[Insert my usual greeting here] (Yes, it's a joke, I'm not THAT lazy) with another chapter!
Without further ado, the comments!:
RandomReader867 - And the title of the greatest matchmaker of the year goes to... Toru of the Snoring Sleep! Thanks for the comment!
Bucio - You wanted reactions and reactions you'll get mister! And don't be sorry for being either too pessimistic or too optimistic. I enjoy reading theories and watching all of you trying to figure stuff out, it's entertaining and sometimes gives me new ideas! Also, happy end is guarranted, but there are different paths leading to it. As to events of the first movie. This is the chapter, where I drop a hint the size of a skyscraper as to if I-Island will be included here ;D I might include Bakugo and Kodai getting together in some sort of an epilogue, because I like the idea, especially with the Kodai in this story
Lioth - I'm going to guess that you've read further than chapter one and figured out that Midoriya is not going to become a Spartan. He's more of an Adam Jensen in this story. Speaking of which, I should probably get around to introducing some more plot characters... probably.
BoredKing - I'm sorry that you feel dissapointed in how the story is written, I do admit that the first chapters are kinda whack, but I promise that it gets better! Hopefully. Besides, I couldn't just turn him into half machine at the start and have him master everything in one chapter. You can move twice as fast, but you gonna hit a wall or seven if your brain can't react twice as fast to your movements. Anyway, I hope that the 'prologue' didn't stop you from reading the rest of this story.
GunBlade2020 - I swear if you ever start your comment with 'Hello there' I will list you here as 'General Kenobi'. I'm glad you liked the fluff, because there's more of it!
CarEnthusiast - No need to thank me ;D Also, I'm already planning on how to traumatize those two in the future, so I spared them having Mina give them PTSD after finding them in each others arms, so that I can give them PTSD later! Talk about being merciful!
And now the chapter!
Being a hero in training was a stressful and tiring task. Especially if you always went out of your way to help your classmates out with little to no regard about your own well-being. This led to Midoriya getting rather comfortable with sleep deprivation, energy drinks and pushing through the pain.
Imagine how surprised he was, when he woke up on a couch with a tingling sensation in his head and feeling very, very warm. And that wasn't even the most important thing! He wasn't tired! And he felt like he had gotten at least ten hours of sleep, which he knew was impossible, since he slept seven hours at most. Nana made sure to wake him up whenever he crossed the threshold.
So why didn't she wake him up right now? She was acting all kinds of wonky for quite some time now and he didn't like it one bit.
The green haired student was about to get up, but was stopped by the added weight on his chest.
He finally opened his eyes and was met with a sight that he was pretty sure was instantly etched in his memory.
Yaoyorozu always had this aura of maturity and elegance about her, but she looked so peacefully when she slept. And the small smile on her face was to die for.
Midoriya didn't know what came over him all of a sudden, but he lifted one hand off of her back and tucked some rogue strands of her black hair back behind her ear, touching her cheek in the process. The moment she chased after his hand was the most precious sight of this morning.
He decided to just lay there, with Momo sleeping peacefully on his face, under the blanket that was thrown over them as his mind went over the events of the previous day.
And then the gears in his head started turning.
And then they ground to a halt.
He didn't remember ever even grabbing a blanket to start with. So unless Momo created it in her sleep, which was a possibility, since some people had sleep walked and used their Quirk on accident, that left only one scenario.
There was a third party involved, but who?
Ashido and Tokage were both out immediately, since they would probably freak out about them and wake at least him up in the process.
So it must've been someone that was kind enough to find a blanket for them and didn't like gossiping.
Wait… Ah, the more he thought about it, the more it became easier to see who the culprit was.
"I'll have to thank Nejiro later…", he thought and relaxed, closing his eyes and leaning back onto the couch.
Only his trusted maid could've known where to find a blanket and would go out of her way to cover them with it.
Momo woke up feeling as if she slept on a cloud with the sun warming her up constantly. It was so cozy and warm and perfect… She hadn't slept that good since moving to the dorms. Her bed there was very comfortable, but it couldn't hold a candle to the one in her mansion.
Speaking of which, she didn't remember going back home last night.
Last night…
Last… night…
And then it hit her.
She sat up quickly and looked at what she thought was her bed.
The source of her warmth was the man that she was currently straddling. She had to admit, the peaceful expression on Midoriya's face was so different from the big, encouraging grin that he usually carried with him at all times.
It made this moment even more precious to her.
Her face was already flushed from the position she found herself in, but the memories of yesterday brought even more heat to her features.
She found herself touching her neck where she remembered, very vividly, getting kissed by him. One of his hands was almost touching her behind and she almost giggled.
She should have been embarrassed at the memory of him exploring her body like he did, but she was too happy for that right now.
Momo looked down at her crush one more time before sighing contently and carefully laying back down so as not to rouse him from his slumber. The woman smiled softly and closed her eyes, intent on going back to sleep.
She was almost out again, but then Midoriya started moving and she was suddenly very much aware that they were about to have a very awkward conversation.
Yaoyorozu had only a couple of seconds before Izuku's eyes opened slightly and he glanced at her. His mouth stretched in a small smile the moment he saw that she was awake.
"Good morning Momo", he whispered and stretched with a satisfied groan.
"G-good morning", she answered, her face already flushed again.
"Did you sleep well?", the man asked and she had no choice but to hide her face in the crook of his neck just like she did yesterday.
"Yes", she confirmed and smiled, inhaling the scent of his shampoo.
"I'm glad to hear that"
And for a few minutes, they said nothing else, opting to just lay and enjoy the moment. But, as with all good things, it had to end at some point. Midoriya sighed before speaking up.
"I don't really want to do this, but we should probably get up before Mina catches us and wakes up the whole neighbourhood", the greenette joked and they both chuckled.
"You're right, as per usual", she reluctantly agreed and slowly straddled him once again. "But before we do… I want to ask you something…"
"I thought so", he said and motioned for her to continue.
"What are we doing to do with… us?", she asked while averting her gaze.
"It's pretty clear that we both remember the events that led to us waking up like this, which means that both of us remember the wine we drank", Midoriya started and Momo didn't like his way of thinking one bit.
She was about to interrupt him, but he silenced her with a gesture.
"But, I did enjoy it. And I think that you are very attractive and… and I like you. But we have our Finals coming up, so we should probably focus on that. Besides, there shouldn't be anything major happening after that, so we will have enough time to figure this out"
"I, I see where you are going with this. I can work with this. As you said, Finals are nothing to sneeze at, so we should focus on passing and then come back to this", he liked her and she liked him, so all she had to do now was wait for him to be ready!
She knew that becoming a hero was his dream and she didn't want to selfishly endanger his dreams. He worked too hard to be denied right now.
"Let me give you something to make the wait a bit more bearable", he whispered right into her ear, she didn't even notice when he sat up, and then kissed her on the cheek, which in turn made her a blushing mess of happy.
Yeah, she could wait to get more of this in the future. It was SO worth it.
"Good morning class", greeted Aizawa as he walked into the classroom on Monday. "First, I'd like you to congratulate on your play being so successful. Be ready to deal with fans and fangirls, since the event was transmitted just like the Sports Festival", he smirked as he saw the terrified faces of the actors plus Jiro.
"I played in front of a camera?!", she yelled, her jacks going haywire and Denki trying, failing, to calm her down.
"Not gonna lie, I completely forgot about the fact that the news were roaming the Festival and since our play was the last event of the day, it was almost guaranteed that some of them would come to watch", Midoriya stated while scratching his chin.
"Don't let the fame go to your head", the homeroom teacher warned his students. "You still have your finals in a month", he reminded them. "It's different for every class, so don't try asking your seniors, since it can turn out to be misleading. Train hard and give it your all"
His students started whispering enthusiastically about the specifics of the exam and Aizawa couldn't stop himself to make their lives a bit more entertaining. For himself that is.
"Also, don't forget to study for the theoretical portion", he grinned at the collective groan. "I love my job"
"We have everything catalogued and ready to begin further experiments. 'Downpour' and 'Crackle' are synthesized in 67% and 'Seismic' is 5% ahead of them", the report satisfied the lead scientist. "What are we to do with the Lab Rat?"
"Leave him be. Terminate the monitoring connection and scrap everything that could be traced back to us", he commanded and stood up, about to leave his office to personally check on their progress.
"Is it really a good idea Richie? What if he finds out what we're up to and makes the connection between you and High-Tech?", worry in the man's voice was clearly audible.
"We may have used him as a lab rat, but he's still my friend's son god damnit!", Richie snapped, before taking a few moments to calm himself down. "If he ever starts posing a threat to our operation, then we will deal with him. We are trying to create a better tomorrow, killing a kid won't exactly make us look like the good guys", the man joked before making for the door once again.
"Breaking into UA wouldn't do that too, but we did it…", the researcher wisely kept the comment to himself, before proceeding with his superiors orders.
Richie navigated the numerous corridors of their research facility as it was commonly called and was well on his way towards their bio-engineering section when a sudden thought crossed his mind.
The scientist made a one eighty turn and took a left at an intersection that he passed a few seconds earlier. Sounds of heavy machinery and clanking of metal quickly rose in volume as he neared his impromptu destination.
The R&D Department.
He was spotted upon entrance by one of their main engineers, who wiped his grease stained hands on his pants and approached him.
"Doctor", he greeted him simply with a nod and gestured for Richie to follow him.
They entered a small chamber that separated the 'dirty' Manufactory from the 'clean' Workshop. The sound proofed walls completely muffled the loud noises of the running machinery, allowing for a quiet working environment.
"How are the bodies?", the lead scientist asked as they neared the robotics focused part of the R&D Department.
"The internals are all done. We've implemented additional vibration dampeners on 'Seismic's vessel, which should make him much more resistant against tremors. 'Downpour' is currently bathed in corrosion suppressing amalgam and should be ready to be waterproofed in the next twenty four hours. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for the shipment of the insulation and hyper capacitors for 'Crackle', but it is scheduled to arrive sometime this week", the engineer reported as they entered the main office of the Department.
"That's good… How is our man inside Detnerat doing?"
"She's doing great actually. She was assigned to work on some special project in their secret bio-lab and the data she provided confirmed your suspicions. Detnerat have definitely been involved in creating the so-called Nomus observed in Hosu some time ago. The vessels were grown in vats, cell by cell while the Quirks were acquired from human subjects. We don't know how they managed to extract Quirks from human bodies yet, but the name Daruma Ujiko is thrown around in the documents often"
"Did you run his name through the database?", Richie asked after thinking about this whole ordeal for a few moments.
"We did, but had no hits so far. It's highly probable that it's not his real name, but we have nothing else to go off of, so the man is an unsolvable mystery for the time being", the man shared.
It was likely that this Daruma Ujiko found a way of extracting and implementing Quirks, allowing for them to be transferred between bodies. It could've been an interesting asset to acquire had they not been so successful in creating their own Artificial Quirks.
"It doesn't matter if he exists or not. We have no need for his skills, no matter what they are. The First Batch is more than halfway done and we are getting closer and closer to our goal by the minute! Just you wait David Shield… I will prove to you that machine can achieve much, much more than a pathetic human ever could!"
"Midoriya!", the greenette averted his gaze from his classmates and turned around to face the person that called out to him.
He was surprised to see his homeroom teacher - Aizawa - standing at the entrance to Gym Beta, where both class 1-A and 1-B students gathered for their daily training. Not all forty students participated, but the majority decided to better themselves alongside their friends and get to know each other.
It was also a good way for the classes to mingle with each other and build cohesion between the two groups.
Midoriya was one of the students that sacrificed some of his own training time to overwatch their peers and offer input or advice.
The greenette placed the notebook he was holding on a nearby bench and jogged towards the double doors to meet his teacher, who motioned for his students to follow him outside.
"I need a favor", the tired hero started once they were out of the building. "Can you cover for me tomorrow morning during the homeroom? Make sure that Bakugo doesn't break something or antagonize someone. Again", he explained.
His student was for the most part surprised by the request and decided to voice his thoughts. "Shouldn't you be asking a fellow faculty member about stuff like that?", he questioned and looked at his teacher.
"Normally yes, but you're by far the most rational student in this school and it's only homeroom, so I decided to approach you first. You'll formally lead the group of your fellow students. Think of it as a leadership exercise, which could be a valuable lesson for your future Pro Hero career or something. I don't care as long as you do it"
Midoriya started thinking on the subject, before Nana flashed him a few images that he saved in his archive and he smirked. Aizawa didn't like this smirk.
"Say… This wouldn't have anything to do with your late night pa-strolls would it?", the smirk turned into a grin halfway through the sentence.
Now it was Aizawa's turn to be surprised, not that he showed it on the outside. Midoriya may have been one of his most trusted students, but he had an image to uphold.
"I don't know what you're talking about", he deflected with a straight face.
"Really now?"
"Don't push your luck problem child", Aizawa growled whilst he started sweating mentally. When did 1-A's Class Rep become a part time detective?
"Pushing my luck is a second nature to me sir", Izuku saluted with a more relaxed facial expression, the grin fading back into an eager smile. "I'll gladly cover for you"
"Thank you", the teacher said - relieved - and turned to leave.
He didn't go far as he heard Midoriya call out after him.
"Have fun on your patrol sir!", and with that he vanished back inside.
"Fuckin' problem child…", Aizawa thought to himself, but could't stop a proud smirk from forming on his face. "If one overly intelligent teenager is enough to scare then maybe I really should consider retiring?", he wondered and chuckled dryly.
Where's Aizawa vanishing to? Who is this mysterious Richie? And- wait a minute... It's too soon. Banter time!
Bucio - Yes, I'll be including I-Island in this story. But with my major twist to it.
Three more Synthetic Quirks, something about robots, Detnerat and Daruma Ujiko? Nomus, Quirks, undercover agents, industrial espionage and David Shield? What? What's going on? That's probably what you all are thinking right now. I don't blame you, I just crammed like a lot of new things into a single part of one chapter! Talk about dynamized development huh?!
So... I should probably explain things a bit, huh?
But I'm not going to! I'm Chaotic Neutral like that. At least I think I'm Chaotic Neutral... Anyways. I like reading your theories, so I'll let you try and figure this shit out on your own since it's all going to be explained some time in the future.
Like, when the androids start looking like humans and Midoriya goes to I-Island during summer vacation next year... Ups, just dropped this information here, hope no one noticed.
Anyway. I'm going to get my sleep deprived ass out of here and let you enjoy rest of your (hopefully) wonderful day! See you next time everyone!
