Episode 561: The Lost Tyrunt
A few days came and went since Clemont has reunited to Luxio, and earned his forgiveness. By that time, Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill have left the group for a little while as they all continued onward towards Courmarine City and promised to meet up at Lumiose City after Sora has earned his fourth Gym Badge.
As they made a stop, Kairi has come across a Flabébé with a red flower. Kairi could see how cute she really is. Kairi took out a Pokéball and tossed it.
"You're going in, Spritzee!" Kairi called out. Spritzee emerged from inside the Pokéball. "Spritzee! Use Fairy Wind!" Spritzee unleashed Fairy Wind and blew it right towards Flabébé. The single bloom Pokémon fought back with her own Fairy Wind. Flabébé charged at Spritzee with Tackle, landing a hit. "Spritzee! Use Psychic!" Spritzee grabbed Flabébé with Psychic and threw it down onto the ground. Flabébé tried to get back up, but Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. Flabébé flowed inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Spritzee with her. She chose to send Spritzee to Professor Oak's lab. "I got myself a Flabébé."
"Eevee, vee!" Angel cheered.
"Aye!" Happy said.
This surprises Kairi when the blue exceed flew right by her.
"Happy, what are you doing here?" Kairi asked.
"No reason. I am curious about all those things right there," Happy said, pointing to the Flabébé floating around. Most of them are red, yellow, and orange, while there are a few blue flowers. "They all have different colored flowers."
"Those would be Fairy Flowers. Those Pokémon are Flabébé. I heard that they're really cute, and I was right. All the Flabébé are all girls just like Tyrouge are all boys. When a Flabébé is born, they each go for a flower they like and cling onto it for their whole lives," Kairi said. "They choose from one of five colors: red, yellow, orange, blue, and white."
"I don't see any with the white flowers," Happy said.
"The Flabébé with the white flowers are the rarest ones. So, it's very difficult to find a Flabébé with a white flower," Kairi said. "But the colors follows up when they evolve into Floette, and then into Florges."
"So colorful, and so pretty," Happy said.
"I'll tell you something else, Happy," a familiar voice spoke. Kairi smiled to see Sora and Pikachu walking up. "There are certain trainers that has a favorite color to choose from them, so it might suit them. I always thought a Flabébé with a red flower would suit her best because of her red hair." That comment made Kairi blush at her boyfriend's compliment.
"You're very sweet, Sora," Kairi said. Sora smiled as Happy was about to tease them, but that just earned a death glare from Pikachu. Happy didn't want to get shocked again, so he backed down.
"I think I hear Charla calling. Coming," Happy said, flying back.
"How'd I do, Sora?" Kairi asked.
"We both know the answer, Kairi. You did great as always," Sora said.
"Did you mean what you said about a red flower Flabébé being a good fit because of my hair?" Kairi asked.
"Of course. Your hair is beautiful. It goes with your beautiful face," Sora said. Kairi smiled as she gave Sora a kiss on the lips. He kisses her back. Pikachu and Angel followed their trainers' examples with their own affections. Unknown to them, Karen, Blossom, Bonnie and Dedenne were all watching as they coo at the sight of their love in bloom.
"Ah, how romantic," Bonnie sighed in a swooning tone.
"Dedenne, ne, ne," Dedenne said with a blush.
"He took up more like my real dad than my real mom told me. I wonder if I'll have someone to love like my brothers does," Karen said, feeling happy for her brother.
"Pika," Blossom said. Blossom thought the same thing as her brother.
Karen and Blossom were both happy for their brothers, and wished they had their own sweethearts.
Sora and Kairi parted lips and smiled at each other.
A little later, Karen, Bonnie, Blossom, and Dedenne rejoined the group just to beat Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel back. Terriermon took notice.
"Where have you girls been?" Terriermon asked.
"Oh, nowhere in particular. Right, Bonnie?" Karen asked.
"Right," Bonnie said.
Both girls smiled as they giggled among themselves.
"Where's Clemont and the Fairy Tail wizards?" Karen asked.
"Clemont is working on a new invention and Meowth is giving him a paw," Gatomon said.
"Also, most of them went with Terra and Aqua to pick some berries, and Natsu is somewhere taking a nap," Armadillomon said. "He snores just like Sora."
"We can't wait for the others to get back, because we need to start talking about the two Digimon we met just a few days ago," Agumon started.
"Right. I don't remember seeing them in the Resistance at all," Gabumon said.
"Any idea who they are?" Karen asked.
"Pika, Pika," Blossom added.
"Wish we did," Lopmon said.
"First they show up and attack, and the next, they vanish like they weren't there," Gaomon said.
"It's gotta be a coincidence," Wormmon said.
"I don't think it was," Agumon said.
"What makes you so certain, Agumon?" Veemon asked.
"I'm with him. What does make you certain?" Patamon asked.
"Because someone's been following us for a while. And I think it was that guy in black," Agumon said. "I know because I've been smelling his scent ever since Professor Sycamore's summer camp. And I can bet my teeth Sora's been picking up on it, too."
"Okay, that's unsanitary, but I do agree," Hawkmon said. "Those two Digimon has to be in league with that hooded figure."
"Could they be friend or foe?" Biyomon asked.
"That's a fair question," Tentomon said, crossing his arms.
"And after a few days, we don't see him or those two in a while," Guilmon said.
"You said you don't remember seeing them in the Resistance," Karen pointed out. "If they aren't, could they be working for Myotismon or AxeKnightmon?" Bonnie shivered at the thought.
"If so, then they might not know that they've both been destroyed in the final battle on Mount Coronet," Palmon said.
"But they helped us out, so they're good guys, right?" Bonnie asked.
"Bonnie isn't wrong," Renamon said. "If their intention was to attack us, then they would have attacked us, and not our enemy."
"If you think they're saints, then why did they run off before we had a chance to talk to them?" Gomamon asked.
"They might have something to hide," Gaomon said.
"What are they hiding?" Lalamon asked.
"That's another good question," Tentomon said.
"Agumon, what do you think we should do?" Guilmon asked.
"I don't know. They might be friends in high places, or they could be enemies. Until we figure it out, we don't think about them as either," Agumon said.
Karen, Bonnie, Blossom, Dedenne, and the rest of the Digimon silently agreed with what Agumon said. They were curious about their intentions.
A little while later, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, the Digimon, and Team Natsu continued on their way Courmarine City and Sora's next Gym battle. They kept their eyes opened for any signs of unfriendly visitors.
Meanwhile over to Team Shadow HQ, the drill sargeant is running a batch of new recruits while driving a car. The drill sargeant is an insane man as you would see.
"You little pantywads think you're ready to play the enemy?" The drill sargeant asked as he laughed. "The enemy eats razor blades for breakfast! Run, you bunch of fuzzy-butted softies! Run, with your fancy sneakers with the bumps and valves and little lights in the back that can set off a seizure, but what do you care? I ran around the world in a pair of Jock Taylors, for the love of Pete!"
"Where did we get this guy from?" One of the new recruits asked. "And what the hell are Jock Taylors?!"
"I don't know but I don't think I wanna know!" Another recruit replied.
Mateus is standing above and watching the recruits and the drill sargeant driving in his car. Venus approached him from behind.
"How is it that you have that brute training the recruits in this matter?" Venus asked.
"Though I find his methods crude, but they are effective," Mateus said. He then gets a ring from his smartphone and he looked at it. "Excuse me, I need to take this." He heads back to his office and he stepped in. "Xande, something is amidst." Xande didn't say anything.
"How so?" Xande asked.
"I cannot sense the presence of the Crystals of Light and Darkness," Mateus said.
"How is it possible, mi'lord?" Xande asked.
"It isn't, unless someone has moved them. To confirm it, I want you to search the shrines for them, and return to me once your task is complete," Mateus said.
"As you command, your majesty," Xande said. He vanished from Mateus's office as a knock is heard.
"Enter," Mateus said. The door opened and a female Team Shadow peon entered.
"Master Mateus, the meeting is about to begin," the female Team Shadow peon said.
"Very well. Inform my top members I'll be there shortly," Mateus said.
"Yes, sir," the female Team Shadow peon said, taking her leave.
Back in Kalos, it was at a science facility at night. A truck is seen backing up as a pair of Pokémon hunters are stepping out.
"Keep the engine humming," one of the hunters said to the driver. They went inside and spotted a bunch of Tyrunt, sleeping soundly. They entered and managed to snag one of the Tyrunt in a cage. "Okay, that's one." Suddenly, a flashlight flashes on them.
"Hey!" A security guard shouted. This wakes up the rest of the Tyrunt. "What are you two doing in here?!"
"Balls!" The hunters shouted.
"We'll have to make due with the one we got!" The first hunter said.
"On it!" The second hunter said, pushing the box. They ran as the security guard gave chase. They make it to the truck.
"GO, GO, GO, GO!" The first hunter shouted. The truck started to drive. The security guard stopped as the truck is driving off. "Dammit! The goal was to get all of them!"
"Can't be helped," the second hunter said. "Besides, one is better than nothing."
Back at the lab, a couple of scientists came to the scene, and did an inventory on all of the Tyrunt.
"So, how's the situation?" One of the scientists asked.
"We're missing one," the other scientist said.
"Which one?" The first scientist asked.
"It's gotta be number nine, I'm sure of it," the second scientist said.
"Number nine? Oh no," the first scientist said. "We gotta find him and bring him back!"
On the road, the truck driver keeps the truck steady when suddenly something caught his eye. He squinted when he saw what looks like two Mavericks standing in the middle of the road. One of the Mavericks looks like a red rhinoceros beetle. It has four arms and two sets of karambit blades on each one of its hands. The other looked like a blue stag beetle with arrowheads on each hand. The driver screamed as he stirred the truck. In the trunk, the hunters and their cargo fell. The cage goes flying. The cage makes a crash landing, and Tyrunt bashes himself out and sets off into the woods.
The truck crashes right towards a tree. When the truck makes contact with the tree, it scares out the bird Pokémon sleeping in the treetops. The truck driver busts out before the airbag starts working, and the hunters came out of the back.
"What the hell is the matter with you?! Are you trying to get us killed?!" The first hunter asked.
"There were two monsters on the road!" The driver exclaimed.
"Monsters? What are you talking about?" The first hunter asked.
"Sounds like he's been drinking," the second hunter said. "How many beers did you drink?"
"I didn't drink anything! I know what I saw, and I saw two monsters, looking like two giant bugs! If I knew we were gonna be bumping into monsters, I wouldn't have to agree to help you guys! You can keep my share of the money, because I'm out of here!" The driver said, running off.
"Hey, get back here!" The second hunter called out.
"Let him go. He's nothing," the first hunter said. "Besides, we got a prehistoric Pokémon to find and sell to the highest bidder." He hands his partner a flashlight and turned on another his grabbed. They head off to find the cage. It didn't take long until the two beetle-like Mavericks have shown up.
"Look at this, Kuwagust. That's their vehicle," the first Maverick said.
"Don't look like they're even here, Herculious," Kuwagust said.
"We'll find them. We could use some target practice," Herculious said. Just then, they hear the sound of wind blowing to see a Reploid similar to X's design, but his armor is green instead of blue. His helmet is mounted with wing-like extensions that bear resemblance to a Valkyrie's helmet, and powerful wing-like thrusters are mounted on his back. "Sage Harpuia!"
"What are you two doing? You were supposed to meet up with the others," Harpuia said.
"Forgive us, sir," Kuwagust said.
"We will go now," Herculious said.
The Maverick beetles flew to meet up with their comrades as Harpuia sighed to himself.
Over to the hunters, they found the cage, but it was empty.
"Dammit! It's gone!" The second hunter said.
"Not too far, because the footprints goes in this direction," the first hunter said. The flashlight shines on the footprints. "Come on."
The two hunters followed the footprints. Over to Tyrunt, he jumped on the rocks on the river and made it to the other side. Tyrunt kept on walking and gave off a yawn. Tyrunt fell right to sleep, unaware of being close to Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, the Digimon, and Team Natsu sleeping nearby.
Over to the hunters, they made it to the river and they saw how the trail has suddenly grew so cold.
"The trail's lost," the first hunter said.
"It must gotten washed into the river and downstream," the second hunter said.
"It's worth a look," the first hunter said, going downstream.
Agumon, Veemon, and Guilmon woke up, feeling hungry when they felt their stomachs rumble.
"You guys feeling hungry?" Agumon asked.
"Very," Veemon and Guilmon answered.
"Maybe there's some fish in the river," Veemon said.
"Hope so, because I wanna make a good catch before that blue cat scares them off," Guilmon said.
The reptile Digimon got up and started to head for the river to hunt for their night snack when Bonnie stepped out in her Tyrantrum pajamas.
"Shouldn't you be asleep?" Agumon asked.
"I could be asking you that question," Bonnie said.
"Point taken," Agumon said.
Bonnie and the three Digimon were heading to the river when they heard the sound of snoring nearby. They investigate and saw the Tyrunt, sleeping soundly.
"A Tyrunt," Bonnie, Agumon, Veemon, and Guilmon whispered. Tyrunt woke up and saw them.
"We won't hurt you," Bonnie said. Tyrunt looked at Bonnie and thought she was a real Tyrantrum and then saw the Digimon and thought they were actual dinosaurs.
On the next morning, Agumon, Veemon, and Guilmon woke up the other Digimon.
"Guys, wake up," Agumon said. The Digimon all started to wake up.
"Is it time for breakfast?" Armadillomon asked.
"I hope so, because the timing could not be perfect," Hawkmon said. He sees the royal heir Pokémon sniffing him. "Huh?" Tyrunt gave a light roar in his face, scaring Hawkmon out of his wits. The same can be said for the other Digimon.
"Is that what it looks like?" Gatomon asked.
"It is! It's a Tyrunt," Gabumon said.
"Where did this one come from?" Renamon asked.
"Bonnie, Veemon, Guilmon, and I just found it last night asleep not too far away," Agumon said.
"Where did it come from?" Gomamon asked. Tyrunt went over to Palmon and sniffed her, making feel uncomfortable.
"You're getting too close for comfort," Palmon said. Just then, Meowth woke up and started to stretch.
"I could use a stretch before I get my grub on," Meowth said. He sees Tyrunt right in his face, sniffing him. The scratch cat Pokémon screamed, waking up the rest of the group.
"Meowth, just because you're wide awake doesn't mean you have to wake up the rest of u-" Sora paused when he saw the Tyrunt with Bonnie, Meowth and the Digimon. Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Pikachu, Angel, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and Team Natsu all woke up to see the miniature tyrannosaurus rex-like Pokémon. "Guys, are you seeing what I'm seeing?"
"Is that a Pokémon, too?" Lucy asked.
"It is. It's a Tyrunt," Ventus said.
"Wow, a living, breathing Tyrunt. I never thought I would actually see one up close," Karen said.
"Tyrunt?" Natsu asked, almost laughing. He started to poke his nose when Tyrunt bit his hand. Everyone paused when Natsu screamed in pain, and running around, and swinging his arm, trying to shake Tyrunt off. "AAAAHHHHH! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! ITS TEETH IS GETTING INTO MY SKIN!"
"Natsu, stop doing that!" Sora yelled.
"Pika!" Pikachu added.
"You let go of him now!" Bonnie said. Tyrunt complied with her and Natsu rubs his sore arm.
"Wow, that was a good grip," Natsu said.
"It looked like it was tasting you," Gray said.
"Or maybe, he was just teething," Kairi said.
"Teething? You're not suggesting that one is an infant, are you?" Charla asked.
"Makes sense to me," Terra said.
"Just where did you find him, Bonnie?" Kairi asked.
"Agumon, Guilmon, Veemon, and I found him sleeping just over there," Bonnie said, pointing to where Tyrunt was sleeping.
"Just right there?" Aqua asked.
"It's not usual to find a Tyrunt out here," Clemont said.
"Why not?" Wendy asked.
"Tyrunt is a prehistoric Pokémon much like Amaura. And like Amaura, they went extinct millions of years ago," Clemont said.
"If you say Tyrunt is extinct, then explain how we are seeing Tyrunt with our own eyes," Erza said.
"That I cannot answer," Clemont said, stroking his chin. "I remember we met Kairi's Amaura over in the Pokémon research lab in Ambrette Town; so there might be a lab that is similar to that one."
"You mean a lab that revives Pokémon from fossils?" Karen asked.
"If that's where Tyrunt came from, then we gotta put Tyrunt back there, because there's a good chance he could be in danger from Pokémon hunters," Terra said.
"That's right. I heard there are hunters in the area, so there's a good chance they'll get to Tyrunt," Aqua said.
"And that's what we're gonna do," Sora said. Sora turned to Tyrunt. "Don't worry, Tyrunt, we're gonna get you home." He pets Tyrunt on the nose and he looked at Sora and saw he could trust him. "We don't have much time, so let's get a move on!"
Just then, a Weavile leapt out of the bushes and heading towards Tyrunt. Gaomon jumped in front of the Weavile.
"Rolling Upper!" Gaomon shouted, punching Weavile. Just then, a bunch of Sneasel come running behind Weavile and fired Ice Beam at most of the Digimon and Meowth, freezing them. Agumon, Veemon, and Guilmon weren't affected.
"What are they?" Happy asked.
"All those are Sneasel, and that's a Weavile, Sneasel's evolved form," Ventus said.
Just then, the two hunters comes out of the bushes.
"Found you at last, Tyrunt!" The first hunter said.
"Hey, who are you?" Natsu asked.
"Just two guys, looking to make some money by selling Tyrunt to the highest bidder," the first hunter said.
"Sell? They're Pokémon hunters!" Karen said.
"That's right. We make money by selling Pokémon, and we plan to get rich with that Tyrunt!" The second hunter said.
"You think you can do that and get away with it, then keep dreaming!" Sora said.
"We're going to take that Pokémon, no matter what!" The first hunter said. "Weavile! Use Slash!" Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Bunnelby!" Sora called out. Bunnelby came on out. "Use Double Slap!" Bunnelby gave Weavile a couple of slaps.
"Sneasel! Gang up on that Bunnelby!" The second hunter shouted. The Sneasel went for Bunnelby, and started to scratch at him.
"Bunnelby!" Sora exclaimed. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Swirlix!" Kairi called out. The cotton candy Pokémon emerged from inside the Pokéball. "Use Fairy Wind!" Swirlix blew Fairy Wind at the Sneasel, blowing them off. Weavile jumped and gave Swirlix a slash on the mark. "Swirlix!"
"Ice Beam!" The hunters ordered. Weavile and the Sneasel fired Ice Beam, freezing the rest of them. Agumon, Veemon, and Guilmon were still free.
"Sora!" Agumon exclaimed.
"Get rid of those three!" The first hunter ordered. Weavile slashed at Agumon, Veemon, and Guilmon.
"Guys!" Sora exclaimed.
"That's no fair! They can't do that!" Lucy said.
"We just did, blondie!" The second hunter said.
"Finish them off!" The first hunter ordered. Weavile and the Sneasel started to run towards the three injured Digimon when they started to Digivolve. The Fairy Tail wizards were awestruck to see them transforming.
"What are they doing?" Gray asked.
"They're Digivolving!" Ventus said.
"Digivolving?" Happy asked.
"Just wait and see," Sora said.
"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Veemon Digivolve to... Veedramon!"
"Guilmon Digivolve to... Growlmon!"
The Fairy Tail Wizards and Tyrunt were amazed by what they were witnessing. They saw the three reptilian Digimon turn into much larger creatures.
Weavile and the Sneasel skids on the ground as they saw the larger Digimon. They were starting to get scared out of their wits and started to run in the opposite direction. The hunters were also scared.
"Monsters!" The hunters exclaimed when a jeep shows up, and it turned out to be the scientists from the research lab, and Officer Jenny.
"That's them, officer! Those are the scoundrels who broke into our lab last night!" The first scientist said.
The hunters turned to the Digimon approaching them.
"Who do you want to take your chances with? Us or them?" Greymon asked.
The hunters didn't waste any time, jumping into the police car. Natsu melted the rest of the group out of the ice.
"Brr, I feel so numb," Meowth said. Greymon, Veedramon, and Growlmon reverts back to their Rookie forms.
"Why don't you come with us? We can fix you right up," the second scientist offered. "We can treat you to a hot bath."
"Thanks so much," Sora said, shivering.
"I won't need one. I handle the cold just fine," Gray said.
"Yeah well, not all of us can handle ice magic like you can," Lucy said.
After a good invigorating bath, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, the Digimon, and Team Natsu went with the scientists and Tyrunt to the research lab and they explained how they came across Tyrunt in the first place.
"Ah, so that's it," the first scientist said. "How fortunate for us, you decided to bring number nine back to us."
"Number nine?" Natsu asked.
"We call each of the newborns by number," the first scientist said.
"The number of the order they were born," the second scientist said.
"It wouldn't feel right to catch him and take off," Sora said.
"We're just grateful that you were taking good care of him for us," the second scientist said. "So, to show you how grateful we are, we decided to show you around."
"Really?" Ventus asked.
"Sure," the first scientist said. "All the prehistoric Pokémon here are amazing sights to beheld."
The group were gazing upon the prehistoric Pokémon in the area. Among them are Kabuto, Kabutops, Tirtouga, Carracosta, Archen, Archeops, Cranidos, Rampardos, Shieldon, Bastiodon, Tyrunt, and Tyrantrum. The Fairy Tail Wizards were awestruck by the fact they were real.
The group were about to take off as the scientists and the Tyrunt they helped are seeing them off.
"It was loads of fun, but we should get going," Sora said.
"Good luck on your way," the second scientist said.
"And thank you again for your help," the first scientist said. He turned to the Tyrunt. "Okay, number nine, time to say goodbye." The Tyrunt started to cry.
"Take care," Sora said as the group started to take off. Tyrunt starred to go after them. Tyrunt roared after them, making them turn around. "Tyrunt?"
"Number nine, what's gotten into you?" The first scientist asked. The second scientist understood what it meant.
"I get it. He doesn't want to say goodbye to his new friends," the second scientist said. The first scientist looked at his colleague.
"You cannot be serious," the first scientist said.
"Number nine made up his mind," the second scientist said. He looked at Sora. "If it's not too much trouble, would you like to be Tyrunt's trainer?" Sora looked at Tyrunt and saw how much he liked him, and so Tyrunt nuzzled his leg.
"Are you sure?" Sora asked.
"We are sure. Tyrunt has taken a real shine to you, and we would be grateful if you would raise number nine as your own Pokémon," the second scientist said.
"He's right. I can see how attached he's grown to you after a short time," the first scientist said. Sora smiled.
"Okay, I'll take good care of Tyrunt," Sora said. He took out a Pokéball and held in front of Tyrunt. "You're welcome to come along for the ride." Tyrunt pressed the button on the Pokéball and flows inside. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Tyrunt with him. He chose to keep Tyrunt in exchange for Fletchinder.
Sora now has another new Pokémon and another new friend, and the journey continues onwards.
