Archaeodaemons

In the twentieth district of the North Rukongai, there was a young woman that was walking through the forest carry two baskets, one she carried on her left hand and the other one on her back. The young woman had long brown hair and she wore a dark purple robe with a black sash and it was Tietra Heiral. Tietra had been living on her own ever since she arrived in the Rukongai and she had no one to depend on. She wondered how things were going back in Ivalice and she was worried for her brother Delita and wondered if he was okay and had hoped that he did not die as well. Tietra had a lot on her mind but for now she was doing what she could do in the place she was currently residing. She began to collect plant leaves and put them in the basket that she had on her back. She was also collecting various fruits, including dried persimmons. Tietra looked at a persimmon and took a bite and she liked the taste.

"Oh it's so wonderful," Tietra said happily.

Tietra continued to collect food and then she collected wood for the fire. As she continued to do these things, she was hearing people talking. She looked over and saw three kids, one small boy and two boys that were bigger than him.

"What's going on?" Tietra asked in a quiet tone.

"Please, give me back my candy," The small boy pleaded.

The two big boys were keeping a small pouch away from him and acting in glee.

"Please, I beg you, gimme back my candy," The small boy pleaded again.

"Forget it," One of the big boys said, "besides you don't really need it any way."

"Yeah, why don't you just give up and just go, you little snot," The other big boy said as he pushed the small boy to the ground.

Tietra was shocked in what she was seeing and she didn't like what was occurring. It reminded her at the time when she was attending the academy within Eagrose and how she was bullied because of her status. It was a bitter reminder to her and then she remembered when Alma stepped in and defended her. With the memories of what happened to her in the past, she decided to stop the bullying.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?" Tietra said as she ran to the scene.

The three kids saw Tietra rushing towards them and the two boys didn't like it that someone was sticking their nose into their business.

"Hey stay out of this," One of the big boys said, "this has nothing to do with you."

"Why are you bullying that kid and taking something that obviously doesn't belong to you?" Tietra countered.

"Butt out lady," The other big kid said harshly, "This is none of your business."

"I can't do that," Tietra replied, "I'm not going to stand by and just let it continue."

Tietra decided to put down the baskets that she was holding and went and knocked one of the big kids down and it was the one who had the small pouch in his hand and Tietra picked up the pouch. The second big kid got mad at what the long brown haired woman did and charged towards her, only to have Tietra dodge and trip the second big kid, causing the kid to fall down.

"Why you…" One of the big kids muttered.

"Just stop this right now, you shouldn't take something that doesn't belong to you," Tietra said.

"Shut up," One of the big kids said as he and other big kid got up, "we just wanted some candy and it would be wasted to let someone who doesn't have any spirit energy to have any."

Tietra got upset and did something that surprised the three boys and she slapped the one that had just spoke out to her. The boys were shocked and Tietra was livid as she was reminded of the attitudes of the nobles that would treat commoners like animals. Tietra calmed herself and just looked at the two bullying boys.

"That shouldn't matter!" Tietra countered.

"What?" One of the big kids spoke.

Even the little kid was shocked in what he saw although he was appreciative that someone standing up for him.

Tietra continued, "It doesn't matter if whether or not someone has spirit energy, it's not right to take something that isn't yours and even if this kid doesn't have any spirit energy and can't get hungry or whatever it may be, I'm sure he can still enjoy the taste. Now, you two have a choice, you can leave right now or you can continue and I will keep knocking you both down."

The two big boys looked at each other and looked at Tietra who had a serious expression and both of them came up with the same conclusion.

"Let's go, this is not worth it," One of the big boys said.

"Yeah, let's get out of here," The other big boy agreed.

The two bullying boys left and Tietra sighed of relief.

"Are you okay?" Tietra asked the small boy.

The small boy nodded and Tietra gave him back the pouch that was full of candy.

"Thank you Miss," The small boy said happily.

"You're welcome," Tietra said warmly.

The small boy was happy and ran off with his pouch and Tietra waved to him. As soon the boy left, Tietra sighed again and left as well to the opposite direction.

District 40 of West Rukongai, Takame

Reddo Toga was a proud man. He always set his mind to whatever he had desired. He had everything planned out. He was born from a lower noble family in the Soul Society and he could say in confidence that his family was well respected and for generations, the Toga family joined and served as Shinigami of the Gotei 13 but it all crashed down years ago when his family fell in disgrace and lost their noble status and it led him leaving the Seireitei and move to the Rukongai. Reddo had people in his mind and the people he had in mind were the ones who caused his family's collapse. He could see the grins and smug looks on the faces of the people who he deemed as the ones who conspired with each other to take down the Toga family. One of the faces was Tamayo Akechi who smiled sinisterly and giving a condescending expression. Another face was Tomita with his smug look as he was looking down on Reddo. He looked at another noble and this one was a muscular man who had long black hair and a beard and the other was a slender man who had medium-length hair and sported a sadistic grin. Reddo sought revenge ever since then and made the decision to take over the Seireitei for himself to rule over. Reddo felt he currently had the means to fulfil his goals and was ready to follow through as he had a group of followers and he had weapons to use to be able to take on and defeat the Shinigami and dominate against the nobles but now it was all falling apart for him. A number of his followers had fallen as a group of Shinigami led by one of his hated enemies, Tomita had showed up and hearing that they were aware of his plans and now Hollows have made their appearances and were attacking. Reddo couldn't believe what was happening. Reddo clenched his teeth and rushed over to his base to get what he needed. In the base, he was rushing to get to his room.

"That bastard," Reddo cursed angrily, "I should have known that there was a possibility that this would happen even when he assured me that no one was ever going to find out," Reddo clenched his teeth, "there are only three possibilities of how this happened. One is that he was completely off the mark and was just excruciating wrong on it or… he knew exactly that this would happen and he intentionally set me up for failure and third is the possibly that he gave the information to the enemies," Reddo picked up a small box and opened it, "I wanted to use it at the gates of the Seireitei but now they ruined it. He better not have lied to me be about this as well…"

Meanwhile Ramza had just defeated a Hollow and he looked around as he was panting.

"It's just like fighting monsters back in Ivalice," Ramza said to himself, "we have to end this and then…"

A Hollow was charging towards Ramza and Ramza was ready to counter but a sword struck the Hollow stopping it in its tracks. The Hollow fell down on the ground and it was a nodachi that struck the Hollow. Ramza was surprised and he turned and saw Reddo walking with a purpose.

"Reddo," Ramza said.

Reddo walked past Ramza and pulled his nodachi out of the Hollow and caused the Hollow disintegrate.

"It was all planned out," Reddo said, "I would finally have my revenge and avenge my family. I am not going to let anything or anyone get in the way of it. Hollows and Shinigami are my enemies," Reddo turned and pointed his blade at Ramza, "Anyone who defies me and questions me is my enemy as well. Ramza, that includes you."

Ramza glared at Reddo in response.

"Are you really doing this right now?" Ramza asked.

"Shut your mouth," Reddo replied, "I've had enough of your insubordination and now you have committed the sin of helping and fighting along the Shinigami. You are a traitor."

Ramza clenched his teeth in anger.

"In the end, you're the same," Ramza commented.

"Oh?" Reddo responded glaring back at Ramza.

Tomita and several Shinigami showed up and Yashiro and a few Toga members came by as well and Reddo looked around.

"So Toga, what are you planning to do now?" Tomita asked.

"Leader," Yashiro said with concern.

Reddo took held something out and it was a talisman.

"If only you weren't so incompetent Yashiro," Reddo said making Yashiro and the other taken aback in what he just said, "I can't count on any of you. I have to do it myself."

"That talisman," Yashiro said, "is that the secret weapon?"

"This was supposed to be done at the gates of the Seireitei but now I have no choice," Reddo said as he held up the talisman, "Come forth powers of the demon realm and lend me your power!"

"Demon realm?" Ramza spoke surprised.

The talisman glowed bright blue and a large blue glyph appeared on the ground and around where Reddo was standing and four pillars rose up around Reddo. The four pillars disappeared and there were four creatures that were standing with arms folded. The Shinigami, Toga members included Ramza were surprised. Ramza was shocked and wide eyed as he saw creatures that he was familiar with.

"Archaeodaemons," Ramza said shocked.

"Huh, what did you say Ramza?" Yashiro asked.

"Why?" Ramza asked, "Why are they here?"

Reddo looked around and was pleased.

"So these are Archaeodaemons," Reddo said, "this is the power given to me to summon these familiars to me!"

"So this is the so called secret weapon," Tomita said with a mocking tone, "resorting to using such corrupt power."

"Shut your mouth!" Reddo replied, "I will do whatever it takes and I will have what I am owed!"

There were roars and several Hollows showed up and drew the attention. The Hollows charged and Reddo quickly ordered the four Archaeodaemons to attack the Hollows. The four demons complied as they rushed the struck and killed the several Hollows with speed and ease. The others were surprised at the efficiency of the demons and Reddo was pleased as he laughed.

"This is the great power given to me," Reddo said feel triumphed, "and now for you despicable Shinigami and an insubordinate traitor."

Reddo raised his sword up in the air and then swung it to the side. An Archaeodaemon rushed and landed in front of Ramza and the other three went and confronted the remaining Shinigami including Tomita. Yashiro and the other remaining Toga members rushed over to Reddo's side.

"Leader, these creatures," Yashiro said.

"They are indeed my weapons against the Seireitei," Reddo said, "my weapons against the Shinigami and the nobles."

"We know that," Yashiro said, "but Ramza, are you really going to have him eliminated?"

"Ramza Beoulve is a traitor," Reddo insisted, "and traitors need to be stamped out."

Ramza was facing an Archaeodaemon and he clenched his teeth recalling facing such creatures before back in Ivalice. He wondered how it was possible for them to be used in the Soul Society and he had the question of where and how Reddo got the item to allow him to summon the demons.

Seireitei

In the office within the barracks of the First Division, Yosuke was kneeling before Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto, the old Shinigami who was the Captain of the First Division and the Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13.

"Very well," Yamamoto said, "you may proceed."

"Understood Captain-Commander," Yosuke said.

Yosuke stood up and left via Shunpo. Sasakibe came by and stood next to Yamamoto.

"Sir, do you think they will be able to solve this?" Sasakibe asked.

Yamamoto didn't respond and went to the side and looked at the view of the Seireitei from his office. Meanwhile Yosuke was running heading to the western gate that led to the West Rukongai and Isshin showed up and met up with him.

"Yosuke," Isshin said.

"Isshin, I'm good to go," Yosuke said.

"All right," Isshin said with a nod, "let's move. We don't have much time."

"This wouldn't be happening had Tomita and the others not rush over to Takame," Yosuke said, "of course with the circumstances with the Togas and the Tomitas…"

"Let's not worry about that," Isshin said, "we just to need to go there and end it."

"You're right," Yosuke replied.

Isshin and Yosuke went through the west gate and were making their way to Takame.

District 40 of West Rukongai, Takame

Ramza was falling back and panted as he was fighting against an Archaeodaemon. Ramza clenched his teeth facing the demonic creature of Lucavi. The Shinigami were fighting against the three others and Tomita clenched his teeth in frustration.

"Stand your ground!" Tomita bellowed, "We are proud Shinigami of the Gotei 13. We shall not be defeated by creature summoned by lowlife like Toga!"

Reddo laughed, "Yeah keep talking Tomita!" Reddo grinned, "Let's see how long you last against my familiars!" Reddo brought his right arm out, "my Archaeodaemons, kill them all. Kill all the Shinigami here and…" Reddo turned to Ramza, "kill the traitor!"

"Reddo!" Ramza yelled angrily.

The Archaeodaemon rushed towards Ramza and tried to swat him with its claws but Ramza quickly blocked the claw attack with his sword and pushed the demon back. Ramza clenched his teeth and then turned to the other Toga members.

"Are you really okay with this?" Ramza asked, "You're just going to let him do this?"

The other Toga members looked at each other and then frowned at Ramza.

"Don't look at us Ramza," Yashiro said, "it's your own damn fault."

"That's right, you brought this on yourself," One of the Toga members said pointing at Ramza.

The others yelled yeah in agreement and ranted of how Ramza was too cocky and thought that he was better than them. The Archaeodaemon rushed towards Ramza to strike him with its claw but Ramza was able to dodge by spinning his body and followed up with a slash using his spirit energy with his sword attack and struck the demon. Ramza followed up again and again adding his spirit energy to his sword attack he slashed the Archaeodaemon vertically in half. The Archaeodaemon was dead as it was defeated. Reddo was shocked seeing that Ramza was to defeat one of the Archaeodaemons.

"Damn you Beoulve," Reddo said angrily.

"What's going on?" A male voice said suddenly.

Ramza looked and was surprised to see Yuji along Satsuki, Takeshi, and many people of Takame.

"Yuji, Satsuki, and Takeshi," Ramza said.

"What the hell are you all doing here?" Yashiro asked.

"With all this is going on, we couldn't ignore this," Yuji said, "what's more, what is this? Are these Hollows?"

"They're demons," Ramza answered.

"Demons?" Satsuki asked.

"Yes, Archaeodaemons that Reddo has summoned," Ramza said.

"Summoned?" Takeshi replied shocked.

"Toga, you summoned these creatures?" Yuji asked upset.

"You damn right I did," Reddo replied, "they are my familiars and they are the keys to take down the nobles, the Shinigami working for them and making my path as my rightful place back in the Seireitei!"

The aura and Reiatsu that the three demons were leaking out were very strong and it was something that disturbed the people as Satsuki felt something sinister from the demons.

"These evil creatures," Satsuki said feeling scared.

"Stand with me!" Reddo called out to the people of Takame, "We will get justice against the Seireitei and we will change it to how we see fit!"

The people looked at each and they were feeling frightened at the demons and most of them were stepping back.

"You don't have to go along with it!" Ramza said.

"Beoulve!" Reddo said angrily.

"You don't have to go along with it," Ramza said, "these are not creatures that will aid us. If we continue to rely on them, we will be consumed or being dominated by them! This will not bring the justice that they talk about. Reddo Toga doesn't want to bring justice for the sake of the people here, he want to rule over the Seireitei and decide who lives and who dies," Ramza turned to Reddo, "If I am lying and tell them how I am and speak on your side that counters what I said."

Yuji looked on and stepped forward.

"Reddo Toga," Yuji said, "is what Ramza saying has any truth of it? If not, then tell us right now and be truthful about it."

"What the hell?" Yashiro replied upset, "Reddo is a just man doing what is right and fighting for the people here in this district."

"Do not be fooled!" Tomita yelled.

"Tomita," Reddo said angrily.

"Do you people honestly believe that Reddo Toga fights for your sake?" Tomita asked, "He doesn't. He fights for only one person and that is for himself. He's greedy man as he has always been even back in the Seireitei. Do people know that he was a noble in the Seireitei? Do any of you know why he is no longer part of the Seireitei?" Tomita pointed at Reddo, "This man blundered on an important assignment given to him in the Seireitei which led to him being disgraced. He disgraced himself so bad that all the servants left him and no one respected him and his family anymore. He left the Seireitei and settled himself here in the Rukongai. This whole thing is just him trying to regain his ego for his own blunders years ago. The truth is that he disgraced himself and his family."

"Shut up! Shut up Kazuya Tomita!" Reddo said, "Don't say anymore! It was you and your ilk that set me up to fail. Don't you dare try to say you played no part of it! It is why I decided to take over the Seireitei and rule it as I see fit and anyone who is against my rule will suffer death no matter who it is. I will decide who will live and who dies. The people in the Seireitei have done it so I see nothing wrong with me doing it as well. I will take over the Seireitei! Now to end this and head to the Seireitei," Reddo turned to the three Archaeodaemons, "my familiars, attack and kill all the Shinigami here and the traitor Ramza Beoulve!"

The demons complied and went on the attack. One of the Archaeodaemons spread out its arms and casted a spell.

"Aurora, exhale bloody air!" One of the Archaeodaemon said, "Unholy Darkness!"

Ramza was wide eyed as a pitch-black void was forming around Ramza.
