Attack against Toga
At the Seireitei's western gate leading to the Western Rukongai, a group of Shinigami assembled and was prepared. One Shinigami stepped forward and stopped and turned around to face the others. The Shinigami was man with slick back black hair with a mustache and goatee.
"The time has come," The Shinigami said, "it's time we make our way to our destination so we must erase all fears and prepare against those who threaten the Seireitei. Don't worry, there are nothing more than a bunch rabble with delusions of grandeur, however the one leading the rabble is a former noble plotting revenge for his family's fall of grace and with the intention of not only seeking revenge but also plans to take over the Seireitei. We of the Gotei 13 will not allow that to happen. It is our duty to protect the Seireitei from threats. No matter what or who the threat is."
"Right!" The other Shinigami said in unison.
The slick back haired Shinigami nodded and turned around.
"Then let's go," The leading Shinigami said, "It's time to head for Takame and put an end the threat perpetrated by Toga."
The gate opened and the group of Shinigami went on their way. As the group of Shinigami was leaving, Aizen and Tosen watched them leave. On the other side, the ninja that attacked Ramza watched as the Shinigami went through the western gate.
District 40 of West Rukongai, Takame
In the base, members of the Toga Clan were meeting and Reddo looked around.
"All right," Reddo said, "the time has come. We're going enter the Seireitei and serve up justice against them and force them to answer their crimes," Reddo saw that both Yashiro and Kosei were present, "I'm glad both of you are here," Reddo looked around again and was annoyed, "however it seems a certain someone is not here again," Reddo looked at Yashiro, "Yashiro, I'm holding you responsible for this."
"I'm sorry Leader," Yashiro said.
"It doesn't matter anymore," Reddo said, "we must move on and he will not benefit in the spoils. Anyway, we have the means to be able to defeat the Shinigami and end the noble rule in the Seireitei. They won't see it coming. They don't see us as the people who can take them down. Let us make them regret in underestimating us."
The other members cheered in response.
"Now then, let us go make our way to the Seireitei," Reddo said.
"Yeah!" The members said in unison.
Yashiro grinned as he was excited while Kosei pushed his glasses with a smile.
"Hey, are you guys still here?" Takeshi's voice called out.
"Huh, is that Takeshi?" Yashiro asked surprised.
The others were surprised hearing Takeshi's voice.
"Huh, what the hell does that brat want?" Reddo asked.
The door suddenly opened and Takeshi entered and panted.
"Takeshi, why are you here?" Yashiro asked.
"What the hell are you doing here kid?" Reddo asked annoyed, "If you here to join us, I told you that you are not fit."
"That's not it!" Takeshi responded as he was panicking, "There's trouble."
"Huh, what kind of trouble?" Reddo asked.
"A group of Shinigami are coming and they are on their way here," Takeshi informed.
"What?!" Reddo responded shocked.
The other members were shocked as well and wondered what was going.
"Takeshi, are you sure about this?" Yashiro asked.
"I'm sure," Takeshi replied, "In fact, it won't be long before they get here."
"What the hell?" Reddo asked wide eyed.
"Reddo Toga, get out here!" A booming male voice demanded.
Reddo, his followers, and Takeshi looked outside and saw the group of Shinigami led by the slick haired male Shinigami who drew his sword and pointed at the people who were looking from the inside of the base.
"Reddo Toga and the Toga Clan," The lead Shinigami said, "we know that you are plotting against the Seireitei and plan to take over and we know that today is the day you planned to invade the Seireitei with the intention to carry out your schemes and eliminating the nobles and us Shinigami. We're here to stop your scheme! Give up and you might have mercy given to you."
The Toga Clan members were shocked.
"I don't believe this," One of the members said.
"How?" Reddo asked.
"Sir?" Yashiro asked looking at the leader.
"How the hell did they found out?" Reddo asked, "No one in the Seireitei was supposed to know."
Outside, the leading Shinigami glared at the Toga Clan who was still in their base.
"Everyone, draw your swords," The leading Shinigami said.
The other Shinigami complied and they drew their swords. In the base, Reddo clenched his teeth in anger and drew his long sword from his back. Meanwhile Ramza was sitting in his small home and was thinking about what had happened yesterday.
"I still wonder who that person was," Ramza said, "He was targeting me specifically."
Flashback
Ramza placed the blade of his sword at the ninja's neck which shocked the ninja and Ramza looked at his would be assailant with a cold stare.
"Who the hell are you?" Ramza asked, "What is the meaning of this? Why have you come to attack me?"
"Damn, I was sure you would be easy to kill," The ninja said, "But it seems that you're actually hard to kill even with where you are. Maybe it would have been easier if you didn't have a sword."
"Answer my question," Ramza demanded, "Who the hell are you and why did you attack me?"
"You are part of the Toga Clan," The ninja said.
"And if I am?" Ramza responded.
"Stop if you value your life," The ninja said, "you would do well in not getting involved with that group. Otherwise, you will fall like the rest of them."
"You know something, don't you?" Ramza replied.
"You have been warned," The ninja said.
The ninja dropped something on the ground and it was a smoke screen bomb and it caught Ramza off by surprise as he was forced to cover his eyes. The smoke cleared and Ramza looked and saw the ninja was gone. Ramza looked around and wondered about that ninja.
Flashback End
Ramza sighed and shook his head.
"I have no clue of what is going on," Ramza said, "but I am concerned about the directions of the Toga Clan," Ramza stood up, "I'll go see Yuji and then I'll stop at the base. I have to talk Reddo."
In Yuji's home, Yuji himself was sitting and folding his arms. There was a knock on a door and Yuji stood up and went and opened the door and it was Ramza.
"Oh Ramza," Yuji said.
"Hello Yuji," Ramza greeted.
"Did you need something?" Yuji asked.
"Yes I wanted to ask you something," Ramza said.
"Okay, what is it?" Yuji replied.
"Ramza! Yuji!" Satsuki called.
Yuji and Ramza were surprised and they looked and saw Satsuki who looked panicked as she was running to them. Satsuki stopped near the two men and panted as she was catching her breath.
"Satsuki?" Ramza asked.
"Satsuki, what is it?" Yuji asked, "You seem upset."
"There's fighting going on," Satsuki informed.
"Fighting?" Ramza asked surprised.
"A group of Shinigami are here and they're fighting the Toga Clan," Satsuki informed.
"What?" Ramza and Yuji responded shocked.
"And Takeshi," Satsuki said, "I think he's there with them."
"Takeshi is…" Yuji spoke.
"This is not good," Ramza said worried, "Not good at all."
Ramza and Yuji looked at each other and nodded.
"I'll go," Ramza said.
"Ramza," Satsuki said concern.
"If nothing else, I'll help Takeshi get out of there," Ramza said.
"Ramza, thank you," Satsuki said.
Ramza rushed and to go where he needed to go. Back at the area around the base of the Toga Clan, there was a fight between members of the Toga Clan and a group of Shinigami. They was sword clashing between opposing members, and some of the Toga Clan members tried to use their spirit energies to fight against the Shinigami but the Shinigami were able to counter and take them down. One of the Shinigami used Kido and struck three Toga Clan members as they screamed in pain. Takeshi was knocked on the ground and looked on terrified as a bald headed male Shinigami was moving towards him with the intent to cut him down.
"Wait, stop," Takeshi pleaded, "I'm not part of this."
"Yeah nice try," The bald Shinigami said, "you were there in the base so you are one of them. We won't let trash like you attack the Seireitei. Now die!"
The Shinigami swung his sword down to cut Takeshi but it was suddenly stopped with a clash. Takeshi had his eyes closed expected to be cut down but was surprised when he heard the noise. He looked and was surprised to see Ramza who had blocked the Shinigami's sword attack with his own sword.
"Ramza, it's you," Takeshi said.
"Takeshi, can you move?" Ramza asked.
"Uh y-yeah, I can," Takeshi answered.
"Good, then get up and get out of here," Ramza said, "and don't look back. Just get to safety."
"O-Okay," Takeshi said with nod.
Takeshi got up and ran away. The Shinigami was annoyed seeing Takeshi run away.
"Hey, get back here!" The bald Shinigami demanded.
The bald Shinigami moved and tried to go after Takeshi but Ramza quickly moved and got in front of the Shinigami.
"You don't need to go after him," Ramza said, "He's not part of this."
"You damn Rukongai trash are all the same," The bald headed Shinigami said annoyed, "You think I don't see with my damn eyes."
"He was just at the wrong place, at the wrong time," Ramza said.
"And what about you?" The Shinigami asked as he pointed his blade at Ramza, "Are you part of the Toga Clan?"
"I am," Ramza answered.
"…Okay then, then I'll take you down," The bald Shinigami said, "you Toga fools really thought we weren't aware of what you were doing."
"Are you saying you know of the plan?" Ramza asked, "Is that why you're here?"
"No more talking," The bald Shinigami said with a glare, "I will not allow you get the chance to even get to the Seireitei!"
The bald Shinigami swung his sword and Ramza blocked the sword with his own sword. Meanwhile Yashiro was fighting off two Shinigami. Yashiro was dodging most of their attacks but was he was gradually getting slower and he got hit from behind and fell on the ground. One of the two Shinigami was about to strike Yashiro down but was cut down from behind. The other Shinigami was shocked but before the other Shinigami could do something about it, he was cut down as well. The one who did the deed was Kosei and he walked over to Yashiro and helped him up.
"Kosei," Yashiro said, "thanks."
"Sure, no problem," Kosei said.
Kosei looked at the side and rushed over to where he was looking and Yashiro looked and saw that Kosei was going to three Shinigami. Meanwhile Ramza got the upper hand against the bald Shinigami. The bald man was angry that he was not able to beat the blonde haired Rukongai resident and rushed towards him. The bald man swung his sword horizontally towards Ramza aiming for his neck but Ramza was able to quickly dodge by crouching down and quickly followed up with a punch to the stomach that knocked the wind out of the Shinigami. The Shinigami fell on the ground as he was knocked out. Ramza stood up and rushed over when he saw Yashiro.
"Yashiro," Ramza called.
Yashiro turned and saw Ramza.
"Oh it's you," Yashiro said and then he frowned, "You have some nerve show up now."
"You can air out your grievances to me later," Ramza responded, "right now we should just concentrate on this."
Yashiro frowned at Ramza, "That's true, let's take care of this first and then I'll have words for you."
There was a crash from inside the large building. Ramza and Yashiro went to check it out as they went inside. When they got inside, they notice the place was wrecked and they looked around and saw that Reddo and the slick back haired mustache and goatee Shinigami were sword fighting. They pushed each other back and glared at each other.
"Tomita, you bastard," Reddo cursed.
"You have no right to complain," The slick back haired Shinigami named Tomita replied, "you brought this on yourself. It's your own damn fault."
"Don't give that nonsense," Reddo said angrily, "now answer my damn question. How did you know what we were up to?"
"You would like to know," Tomita commented, "well that's the thing. We see through you rabble filth. You actually thought you would get one over us? Foolishness!"
Reddo clenched his teeth and then he glanced and was surprised to see Ramza.
"Ramza, so you decided to show up," Reddo said, "Tch, well aren't you shameless."
"Leader, we'll back you up," Yashiro said.
"Good Yashiro," Reddo said with a grin, "I appreciate it."
Tomita charged and swung his sword but his sword swing was stopped by the sword held by Ramza.
"What the hell?" Tomita spoke surprised.
Yashiro and Reddo were surprised as well.
"I didn't even see him," Tomita said in his head.
Ramza pushed the Shinigami back. Tomita looked on and clenched his teeth as he pointed his sword at Ramza.
"You, who the hell are you?" Tomita asked.
"What?" Ramza asked confused.
"You heard me," Tomita said getting angry, "I demand that you tell me your name!"
"It's Ramza," Ramza said, "I'm Ramza Beoulve."
Tomita was shocked looking at Ramza, "So you're the one, the one that he mentioned."
"Huh, what are you talking about?" Ramza asked, "Who's he? Who are you referring to?"
"Hey, what are you going on about?" Reddo asked.
"Are you interested in one of our members?" Yashiro asked.
"Was this set up by design?" Tomita asked.
"Hey Tomita!" Reddo spoke loudly, "We're talking to you!"
"The hell with this," Tomita said.
Tomita suddenly rushed the three men and was pushed back by Ramza again with the combination of his swordplay and spirit energy.
"You think you can stop me?" Tomita asked, "This is why you people are such fools!" Tomita held out his left hand, "Hado#31: Shakkaho!"
Tomita shot the flame-like Kido spell towards the three men much to their shock. The next thing that happened was there was an explosion and a part of the large building was destroyed and smoke was emanating. Three people were on the ground outside and it was Ramza, Yashiro, and Reddo. Tomita landed on his feet and glared at the three men.
"Tomita, you bastard," Reddo said angrily.
"This is the end for you," Tomita said.
Other Shinigami started to come and surrounded the three men and Ramza looked around and Reddo looked at the ground and clenched his teeth with anger.
"The Toga family have always been a family of fools," Tomita commented, "and your own foolishness is why you yourself fell in disgrace in the first place," Tomita smiled, "it's funny if you really think about it."
"And you Tomitas are vultures that were always looking to capitalize on any situations to elevate your status," Reddo said, "you only acted on it since it would be good for your family."
"You talk as though it is a bad thing," Tomita said with a grin, "but right now, the important thing is beating you."
There were sudden screams that was going on. This surprised the others and they looked around. Someone was suddenly tossed in the air and crashed in the ground. They saw and were shocked to see that it was a Shinigami that was dead.
"What happened?" One of the female Shinigami asked horrified.
"Did one of the Toga thugs get the drop on him?" A male Shinigami asked.
The answer was given as there was something that suddenly appeared and it was a large Hollow that had a ram shaped mask and had blood dripping from the mouth.
"It's a Hollow!" Another female Shinigami said.
"A Hollow," Tomita said shocked, "But why? Why the hell didn't we sense it?"
The Hollow roared causing a shockwave in its surroundings. The Hollow then charged towards the people and it was able to strike most of the Shinigami there. Tomita was one of the few Shinigami was able to avoid the charging attack. Tomita looked and saw that some the Shinigami that got hit were on the ground and not moving. Tomita was shocked and clenched his teeth and directed his anger at the Hollow. Ramza, Yashiro, and Reddo were able move out of the way as well and they were shocked to see the Hollow.
"That creature that Tomita mentioned," Ramza said, "Is that really a Hollow?"
"Yes it's a Hollow," Yashiro said, "and it's a big one."
"How pathetic," Reddo commented.
"What?" Ramza replied looking at Reddo.
"Shinigami are supposed to be able to sense incoming Hollows," Reddo said, "and yet they let that one sneak up on them."
There was a sudden rumble behind them and they were shocked. They turned around and were shocked to see another Hollow that had a six horned mask and stood on six legs. The six legged Hollow swung one of its leg at the three men and caused the three to fall and fell on the ground again. Yashiro and Reddo got hit while Ramza only suffered a graze on his left arm. Ramza clenched his teeth and he looked seeing Reddo and Yashiro and looked at the Hollow that struck them. There were more screams followed up with horrifying roars. Ramza looked on and was shocked to see more bodies falling and crashing to the ground. Ramza got up and looked and was shocked that were bodies of Shinigami and other members of the Toga Clan were spread out on the ground dead. Yashiro and Reddo were shocked to see that other members of the Toga Clan were among the dead. Reddo was livid to see his followers dead and got up and gripped the hilt of his nodachi. Tomita was looking around as more Hollows were showing up and they all growled.
"Damn Hollows," Tomita said angrily and swung his sword, "you damn creatures will regrets this!"
Tomita charged and struck one of the Hollows and followed up with a horizontal slash on the Hollow mask which cause blood sprayed and the Hollow disintegrating as it was falling. The other remaining Shinigami followed suit by launching counterattacks against the Hollows. Reddo and Yashiro stood up and looked around. The ram masked Hollow charged towards three Shinigami and the three in question were slow to react but the charging Hollow was suddenly stopped. The three Shinigami were surprised what they saw and it was Ramza who was stopped the charging Hollow by stabbing the Hollow's forehead which was able to stab through the mask. Ramza did an upward slash and was to eliminate the ram masked Hollow much to the surprise to the Shinigami. Another Hollow went on the attack and Ramza responded running and picked up one of the sword of one of the dead Shinigami and threw it and struck the Hollow in its shoulder and Ramza followed up by slashing the Hollow vertically which ended that Hollow as well. The Shinigami were in awe seeing a Rukongai resident taking on Hollows while Tomita looked on and narrowed his eyes at Ramza.
"It's just as I was told," Tomita said in his head, "this man—"
Tomita was cut off in his thoughts when he felt two Hollows that went to ambush him. Tomita was able to counter when he used Shunpo and reappeared and struck both Hollows down and eliminated them. Tomita clenched his teeth looking at the disintegrating Hollow that tried to ambush him. Meanwhile Yashiro blocked a claw attack by a Hollow and pushed it back. Yashiro stepped back and clenched his teeth as the attacking Hollow that was slowly approaching Yashiro.
"What the hell is going on?" Yashiro asked, "Why are Hollows here? Why is this happening now? And what about the Shinigami here knowing our plans and where the hell is Kosei?"
The Hollow sped up and was able to strike the sword out of Yashiro's hand and it flew and fell on the ground. Yashiro was shocked and looked at the Hollow horrified.
"Yashiro!" Ramza called out.
Ramza rushed and was able to cut off one of the arms of the Hollow. Ramza then jumped in the air and slashed the Hollow's mask and was able to take the Hollow down. Yashiro was in awe in what Ramza had just done. Yashiro shook his head and had a scowl and went to Ramza.
"Hey I had it handled Ramza," Yashiro complained.
Ramza just stared at Yashiro in response.
"Oh yes, I'm sure you did," Ramza replied sarcastically.
"I don't need your sarcasm," Yashiro said, "and another thing, why are you helping the Shinigami? They're our enemies."
"This isn't the time for that," Ramza pointed out, "did you forget that these Hollows killed the others as well and are set to kill the three of us as well?"
"Even so what you're doing is disgraceful," Reddo said as he approached Ramza and Yashiro, "it's bad enough that you have not done your part for the group, you're goofing off on your own, ignoring me in the process, doing things on your own and now you show up late when the time comes implement our plans, you shamelessly show up and now you're aiding our enemies. Do you not have any pride? Do you even have any honor?"
"Do you actually think it's honorable to just sit back and do nothing while people are being attack right in front of you?" Ramza responded.
"They're Shinigami, they are better off being extinct!" Reddo replied furiously.
"Well I don't share in your belief," Ramza said, "I don't align with the things you advocate for and I know if the Hollows are left unchecked, they will attack people next and then what?" Ramza shook his head and looked at Reddo with determination, "I won't allow it."
Reddo snapped and punched Ramza in the face. Yashiro was surprised and Ramza was shocked as well but collected himself and looked at Reddo with a glare in which Reddo did not like.
"D-Don't talk like you understand anything," Reddo said pointing at Ramza, "I'm in charge and you're supposed to just do what I say! I will not continue to hear the babblings of a naïve fool. I've tolerated your insubordination long enough. You will know your place Beoulve!"
"Pathetic," Ramza commented with scorn.
"W-What did you say?" Reddo replied back as he and Yashiro were shocked.
"The way you acted reminds me of people I had to deal with in the past and they were not pleasant," Ramza said glaring at Reddo, "they were scum using their positions for their selfish gains and I refuse to go along with it."
"Ramza, what the hell?" Yashiro replied shocked.
Three Hollows roared as one was flying in the air and two Hollows on four legs. Ramza rushed over to take on the three Hollows.
"Hollows," Ramza said.
Flashback: A Week Ago
"Yes, it is also one of the duties we Shinigami perform," Yosuke said, "Hollow are basically human souls who are for various reasons don't cross over to the Soul Society after they die. They are corrupted souls that devour souls of deceased and living Humans. They all settle in the realm called Hueco Mundo."
"Hueco Mundo," Ramza said, "so it's another realm."
"Exactly," Yosuke said.
"We use our swords, our Zanpakutos, to basically cleanse the souls that have become Hollows," Yosuke said and then looked at the sheathed sword that Ramza was holding, "in fact, I would say that what you are carrying a Asauchi. They are actually nameless Zanpakutos."
"Nameless Zanpakuto?" Ramza asked looking confused.
"A Zanpakuto actually has a unique name and the wielder learns the name through communication and training," Yosuke explained, "What you have no different. You and the others in the Toga Clan actually carry Asauchis."
"Really?" Ramza replied and looked at the sheath weapon he had on his hip, "This?"
"Yes, I don't how much you know about Reddo Toga but he came from a noble family and for generations, they have served as Shinigami for the Soul Society," Yosuke explained.
"I see," Ramza said.
"I'm not sure how he acquired the Asauchis that he has and supplies for the group," Yosuke said, "I suspect that he was able to pull some strings before his family fell in disgrace and after fallen in disgrace, he was able to find a way to take them with him. He must have taken a lot."
"I see," Ramza said, "in that case Yosuke, does your Zanpakuto have a name?"
"It does," Yosuke said, "it's…"
Flashback End
Ramza charged and slashed one of the four legged Hollows and brought them down. Ramza then avoid a swooping attack by the flying Hollow and looked on as the flying Hollow stared at Ramza while the one in question stared back and readied himself holding the hilt of his sword tight.
