Episode 566: Malamar Strikes Back
A couple of days have passed since they lent Sanpei a hand. So, Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, the Digimon, SEES, and Team Natsu were walking towards Courmarine City as Clemont looked over the map on where they need to go.
"Alright. Here we are, so we'll have to go through Grace Tower, and we can make it to Courmarine City in a matter of days," Clemont said.
"And we can be just in time," Karen said.
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"Well, just as long nothing happens to us along the way," Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"What's so special about a tower in the middle of the forest?" Shinjiro asked.
"It's actually a mountain shaped like a tower. It is said that it has been a landing point for UFO's," Clemont said.
"As in aliens?" Akihiko asked.
"I'd believe that. Especially with the Autobots and Decepticons being here for ten thousand years until they woke up," Sora said.
"You mean those robots that could turn into cars and trucks?" Minato asked.
"That's them. If they continued their war on Earth, they would have made it worse than Cybertron even if Unicron wasn't showing up," Kairi said.
"I'm just glad, because the Decepticons and Unicron are both space dust," Meowth said.
"Yeah. But it was funny to hear how Rainbow Dash was able to beat Starscream and burst his big ego," Ventus said, almost laughing.
"Pika," Sparky said, also almost laughing.
"I just had a thought," Terra said. Everyone turned to Terra. "What if they could be a Cyberonian ship laying in there; Autobot or Decepticon design."
"Chu," Thor said.
"In other words, it could be a friend or an enemy inside of one of those ships," Patamon said.
"And they might not know the difference between the two," Palmon said.
"There's a chance that either they could either in stasis or they might have died in the crash," Terra said.
"If it's an Autobot ship, they might have been searching for the Autobots who went missing, and were sent out to rescue them," Aqua said.
"Pikachu," Eclair said.
"Or it might have been a Decepticon ship searching for the Autobots, and plan to finish them off," Karen said.
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"Maybe, but when we see it, we should approach this delicately, because we don't want to end up on the wrong side of someone's trust," Sora said.
Everyone all agreed with what Sora meant.
Just when they were just about to take off, a Malamar appeared before them. Most of the group flinched.
"What is that?" Guilmon asked.
"A Malamar," Agumon said.
"Oh no! Not one of those!" Ken exclaimed. The six additional Digimon and Team Natsu were confused by what Ken had just said.
"Not one of what?" Gray asked.
"It's okay, Ken. It's not that one Malamar," Sora assured.
"Besides, that one's a girl," Kairi said.
"You had a run-in with one of those before?" Lucy asked.
"We did. That Malamar Ken is talking about is evil. He controlled Sora, SEES, and the Digimon, along with Officer Jenny, making them his own soldiers," Meowth said.
"And also, that Malamar was making some kind of weapon, but he destroyed it and fled," Karen said.
"Malamar," the Malamar said. Three Inkay appeared and fed the Inkay. They saw a lot of Inkay and Malamar living in the forest along with Bidoof, Ledyba, and Flabébé.
"Look at that. They're such good friends," Bonnie said.
"And I think I know who wants to witness this," Sora said. He took out his Pokémon Box and exchanged Bunnelby for Inkay. He brought out Inkay. "Have a look, Inkay. All those Inkay and Malamar are just like you are."
"Inkay," Inkay happily said.
Just then, several trucks came driving right behind them, alerting everyone. The group screamed as they dodged.
"Hey, watch where you're going! You almost hit us!" Sora called out. Sora turned to Inkay and he saw he was freaking out. "What's the matter, Inkay?"
"Man, I'm going to fry that guy!" Natsu said.
"Hopefully, someone will write that guy a ticket," Agumon said. Inkay dashed after the trucks.
"Inkay, where are you going?! Inkay, come back here!" Sora called out, going after Inkay.
The trucks were driving up to Grace Tower, but a mysterious woman is watching the trucks arrive to the mountain.
Back to the group, they continued to chase after Inkay. Sora tried to call Inkay back, but Inkay kept on dodging and dodging.
"Inkay!" Inkay shouted.
"Inkay, slow down!" Sora called out.
"Get a grip, big brother!" Bonnie said.
"I'm trying to catch up," Clemont said.
Sora manages to catch up and caught Inkay in his arms.
"Inkay's what's gotten into you?" Sora asked. "And what are you getting excited about?"
"I have a bad feeling about this," Agumon said. "I'm smelling something awfully familiar."
"You think it's Team Shadow again?" Serena asked.
"I hope not," Kairi said.
"One way to find out," Sora said. Sora, Pikachu, and Inkay went on ahead with Kairi and Angel following them. The rest of the group followed the couple and their Pokémon to the top. They spotted the trucks.
"Look, it's those trucks from a little while ago," Ventus said. The trucks opened and out came what looked like Cybertronian technology. They had both Autobot and Decepticon symbols. Who could have gotten hold of them, and why? What really caught their attention was a large, familiar head. The head of Unicron.
"Is that what I think it is?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Unicron! Or I should say, what's left of him!" Agumon said.
"Look, something's happening," Veemon said.
The parts of Unicron were being lifted by a psychic force and placed down. Just then, three Malamar came out of the trucks. One Malamar was very familiar to the group.
"Sora, it's that Malamar that brainwashed us before!" Agumon growled.
"The evil Malamar you told us about?" Lucy asked.
"That's him," Sora said.
"Malamar," the two Malamar said.
"Excellent, my friends. Our weapon will be ready soon," the leading Malamar said.
"What are they doing with those?" Gray asked.
"You think they're trying to rebuild Unicron?" Biyomon asked.
"If they are, then it can't be good," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"Why would they wanna do that?" Bonnie asked.
"I don't know, and I don't think I wanna know," Sora said. Sora knew it wasn't good for Unicron to be revived, or if he can be. If he does get revived, then Unicron could be planning to finish what he started. Inkay started huff up. "Shh, Inkay. Be quiet."
The three Malamar spotted them.
"It would seems we have visitors," the leading Malamar said.
"They see us!" Meowth exclaimed.
"Capture them," the leading Malamar ordered. The two Malamar went forward to capture the spies.
"Run for it!" Sora said. Natsu was about to fight them, but Erza grabbed him by the scarf and dragged him along, making him choke.
"Can't breathe," Natsu said.
They made a stop and hid in a cave. They waited for the two Malamar to leave. Once they couldn't find them, they pressed on in the search.
"What was that about, Sora? We could have taken them!" Gray said.
"And get brainwashed by that Malamar in the process!" Sora said. "I couldn't risk it!"
"Just like he did with some of us," Veemon said.
"Sora was right. We would have been forced to fight each other," Erza said.
"Inkay must have known that was the same Malamar," Clemont said.
"That's why he went after him," Wendy said.
"Honestly, how could a Pokémon do something like this?" Charla asked.
"Now that we know what's going on, we're have to stop that Malamar and the other two," Sora said.
"Are you alright in there?" A woman's voice asked. Everyone yelped when they heard her.
"Who's there?" Renamon asked.
"It's alright. I'm on your side," the woman said, taking off her disguise.
"Officer Jenny," Sora said.
"It's good to see you all again," Officer Jenny said.
"What are you doing here?" Karen asked.
"I have an idea. It has something to do with that Malamar, doesn't it?" Sora asked.
"Yes. Ever since the radio station incident, I began a secret investigation of my own. I followed his trail from part of the Kalos region to another, only to find that Malamar have been manipulating scientists into doing research on the Autobots and Decepticons, and to pinpoint the exact locations any of their tech. The Malamar have also manipulated construction crews to dig up the remains of the spaceships and used them to build a new weapon. Somehow, that Malamar has found a way to combine the weapon he was working on with alien technology to make his plan more effective," Officer Jenny said.
"Along with the head of Unicron," Mitsuru said.
"I'm not sure what you're talking about, but I have a feeling that might have been unearthed just recently," Officer Jenny said.
"Just how did they get their tentacles on that?" Lucy said.
"I might just be guessing here, but I think that might have crashed somewhere in Kalos right after Unicron and the Decepticons were destroyed, and Malamar has figured it out, and has a nasty plan for it," Sora said.
"I'd call it a good guess," Erza said.
"Also, the Decepticons has built several weapons of mass destruction, so those Malamar could have something planned with them, if they still work," Terra said.
"I don't get it, but I'm scared," Bonnie shivered.
"Denne, ne," Dedenne said.
"No need to be scared. I'll stop them, no matter what their plan may be. I will not let them have their way," Officer Jenny said.
They heard a loud rumble, and the group stepped out and saw Unicron's head floating up in the air.
"Look at that!" Kairi said.
"Unicron!" The group exclaimed.
The two Malamar floats up and chuckled evilly.
"Mar, Malamar, mar," one of the Malamar said.
"So we meet again, intruders," Meowth translated.
"Malamar, Malamar, Mala, Mala, Malamar, Mal," the second Malamar said.
"The final stage of our grand design has begun!" Meowth translated.
"What are you planning to do?!" Sora demanded.
"The two Malamar managed to gain control over Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Serena, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, the Digimon, and SEES while Clemont, Meowth, and Team Natsu are still free. They were about to gain control over them, but Inkay spouts ink in one of their faces.
"We need to get away for the time-bing!" Clemont said.
"They got Sora and the others!" Natsu said.
"Natsu, for once in your life, don't be stupid!" Lucy said.
"We need to retreat!" Wendy said.
"I'm with her," Meowth said.
"Helioptile! Use Dig!" Clemont called out Helioptile. Helioptile digs through the ground. Clemont, Meowth, and Team Natsu goes underneath.
"Sora, hang on! We'll be back to help you!" Lucy said.
"We're counting on you!" Sora said.
They would have gone after them, but they brought their captives to their leader. They float up as the leading Malamar grins.
"Well, isn't this a pleasant surprise? Sora Ketchum and his friends. We meet again, along with another old puppet of mine," the leading Malamar said.
"I haven't forgotten about what you did to me, and what you almost made me do!" Sora yelled.
"Pika!" Pikachu added.
"How is he talking?" Serena asked.
"With that thing," Shinjiro said.
"Just what do you plan to do?" Officer Jenny asked.
"I shall oblige you," the leading Malamar said. He shows the prisoners his plan. "I plan to use the power of this alien technology to turn the entire planet into my own image!"
"How did you come across it to begin with?" Aqua asked.
"I am so glad you asked. Right after our previous encounter, I began to search for other means, and that's when I discovered the remains of a Cybertronian ship. Upon entering it, I knew the alien ship has so much fascinating technology, so my forces and I began to gather as much of the technology we could carry. I was surprised to find this giant beauty has crashed landed very recently, so it played an important role for my grand design," the leading Malamar said. "We used the greatest minds in Kalos to help build it."
"You're going to use the head of Unicron to destroy the world?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Only those who are worthy will be sparred from death, while the weak shall perish; especially the human race and other Pokémon except for Inkay and Malamar," the leading Malamar said.
"No!" Kairi gasped.
"Why not just control us again just like before?" Agumon asked.
"I have learned from my mistake, so I have no intention to repeat if you should remember," the leading Malamar said.
"You won't get away with this! Our friends will come for us!" Guilmon growled.
"I believe I already have," the leading Malamar said, laughing evilly.
Back down to the mountain, Clemont, Meowth, Inkay, and Team Natsu made it out of the tunnel.
"Thanks for the help, Helioptile. Take a good rest," Clemont said, calling back Helioptile.
"That was close," Wendy said.
"Inkay," Inkay huffed.
"I know Inkay wants to get back at that evil Pokémon for what he did to Sora," Natsu said.
"Yeah, he does," Meowth said.
"We should head back up and save them," Gray said.
"Turn that evil squid into fried calamari," Happy said.
"Hold on. Even with science and magic joining forces, we don't stand a chance by ourselves," Clemont said.
"And that's a problem," Wendy said. "We could make contact with the SMASH Tower."
"Unfortunately, that'll be impossible, because Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ven, Terra, Aqua, Riku, and Naminé are the only ones who has access to the SMASH Tower, and we have no means in contacting them," Clemont said.
"Oh, we're screwed," Meowth said.
"Inkay!" Inkay said.
"What do you mean, no we're not?" Meowth asked.
"Inkay, Inkay!" Inkay said, pointing forward. Clemont, Meowth, and Team Natsu followed Inkay into the forest.
A little further, the Inkay, Malamar, Ledyba, Bidoof, and Flabébé were witnessing the head of Unicron floating at the mountain's top. The wild Malamar heard rustling. Sora's Inkay appeared before the wild Pokémon.
"Kay, Inkay!" Inkay said.
"Don't attack us! We're the good guys here!" Meowth said. Inkay floats up to the wild Malamar and starts talking to them.
"I get why Inkay brought us here! He's asking for the help of the forest Malamar," Clemont said.
"How's it going?" Happy asked.
"Not so well. Those Malamar aren't buying that a Malamar is doing this at all," Meowth said.
Just then, they were grabbed by one of the evil Malamar with a Psychic. It then fired a Hyper Beam, scaring the other Pokémon.
"Bastard!" Natsu growled.
"Malamar! Mala, Malamar, mar, mar, Malamar, Mala, Mala, Mala," the Malamar said.
"Meowth, what are is it saying?" Clemont asked.
"He's saying, 'Fellow Pokémon, we offer you the chance to join in on our grand design. Any who refuses will be eliminated'. And that's that!" Meowth translated. The wild Malamar struck back with Night Slash. They struck the evil Malamar, along with the wild Inkay as they fired Flamethrower. He fled back to Grace Tower.
"That was close," Lucy said.
"It looks like they buy the whole evil Malamar thing now," Happy said.
"You have to help us. Two other Malamar are using some kind of device, and he plans to use it to devastate the whole world. And they're holding our friends hostage. Please, help us," Wendy said. The wild Inkay and Malamar nodded and agreed to help. Sora's Inkay smiled and led the attack. Natsu and Wendy flew with Happy and Charla carrying them as the wild Malamar used Psychic to lift up Lucy, Gray, and Erza.
Back on top of the mountain, the Cybertronian technology have begun to activate.
"Malamar, Malamar," the second evil Malamar said.
"Excellent. We are near our goal," the leading Malamar said.
"No," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Soon the age of man will be at an end. And the age of Malamar shall begin," the leading Malamar said.
Just then, a blast is heard. They turned to see Clemont, Sora's Inkay, Meowth, Team Natsu, and the wild Inkay and Malamar coming.
"Here comes the cavalry!" Meowth said.
"Drop me, Happy!" Natsu said
"Aye!" Happy said. Natsu is dropped and he screamed.
"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" Natsu shouted, landing a punch on the second evil Malamar. This caused them to let go of the hostages. The leading Malamar looked on. "You're next!" He came shouting as the leading Malamar uses Psychic to lift him up.
"On the contrary. You are the one that is next," the leading Malamar said. He slams Natsu down on the ground. He then unleashed Dark Pulse at Natsu, hurting him.
"Malamar!" Sora called out. The leading Malamar turned to see Sora and his friends standing before him. "It's over."
"You are too late. Too late to stop what has already begun," the leading Malamar said.
"Not if we take out that monster's head first!" Agumon said. Agumon and the other Digimon started to Digivolve. "Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Gabumon Digivolve to... Garurumon!"
"Biyomon Digivolve to... Birdramon!"
"Tentomon Digivolve to... Kabuterimon!"
"Palmon Digivolve to... Togemon!"
"Gomamon Digivolve to... Ikkakumon!"
"Patamon Digivolve to... Angemon!"
"Gatomon Digivolve to... Angewomon!"
"Veemon Digivolve to... Veedramon!"
"Wormmon Digivolve to... Stingmon!"
"Armadillomon Digivolve to... Ankylomon!"
"Hawkmon Digivolve to... Aquilamon!"
"Guilmon Digivolve to... Growlmon!"
"Terriermon Digivolve to... Gargomon!"
"Renamon Digivolve to... Kyubimon!"

"Everyone! Destroy the Cybertronian tech!" Greymon shouted. "Nova Blast!"

Ikkakumon, "Harpoon Torpedo!"
Angemon, "Hand of Fate!"

The Digimon all fired their attacks and destroyed the Cybertronian technology. Team Natsu and SEES helps in destroying the technology along with them. The leading Malamar attempted to stop them, but Sora's Inkay tackled him to the ground.
"You little nuisance!" The leading Malamar barked.
"Now for Unicron's remains!" Greymon said. Greymon started to Digivolve again. "Greymon Digivolve to... MetalGreymon!" He aimed for Unicron's head. "Without the Dark Spark, Unicron is vulnerable. And I'm going to make sure he stays that way, for good!" MetalGreymon's chest opens up. "Giga Blaster!" MetalGreymon fired at the remains of Unicron, destroying his remains completely. MetalGreymon roared in triumph.
"No!" The leading Malamar exclaimed.
"Face it, Malamar! You lost!" Sora said.
"Not quite!" The leading Malamar said. He attacked with Dark Pulse and aims it at the group.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu blocked with Thunderbolt, resulting in a small explosion.
"Give it up, Malamar," Sora said. "Your weapon was taken down."
"My weapon may have been destroyed, but my goal remains the same," the leading Malamar said. "Come, my friends. For now, we must go underground." The other two Malamar joined their leader and vanished.
"They ran away?" Natsu asked.
"Something's not right," Stingmon said. He hears something. He looked at a small device. It was a bomb, and the countdown starts to go down. "It's a bomb!"
"Malamar must have set it just in case he failed!" Sora said.
"Sora!" MetalGreymon said, grabbing Sora, Kairi, Karen, Pikachu, Angel, Blossom, and Meowth. Natsu rode on Garurumon as Veedramon carried Gray. Everyone started to run as fast as they could. The top of the mountain explodes, making it erupt like a volcano. All of the Digimon reverts back to their previous forms and they sighed in relief.
"Well, the good news is, Malamar's plan has failed," Kotone said.
"The bad news is he got away again," Officer Jenny said.
"What do you think?" Serena asked.
"I don't think we've seen the last of him," Sora said. "You heard what he said. His goal remains the same. He's just gonna try again."
"He said something about going underground?" Gray asked.
"That Malamar is probably cooking up a new plan by now anyway," Officer Jenny said.
"And I have a feeling we will have to show up and put a stop to his evil plans," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Whatever it is, he's going to fail," Sora said.
With that said, they could only hope Malamar doesn't try anything.
Meanwhile in an underground base, Malamar has mugshots of each member of SMASH along with Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Calem, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, the Digimon, SEES, and Team Natsu, along with Team Shadow, and the Brotherhood of Darkness.
"It seems that the face of the enemy have changed. Not only has Sora Ketchum and his friends have escaped my clutches, but they twice foiled my plans. Once is a coincidence, but twice is an annoyance. An annoyance I refuse to tolerate. It has taken me time to scrounge that Cybertronian technology, but it ends up being destroyed in the process. Once Sora Ketchum crosses my path again, and I know he will, he will be dealt with!" The leading Malamar said. "But revenge must be planned with absolute care. I cannot afford to make any mistakes. I must do more research on the matter."
