This is my fourth story. I appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

Author's Note: I haven't read the books this is going purely off the games and movies so things will be different then you are expecting and I apologize for that.

Last Author's Note: Woohoo first review ever. Thank you so much to kyle77776 for the review. Don't worry now that I know someone enjoys my story i'll be pumping out chapters like crazy. Will be going through all the games even back to halo 1 with flashbacks etc. However the focus will be on my OC's Aala and the family so I'm sorry for those that wanted me to focus on the Master-Chief I just don't feel like I'm a good enough writer to do him justice. He's such a badass and I'm making him look like a child at this point. I could be wrong though and y'all like my interpretation of Master-Chief. Please let me know if you do or not. If you do I'll gladly get out of my comfort zone to make the story more better for y'all. Cheers and enjoy.

Chapter 6: Meeting The Niece's Girlfriend. (Awkward)

"Afraid we are going to have to give you an IOU on that welcome home party." Lasky said as the door opened up to John and Aala but before anymore could be said a white blur tackled Aala to the ground causing her to cry out in shock. Making John pull his assault rifle out and aim it at the white spartan who tackled his neice causing Lasky and the other Spartans securing the area and watching to laugh at Aala's plight.

"Welcome back ma'am" everyone but John shouted as they started crowding around Aala and Palmer who was still struggling to get up with Palmer's tight grip on her.

"I can't leave you alone for a second can I and you go gallivanting off into the unknown." Palmer said chokingly as she finally pulled away from Aala who chuckled painfully from Palmer's hug before taking her hand to get up and receiving pats on her shoulders from her spartan brothers and sisters.

"Sorry?" Aala said cheekyly as she rubbed the back of her helmet head to happy at having found her uncle to feel any remorse at worrying Palmer in the moment. It wasn't exactly her fault she got thrown from the pelican. Seeing that John was still to disturbed with what happened and still had his gun trained on Palmer she gently put her hand on the gun and pushed it to the floor. "Easy John, that's my Co and girlfriend your aiming at. She can be a ass but she's really nice once you get to know her." Aala said earning catcalls and whistles from the other Spartans and Palmer to smirk at them. "Shut up!" Aala shouted out embarrassed that everyone was always making fun of her relationship with Palmer.

Having enough of the games Palmer let out a sharp whistle and everyone straighten up and stopped messing around and continued watching the area for enemies. Walking over to a more relax John and Aala standing next to him she stood just below his nose and smirked cockily at him. "Hmm, I thought you be taller." She said as she looked the legend himself up and down.

"Sarah…" Aala and Lasky said at the same time in exasperation both shaking their heads at her ego. Walking over to John, Lasky held his hand out to him. "Good to see you again sir." Lasky said in relief and pride that he was still alive to see the spartan who saved him and his many friends on their secret training camp from the covenant.

"Likewise sir, what's the situation?" John asked as he got back into soldier mode causing a frown to cross both Lasky, Palmer and Aala's face at how fast he was ready to go back out into the action. Before more could be said however the radio from the pelican started cracking on with Captain Del Rios voice. "Commander! Radio's hot!" A marine yelled out as everyone walked over quickly to it. The door closing behind them as all the Spartans walked in. Kneeling down Lasky reached for the radio. "What frequency? What frequency Damn it!" Del Rio voice yelled out drawing a scowl from Aala and how bad a leader he was. "Infinity this is Commander Lasky. Pelican recon teams are down I repeat all birds are down! We've got numerous casualties and require immediate assistance over!" Lasky said to the radio trying to get his message to the Infinity and Captain Del Rio.

"Finally! Did you get the coordinates to the gravity well?" Del Rio said over the radio causing Aala to clench her fists tightly causing them to pop at the man's callousness over his own people dieing and not showing any emotion about it. When she got her hands on him he was so dead if not court martialed for throwing lives away unneedingly.

"Affirmative Sir but we are going to need a bus out here!" Lasky said in shock and concern over his men. Many of the Spartans and marines looked around uneasily at how their lives didn't mean shit to their Captain.

"Make it happen!" Del Rio's cold voice responded to Lasky causing everyone to shift uneasily and for a cold chill to run down Aala's back. Yeah… he was dead as soon as she got her eyes on him again. A brief cold silence echoed in the room before Cortana's voice broke it. "You were sent on a scouting run in the middle of an attack on the ship?" Cortana asked incredulously. Having never heard of such a tactic since she had been alive and absorbed all the human history. It was extremely arrogant and idiotic to say the least.

Sighing in exhaustion, frustration and pain at his orders. "The Captain thought Infinity could provide us cover and hold off the attack at the same time." Lasky responded looking away from everyone. Palmer walked up to his kneeled form. "Sir, we will never get the wounded back to the ship on foot." Palmer said sadly causing Lasky to look over at her in shock his mouth agape, closing and opening multiple times. With Aala nodding at her words and sadness at the truth of them.

Finally Lasky stood up with Palmer stepping back. A dermination building in Lasky's eyes. "I don't know if it's too soon to ask you for a favor… But we're going to run out of breathing room real quick. I don't suppose your any good at clearing room for LZs? Lasky asked hopefully and jokingly to John trying to raise the morale in the room but making Aala's eyes water that it was always her uncle that had to save the day.

"On occasion, I'll send out a all clear once the area is secure and cleared." John responded as if it was just another mission to wipe out another covenant armada. Causing Aala to step forward in anger. "You mean we will send out a all clear once the area is secured and cleared!" Aala said angrily at him. Making John take a step back in shock at her aggression. Lasky moved to say something but Palmer beat him to it. "Alright, just becareful out there a lot of lives are counting on the both of you." Palmer said understandingly drawing a grateful nod from Aala who took John's hand and pulled him out the door so they could start their mission to save everyone. "What was that about?" Lasky asked in confusion with many of the Spartans and marines wanting to know as well. "Just family drama." Palmer answered cryptically drawing many confused looks but a gasp from Lasky who pieced everything together. Seeing Palmer looking at him seriously he nodded his head at her letting her know he would keep their secret. Drawing a grateful look from her.

"So, what's this about Aala being your girlfriend? Finally giving up on me?" Lasky asked drawing chuckles from everyone and and embarrassed blush to Palmer's face. "What can I say? A woman has needs and I've always liked red heads." Palmer answered seductively causing many of the spartan males and marines to shift uncomfortable but making all the females laugh at them.

Blushing from the thought of two beautiful and strong women together. Lasky gave her a relieved and happy smile. "Well I'm glad you two found each other. Y'all are great together from everything I've seen." Lasky said making Palmer blush and everyone to give catcalls and whistles in agreement. The mood lighter knowing that their lives were safe thanks to a legend and one of their best Spartans.
