Heads-up: I have not heard Kaorinite's voice in YEARS and barely remember how she acts, as I missed most of that arc. So, if this is OOC, I apologize.
Since the Skinwalker's last attack, the Crystal Palace's defenses had been multiplied, and its magical defenses had been upgraded, powered by a fragment of the original Sailor Senshi's tiara gems! Neo-Sailor Venus, Neo-Sailor Mercury, Neo-Sailor Uranus, and Neo-Sailor Neptune helped with personal interior defense. Chibiusa and Jewel were bummed they could not help, but they are in the most dangerous being the Princesses and, if all else fails, they are allowed to go all-out! As worry and guilt began to take hold of Chibiusa, she began pacing.
"If I just had the right attack..." Chibiusa circled, knowing she needed to kill the Skinwalkers, but what would be the least painful attack?
After about the 25th time, Jewel had to say something!
"Chibiusa, stop! You're making me dizzy and, if that's not distracting enough, you're going to wear a circular-shaped hole into the carpet!" Jewel spoke in a cold and snappy manner she was not known for.
Chibiusa had not known Queen Beryl long, but she knew what her voice sounded like, and, alarmingly, when Jewel got stressed, she said something similar to her evil mother.
"Sorry, but we must save our friends." Chibiusa tried to convey the seriousness of the situation by putting as much urgency in her voice as possible.
"We will, but we need to wait for the chance to free our friend's minds long enough to make the ash-covered bullets." Jewel explained.
"With Emily and Trisha, we stood a chance, but…." Chibiusa's eyes shined with tears.
"We shall function without them," Jewel stated as if this is her final word on the matter.
A high-pitched meow sounded, and the girls turned to see a healthier-looking Elizabeth! Jewel picked up and snuggled her kitten, which calmed the girl enough to return to her kinder personality. Comet, Asteroid, and Diana followed to make sure Elizabeth would get to her owner safely.
"At least Elizabeth is feeling better." Chibiusa smiled softly.
"Yes, I-" Jewel was drowned out by Selina beeping loudly.
"Jewel!" A voice, similar to Queen Beryl but much younger, came from Selina.
"Kaori!" Jewel bounded off the bed and excitedly patched this particular villain through.
Why did Jewel-like that woman so much? What was so exciting? In particular, Chibiusa did not like Kaorinite because she treated Hotaru, and her half-sister is delighted to hear from her? Also, Chibiusa knew she had not seen Jewel at that time because she had been kept deep inside the Tomoe household. Hotaru and Jewel had been kept away from each other as well.
"Finally, about time I got my chance to talk to you. Listen, I don't know how much time I have, so I need you to hear this: I've been informed of the situation by the others, and I know there are four girls in your time, who are the descendants of the four generals. So, these girls are like YOUR team of Sailor Senshi." Kaorinite explained.
"WHAT?!" Chibiusa and Jewel exclaimed.
"Why so surprised? The Princess of the Dark Kingdom should be just as privileged as her mother." Kaorinite's words angered Chibiusa as she knew Jewel did not like people comparing her to her mother in any way, shape, or form, no matter how much Jewel loved her.
"What do these girls look like, and what are their names?" Jewel questioned, seeming unbothered by the former statement.
"Jadite had a daughter with some unknown woman, who abandoned them. He named the baby Star, and she has short, curly blond hair and blue eyes like; her father. Nephrite and Naru's daughter is named Ivy and has brown hair in silly braids and green eyes. Kunzite and Zoisite (I'm going with the 90's dub version, so this will make sense) had twins, but they couldn't be more different: Dawn inherited her mother's blond hair, though it is lighter, almost white and blue eyes. Though I don't know the birth name of their other daughter, she goes by the nickname "Shadow" and has dyed her hair black but retains her green eyes. They are both slightly darker skinned." Kaorinite had to take a breath between every sentence as she was straining her energy.
"You need to rest. But, don't fret, I'll find them." Jewel vowed.
"You better." With the last of her strength, Kaorinite blew the girl a kiss and faded.
"Jewel...how are you going to find them if we can't leave the palace?" Chibiusa asked, praying her sister had a plan.
"I'm brainstorming ideas now." Jewel started drawing a diagram of the Crystal Palace's defenses, both personal and magical, seeing if there was any point they could slip out at.
After the Princesses decided they would have to sneak out at dusk, when shifts were being changed, the only obstacle left would be the Neo-Sailor Senshi, who acted as guards to them.
"Why were you so excited about talking to Kaorinite? You know how she treated Hotaru." Chibiusa tried to word this as delicately as possible; she knew Jewel often had good reason to talk to a particular villain.
Jewel rubbed Selina's spherical body as she reminisced, "When mom…" died," all I had left was Elizabeth and Selina. Neither could talk yet. I spent most of my time running away from others. That's when I started meeting you. Emerald did not care for me one bit further than to see that I had plenty to eat and was clean looking, spoke eloquently, and was well-dressed. When she died, I was sent to Professor Tomoe, who charged Kaori with me. At the time, I was an emotional wreck as I'd lost two families and wanted nothing more than my mom and dad. I suspect taking care of me made Kaori feel closer to Professor Tomoe, and she favored me over Hotaru. She did everything Emerald did, but she also played with me, taught me, and sang me to sleep. She reminded me of my mother..."
Chibiusa recalled Kaorinite's red hair and how her eyes glowed red when she used her powers, remarkably similar to Queen Beryl. In the same way, Chibiusa made connections between Serena and Neo-Queen Serenity. Even though they are the same person, the experiences they faced changed them. Even if Chibiusa disagreed with Jewel, she could not deny the villains raised Jewel well, despite how evil they acted. However, this brought a new thought to Chibiusa: If the villain's Sailor Moon faced had enough heart to care for Jewel, do the Skinwalkers have hearts too? When it comes right down to it, they still have thoughts and feelings of their own.
Chibiusa and Jewel used a combination of Pink Sugar Heartache, a heart/energy-based attack, which took out multiple guards in one hit, and Jewel used her magic to copy the attack. Still, the hearts she sent out are purple instead of pink. However, the battle was too evenly matched when the Princesses ran into the other Neo-Sailor Senshi until…
"Supernova!" A catastrophic blast hit the Neo-Sailor Senshi, knocking them out and tearing apart the entire courtyard!
Luckily, Chibiusa and Jewel found themselves safely in the arms of a brunette in a green and brown sailor outfit and a raven-haired girl in a black and crimson sailor uniform!
"Who are you?!" Chibiusa asked the brunette loudly, who held her bridal style.
Chibiusa had yelled at her out of concern for her friends.
"My name is Ivy Osaka, but, in this form, I'm called Sailor Earth. That's "Shadow." Ivy, a.k.a Sailor Earth, replied, inclining her head to the darker-colored soldier holding Jewel, bridal-style too.
"It's Sailor Eclipse! But, of course, you shouldn't give them your real name, especially your last one!" "Shadow," a.k.a Sailor Eclipse shouted.
"Shadow's not even your real name, sis." Then, as they landed safely from the blast radius, a tow-headed girl in a gold and orange sailor motif walked up to them.
"Princesses, are you OK?" A 4th girl with silver hair and ice-blue eyes, matching her silver and ice blue sailor suit, came rushing away from where the blast went off.
"Yes. Who are all of you?" Jewel questioned.
"My name is Dawn, a.k.a Sailor Sun. I'm Shadow's twin sister. We both have white-ish hair, but Shadow dyed her's." The tow-headed girl smiled sadly.
"I'm Star, a.k.a Sailor Nova." The silver-haired girl giggled.
"Supernova...Was that an attack of yours?!" Chibiusa cried in anger.
"Yes…?" Sailor Nova replied, a little confused why she was being shouted at.
"Why did you knock out my friends and destroy my family's courtyard?!" Chibiusa screamed.
"Oh, I'm sorry; I thought those girls might be impostors because they attacked you. But, unfortunately, Supernova is a catastrophic attack I have yet to control..." Sailor Nova admitted, ashamed.
"You're MY Neo-Sailor Senshi team!" Though she tried not to be too happy, Jewel exclaimed as she was concerned for the Neo-Sailor Senshi.
"Well, we call ourselves the Dark Kingdom Sailor Senshi so that we don't get confused with the Moon Princess's (Chibusa's) team." Sailor Sun tried to keep things between them light-hearted.
"Don't worry about your loser friends. They'll recover." Sailor Eclipse snapped.
Chibiusa and Jewel suspected these girls resembled one of Chibiusa's Neo-Sailor Sesni, and Sailor Eclipse acted a lot like Christen. Suddenly, the girls heard alarms go off around the Crystal Palace and looked back. Explosions are going off everywhere!
"Let us show you the moves we know." Sailor Sun grinned mischievously with the other girls.
Chibiusa and Jewel looked worried as the Dark Kingdom Sailor Senshi raced back toward the palace!
