Episode 551: Sora and Kairi vs Will and Helen
A few short hours came since Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Will, Helen, Korrina, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, Lucario, the Digimon, Team Natsu, the Cooper Gang, Carmelita, and the Panda King all left Geosenge Town and started to head towards Pomace Mountain to meet with Mabel so Korrina can learn how to handle Mega Evolution.
The group made a stop to rest for a bit.
"Why are we stopping, Sora?" Lucy asked.
"Thought we could use a break, and maybe have train for a little bit," Sora said.
"Great idea, Sora," Korrina agreed. "I'll need to practice my Mega Evolution."
"I'm not sure that'll be a good idea, Korrina. You do remember what happened twice, don't you?" Kairi asked.
"Kairi's right. We don't want risk a chance for Mega Lucario to lose control like before," Aqua said.
"You'll never know when it's going to come in handy," Korrina said.
"She's right. There will be a time she'll have to learn how to use it, and soon," Karen said.
Just when everyone made a stop, a bunch of Swirlix appeared before the group and shot their treads at the group. Everyone all scattered.
"What's their deal?" Natsu asked.
"I think they're angered because this must be their territory," Terra said.
"That's no reason to shoot silk from their mouths!" Charla exclaimed.
"It smells just like cotton candy," Murray said. Kairi looked right at Angel.
"Go, Angel!" Kairi called out.
"Eevee!" Angel nodded as she stepped into battle.
"Swift!" Kairi ordered. The Swirlix are struck by the stars, making all but the biggest Swirlix retreat. That one Swirlix wasn't going to let a Swift attack scare it away that easily.
"That one didn't go anywhere," Korrina said.
"That one must be the ring leader, or it could be the strongest Swirlix," Terra said. The Swirlix started to come at Angel, and lands a hit.
"That's one strong Tackle," Ventus said.
"Angel! Use Headbutt!" Kairi ordered. Angel lands a Headbutt onto Swirlix. "Now, use Iron Tail!" Angel swings her tail and it struck Swirlix hard, dealing some heavy damage. Swirlix charges at Angel with a vengeance with another Tackle.
"It's charging in again?" Wendy asked.
"Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel dashed at Swirlix with lightning speed, landing a hit onto Swirlix. "Iron Tail!" Angel swings her tail, hitting Swirlix again. The cotton candy Pokémon goes down as Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it at Swirlix. Swirlix flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Swirlix with her. She chose to send Swirlix to Professor Oak's lab.
"What did we just see?" Gray asked.
"So, that's how it's done," Lucy said. "Weakening wild Pokémon in the wild, and then catch them when they're weakened enough." Lucy remembered being told that Pokémon trainers catches wild Pokémon when she and her guildmates first met Sora and Kairi.
"But where did it go?" Happy asked.
"To Professor Oak's lab," Sora said. "We can only carry six at a time, so when we catch more than six, the seventh one gets sent to where our Pokémon Boxes are set to."
"Only six? Bummer," Natsu said.
"They each had six when we first met them, come to think of it," Lucy said.
"A real six-pack," Happy said.
"Those Swirlix don't look like they're be coming back, so we should be okay," Clemont said.
"Dedenne," Dedenne said.
Sora and Kairi had let out their other Pokémon as Kairi started to feed them. Clemont has let out Helioptile and joined right in. The Fairy Tail wizards were looking at the Pokémon they each had. Natsu looked at Vulpix and Fennekin since they're Fire Type Pokémon.
"Those two foxes look like they've got some fire in their bellies," Natsu said.
"It's getting hot-hot-hot!" Happy said.
"They're both Fire Type Pokémon," Ventus said.
"How come that one has six tails while that one has only one?" Happy asked.
"Vulpix are born with those tails," Ventus said.
"Pikachu," Sparky said.
Fennekin finished eating, and then rushed over to Sora. She paws him, and gave a pleading sound.
"Okay, I'll brush your fur," Sora said. He grabbed his brush, and he started to brush her fur. Fennekin always liked it when Sora does it. "There, doesn't that feel nice, Fennekin?"
"Fen," Fennekin cooed.
As Sora brushed Fennekin's fur, Lucy was socializing with the Cooper Gang.
"You're kidding! You're a thief?" Lucy asked in shock.
"Master thief," Sly corrected the celestial wizard "So, you don't need to worry about a thing, because we're not going to rob you or anyone else here."
"Sora was skeptical about trusting us at first since, but we explained so he understood," Bentley said.
"He didn't judge us or anything," Murray said.
"And I'll have you know that we only steal from criminals," Sly said. "So, stealing from law-abiding people isn't challenging nor is it honorable."
"I never thought thieves had any honor," Lucy said.
"Trust me, Lucy, you're not the only one who thought that," Sly said.
"We've been through so much ever since we were kids in that orphanage. We took on many bad guys worldwide," Murray said.
"We're more than a team," Sly said. "We're a family." Lucy smiled as she understood the raccoon's meaning.
"I can see it," Lucy said. "You three look like a family since growing up since children. A better family than my dad." Sly looked at her.
"What do you mean, Lucy?" Sly asked. Lucy sighed.
"When I was a little girl, my dad and I weren't really that close; especially after my mom died. I grew up, feeling myself drifting apart from him. When I turned sixteen, I left the home I always knew and went off to join Fairy Tail. And that's how I met Natsu and Happy," Lucy said. "So, what's the deal between you and Carmelita?"
"Sly has a soft spot for her," Bentley deadpanned.
"It's just fun to play cops and robbers," Sly said. "We both bring out the best in each other. Personally, I think she enjoys it." Carmelita glared at him when she was cleaning her weapon.
"Sly enjoys it more," Murray said, laughing.
"Carmelita did help us out before. She helped defeat Clockwerk. She even smashed his Hate Chip into little pieces," Sly pointed out.
Over to Team Shadow HQ, Ganondorf sat in a desk as a Team Shadow peon entered the room.
"Yes?" Ganondorf asked.
"Master Mateus has requested your presence," the Team Shadow peon said.
"Inform him that I am on my way," Ganondorf said. The Team Shadow peon took his leave as Ganondorf stood up.
A few minutes later, Ganondorf stood before Mateus and the top members of Team Shadow. They all turned to see the warlock walking towards the table.
"Ganondorf, good of you to join us," Mateus said. "Now that he has arrived, we can begin." Ganondorf took his seat next to Dakim. "I trust the distribution of Malefic Pokémon is going smoothly."
"Smoothly isn't the word I would use if the international police weren't involved," Kuja said.
"They managed to shut down two of our Malefic Pokémon operations within a week," Golbez said.
"On top of that, several of our customers have retrieved their gifts as scheduled, sir," Ein said.
"Wonderful," Mateus said. "How goes the members of PHOP?"
"We have been able to elude them successfully, Master Mateus," Lovrina said.
"We have managed to cover our tracks, too," Exdeath said. "We slipped pass both PHOP and the international police."
"And what of the recent inter dimensional occurrence in Kalos? There is word that the squad sent there have failed to apprehend the figure," Mateus said. "Sora Ketchum and his friends were seen on the scene."
"He can never help himself from helping others, Master Mateus," Kefka said, laughing.
"Speaking of some inter dimensional, why is he even attending this meeting?" Jecht asked, pointing to Ganondorf. "He's not even supposed to be here!"
"I was simply invited to attend," Ganondorf said.
"We tried our hands with something inter dimensional, and that failed thanks to that Sora kid, and his meddlesome friends," Miror B said. "You get what I'm getting at, Golbez!"
"Perhaps," Golbez said. "We shouldn't dwell too much on our defeats in the past."
"You can laugh about it, Golbez, but don't forget, you had that Rydia there, and you could have finished her off!" Kuja said.
"Enough! He and the members of the Brotherhood of Darkness are part of Team Shadow. And I would like to announce if anyone has a problem with it, then they should feel free to come to my office, and I will discuss the matter personally with them. And inform them that I will not be understanding or forgiving towards them," Mateus said. Ganondorf grinned as Kuja just scowled. "Sora Ketchum isn't the only one to contend with. It's his other inter dimensional friends who are a threat as well, which is why I invited Ganondorf here. How goes the membership drive?"
"Smoothly, Master Mateus. Those who share our objectives have been invited to join our cause," Ganondorf said.
"Wonderful job, my friend," Mateus said. "I no doubt they are quite promising."
"Indeed," Ganondorf said.
Elsewhere in Team Shadow HQ, Bowser Jr and the Koopalings were in the mess hall, eating, and planning.
"We're heading to Kalos and we're going to find that spiky-haired dork, and his nerd squad!" Bowser Jr said.
"Yeah, we owe them big after what happened on Yoshi's Island," Roy said.
"And after they helped rescue Princess Peach before that," Bowser Jr said. "Kent C. Koopa and the rest have reported seeing those geeks somewhere around here." He points on the map. "They should be heading for that mountain. As soon as we're done eating, we head out. So, all of you better bring your magic wands."
"Right," the Koopalings all said.
Unknown to them, Shuji is listening on their meeting.
"Maybe, I should head down there myself and see our enemies, and see why Mateus is interested in that boy," Shuji said in his thoughts.
Aboard the SMASH Tower, Aigis Dat by herself, looking into the stars. A comet dashed by as she sighed. Sophia has noticed what Aigis is feeling, and she grinned.
"Stargazing, Aigis?" Sophia asked.
"Maybe," Aigis replied. Sophia walked up next to her.
"It seems unusual for a teenage girl to be looking at the stars with so much interest, but it's not the stars that have caught your eye, is it?" Sophia asked. Aigis looked right at her.
"And what if it isn't?" Aigis asked.
"Just as I thought. It's not the stars that caught your eye. Then, what is it? Hmm?" Sophia asked. Aigis didn't answer her. "You're thinking a lot about Minato, aren't you?" Aigis looked at her with a look that asked how she knew. "You don't need to say it, I caught on pretty quick."
"Yeah, maybe I am thinking about Minato, but I don't see how it's any of your business, Sophia!" Aigis exclaimed.
"Don't get all huffy, Aigis! All I did was notice, and I just thought I could have a friendly conversation with you; just between us girls. There are no boys around to listen in on us," Sophia said. Aigis rolled her eyes.
"If you're thinking that I'm gonna say sorry, but you're going to be disappointed. I'm not saying it," Aigis said. "Also, why are you prying?"
"I'm just curious," Sophia said.
"What if I told you that I should compare human women with artificial women?" Aigis asked.
"Would that have anything to do with what you're thinking?" Sophia asked.
"Maybe," Aigis said. "What if I were to tell you that I envy them?" Sophia stroked her chin.
"You envy human women? Interesting," Sophia said.
"Say, if I could land a kiss on a man's lips, and they could feel the sensation of another's lips against theirs, but I cannot," Aigis said.
"A kiss is a form of human affection," Sophia pointed out.
"I know. I've seen it before. And there is when human women eats something, they actually taste it. Sora and Kairi have made enough food for everyone, but I can't eat anything because I don't have what they have," Aigis said.
"And that is?" Sophia asked, already knowing what she's gonna say.
"A stomach," Aigis said.
"You envy human women for the fact they can feel and taste," Sophia said.
"And there's also more to it," Aigis admitted. "A human woman's body is flesh and tissue while my body is all machinery. A human woman can feel pleasure downwards when in their bed with a man, and I cannot, because I don't have what they have. As a result, I cannot reproduce like they can." Sophia has taken it all in as she understood what she meant. "Also, humans can grow old, while I remain young. The only thing that can grow old is my machinery while my face stays the same."
"You want to become human, don't you?" Sophia asked. Aigis looked at her. "Why else would you be thinking about it?"
"You're right. I wanna be human so I can be with Minato. I want what Sora and Kairi have," Aigis said.
"To be honest, I don't know how you can become human. I can't think of a single Persona that has the power to make it happen," Sophia said. "The same can be said for the Pokémon, though."
Aigis sighed as she turned back to the stars. She didn't say anything else as Sophia took her leave. She wishes she can be human like Kotone, Yukari and the other members of SEES.
Back in Kalos, Korrina was practicing with her Lucario. The Panda King volunteered to his sparring partner.
"Fiery Wheel!" The Panda King shouted. Lucario dodged.
"Use Bone Rush!" Korrina ordered. Lucario came at the Panda King with Bone Rush. The giant panda easily dodged from left to right. One of the bones came at him, but he grabbed the bone with his bare hand.
"Impressive," the Panda King said. "You have potential, but you lack discipline." Lucario came at him again. "You also lack control!" He pins Lucario down.
"Lucario!" Korrina gasped. Lucario gets back up after the Panda King lets Lucario go. "Are You okay?"
"Cario," Lucario answered.
"Don't sweat it. You did your best," Korrina said.
"Yet, your best didn't seem to cut it," the Panda King said.
"I'm trying," Korrina said.
"Maybe you just need the right demonstration," Sora said. Korrina turned to Sora, Kairi, Will, and Helen. They were watching the sparring closely. "And I think we came up with the perfect solution."
"What?" Korrina asked.
"We've been talking, and we decided to have a tag battle to help you learn just so you can have a good idea," Helen said.
"You sure?" Korrina asked.
"We weren't sure at first, but when Sora and Kairi convinced us, we decided to go along with their idea," Will said.
"I would like to see that," Korrina said.
With that said, everyone sat down as Sora and Kairi took out their Pokémon Boxes and exchanged Honedge and Dedenne for Gallade and Gardevoir. The two couples got into positions for their battle.
"A tag battle! So exciting!" Bonnie said.
"A tag battle between couples should be fun to watch. Right, Blossom?" Karen asked.
"Pikachu!" Blossom said.
"So, how does a tag battle work?" Wendy asked.
"How it works is two trainers a team. Each trainer uses one Pokémon each, so substitutions aren't permitted. And the couple that manages to beat the opposing team's Pokémon wins the battle," Clemont said.
"And how will it help Korrina?" Charla asked.
"Sora thought it should help Korrina learn how to Mega Evolve her Lucario and control it properly," Terra said.
"I have a feeling he might be right," Aqua said.
"Sora, Kairi! Go for it!" Agumon cheered.
"Aye, sir!" Happy exclaimed.
Sora and Kairi each took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Gallade!" Sora called out.
"Go! Gardevoir!" Kairi called out.
Both Gallade and Gardevoir both emerged from inside. Gallade's Mega Stone is in his bow tie. Gardevoir's Mega Stone is in one of her ribbons. Will and Helen each took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Cinderace!" Will called out.
"Go! Primarina!" Helen called out.
Cinderace came out kicking as Primarina came out like it was about to sing for an audience.
"Now that the battle's ready. How about we do this thing, Sora," Kairi suggested.
"You read my mind, Kairi," Sora said.
Sora and Kairi readied their Keystones and light shoots out at them. Gallade gave off a light blue glow as Gardevoir gave off a light green glow.
"Feel our power, let it course through you! Let it shine into your bodies, and unleash it with so much passion! We grant you the power of Mega Evolution!" Sora and Kairi both said in unison. Gardevoir has Mega Evolved into her Mega Evolved form. His entire body becomes white. Red plates emerge on his arms, the blue head crest is slightly longer, and the spikes on his head are elongated and gain two cape-like protrusions on the back, this giving him a knightly appearance.
"Mega Gallade," Ventus said with awe.
"And that's Mega Gardevoir," Bonnie said. "Like the one Diantha has."
"Wow, so cool," Lucy said.
"Gallade suits Sora perfectly," Erza said.
"Wow, that is amazing," Helen said.
"It sure is," Will agreed with his girlfriend. "Let's show them what we can do, Helen."
"Okay," Helen said, nodding. "Primarina! Use Sparkling Aria!" Primarina stands up on its tail and sings, forming an orb of water above its head. The song is the song Nights and Helen plays on their instruments. Primarina then throws the orb at evolved forms of Kirlia.
"Cinderace! Use Pyro Ball!" Will ordered. Cinderace repeatedly kicks a rock, igniting it into a flaming soccer ball. It then kicks the fire ball, launching it at their opponents.
"Mega Gardevoir! Use Psychic on that Sparkling Aria!" Kairi ordered.
"Gallade! You use Psychic on that Pyro Ball!" Sora ordered.
The Pokémon couple blocked their opponents' moves before they reached them. They sent the attacks right back at them.
"Cinderace! Mega Kick to block!" Will ordered.
"Primarina! Use Aqua Jet to dodge!" Helen ordered.
Cinderace uses Mega Kick to kick the ball of fire into the air. Primarina uses Aqua Jet to dodge the bubbles successfully.
"Nice!" Gray complimented.
"Cinderace! Use Flamethrower on Mega Gallade!" Will ordered.
"Primarina! Use Icy Wind on Mega Gardevoir!" Helen ordered.
Cinderace fires Flamethrower at Mega Gallade as Primarina fires Icy Wind at Mega Gardevoir.
"Mega Gallade! Use Night Slash to cut through that Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Mega Gallade complies and cuts through the flames like butter.
"Mega Gardevoir! Use Moonblast!" Kairi ordered. Mega Gardevoir builds up pink energy and fired it right at Primarina's Icy Wind. "Use Magical Leaf!" Mega Gardevoir unleashed Magical Leaf right at Primarina, landing a hit.
"Primarina!" Helen gasped.
"That was a good hit," Wendy said.
"Why didn't Primarina just dodge it?" Charla asked.
"Magical Leaf can't be dodged," Biyomon said.
"Can't be dodged?" Charla asked.
"Magical Leaf works just like Swift. Like Swift, Magical Leaf doesn't miss," Meowth said. "It works out when Gardevoir is covering for Gallade."
"What do you mean covering for Gallade?" Wendy asked.
"Primarina's a Fairy Type Pokémon just like Gardevoir, so Gallade is weak against Fairy Types since he's a Fighting Type Pokémon," Meowth said.
"Meowth, I'm curious about something," Wendy said.
"I get it. You wanna know how I can talk, and the other Pokémon can't, right?" Meowth asked.
"I have been curious about that, too. You're not an exceed like me or Happy, and you don't have aera magic just so you can fly, and if you did, you would have used it frequently," Charla said.
"I have no idea what you're talking about, but I can go with that," Meowth said.
"Cinderace! Use Blaze Kick!" Will ordered.
"Mega Gallade! Use Psycho Cut!" Sora ordered.
Cinderace came at Mega Gallade with Blaze Kick as Mega Gallade unleashed a psychic energy. Cinderace lands a kick, resulting in an explosion. Cinderace fell on its back.
"Cinderace!" Will exclaimed. Cinderace gets back up. "Good that you can still keep going, buddy!"
"Ace!" Cinderace said.
"Primarina! Use Hydro Pump!" Helen ordered. Primarina fired Hydro Pump right at Mega Gardevoir.
"Dodge and use Moonblast!" Kairi ordered. Mega Gardevoir dodges and fires Moonblast right at Primarina.
"Dazzling Gleam!" Helen ordered. Primarina uses Dazzling Gleam to block Mega Gardevoir's Moonblast, making a small explosion.
"A block from Helen," Palmon said.
"They can find a way around it," Tentomon said.
"Pyro Ball!" Will ordered.
"Use Sparkling Aria!" Helen ordered.
Both of Will and Helen's Pokémon unleashed their signature moves at their opponents.
"Psychic!" Sora and Kairi ordered. Mega Gallade and Mega Gardevoir blocked with Psychic, holding the fire and water attacks. "Send them back!" Mega Gallade and Mega Gardevoir sends their attacks back at Cinderace and Primarina, landing some heavy damage.
"Sora, Kairi, way to go!" Karen cheered.
"Pikachu!" Blossom cheered.
"Keep it up!" Ventus added.
"Pika, Pika, Pika!" Sparky added.
"Mega Gallade! Use Psycho Cut on Cinderace!" Sora ordered.
"Moonblast on Primarina!" Kairi ordered.
Mega Gallade and Mega Gardevoir launched their attacks right at their opponents. Both Cinderace and Primarina are struck by the attacks.
"Psychic!" Sora and Kairi both ordered. Mega Gardevoir and Mega Gallade lifted their opponents in the air and then tosses them around in the air and slammed them both on the ground, beaten. Sora and Kairi had win their tag battle.
"That was awesome," Korrina said. Korrina didn't take her eyes off the battle for a single second. She could see how Sora and Kairi were able to control Mega Evolution like it was no problem, and she knew she had to master it soon. Will and Helen helped Cinderace and Primarina up on their feet.
"You did your best, Cinderace," Will said.
"You too, Primarina," Helen said.
"That was a great battle," Sora said. "You gave it your all."
"Thanks, so did you," Helen said.
"We should battle again sometime," Sora said.
"Or maybe we could just go on a double date sometimes," Kairi said.
"We can do that the next time we're together," Helen said.
"Next time?" Sora asked.
"Right, Helen has to do a concert in Shalour City, so we'll be going off ahead," Will said.
"Well, if that's the case, then all we can say is, break a leg," Sora said.
"Thanks, Sora, Kairi," Helen said.
With that said, Will and Helen call back their fallen Pokémon, and began to make their way towards Shalour City, waving goodbye to the group. Sora and Kairi promised to say hi to Nights for them when they see him.
"Sora, Kairi, I want you to know that I was in awe with that battle you had. Watching you just makes me want to master Mega Evolution even more," Korrina said.
"You do remember what your grandfather said, don't you?" Erza asked.
"I do," Korrina answered. "It's not going to be easy, but I never did easy."
"Car," Lucario said.
"So, let's finish this task that my grandpa has given me," Korrina said.
"Right!" The group all said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Korrina, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, Lucario, the Digimon, Team Natsu, the Cooper Gang ,Carmelita, and the Panda King continued on their way to Pomace Mountain to meet with Mabel and master Mega Evolution. Will Korrina master its power or will she fail? Just wait and see.
