Summer

Summer comes with the scent of the salt of the sea lingering on the air and the scorching sunrays ready to tan their bodies as they venture into the beach to play.

Behind them, almost forgotten, are left extenuating days in the student council which were full of paperwork and the fight to keep the school open. Now all they look forward to are well deserved days to rest and have fun with the rest of the girls.

Or that's what they'd rather want as they go to one of Maki's mansions at the beach to keep practicing their dancing and singing to prepare for Love Live and not to be uniquely playing and swimming in the water or tanning in the beach.

- Come on Elichi, I bet you can convince Umi-chan to let us rest and have fun for today – Nozomi tells her girlfriend, giving her puppy eyes, to which Rin, Honoka and even Nico soon join, making them really hard to resist.

Eli sighs heavily and pinches the bridge of her nose to then take a deep breath, already succumbing to their puppy eyes and charms, especially to Nozomi's ones.

- Urgh, fine, I'll try to convince her but remember we also have to-

She doesn't even end talking when she's engulfed in a tight hug by three excited girls, happy squeals deafening her hearing for a brief moment.

- You're the best Eli-chan! – Honoka, Rin and Nico say in unison before they run away towards the water, already showing off their bikinis.

Nozomi giggles, watching them with a soft smile on her face. Then, she turns around to look at the tired and almost grumpy blonde beside her.

- I leave it to you, Elichi – she says playfully, winking at her before she waves off at her and follow the trail of steps on the sand that the girls left behind, running to the water.

- Traitor – Eli breathes out, slightly grunting yet with a soft smile playing on her lips as she sees the girls having fun when Nozomi soon joins them in their water splashing, before she turns around ready to confront Umi and to try convince her to let them have a very needed day of fun and relax.

At the end, it turns out she doesn't need to convince her blue haired friend as she witnesses first-hand how Kotori is pouting and giving puppy eyes to a very flustered and stern Umi until she gives up and agrees to let the girls have fun, at least just for the present day.

Eli giggles quietly and, unnoticed, she lets the two birds alone, going back to the rest of the girls, observing them from afar splashing water one another as she also ventures in the beach.

With that little sweet triumph, the rest of the day passes between laughs and games until the night falls and they ignite a small bonfire together, lighting fireworks and eating the little feast they have in front.

Nozomi smiles at this, feeling content to be able to spend this wonderful time with the girls, having so much fun altogether, yet, she choose to go on her own to enjoy a little peaceful walk along the beach shore, enjoying the moon illuminating magically everything under its rays as the laughing of the group of girls she left behind puts the perfect melody to such beautiful night.

A gentle smile appears on her face as she lets the soft marine breeze stroke her skin with delicacy.

She stops to let her gaze get lost in the sea waves when suddenly, she feels a pair of strong arms surrounding her waist, making her smile widen while she closes her eyes and leans back against the slender body behind her.

- It's beautiful, isn't it Elichi?

Nozomi says, feeling Eli holding her tighter and come to rest her chin on her shoulder, humming.

- Not as much as you are – Eli whispers softly, making her blush at the compliment.

- My, my, Elichi, how romantic – Nozomi teases her, trying to cover her embarrassment as well as the way her heart races against her ribcage.

She feels Eli laughing quietly against her before leaving a little kiss on her neck.

As she slowly turns around in Eli's arms, she sees the moonlight illuminating Eli's pale skin, contrasting with the blush adorning her cheeks so cutely. She smiles, placing her hands just above Eli's chest and brushes their lips briefly before melting in a sweet kiss.

Eli tastes like watermelon while Nozomi tastes like melon, both tastes complementing one another perfectly, just like they do.

They share one last and sweet intimate kiss before going back with the group, hands intertwining and a fond smile adorning their faces.
