Episode 564: Zero: Clash of Good and Evil
Over to Team Shadow HQ, Sigma has been working on his own project for a while. He was making a copy of Zero from his DNA data. Sigma laughed.
"Yes, it is near completion," Sigma said.
"Nice work, Sigma," Gate said. "But you're not the only genius here." He gestures to a knockoff of Zero. He has purple armor and his blonde hair is swapped a lighter shade of purple. He has a grayish purple Z-Saber in his hand. "My Zero Nightmare shall make the real one inferior in comparison."
"That remains to be seen. My clone of Zero has the same purpose," Sigma said. Gate looked at the copy of Zero and he scoffed.
"How can this one be anything different?" Gate asked.
"Awakened Zero is the Zero he was meant to be," Sigma said.
"How are you certain, Sigma?" Gate asked.
"I first saw this first hand when I commanded the Maverick Hunters," Sigma said.
(Flashback)
We have a look at a couple of Maverick Hunters, standing outside an abandoned building. Sigma approaches them, but he didn't have his scars yet.
"What's our current situation?" Sigma asked. The Maverick Hunters turned to Sigma.
"Commander Sigma!" One of the hunters said.
"Where is that Maverick? The one we have been chasing after?" Sigma asked as the hunters saluted him.
"Inside there! We have him trapped inside that building!" The first hunter said.
"I see. You will stay here. I'll deal with it personally," Sigma said.
"By yourself, commander?" The first hunter asked.
"That Maverick wiped out Garma and his entire unit! Forgive me for asking this, but what chance do you have?" The second hunter asked.
"A much better chance than any of them. I don't want any more sacrifices being made," Sigma said.
He heads for the building and opened the doors. He spotted Zero standing in the middle of the room. He turned to see the Maverick Hunter leader, and he charges at Sigma with a yell. Sigma dodges. Zero gave a kick, but Sigma dodges again. He sees Zero slowly walking towards him. Sigma charges at him with a battle cry. Zero tried to punch him, but Sigma dodges again and again.
Sigma grabbed Zero and flipped him over and threw him upwards. Sigma was sure it finished him off, but he found it didn't. Zero pulled his head out of the cieling and and broke off a hunk of metal. Zero came falling as Sigma jumped upwards. Zero threw it, but Sigma blocked and they clashed into each other. Their clashed ended as they seperated. Sigma jumped on a beam above him. Zero jumped and on the opposite side. Sigma drew his weapon as Zero broke a piece of pipe. The two Reploids clashed their weapons. Zero and Sigma yelled as they ran towards each other. Sigma cuts the pipe in half, and charged at him to finish him off, but Zero dashed and slashed his arm off. Sigma grits his teeth in pain. Zero gave off an evil grin and approached him. Sigma started to fear for his life.
Zero gave Sigma a few more punches. Zero starts to finish him off by breaking off his other arm, laughing evilly. Just then, the letter W appears on his forehead and Zero began to scream in pain and agony. Sigma saw his chance, so he used his remaining fist to punch Zero and shatter the gem, sending Zero backwards.
The two Maverick Hunters saw Sigma walk out of the building.
"Look! It's Commander Sigma!" The second hunter said.
"You should never have doubted the commander," the first hunter said. He gasped when he saw how tore up he was.
"Take that Maverick to repair center. And make contact with Dr. Cain. I want that Maverick studied," Sigma said.
"Commander, are you alright?" The first hunter asked. Sigma pushed him aside.
"THAT'S AN ORDER!" Sigma said, walking off.

"I didn't know it at the time, the Maverick Virus has entered my systems, and it has taken control over me," Sigma said.
"Incredible. An entertaining story," Gate said.
"And thanks to some reckon missions from my forces, I was able to obtain some of Zero's DNA data the same way as you," Sigma said.
"But I feel that we should make this a contest to see which Zero is the most superior Zero. My Zero Nightmare, your Awakened Zero as you would put it, going against the original Zero," Gate said.
"A great idea, Gate. This shall be fun," Sigma said. "We need only to know where Zero is located first."
Gate grinned as his eye glimmered.
Over to Kalos, it was after Serena has beaten her mother in a race and decided her own future. The group all made a stop to rest.
"Serena," Kairi said. Serena turned to Kairi. "I was really amazed back there."
"You were?" Serena asked.
"Yes. I have to say, you standing for your beliefs has inspired me," Kairi said.
"Well, I did it because I didn't want to live in my mom's shadow," Serena said. "Besides, I wouldn't have lasted as a racer."
"It was your choice, Serena. Just because your mom has your heart set on being a Pokémon Performer doesn't mean it has to be that way," Kairi said. Serena knew Kairi was right. It was her choice, and she didn't regret it one single minute.
Back in Pallet Town that night, Delia is cleaning up from making dinner for Professor Layton, Luke,the Young Six and the Cutie Mark Crusaders when they heard the sound coming from outside. The sound of romantic music is being played. They looked outside to see a boy around Sora and Kairi's age, and he is wearing a violet beret. He sets up the ladder and starts climbing up to where he thinks is Kairi's window.
"Hey, check that guy out!" Smolder said.
"Is that a human thing?" Silverstream asked.
"Not any I am aware of," Layton said.
"But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Kairi is the sun. Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, who is already sick and pale with grief, that thou her maid art far more fair than she: be not her maid, since she is envious; her vestal livery is but sick and green and none but fools do wear it; cast it off. It is my lady, O, it is my love! O, that she knew she were! She speaks yet she says nothing: what of that? Her eye discourses; I will answer it. I am too bold, 'tis not to me she speaks: two of the fairest stars in all the heaven, having some business, do entreat her eyes To twinkle in their spheres till they return. What if her eyes were there, they in her head? The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars, as daylight doth a lamp; her eyes in heaven would through the airy region stream so bright. That birds would sing and think it were not night. See, how she leans her cheek upon her hand! O, that I were a glove upon that hand, that I might touch that cheek!" The boy said.
"What in the hay is he talking about?" Apple Bloom asked.
"I don't know, but I know that's the wrong window," Sanbar said.
"He is reciting the famous window scene of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. But I think he's wooing the wrong lady," Professor Layton said.
"She speaks: o, speak again, bright angel! for thou art. As glorious to this night, being o'er my head as is a winged messenger of heaven unto the white-upturned wondering eyes of mortals that fall back to gaze on him when he bestrides the lazy-pacing clouds and sails upon the bosom of the air. Won't you come to the window, my love? Let me see thy beauty with my own eyes," the boy said as Kairi's grandmother, wearing her robe and has a mud mask on her face and her hair into curls. He gave a light gasp when he saw it wasn't who he was trying to woo.
"Nice try, Romeo, but you're about fifty years too late," Kairi's grandmother said. The boy yelped and fell down backwards. He got right up and started to run for it with the Cutie Mark Crusaders and the Young Six laughing. He felt embarrassed by what happened.
"Oh dear," Layton said.
Meanwhile, X was running through the Kalos region, searching for Zero. He was able to pick up on his signature.
Over to Zero, he looked around for anymore surprise attacks. He was on constant alert ever since his encounter on the X wannabe Reploids. He stopped in place and he readied his Z-Saber. He waited for whatever it was to get closer. Once he was sure his pursuer was closer, he ignited his Z-Saber and pointed it straight at X. He raised his arms up.
"Zero, it's me!" X exclaimed.
"X!" Zero said, putting his weapon away. "Sorry about that, buddy. Thought you were something else for a sec." He looked at X. "What are you doing here, anyway?"
"Came looking for you because I'm concerned about you," X said.
"Isn't that Iris's department to worry about me, X?" Zero asked.
"Just because it's Iris's job to worry about you doesn't mean I'm not going to. Besides, I've known you much longer than she has," X said.
"Fair point. Still, you should head back up to the SMASH Tower and wait for me," Zero said.
"Can't get rid of me that easily, Zero. We're a team, remember?" X asked. Zero smiled and placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Okay, you win," Zero said.
"Also, what exactly did you think I was?" X asked.
"Believe it or not, there were Reploids who looked a lot like you, but they had a red core on each of their faces," Zero said. X was dumbfounded by Zero's claim. "Yeah, that was my reaction. They said they were from Neo Arcadia, and I never even heard of it."
"Neither have I. Who would make so many copies of me?" X asked.
"I would guess an incredibly obsessed fan, or someone who is out to destroy your rep. Either way, those guys only confirmed what Sora said, because they knew my name. So they must have thought I was that other Zero."
"Sora didn't mention anything about duplicates of me," X pointed out.
"He only mentioned Valiant from Team Shadow. So, we gotta find him and get some answers out of him," Zero said.
"Right. There's no telling how tough that other Zero is. So, it'll take the both of us to deal with him," X said.
"Make it three if Axl shows up. Speaking of which, is Axl on the SMASH Tower right now?" Zero asked.
"He's in Pallet Town playing with Kairi's little brother. Pallette went crazy, seeing Axl playing with him. Who would have thought human babies can be so pure and innocent?" Zero thought back and he saw how Seth has taken a liking to Axl. Luckily Axl left his weapons behind because he didn't want to be in hot water with Kairi and her family. He remembered seeing Seth on what Yuta and Mirei called a play date with Edward.
Back with Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, the Digimon, SEES, and Team Natsu in a few days later, the group made a stop in a town where Kairi has purchased an item called a Whipped Dream. It is a soft and sweet treat made of fluffy, puffy, whipped and whirled cream. She took out Swirlix's Pokéball and let her out.
"Okay, Swirlix, how would you like to be a Slurpuff?" Kairi asked.
"Swirlix!" Swirlix beamed. Kairi handed her the treat and Swirlix started to evolve. Swirlix was now a Slurpuff. "Slurpuff."
"Look at you. You're a Slurpuff now," Kairi said.
"Looking good, Slurpuff," Sora said. Kairi turned to see her boyfriend. Slurpuff jumped and gave Sora a slurpy lick on the face. "Better the tongue of a Slurpuff than a Lickitung's."
"Slurpuff, puff," Slurpuff said. Sora chuckled nervously as he wiped Slurpuff's slobber off his face.
Karen, Bonnie, Blossom, and Dedenne watched with wide smiles at the happy couple.
Meanwhile back in Team Shadow HQ, Sigma has awakened his latest creation. He opened his eyes for the first time.
"Hello there," Sigma said.
"Who are you?" Awakened Zero asked.
"Sigma. I am your creator," Sigma said.
"Crea...tor?" Awakened Zero asked.
"Yes. I granted you life," Sigma said. "For a purpose."
"What purpose?" Awakened Zero asked. Sigma grinned.
"To prove that you are the more superior Zero. There is another who shares your likeness, but he has wasted potential. He failed to live up to his programming. And that is why I created you. I created you to prove that you are the real Zero," Sigma said.
"The real Zero," Awakened Zero said.
"He is in this world as we speak. Our sources have pinpointed that he is somewhere in the Kalos region. You will find him, and you will destroy him and any who would aide him. Do hesitate. Show no mercy. Only then will you have proven yourself," Sigma said.
"Is there more?" Awakened Zero asked.
"After you have dealt with your inferior counterpart, I will send you to Abel City, and you will wipe out the Maverick Hunter Base, and destroy everyone inside, be they Reploid or human," Sigma instructed.
"I will show that fake Zero who's the best Zero there is," Awakened Zero stated. Sigma grinned his evil grin, knowing his plan is into the making.
Over to Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill, Riku is battling an Absol while he is using Eevee for the battle. Absol attacked with Shadow Claw.
"Dodge and use Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered. Eevee dodged Absol's Shadow Claw and fired Shadow Ball and lands a hit onto the disaster Pokémon. "Now, use Swift!" Eevee fired Swift at Absol, dealing some additional damage. Riku took a Pokéball and threw it. Absol flows inside it and it shakes around violently. Riku knew Absol might not stay in for long. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. The Pokéball teleports right towards Riku's house. "Got myself an Absol."
"Right after you catching a Gyarados, a Houndoom, and a Sneasel yesterday, and you got a Drapion, a Bagon, a Lairon, a Krokorok, and an Onix the day before," Naminé said.
"Azu, Azu," Azurill chirped.
"Well, I figured I could extend my team a bit. Also, I want to give Sora quite a surprise when we meet in Lumiose City," Riku said. He sat down when he heard a rustling in the shrubs. He turned and saw a Snubbull walking out. He looked right at Snubbull and he saw another Pokémon with loads of potential. He turned to Eevee. "You still have enough to go?"
"Vee," Eevee nodded.
"Quick Attack!" Riku ordered. Eevee dashed towards Snubbull and lands a hit on the Fairy Type Pokémon. Snubbull ran towards Eevee with an Ice Fang. "Dodge with Dig!" Eevee dug into the earth as Snubbull misses. Snubbull was struck by Eevee from underneath. "Use Shadow Ball!" Eevee fires Shadow Ball and it hits Snubbull on the spot. "Use Quick Attack!" Eevee dashed towards Snubbull again and lands a hit. Riku took out a Pokéball and threw it. Snubbull flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. The Pokéball teleports right towards Riku's house.
"Wow, you caught a Snubbull. How cool, and cute," Naminé said.
"Yeah. Mostly cute," Riku said. He looked up to the sky and he smiled as he remembered a Snubbull he met before. Naminé was confused.
"Riku?" Naminé asked. Riku turned to his girlfriend and looked into her face. "Is something wrong?"
"Nothing. Just remembering an old friend," Riku said.
"Oh? And who was it that you were thinking about just now?" Naminé asked.
"Another Snubbull I met when I was little. A Snubbull named Reggie, or I should say Reginald," Riku said. He chuckled.
"Reginald?" Naminé asked.
"Yeah. He was owned by a rich couple who used to live on the island until they moved. I was really little when I found him, or should I say he found me. That Snubbull just tackled me down and licked my face like an ice cream cone. I figured he was lost, so I brought him home with me. My mom said I was too young to have a Pokémon of my own, but I pleaded with her to let me keep him for a little while, so she agreed to it until Reggie's owners or trainer comes by. We played together. When his owners came by, looking for him I had to say goodbye to him," Riku said.
"How did Reggie get lost in the first place?" Naminé asked.
"It turns out that the husband of the couple purposely set him loose because he just liked to bite him," Riku said. He started to laugh. "I found it so funny when I was a little kid. And if I told it to Sora, he would be laughing, too." Naminé then started to get it.
"Did that Snubbull remind you of Reggie, Riku?" Naminé asked.
"Yeah. Until now, there was no other Snubbull that was just like Reggie; not even that one Snubbull with the pink ribbons," Riku said.
"I thought that was why you caught it. You were feeling nostalgic," Naminé said.
"That's one way of putting it, Naminé," Riku said. He pets Eevee on the head. "But all of my Pokémon are number one. And that's what I'm going to make my new Snubbull." Naminé understood what her boyfriend meant and she smiled even more.
Back to X and Zero, they continued their search when they heard something. They looked and saw shots being deflected.
"X, look!" Zero said.
"I see it, too," X said. Both nodded and they moved right in. They were amazed by what they did see. It was Zero, but his design was different, but there was no denying that it was Zero, and he was fighting Reploids that looked like X. "Zero, you weren't kidding."
"I told you," Zero said. A dozen of them came right behind the other Zero when the original Zero jumped and decapitated the Reploids with a single swipe. He looked at the red Reploid and knew he was seeing someone very familiar. X stepped right in and activated one of his weapons.
"Electric Spark!" X shouted, firing a ball of electricity at the X ripoffs, destroying them.
Not too far, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, the Digimon, SEES, and Team Natsu weren't too far, so they heard the fight breaking out.
"You hear that?" Karen asked.
"It sounds really close," Clemont said.
"Come on!" Sora said. The rest of the group went in the direction the sounds of the fight.
Speaking of which, X and the Zeros have already dispatched the remaining Mavericks. The two Zeros stare at each other. They still held their weapons.
"Okay, who are you?" Zero asked.
"I was going to ask you the same thing," the other Zero said.
"Wow, two Zeros," Bonnie said.
"Shh," Kairi shushed.
"Okay, start talking. Was it Neo Arcadia who sent you here?" The other Zero asked.
"That's what some of those guys mentioned before. I don't know about any Neo Arcadia, but I'm gonna ask if you're an agent of Sigma," Zero said. The other Zero felt unnerved when he mentioned Sigma.
"Sigma is dead. He has been dead since we destroyed him on the moon," the other Zero said.
"Is he serious?" X asked. The other Zero looked at X and his face lit up.
"X, is that really you?" The other Zero asked. X was confused a bit.
"Don't change the subject! Who are you working for?" Zero asked.
"I'm not working for anyone. I was fighting with the Resistance, and those Mavericks came after me!" The other Zero argued. Zero wasn't buying it one bit. The other Zero could tell he wasn't. "You don't believe me, do you?"
"Why should I? For all I know, you might be another Maverick," Zero said.
"How do I know you're not the Maverick here?" The other Zero asked, accusingly.
"Just like a Maverick to try to pin it on me!" Zero said, gripping his Z-Saber.
"Finally, there's something we both can agree on, Maverick," the other Zero said. "Ready to get scraped?"
"That's reserved for you," Zero said.
"Zero, I'm going to help you!" X said.
"Stay back, X!" Zero said. "I got this faker."
"Zero!" Sora shouted. X turned to see the group coming towards him.
"Looks like a fight is going on," Agumon said.
"I want on the action!" Natsu said.
"No," X said. Natsu groaned.
"Why not?" Natsu asked.
"It's his fight," X said.
"He's right. He can handle it," Sora said.
Both Zeros stood their ground and then came at each other. They clashed their energy blades at one another. The fight between the two Zeros was fierce. The other Zero shot at Zero, only to reflect the blasts back like a lightsaber. Zero then dashed at his double again. They clashed their sabers again and again. The fight between them went on right up to they stared right at each other again.
"Which one has the advantage over?" Lucy asked.
"It looks like they're evenly matched," Minato said.
"I was thinking the same thing," X said. X then turned as he sensed something off. He gasped as the Zero Nightmare appeared before them, laughing. "What the?!"
"Another Zero?!" Terra asked.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"I'm Zero! I exterminate Mavericks like you!" The Zero Nightmare said.
"Who is he calling Mavericks?" Meowth asked.
"I think he means us," Gatomon deadpanned.
"Oh dang," Meowth groaned.
The other two Zeros noticed the other Zero in front of them. They then dashed at Nightmare Zero before he could strike them down. He clashed at their blades. His Z-Saber is colored black unlike Zero's Z-Saber. They looked at each other and nodded since they saw how they could never let innocent people die, even if it's an impostor.
"You two are supposed to be Zero? Ha! I'm the one true Zero here, fakes," the Zero Nightmare said.
"I don't think so, because you don't have to be a genius to see that you're a fake," the second Zero said.
"He's right. Anyone who goes around, looking like me has another thing coming," Zero said.
"The thing that is coming to you two," the Zero Nightmare said. He took out his own Z-Saber. He lunged at the other two Zeros, but they dodged as the second Zero came at the Zero Nightmare attempting to strike him down, but he fired black energy from his Z-Buster, hitting him. Zero then fired at the Zero Nightmare with his own Z-Buster, but the Zero Nightmare reflected the attack.
"Nice try," the Zero Nightmare taunted.
"Okay, try this on for size!" Zero shouted with his Z-Saber emitting fire. He charged at him. "Dragon Flame Blade!" The Zero Nightmare barley dodges, but he was struck hard. The other Zero then the other Zero took out a lance-like weapon and spins it around. The head comes off with energy chains attached and he threw it the the Zero Nightmare, tying him down.
"Other me! I got him! You can finish him off!" The second Zero shouted. Zero then jumped and he came down with his Z-Saber still emitting fire.
"Earth Flame!" Zero shouted, coming down. Zero was coming down fast. The other Zero pulls his chain back before Zero struck his nightmare counterpart. He looked at the second Zero and he smiled. The other Zero smiled back at him.
"Not bad," the second Zero complemented.
"Right back you," Zero said.
The Zero Nightmare didn't stay down for long. He got back up, barely hurt at all.
"That was awesome," Natsu said.
"One minute they were killing each other, and the next, they're helping each other," Lucy said.
"Against a common enemy," X said. He then senses something else. "What now?"
"X, what's wro-" Sora paused when he sensed something as well. "Huh?" He got his answer when a crash on the earth which has everyone bracing themselves. Sora and X both gasped when they saw a fourth Zero, but he gave off a strange purplish red aura. Sora has never seen anything like it before, but he could see something unbelievably and horrifyingly evil about this Zero. "X, tell me we're not seeing what I think we're seeing."
"I don't want to believe it either, Sora, but there's no doubting it now," X said. He sternly looked at Awakened Zero. "Who are you?" Awakened Zero only grinned as he looked at the group.
"I'm Zero. The one true Zero," Awakened Zero said.
"One true Zero?" Kairi asked in disbelief.
"Eevee?" Angel also asked in disbelief.
"Yes," Awakened Zero said. Zero and the second Zero approached Awakened Zero, holding their weapons closely.
"You're supposed to be me? Don't make me laugh," Zero scoffed. Awakened Zero looked at Zero and he grinned.
"It's no joke. I am everything you should be, Zero. Ever since Sigma found and had you reprogrammed, you were denying your true roots. Your true nature! You wasted your time fighting for so-called justice and fought for a hopeless cause. Unlike you I do not have such weaknesses. That is because I am the true form...of Zero. I am the as I said, the one true Zero," Awakened Zero said.
"Is that what you really believe, or is it something Sigma wants you to believe?" Zero asked. The second Zero stepped forward.
"I don't know how there's four of me right here, but I do know a Maverick when I see one," the second Zero said.
"Maverick? Is that supposed to mean something?" Awakened Zero asked.
"Why would you care if I said it does mean a thing?" The second Zero asked. Awakened Zero laughed evilly.
"It really doesn't matter. I'm here on a simple mission. It's to destroy all of you right here and now," Awakened Zero said.
"That is what I'm here for!" The Zero Nightmare said, gripping his Z-Saber. Awakened Zero looked at the other evil copy of Zero.
"You're nothing but a flawed copy who was going to fail his first and only mission," Awakened Zero said. The Zero Nightmare growled in anger.
"Zero, you're going to need my help," X said, stepping in.
"X?" Zero asked.
"This impostor doesn't know you like I do! He's a flawed copy just like Zero Nightmare! And so is he, because he has the evil touch of Sigma! There are things Sigma cannot copy, no matter how hard he tries!" X said.
"X," Zero could only say. The other Zero looked at X and he knew that the X he used to know would say the exact same thing.
"X," the second Zero said.
"You're right, X. He talks big, and so do I. But I always make it out on top," Zero said. "As for you, Maverick, you can babble all you want, but you and Sigma will never have your happily ever after. Not as long as long I'm around!"
"Looks like I was wasting my breath on you. So, get ready to die, weaklings!" Awakened Zero said, coming at his opponents, but the second Zero twirls his lance and flipped him over. X then fired his X-Buster at him, but Awakened Zero fired back. Zero lifted his Z-Saber up, but Awakened Zero clashed his own Z-Saber, emitting the same aura. X and the second Zero were brushed aside, but the Zero Nightmare came at Awakened Zero, but Awakened Zero brushed him off the same way.
"You're much stronger than I thought, fake me," Zero said.
"I don't care if you think you're real or not, because I am powerful than you are. And I'll become even more powerful than even Sigma," Awakened Zero said.
"Big whoop," Zero said. He lunged at his Awakened counterpart, but he blocked with his Z-Saber again. X, the second Zero, and the Zero Nightmare rejoined the fight. X was fired his shots at the Zero Nightmare, but he manages to dodge from left to right. Awakened Zero then lunged at the Zero Nightmare, so the second Zero fired at both evil Zeros as X and the two good Zeros fired at them. They reflected their shots at them.
"Man, this fight is something," Gray said.
"Not one of them is letting up," Junpei said.
"Zero never lets up," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
X fired at Awakened Zero, but he uses his aura to reflect his blasts and then swings his Z-Saber, sending out cresent energy projectiles at X. He quickly got struck by the projectiles. X screamed in pain.
"X!" Sora exclaimed. He tried to help him, but Kairi stopped him.
"Sora, no! You'll get killed if you go running in!" Kairi said, holding him.
"She's right, Sora. One of those Zeros will use you as a shield," Akihiko said.
"They can handle this," Agumon said.
"X," Sora said.
Zero rushed to X's side.
"You alright, X?" Zero asked.
"Yes," X answered.
"X, you sit this one out. I can handle them," Zero said.
"Okay," X said.
The good Zeros stared at their evil selves and they nod at each other.
"I know you're not a Maverick, but we should work together to bring those chumps down," Zero said.
"You're right," the second Zero agreed. "So, let's show them what two Zeros can do when they work together."
"You wanna make the first move or should I?" Zero asked.
"How about we go at the same time?" The second Zero suggested.
"Not a bad idea," Zero said.
They fired their shots at the evil Zeros, but they reflected their enemies' blasts with their Z-Sabers and charged at them. The good Zeros do the exact same thing. A clash of weapons goes off as sparks fly. Several Pokémon are watching the battle closely, not sure what to make of the situation.
The four Zeros fought on as Awakened Zero reflected the blows from the good Zeros and the Zero Nightmare. He sends them back, but they do a backflip and came right in again. Zero rushed Awakened Zero, drawing his fire, as the second Zero does the same thing with the Zero Nightmare. They kept up the dodging as the Zero Nightmare has shot right at Awakened Zero. Zero then grabbed his evil twin and threw him at Gate's creation. Both Zeros then fired at their evil selves, dealing some more heavy damage. Just when they were about to finish them off, a flash of light temporarily blinds everyone. When the flash has faded, the evil Zeros were gone.
"Where did they go?" Gomamon asked.
It turns out to been High Max who have snagged them and brought them back.
"Good work, High Max. It seems our little contest has ended," Gate said.
"Indeed," Sigma agreed. "This is an unexpected turn of events. One Zero was something, but two fighting along each other?"
"There will be another time perhaps," Gate said.
"Perhaps," Sigma said. "We'll call it a draw."
Back to the group, X was being helped up by Zero.
"Hey, you're quite a warrior," Zero said.
"I'm thinking the same about you," the other Zero said. "It looks like you're a real deal after all."
"Yeah. Nobody but Zero would pull off what you did. It cannot be faked, and it cannot be copied," X said. Sora stepped in.
"Hey, I think you should head up to the SMASH Tower for a bit," Sora said. The second Zero looked at Sora.
"You're not serious, are you?" The second Zero asked.
"He is. I think everyone should hear your half of the story, and we could hear what you have to say," Zero said. The second Zero nodded.
"Okay, you talked me into it," the second Zero said.
Now that the battle between Zeros have been concluded, perhaps this other Zero can shed some light on his origins, and about Neo Arcadia. Just who and what is Neo Arcadia, and how trouble would they spell if they are to join forces with the Brotherhood of Darkness? More to come soon.
