fighting each other when Reala noticed Mario, Luigi, Kirby, Gex, and SEES in the dream realm.
"What?! How is this possible?!" Reala asked.
"What's the matter, Reala? Wasn't expecting me to call in some friends?" Nights asked.
"You dare do this to me?" Reala asked.
"I already know the other Nightmarens, so I thought I would introduce you to my friends," Nights said.
Nights and Reala continued their fight. Sora was still running for it when he was suddenly cornered.
"No!" Sora exclaimed. The last shadowy figure took the form of Valiant. He was ten feet tall, and he stood over Sora, laughing. He grabbed Sora. He struggled to get loose from his grip.
"This is the end of the line for you!" Valiant said, laughing evilly. "Time to die, Ketchum!"
"Sora!" Kairi shouted to her boyfriend. Her voice reached his ears. "Sora, that's not Valiant! None of them are the villains we dealt with in the past! They're Nightmarens!"
"Nightmaren?" Sora asked. His aura power kicked in when he saw the red eyes. "Valiant, isn't really here." He uses his aura power to break free of the fake Valiant's grip. He turned to Kairi.
"Damn you, brat!" The Nightmaren roared. He was about to crush Kairi, but Spyro came and charged through the Nightmaren, causing him to disappear.
"Sora!" Spyro shouted as Sora lands on his feet.
"Spyro, thanks," Sora said.
"Anytime," Spyro said.
The fight between Nights and Reala as the Kongs, Link, Scaler, Marth, Ness, Crash, the Mane Six, Lilac, Banjo, Kazooie, Yooka, Laylee, the Investigation Team, and the Phantom Thieves of Hearts arrived on the scene. Reala growled in anger.
"You're a real pain on my side, Nights!" Reala hissed.
"What's the matter, Reala? Is this more difficult than you expected?" Nights asked.
Over to Sora and Kairi, the fight with the Nightmarens continued on.
"I guess we should have known this would happen," Sora said.
"It can't be helped now," Kairi said.
"Hoo! It certainly can't," a new voice spoke. The couple turned to see a brown owl with a brown colored head, beige torso, yellow feet, purple eyes surrounded by white feathers, tiny glasses, a yellow beak and long brown eyebrows. He wears a blue outfit with a purple gem on the chest and a brown coat with with pink collar and yellow lines. "Even in one's dreams, there things we cannot control."
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Owl. A pleasure to make your acquaintance," Owl said.
"Right back at you, Owl," Kairi said.
"How did you find us?" Sora asked.
"I came looking for Nights to inform him, but Nightmarens began to show up, but to my surprise, I have spotted several beings not of Nightopia," Owl said.
"Looks like we got here just in time," Will said as he and Helen arrived.
"Will, Helen, what are you doing here?" Sora asked.
"We knew something was wrong, so we came here through our dreams," Helen said.
"We informed Clemont and the others when we explained the situation to them," Will said.
In the real world, Clemont was keeping track with a TV-like device.
"Okay, this should help us out," Clemont said.
"You sure this will work?" Karen asked with concern.
"I'm sure of it," Clemont assured. "We should be able to peek inside of their dreams, and everything." He manages to get it working. The group sees the fight going on inside.
"It works!" Agumon said.
"It's Sora and Kairi's dreams!" Biyomon said.
"Actually, it's Sora's dream," Clemont said. "Nights took Kairi from her dream."
"How did they get inside since they're not asleep?" Bonnie asked.
"They got in through a dimensional rift," Meowth said. "They can open up pretty much anywhere. It even works in dream worlds."
"I feel helpless having to stay out here when we could open one and go in," Agumon said.
"Don't feel bad, Agumon. They'll be okay," Ventus said.
"Ven's right. Sakkakumon couldn't stop him," Armadillomon said.
Back in Sora's dream, the Nightmarens tried to attack Sora and Kairi, but luckily, Sora fought back with his aura powers. They dissolved it made contact with them. The members of SMASH manages to defeat all of the Nightmarens except for Reala, Donbalon, and Chamelan.
"You've lost, Reala," Nights said.
"No, this cannot be!" Reala exclaimed. "I will not allow it to be so!"
"Look around. You're outnumbered," Will said. Reala growled in anger.
"It won't end here!" Reala snarled as he, Donbalon, and Chamelan disappeared.
"No, it won't," Nights said.
"Glad that's over," Sora said. He turned to his friends. "Thanks for the save, everyone."
"We would have been goners if you haven't shown up," Kairi said.
"We're just glad you're alright," Luigi said.
"It would have been a Nightmare on Elm Street thing for you," Gex said.
"I doubt Wizeman will give up after this," Nights said.
Speaking of which, Reala, Donbalon, and Chamelan bowed before Wizeman as he is with the Brotherhood of Darkness.
"Reala, you have failed me," Wizeman said, sounding disappointed.
"Forgive me, my master," Reala said. "I did not anticipate Nights to call upon reinforcements."
"Silence, Reala!" Wizeman commanded.
"Reala may have failed, but his failure only confirms our suspicions," Ganondorf said. "Our enemies are indeed working together."
"Then, we'll have to do something about it," the Dragon Master said.
"Well, the dream attack didn't work," Baron Dante said.
"No, it did not. But there will be other chances," Ganondorf said.
Back with the group, everyone were relieved to know Sora and Kairi were now okay.
"Looks like everything's alright now," Tentomon said.
"Yeah, and Clemont's inventions didn't explode for once," Ventus said. He spoke too soon when his dream machine explodes, catching him in it. "Spoke too soon?"
"You did, Ven," Terra and Aqua both said in unison.
"Now, let's get back to sleep," Meowth said, almost yawning.
"Great idea, because this made me even sleepier," Gomamon said.
With that said, everyone were to have some pleasant dreams for the night, unless the Nightmarens would make another attack, but a new adventure will start again when the sun comes up.
