Hey! it's 'the guy that you probably don't know the name of' here again with another chapter! But, before we get into the better part let's dive into the good part!

The comments!:

RiceCakePlayz - Thanks for the love and the warm words, they help more than you think! ;D

Bucio - Thanks for sharing you opinion on the matter of the presented choices! As to Midoriya's personality, I think that there's nothing wrong with him acting smug from time to time like when Tokage tried to tease him in their Join Battle Training (Arc). Also, I think that it actually suits who he is in this story. The happy guy that can't be easily saddened, but hides behind jokes and smiles.

RandomReader867 - Your kind words are more than welcome! ^^

GunBlade2020 - I was really worried that the fight scene might not work out like I wanted it to, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!

danknibbapaul - I appreciate the enthusiasm? xD In all honesty though, seeing that you spent any amount of time writing a comment means a lot, glad to have you here!

And now, enjoy the chapter!

Uwabami was kind enough to let them sleep in on Friday a bit, since the photo shoots had a tendency to tire out anyone that wasn't used to them.

Why did she agree to accept her offer anyway? She should have known better. Her classmates are probably going to return from their respective internships with some new, improved skills, while she would be stuck the same way she was during the Sports Festival.

Momo was by no means a morning person, though waking up early never really bothered her too. Still, she would prefer not being violently woken up by a shouting Itsuka.

"Momo wake up! You have to see this!", the redhead shouted while shoving something into Yaoyorozu's face.

The Vice Rep of 1-A groaned, but sat up and rubbed the sleepiness out of her eyes. The object turned out to be Kendo's phone with a news article opened. Yaoyorozu took the phone and looked at the title.

"'Hosu under siege!'...", she read aloud and the sleepiness seemed to vanish instantly. Her eyes scanned the article, trying to comprehend the event that happened while she was peacefully asleep. "Secret operation… Many Heroes… Warzone… The Hero Killer?!", Kendo has already read the text twice before, but was unable to keep up with Yaoyorozu's reading speed.

Momo quickly put Itsuka's phone onto her nightstand and grabbed her own. As she expected, the chat was one giant mess. She scrolled to the first message that was sent over three hours ago.

Chargebolt: Holy fuck, Iida you alive?

Pinkie: What's up?

Chargebolt: Hosu under siege

Chargebolt: Read it

Pinkie: Holy fuck, Iida you alive?!

Tsukuyomi: That truly sounds like trouble

Yaoyorozu read through the messages as everyone displayed their worry for the safety of their classmate. Finally, after almost one and a half hours have passed since the initial message, Iida replied.

Tenya: I'm alright

Tenya: Also, Chargebolt Pinkie language!

Chargebolt: You have no right to reprimand me when you make us worry so fucking much dude :/

Earphone Jack: I have to agree with this dumbass

Earphone Jack: And I don't do that very often

Tenya: I'm sorry for making you worried

Tenya: But I'm okay thanks to Midoriya

"What does Izuku have to do with all of this…?", the raven haired girl thought for a second, before her phone vibrated with a new message in the 1-A chat.

Red Riot: guys

Red Riot: turn on the news

Red Riot: they're talking about Hosu!

Momo read the message and instantaneously started looking for the remote. Thankfully, Kendo decided to invade the privacy of her class' chat and was reading over her shoulder. She made a quick dash to her side of the room and turned the TV on.

As soon as they switched to the news, they saw a young reporter animatedly talking about the Hosu incident.

"-became an absolute warzone. Unsightly beasts along with gangs of Villains plagued the streets of Hosu and terrorised the local populace. Heroes have been aware of their plan, but didn't warn the citizens. Care to explain why the civilians weren't evacuated Mr. Tsuragamae?"

The camera pointed to the right and a tall, dog headed man came into view.

"The organization behind this attack was planning this move for a few weeks. We were worried that if we suddenly evacuated everyone, the Villains wouldn't follow through with their plan. It was a brilliant occasion to learn something about this new organization and the police force couldn't pass up such an opportunity"

"Does this mean that the citizens were merely a bait?", the reported questioned. That was the one thing that Momo hated about most news stations. They seemed to put everyone in bad light no matter the situation.

"Of course not. We put together a sizeable group of various Heroes from across the country. Heroes like Endeavour and Ryukyu were involved in this operation in order to ensure the safety of local populace", the Chief explained without a single slip up, clearly used to the provocative media.

"Ah, yes Heroes. From what we managed to discover, not only fully licensed Pros were involved, is that true?"

"The group was evenly split between Pros and Sidekicks from a wide range of agencies across the country"

"And what about interns?", the question came too quickly to be thought up on the spot. The whole conversation seemed to be planned out to lead to this point.

The suit wearing man sighed aloud and his straight posture slumped a bit.

"That's true. Five interns from UA were involved in the incident along the licensed Heroes"

"And two of them have almost lost their lives when they clashed with the infamous Hero Killer! What were you thinking putting such young people on the line?! One of the injured teens is here with me, would you like to elaborate on the incompetence of the police?"

The camera spun to the other side of the reporter to show an armor wearing teenager. The black shirt along with the bulletproof vest was almost as recognizable to Momo as the green color of his hair or the freckles on his cheeks.

"Midoriya!", Momo screamed internally and her heart started beating faster with worry.

"First of all I would like to clarify something", he started and Yaoyorozu swore that she saw him glare at the reporter for a split second. "The Pro Hero I was interning under didn't force me to come with him to Hosu. What's more, he discouraged me several times, but I wanted to join this operation, so I did. Also, only four interns were involved. The fifth one was simply interning under a Pro in Hosu and had no idea about anything that was going to happen this night"

"If the police force is so competent, then how did you end up having to face the infamous Hero Killer: Stain?", this interview stopped being one long ago. Now it was just a video of the female throwing accusations left and right. Momo had no idea why some people acted like complete dicks and tried to ruin everyone they met.

"Tenya, the Hosu intern", Midoriya clarified and continued his explanation, "was tasked with escorting the wounded Pro Hero Native to a first aid point, which shows that the Pro tried to keep his intern out of the harm's way. Unfortunately they were targeted by the Hero Killer. Meanwhile, the Pro I was interning under ordered me to locate Tenya and Native since none of them responded to the attempts of contacting them"

"Still, defeating Stain must really give you a boost to your confi-", she was about to probably butter the greenette up, before making another assumption, but Midoriya, surprisingly cut her off.

"Woah, woah, woah, slow down. I didn't DEFEAT the Hero Killer. I fought only to STALL and give the Pros time to find me. I sent out a distress signal before engaging him. You try to make the police force and even the Pros seem incompetent, so let me tell you something. If it weren't for their quick response time, then me, Tenya and Native would've surely died a couple of hours ago. I owe my life to them, as do all the citizens of Hosu. You were never a bait, you are the reason why Heroes risk so much to protect lives of the innocent, so stop making everyone look bad for your selfish gains!"

Cybrex decided that he had enough of the interview and swiftly walked away with the camera following him. Something told Midoriya to do something spectacular, so he did.

He lifted his right arm into the air and activated his Quirk, the yellow lightning surrounding his clenched fist, as he walked away from the reporter. This single image was all over the internet before noon, usually accompanied by the words 'you were never the bait' and the hashtag 'HosuHero'.

The interview was chaotic enough that Midoriya's name was never dropped on TV. This prompted many, MANY people to speculate about the teen's identity. Some, notably more reliable news stations, that covered this incident dedicated an entire section of their articles to the green haired hero in training.

The Intern, To match the Killer or Upcoming Star are some of the exemplary titles given to Midoriya's section. There were also… tabloids… with Green or red hot? and Hottest catch yet?

Yeah, we don't talk about tabloids much.

"Nice job Midoriya", Aizawa commented once the green haired teen was a considerable distance away from the reporter and her crew. "I'm sorry for throwing you under the bus there", the man apologized.

"Nah, I would have to learn how to deal with media someday anyway, it's just a learning experience!", the teen exclaimed with a smile.

"Sometimes I wonder if you don't have a second Quirk that forces you to see positives in every situation you find yourself in", the night time Pro joked and Midoriya chuckled.

"I think that I'm going to start wondering about that too", he commented and sighed in content.

"I know that you didn't have time to let your friends know that you are alright, but there's someone else that wants to see you", Aizawa stated and Midoriya looked at him questioningly. "Blackout?", the Pro said as if it was the most obvious answer, which, quite frankly, it was. It was so obvious in fact, that Cybrex couldn't help but facepalm.

"I completely forgot to talk to him!", he exclaimed and started running towards the hospital. "Thanks for the reminder Mr Aizawa!", the teen looked back briefly to shout his thanks with a smile before rushing into the building.

"No problem, Problem Child…", Eraserhead smirked as he continued his slow trek inside.

"You stupid, irresponsible brat!", came the harsh voice of one Shihai Kairo. "I was so fucking worried! If anything happened to you then your parents would sue me for everything I own and then some!", the aforementioned Pro was currently crying profusely while crushing his intern in a tightest bearhug to ever bear.

"If you don't let him breathe then something really might happen to him", pointed out Kuse that was standing a little behind her brother and was currently trying not to drop onto the floor laughing.

Blackout listened to his sister's warning and let go of the green haired teen, who started taking deep, DEEP breaths to compensate for his current lack of oxygen.

"And here I was thinking that Werebear had the tightest bearhugs in the world…", the teen joked as his breathing slowly evened out.

"You calm now Kai?", Kuse asked with a smile as her brother stretched himself a bit.

"Calmer", he answered briefly before turning back to Midoriya. "But seriously, I'm glad that you're alright. And I'm sorry that because of this whole mess your internship wasn't as educational as it should've been", the blue haired man did a ninety degree bow that would put Tenya to shame as he apologized to his intern.

"Are you kidding me?", the teen in question retorted. "Thanks to you not trying to desperately shield me from danger I learned so much! And you helped me utilize my power in a better way! Besides, it's only Friday morning so we still have almost a day left!", the greenette pointed out with excitement.

"You… don't want to kick back and relax after all of this?", Kuse questioned with worry in her voice.

"My fight with the Hero Killer made me realize how weak I am. If I waste time that I could use to improve myself then how could I save anyone from harm?", Midoriya said with determination and resolve.

Blackout stayed silent for a few moments. His intern never ceased to amaze him. Most teens his age would love nothing more than to just take a couple of days of after having a very close meeting with death. But not this teen. Midoriya used this as a motivator for himself and wanted to improve himself even further. Kairo saw many Heroes across the world fall because their confidence surpassed their competence. He was happy knowing that his intern won't grow up to be one of them.

"Alright then, let's go back to the agency", he smiled and led the way as the trio headed towards the nearest train station.

It was already noon when they made it and were met by every employee of Blackout's Hero Agency that wasn't currently on patrol. Praises and applause were flung their way upon entry as soon as they stepped into the building.

Someone brushed against Midoriya, but vanished before the boy had a chance to apologize for bumping into them. Though he felt something in his hand. He raised the mysterious object to his eyes to inspect it. It was a piece of paper. With a phone number, the words 'call me' and a smiley face on it.

"Go get her tiger!", Nana squealed inside his head and Midoriya could already feel the migraine coming, but he smiled nonetheless.

It was around 5 PM when Cybrex met up with the Shihai siblings for some afternoon training. While determination was practically flowing out of the green haired boy, the trio decided unanimously that they shouldn't do anything strenuous, since it was almost the weekend and they did an excellent job on their not-so-secret-anymore mission.

Kuse was almost sad to watch Midoriya go, he spent most of his time with her and her brother and she basically already adopted him as a younger brother. If his hair was brighter then they would even look like family! She sighed and took the two coffees to Blackout's office.

The interns were meant to return to the dorms over the weekend depending on the availability of transport and their mentors' plans.

The vividly haired Heroine walked into her brother's office and saw him with an unusually serious expression.

"What has you so grim in the morning, oh dear brother of mine~?", she hummed as she made her way over to him. He wasn't much of an early riser, more like a night owl, which made him the exact opposite of Kuse, but he never was so grim in the morning.

"I'm just debating something, is all…", he answered, his eyes not leaving the piece of paper on his desk.

Kuse put the coffees on the desk before walked behind her brother to look over his shoulder. She scanned the document in front of him and her eyes widened.

"Are you really thinking to offer him this?!", she exclaimed with a wide smile. She liked Midoriya, he was funny and her boundless energy didn't put him off, nor did her quirky brother.

Instead of replying to Kuse, Kairo took out his phone and sent his soon-to-be-ex intern asking him to come to his office. Midoriya made his way to his mentor in just over five minutes.

"You wanted to speak with me?", the greenette asked as he walked up to the desk.

"I wouldn't call you if I didn't want to, right?", Kairo joked and chuckled.

"Wait, Ryukyu didn't come to exact revenge did she?!", he exclaimed in panic and started frantically looking around.

The Shihai siblings burst out laughing at his reaction and didn't calm down until Kuse saw him pouting in their direction, at which point she decided to clarify the situation with the Dragon Hero.

"Kai told her that he would take full responsibility if anything happened to you and she backed off", she explained with a smile.

"I still can't believe that you managed to escape one of the Top 10 Heroes in the country!", Blackout managed to say in between his chuckles. "The reason I called you here before you go is a bit more… selfish", the Pro stated and a look of confusion made its way onto Midoriya's face.

"Selfish?", he questioned, positively puzzled.

"Have you heard about Hero Work-Studies?", Kairo asked and explained upon seeing his intern shake his head. "Work-studies are very similar to internships, but are also very different at the same time. Work-studies are a voluntary activity that you can decide to partake in if you managed to earn your Provisional License. If you agree to do a work-study in an agency, then you will be treated as a normal employe, which means more responsibilities and payment for your job. They cut into your schoolwork as you can get called in at any time, so usually only the most ambitious and gifted students decide to partake in this project"

"Okay, I think I get the gist of it, but… why are you telling me all of this?"

"That's because I would like to offer you a Hero Work-Study at my agency of course!", the Pro exclaimed and presented the document to him. It turned out to be a work-study contract.

"R-really?!", the greenette shouted and took the document into his hands with excitement.

"Of course! You proved that you are an excellent hero material and I would love to see you grow! Maybe even employ you as soon as you graduate!"

"That's awesome!"

Kuse started chuckling to herself as she saw the two talk with each other animatedly. She almost felt bad for interrupting… almost.

"Before that happens though, you have to pass the Provisional License Exam first", she reminded him and their excitement seemed to die down somewhat.

"I just have to work extra hard to do so!"

"I'm sure that you will make it", Kairo stated with a smile. "And until that happens, this contract will be waiting for you patiently"

"Thank you for everything!", Midoriya bowed with a wide grin on his face.

"Thank you for putting trust in me", Blackout said back as he ruffled the greenette's hair. "Give us a call once in a while"

"I will. I promise"

To say Momo was disappointed in her internship would be an understatement. Uwabami basically told them that they were free to leave after yesterday's photoshoot. If it wasn't so late in the evening, then the girls would probably return to UA on Friday night.

Though Momo was glad that she waited, because this way she could meet up with Jiro and Ashido on the train station in Musutafu before heading to the dorms. She bid Kendo farewell and waited patiently as her two other friends arrive.

She didn't have to wait that long, seeing as not even an hour passed and the three girls were already walking up the steps to their dorms.

"Man, it will be nice to finally relax a bit!", Mina exclaimed happily, though Jiro didn't share her enthusiasm, since something was visibly troubling her raven haired friend.

"You alright Momo?", the rocker asked and Yaoyorozu flinched a bit.

"I'm just worried about Midoriya…", she admitted and averted her gaze from her two friends, a light blush forming on her face.

"Hmm… I saw that he was online, but he has yet to read the class chat", Mina hummed aloud.

"I just hope that he's alright…", the heiress said as she stepped through the door to the freshmen Hero Course dorms, Jiro and Ashido following closely behind her.

"Who's alright?", they heard someone ask and their heads snapped comically in the direction of the speaker.

There, on the couch, laid Midoriya Izuku, wearing a pair of black shorts and a green shirt that had the word 'relax' on it. He was holding a book with his right hand and his left was currently under his head. He smiled at the new arrivals.

"Well, will I get an answer?", he joked and chuckled.

Yaoyorozu felt a couple of tears gather in the corners of her eyes as she spotted him, alive and well. Her luggage was quickly forgotten as she nearly leapt in his direction. The greenette panicked slightly, but his enhanced perception allowed him to toss his book onto the coffee table in front of the couch and prep his hands to catch the ballistic missile currently headed for him.

The raven haired hero in training landed directly on top of him and hugged the teen with all of her might. "I was so worried after I heard that you were involved in the Hosu Incident. Kyoka said that it was super scary!", she admitted and a few tears dropped onto his exposed neck.

Midoriya was caught of guard by the statement, but adjusted quickly and looked over to the two girls standing at the doorway. Both were grinning in his direction and Mina was looking like she was about to explode. The greenette narrowed his eyes at them and looked towards the stairs.

Thankfully, Jiro managed to get the message, because she picked up Yaoyorozu's bag and dragged Ashido upstairs, leaving the pair alone on the couch.

"I'm sorry Momo", he whispered softly as one of his arms made its way around her waist, while the other one started gently stroking her head. His mom used to calm him down like that when he woke up because of a nightmare… "Mom…", the teen thought to himself.

His parents called him right before his interview yesterday to make sure that he was alright. He felt terribly knowing that his mom had to worry so much because of him. At least she had dad to cheer her up.

"And I can take care of Momo…", he didn't know why, but the thought made him smile. He didn't mind helping his friends through hardships.

As it turned out, this wasn't the last show of affection for the day. Iida returned around noon, by which point Uraraka was already back. Suffice to say, he was tackled to the ground by Ochaco the moment she saw him.

The brunette clinged to him for dear life, something that was seen by EVERY member of 1-A and some of 1-B. Midoriya never saw such a deep shade of red on anyone's face before and he was pretty sure that he never will again.

Other students of 1-A also expressed their relief upon his and Midoriya's return and by the time the sun set, everything went back to normal. Unless you count a blushing and stuttering Momo as something abnormal that is.

The forty students decided unanimously to relax on Sunday and as such most of them got up just in time for dinner. The day went as quickly as it came and the school started up again with the arrival of Monday.

They walked into their homeroom with renewed energy and were met by Aizawa already in the classroom. Once everyone was inside, the Pro hit a button on his desk and their hero costumes emerged from the wall.

"Put them on and meet me at Ground Gamma, let's see how you improved over the course of this week", he stated and walked out of the room as his students went over to grab their respective cases.

Their homeroom teacher's statement definitely had his class wondering just how they were going to gauge their progress? They didn't come up with any reasonable answer, so they just waited patiently for Aizawa to explain it to them.

"We are going to contact a quick exercise. Somewhere in there is a mannequin", Eraserhead started explaining while pointing at the closed gate behind him. "You will be divided into four groups of five and race, battle royale style, to its location"

The groups were quickly picked out and everyone went to their respective starting points.

"It's time to prove that Blackout taught me well!", Midoriya thought to himself with a determined smile.

As it turns out, Blackout did teach him well, because Midoriya was the second fastest student, losing only with Sero who managed to swing his way to victory like a japanese Spiderman!

"I'm satisfied with your progress… for the most part", Aizawa summed up the exercise when they went back to their classroom. "Also, the classes will be a little bit more relaxed due to the School Festival being right around the corner. You better use the time to plan what you are going to show for it and not slack off", he stared at some of the worse students in class, who collectively shivered under his gaze. "That's all, you are free until lunch", and with that, they all stood up and made their way outside to catch some fresh air.

"School Festival, huh…?"
