On a normal morning in the streets Nowhere ,we find Gavin the girls and Courage exiting a grocery store carrying all their groceries to the truck. As they begin to load all their groceries in ,Gavin says to his girls "thanks again for coming with me girls, it's nice to have some additional help." Katy putting in the last bag, sarcastically says "its no problem, I mean it's not like I have any friends here I could be hanging out with!" Gavin however does not hear her ,because he was busy helping Madeline with her seatbelt saying "that's nice dear."
After he finished putting all their groceries in the cart just before Gavin can get back into the truck, his attention was caught off guard by a very interesting looking car that passed them. It was a fancy red sports car which looked to seat four people, the headlights on the car resembled sharp triangles pointing at each other ,and the tires show to have unique looking hubcaps designed to look like fan blades . Gavin could not believe his eyes at what he is witnessing ,who could own such a car he wondered ,and for that matter how or where did he get it? Courage on the other hand was also in disbelief when he as well as Gavin see who the driver exiting the car was.
It was a white duck that was bigger than a garden bush, with bright blue eyes ,blue hair and blue webbed feet and wearing a blue bowtie ,someone Courage unfortunately knew too well. When the driver takes notice of Gavin, he asks "qu'est-ce que c'est you like what you see do you not?" Gavin retracted a good distance from him ,as he begins to stumble on his words. Luckily the said driver cuts him off and comments "I see you admire the car yes ,you wish to purchase the car, you will do anything for the car correct?" Gavin simply nods his head ,saying "it's a fine piece of work mister...?"
"Le Quack Monsieur, simply call me Le Quack: Car Entrepreneur" the duck says, introducing himself to the man. Gavin shakes his feathered hand ,replying "it's nice meeting you Mr. Le Quack", reiterating what a nice car Le Quack had. Le Quack rolls his eyes at this, before he says to him "I warn you sir, the car she is not cheap, it is how you say thirty grand and this includes repairs ,and the full tank of nitro fuel." Gavin was taken aback by the insane price ,as he says "thirty million dollars! There's no way I can come up with that kind of money!" Gavin hangs his head in defeat ,apologizes to Le Quack for wasting his time ,and says to his girls "come on girls let's go home."
As they family was about to leave however ,Le Quack would then say "however" getting Gavin's attention ,as Le Quack would say "we can work out a payment plan no?" When Gavin hears this ,he perks up with interest as he turns his attention back to Le Quack asking "does that mean you're going to give me the car?" Despite Courage's warning attempts, Gavin ignores him as Le Quack Explains his offer "Oi Monsieur ,all I ask is that you be my own personal driver for maybe a couple months when I need you, you see a chauffeur if you will." Despite the girls confusion as well as Courage's concern, Gavin simply accepts the offer without hesitation, once again shaking hands with the fancy duck who then says "then it is settled ,the car she is yours" unbeknownst to him of Le Quack slowly developing a very sinister grin upon his face.
The next day at the farm while the family has breakfast, Gavin is seen dressed in a fine blue suit and red tie walking into the kitchen to greet his family. Muriel noticing what he's wearing comments "well don't ya look fancy today", which Gavin says "thank you mother, I'm going to be going out today." Hearing this Muriel would ask "without eating breakfast? I made ya that cheese and spinach omelette you like so much." Gavin simply replies "no thank you mother ,I have to meet with someone at a very specific time today."
Eustace overhearing this says "well if he aint eating his breakfast, then I am!" With that said Eustace takes his breakfast and starts eating ,which no one seems to pay any mind to strangely enough. As soon as Gavin was out of the house ,Gina would then notice Gavin driving a fancy new car, which Gina out of curiosity asks Katy if she noticed anything odd about Gavin as Katy would reply with a simple shrug ,while texting on her phone. Slightly glaring at her says "honestly Katy, at least look at me when I talk to you" making Katy look up to her and shrug ,before she returns to texting much to her mother's annoyance, as she sits at the table for breakfast.
By the time Gavin drives his new car to the city as well as the address where he was expected to meet Le Quack, he notices to his surprise the anthropomorphic duck sitting on what appears to be a large briefcase waiting for him. After greeting the feathered animal, Gavin would ask him "you have a big business meeting today Mr. LeQuack?" The small duck placing the briefcase in the backseat of the car, responds " you can say that ,I hope you won't make me regret giving you my vehicle" in which Gavin replies "oh no no sir ,I promise" just as LeQuack walks to the passenger seat. Once LeQuack was seated ,LeQuack gives Gavin a brief explanation on what is expected from him each and everyday, the blue haired duck is in need of his services.
"Now then" LeQuack says as he buckles himself in the passenger seat, "I require you to take me to this address immediately" handing Gavin a small sheet of paper with an address on it, which Gavin easily obliges to as he takes out his smartphone to put the address in. As he does however ,LeQuack to his surprise takes notice of what was coming through the rear view mirror of the car ,before snatching up Gavin's phone "no no no, allow me to put it in you drive NOW!"Not wanting to anger his boss ,Gavin does as he is told, sets the car in drive, puts his foot on the accelerator ,and drives under LeQuack's command. As Gavin continues to steer the car under LeQuack's direction, the way the poor man drove, made it look like he was speeding while turning in a straight path, as if he was a rat in a maze to anyone on the streets taking notice. Suddenly Gavin begins to take notice of what appears to be a police car tailing them ,as the sirens from their car wail.
Gavin taking notice of this replies "oh it looks like we have a police officer trailing behind us, I better give him the right of way." LeQuack however ,suddenly stops him before he can reach for the gear shift and say "NO! It is more important to focus on your primary objective: driving me to the destination." Gavin tries to argue, saying "but I can't just ignore the policeman behind us." Only for LeQuack to snap back " You do as I say and lose the officer, before we reach ze destination or I take back this car!" Gavin with no other choice ,gives in and continues to drive with the officer behind him.
After a while ,Gavin eventually loses the police before reaching the destination announcing meekly "alright ,we're here." LeQuack jumping out of the car taking the briefcase with him ,compliments his driver ,saying "good man, you did well for your first job" patting him on the head afterwards. Gavin felt his heart warm up a bit, as he replies "oh I was just doing what you asked me to" in which LeQuack replies "yes, and I shall be expecting the same thing from you again" conveniently taking out a notebook and a pencil, writing something down in it. "And when will that be?" Asks Gavin, in which LeQuack tears up a sheet of paper from the said notebook and says "oh I was thinking dirons-nous tomorrow, afternoon at this address no?" Gavin simply replies without a second thought "well alright then ,I'll see you then" before driving off ,by the time he was gone from LeQuack's sight ,we see a sinister grin arise from the duck.
"Oi we shall my puppet" replies LeQuack as he enters an abandoned apartment building, closing the door behind him as well as closing the blinds. Once he was sure that he was alone ,he proceeds to turn on a shade lamp on a desk where he placed his briefcase onto, then opening it up only to reveal it contained quadrillions of dollars. LeQuack after cackling monologues the following "oh LeQuack, you have truly outdone yourself ,steal a sports car and convince an idiot to be a getaway driver by offering ze car as a reward, oh quel génie. And that fool does not even suspect a thing, as soon as l'idiot outlives his usefulness he takes ze car ,ze blame ,and ze prison while I keep ze earnings!" LeQuack then starts to cackle even more ,much to his delight.
Over the course of three weeks or so ,Gavin was expected to arrive at certain destinations no questions asked whether it was a museum, a jewelry store, a country club, a department store, a shooting range,or a bank Gavin was still expected to arrive for LeQuack. Each time Gavin would pick him up ,he was instructed to drive the duck to a destination, either secluded, unexpected, or both and whenever there's a chance that police chase him, Gavin was ordered to keep driving while LeQuack dealt with them ,sometimes painlessly but most of the time drastically. Gavin sadly would often not pay attention or even question LeQuacks methods, either because he is keeping his focus on the road or his mind was too focused on owning the car not realising the fate LeQuack has in store.
One afternoon in the Bagge's living room, we find Eustace, Muriel, Katy, and Madeline watching television. As soon as the elderly couple eventually fell asleep ,the girls and Courage are greeted to a news report on T.V. What caught them by surprise was the image of the red sports car ,as the reporter announces "Breaking News: The Sports car Bandit strikes again, this time robbing the Nowhere Hardware Store clean. No one knows who he is, but one thing's for sure folks his connection is tied to the sports car thief that stole a fancy red sports car over a month ago. How do I know this you might be wondering? It should be obvious that the bandit is using said sports car as his getaway vehicle!"
At this moment, Gavin walks in completely exhausted from a long day ,as Muriel who had woken up asks "Gavin is that you?" Givin simply replies "yeah mom ,I just got back from bringing my boss home from the hardware store." Muriel grows concerned for her little boy "oh you must be tired ,here I'll go make ya some tea while you sit in my chair." As Gavin does so ,he takes this time to talk to the girls about his exhausting day while they look back at him surprised to hear that their dad had returned from the very place that the news had said got robbed. As soon as Muriel returns with his tea, she comments "oh Gavin you're a hard worker ya are" Gavin taking the cup of tea from the saucer ,says "believe me today was nothing compared to what I'm expected to do tomorrow."
"What about tomorrow dad?" Asks Katy in concern ,Gavin looks back at her to say "I'll be driving Mr. LeQuack to the airport tomorrow, and he expects me there at the crack of dawn, something about wanting to be the first one at the airport I think." After taking another sip of his tea ,Katy with a hint of suspicion asks her father "dad are you serious ,he wants you there that early tomorrow?" Gavin simply replies "yup and he says it will be the last thing I do for him, afterwards he says I can keep the car." This is when the girls slowly realize that the anthropomorphic duck that their dad had made a deal with has turned out to be using their dad as a getaway driver for crimes that he commits. Courage especially, as he worriedly tries to talk Gavin out of his deal ,sadly it doesn't get through Gavin's tired head.
Eustace after being abruptly woken up by Courage's loud begging, then reaches behind the couch and pulls out his mask scaring Courage to a wall shouting "OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!" Then the old farmer starts to laugh at the poor dog glued to the wall in fright "that'll teach ya to wake me up in the middle of a nice dream ,ya stupid dream interrupting dog" says Eustace as he continues to laugh. Muriel then pulls out her rolling pin and slams it upon Eustace's head, making Eustace cry out "OW! What did I do?" Muriel then approaches Courage taking the dog into her arms to comfort, while Katy soon starts to figure out that Courage's constant babblings where warnings for something bad that was gonna happen. More specifically, Courage was trying to warn Gavin that LeQuack was not meant to be trusted to begin with.
That night in the girls bedroom, Courage and Madeline where both sound asleep for a good two or three minutes ,before being awaken by Katy who softly nudges the two.
Katy successfully wakes them up ,before telling the two the situation before them "dad is in serious trouble!" Katy stated in concern ,Madeline still groggy from waking up asks "how is daddy in trouble Katy?" Only for Katy to explain " that duck is definitely using dad to drive him all over town so that he can steal everybody blind!" Madeline would ask "how do you know?" Katy turns to Courage who confirms this, by nodding his head and babbling.
"What can we do Katy? Daddy is supposed to help him out in the morning" asks Madeline. The older sister replies "I actually have a plan ,which is why I had to wake you and Courage up ,here's what we're gonna do" gathering her sister and the pink dog close to her and whispering her plan.
Transitioning to outside the farmhouse we find Gavin dressed up walking to the car, before he proceeds to make his way to town. As he does, Katy along with Madeline and Courage seize this chance to follow him, by getting into Eustace's truck with Katy taking the wheel. "Katy wait, you can't drive yet you're only fifteen" Madeline states in concern, which Katy replies "I'm gonna be sixteen anyway ,besides dad needs help come on!" With that said once everyone was inside the truck, Katy starts it up and they drive after Gavin.
Outside LeQuack's hideout ,we see the sly duck carrying a large amount of suitcases waiting for Gavin to arrive. Suddenly out of nowhere, Gavin arrives as LeQuack places all his stolen goods in the back, saying to Gavin "perfect timing, I hope there was no unexpected circumstances?" Gavin assures him that he arrived without flaw, LeQuack takes his seat at the front of the car beside Gavin. Once both of them were seated, Gavin starts the car for their destination to the airport.
Once the car reaches a red traffic light it stops ,unbeknownst to them that Eustace's truck is behind them in the corner of a street . "Perfect, he's at a red light we can catch him up front and save dad" Katy says from behind the wheel, as she starts the truck, as she does it unfortunately starts to sputter and make noise, luckily Gavin's car did not pick up on it. Katy takes a good look at the auto gauge, it had turned out that the truck was completely out of gas much to her disappointment. Madeline witnessing her dad's car start, getting scared she says to Katy "Katy hurry ,the light turned green!" The elder sister impatiently responds with "it wont start ,the truck's out of gas."
Courage not wanting to lose the stolen car's trail ,quickly hops over to the back of the truck and takes out a gas container, then goes to fill up the truck. Once he was done ,Courage gave the thumbs up for Katy to start it up ,before he went to put the container back in the trunk. However , when he was about to go back to the front, suddenly Katy starts up the truck at high speed ,almost causing Courage to be knocked back into the street. Luckily Courage manages to grab the edge of the trunk ,as Katy drove after her dad.
The girls chase the car all over town all the while Gavin was oblivious to what's behind him as was LeQuack. Katy being a fifteen year old, sadly did not make her an expert driver. When she was attempting to tail the car, she also had the tendency to knock over whatever was on the sidewalk while turning, as well as whatever was on the street, when she's turning as well as accidently bumping into other cars while driving. Katy's reckless driving also manages to get the attention from policemen in their car ,who immediately chase after her as soon as she passes by. Eventually Gavin takes notice of the noise behind him, as well as the truck following him as does LeQuack who attempts to get Gavin's attention back on the road but to no avail ,as Gavin asks why they're being followed by his dad's truck.
Meanwhile Courage who witnesses the police cars behind them, makes an attempt to get back in the front, before being flung off the truck when a police car rammed into it. The pink dog was sent zipping toward the stolen car, crashing through the back window and landing himself right into the front. Gavin in surprise, quickly attempts to set the car in park against LeQuack's wishes, only to end up ramming it into a control tower near the airport, thankfully no one was hurt. Getting out of the car with Courage in his arm, Gavin asks him "how in the world did you even find me here?" The confused father soon got his answer when the truck parked before them, as the girls ran up to him asking if he's ok.
"Girls what's going on?" Gavin asks confused, he suddenly noticing the trunk of the car opened to reveal all of LeQuackes stolen goods from damaged suitcases ,much to his surprise. Then he notices LeQuack regaining consciousness as soon as he exited the damaged car, next the fancy duck then notices Courage being placed down, seizing his chance and strangling him saying "you obnoxious pesky little doggy ,you ruined my escape!" Only then do the police arrive , the misfortunate duck at first glance at the men in blue ,releases Courage from his grasp. Once LeQuack was arrested, the girls where relieved as Gavin to his surprise asks "all that time I was driving around a criminal?"
The head officer arrives before Courage ,giving the thumbs up to the little pink dog commenting "good work dog you done it again" in which Katy would then pick Courage up to say in a confident tone "that's our dog." The head officer then turns to Katy ,extending a hand out asking "alright Speed Racer ,lets see your license and registration" to which Katy responds nonchalantly with "oh I don't have one, I'm only fifteen." Gavin comes to her defense saying" officer I can assure you there is a pretty good explanation for this" which the head officer replies with "then perhaps you and your daughter would like to tell us back at the station" much to not only Gavin and Katy's dismay ,but also Courage and Madeline's as well.
Back at the farmhouse that morning ,we see Gavin ,Katy ,and Madeline on the sofa while being confronted by Gina, as well as the elderly couple with Courage in Muriel's arms where Katy explains "then after the cops brought us to the station ,we told them the same story and the cops just said they would inform you about it, and that dad has trash duty tomorrow." At that point Muriel scolds them stating "well your lucky Courage saved ya when he did, I hope ya both learned something from this?" Katy replies with "yes grandma ,I'll never take the truck on a joyride again" which Gina replies angrily "do you have any idea how worried I was young lady? You and your little sister could have been killed!" then Gavin shamefully replies "well I learned now that all the glitters are not gold ,especially fancy cars."
"Your lucky I decided not to ground you on the spot young lady" Gina scolded at the teenager ,afterwards Eustace steps in to say "but that don't mean I aint gonna punish ya for takin' my truck ,cause startin' tomorrow you two kiddies are spending a whole day with it cleaning it, fixing it, making it look nice, changing its tires, and whatever else I say for the whole week!" The girls groan in disappointment ,as Courage looking back at the girls with sympathy for what awaits them tomorrow, he was also relieved that the girls and Gavin where safe for another day.
At the nowhere police station taking a glance inside the prisoner detention area ,there was a large mess ,the men in charge where knocked unconscious ,and one of the prison cell doors was open. The sound of clanging keys can be heard in a hallway outside the detention area, and who would it be making the noise other then LeQuack leaving the area."Those fools" LeQuack says with a cackle "have not heard the last of LeQuack!" Leaving the area afterwards, as the story ends with a fade to black.
Finally its done another chapter to this story sorry it took so long there was allot on my plate but hopefully you all enjoyed this chapter please review if you do and hopefully I'll be able to do another chapter for this story soon I hope.
