Moon Strikes

In the fiftieth district of the East Rukongai, there was young man with short reddish brown hair and wore a dark green sleeveless robe with a brown sash who was walking through the district. The young man was Isilud Tengille and he sighed as he continued to walk. Isilud thought about how he died in Riovanes Castle when he witnessed his father becoming a demon and realized the truth that Ramza spoke to him about.

"I was a damn fool," Isilud said in his head, "I really understood nothing and I paid for my ignorance with my life. I hope Ramza was able to save the world."

"We got what we need," A distant voice said.

The voice surprised Isilud and he stopped and wondered where the voice came from. Isilud got curious and went to check it out. Isilud went through the bushes and saw three Shinigami who gathered around. One of the Shinigami held something glowing in his hand.

"Alright, let take it to him," One of the Shinigami said.

"Huh, what is that?" Isilud spoke softly.

Another Shinigami raised an eyebrow and looked and saw no one around.

"Hey, what's with you?" The third Shinigami asked.

"I thought I heard someone," The second Shinigami said.

The other two looked around and didn't see anyone.

"I don't see anyone," The first Shinigami said.

"Neither do I," The second Shinigami said.

"Uh, I must be hearing things," The third Shinigami said.

"Anyway, let's go," The first Shinigami said.

The other two nodded in agreement and went on their way. When they left, Isilud came out of hiding and wondered what was going.

"They were Shinigami," Isilud said, "for some reason, it seems to me that they were doing something not good," Isilud frowned, "just like what I was doing back in being in the Templars being completely ignorant of what was going and because of that…"

Isilud was thinking of the time that he killed the head priest of the Orbonne Monastery. Isilud frowned at the memory of the things he had done.

"In the end, I'm just as scummy as the others," Isilud said, "if I ever had the chance, I would beg for forgiveness."

District 40 of West Rukongai, Takame

"Unholy Darkness!" An Archaeodaemon said casting the demonic dark spell.

Ramza was shocked as a pitch-black void formed around Ramza.

"Hado#88: Hiryu Gekizoku Shiten Raiho!" A young woman said.

A giant beam of electrical and spiritual energy was shot and it struck pitch-black void and caused it to be destroyed as it exploded on impact. Ramza looked and quickly got out of the way. Ramza and the others in the district were shocked in what they saw and even the Shinigami were surprised as none of them casted that Kido spell.

"Who did that?" Tomita asked.

"It wasn't one of us," One of the Shinigami said.

They looked and saw that it was actually Satsuki who held up her right arm forward using her left arm to grip her firing right hand for support and panted when she casted the attacking spell.

"Satsuki?" Ramza spoke.

"Satsuki, you…" Yuji spoke surprised.

"Hold on a minute," Yashiro spoke surprised, "Why are you able to do that?"

"Hey, are you seriously going to stand with that bastard Beoulve?" Reddo asked not liking what Satsuki did.

"Ramza!" Satsuki spoke with worried and rushed over to him, "Ramza, are you all right?"

"Y-Yes," Ramza replied, "thanks to you. But that attack, was that…?"

"Yes a high level Kido spell," Satsuki said.

"You!" Reddo yelled pointing at Satsuki, "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

"What does it look like?" Satsuki responded looking at Reddo, "I'm helping my friend."

"Oh really?" Reddo replied annoyed, "Then you're an enemy as well."

"Satsuki, why are you…?" Takeshi spoke as he was confused.

"Hold on," Tomita said as he looked at Satsuki, "Oh, I see."

"Sir?" One of the Shinigami asked.

"When I saw you, you looked familiar but now I know why and your name being Satsuki," Tomita said and then he pointed at Satsuki, "You're actually from the Akechi Clan. You're Satsuki Akechi, the second daughter of the noble Akechi Clan."

"Akechi Clan?" Takeshi asked shocked.

"Wait, what?" Yashiro asked shocked.

"Yes I remember hearing that the second daughter of the Akechi Clan left the family and went to reside in the Rukongai," Tomita said, "and seeing how you performed that high level Kido spell without an incantation, there is no doubt since the Akechi family is known in being experts in Kido."

There were murmurs among the people being shocked in hearing the revelation. Takeshi just stood shocked as he shook his head while Yuji was concerned. Satsuki was concerned trying to examine the expressions of the people after hearing her origin.

"Satsuki, it's not true, is it?" Takeshi asked.

"Takeshi," Satsuki said with a sad expression.

"Hey, tell me it's not true," Takeshi insisted.

Satsuki was sad but her expression changed to resolve and shook her head.

"I can't," Satsuki said, "it's all true. I was born in the Akechi family as the second daughter."

Takeshi was shocked as he couldn't believe that the person who he thought of as his sister was a noble the whole time.

"I don't believe this," Yashiro said and the he turned to his older brother, "Yuji, you knew about this, didn't you?"

"And if I did?" Yuji replied.

Yashiro clenched his teeth in anger disgusted with his older brother.

"Fine then so be it!" Reddo said, "You can die too, sister of that bitch Tamayo!"

Reddo directed the Archaeodaemon to attack and kill Satsuki and the demon in question charged towards Satsuki who was in shock. Ramza quickly got in front of Satsuki and sliced off one of the Archaeodaemon's arm. The demon screamed in pain. Satsuki took advantage of the opportunity.

"Hado#54," Satsuki said, "Haien!"

Satsuki fired a purple flame attack Kido and struck the Archaeodaemon which ended up in flames and completely obliterated the demon out of existence.

"Thank you," Ramza said to Satsuki.

Satsuki was happy receiving thanks from Ramza. Suddenly someone showed up from behind and it was Reddo and he swung his nodachi attempting to strike Satsuki. Ramza saw it and quickly shielded her but the sword swing was strong enough push Ramza back. Ramza held himself up and clashed swords with Reddo. One of the Archaeodaemon was sliced up by the combined efforts of the Shinigami. The remaining Archaeodaemon rushed in and swatted the Shinigami including Tomita causing them to fall on the ground. The demon casted a spell and it was Gigaflare and fired the spell at the grounded Shinigami. Tomita and the other Shinigami couldn't avoid nor stop the spell.

"Damn it!" Tomita said.

"Burn, Engetsu!" A male voice said.

A stream of flame-like spiritual energy occurred and the clashed against the Gigaflare and destroyed it. The other Shinigami were surprised and someone appeared before them.

"Look like I made it in time," A male voice said.

The one made their appearance was another Shinigami and it was Isshin holding his released Zanpakuto. The others were shocked seeing Isshin.

"Hold on, it's you," Tomita said, "Isshin Shiba."

Isshin turned to Tomita and the other Shinigami.

"Kazuya, you seem alright," Isshin said.

"What are you doing here?" Tomita asked as he got himself up, "It's unnecessary for you to be here. We had it handled."

"Oh really?" Isshin replied as he was not convinced, "You could have fooled me with how you were seconds away of being killed. There are only several of you. What happened to the rest?"

The other Shinigami looked away feeling shame and it gave Isshin the indication that the rest were dead and he glared at Tomita who was put off by Isshin's glare.

"Don't look at me like that," Tomita said annoyed.

"You know your captain is going to hold you responsible for this," Isshin pointed out, "especially when he specifically said to not go off on your own but you did."

Tomita clenched his teeth in response. Meanwhile Yashiro was surprised seeing Isshin make his appearance.

"Why the hell is Isshin Shiba of the Shiba Clan here?" Yashiro asked.

The Archaeodaemon moved back away surprising Isshin the others as Reddo called for the demon to take down Ramza. The demon complied and rushed over and ambush Ramza. Ramza saw the remaining demon approaching him and swung his sword but his swing was stopped by the demon's hand. Ramza was shocked and the Archaeodaemon snapped the blade of Ramza's sword in half. Ramza was shocked and the others were surprised as well. Isshin rushed over to help Ramza as the demon was about to go in the attack but the demon was stopped and pushed back. The one that caused that was Yosuke who swung his own Zanpakuto.

"Yosuke, it's you," Ramza said.

"So you're here," Satsuki said placing her hands on Ramza's shoulders.

"Are you two alright?" Yosuke asked as he was still had his attention on the Archaeodaemon.

"Y-Yes," Satsuki said.

"We're fine," Ramza said.

"Get to safety," Yosuke suggested, "we'll handle this."

"Okay," Ramza said with a nod.

"Ramza, you did well holding out against them from what I saw and thanks for protecting Satsuki," Yosuke said.

"I didn't do much to deserve thanks," Ramza said.

"That's not true," Satsuki said happily as she held Ramza's arm.

Ramza smiled as he was moved by Satsuki's gesture as he and Satsuki moved away and Yashiro was shocked seeing his younger brother.

"Yosuke, you're here," Yuji said.

"Yuji," Yosuke said seeing his eldest brother and then turned to his older brother and frowned, "Yashiro."

"You shouldn't be here," Yashiro said frowning, "I have nothing to say to you."

"That's fine," Yosuke replied, "and I no longer care what you say or feel about things. I'm fed up with you Brother."

"What did you say?" Yashiro replied back shocked in his brother's tone.

"It's just one thing after another," Reddo said as he was annoyed.

Isshin and Yosuke looked at Reddo who was shaking and gripping the hilt of his nodachi.

"All I seem to be getting is an endless stream of annoyance," Reddo said with anger, "I can't take it. I will not put up with this anymore. Kill them!"

The Archaeodaemon teleported and reappeared behind Isshin and Yosuke with the intent to strike them. Yosuke and Isshin had already caught on to the demon's sneak attack and dodged using Shunpo and reappeared at another spot.

"Isshin, let me handle this," Yosuke requested.

"Sure, go ahead," Isshin said with a nod.

"Thanks," Yosuke said.

Yosuke used Shunpo again and reappeared to face the remaining Archaeodaemon and quickly gripped on the hilt of his sword as the demon charged towards Yosuke.

"Open," Yosuke said and then he unsheathed his Zanpakuto, "Oborozuki!"

When Yosuke unsheathed and activated his Zanpakuto, crescent moons appeared on the blade of his Zanpakuto.

"San no tsuki," Yosuke said as the third crescent moon from the top of his blade lit up, "Hakugasumi!"

Yosuke swung it and created a bright white mist that surrounded the Archaeodaemon. This left the demon confused and disoriented and didn't know what was going on and suddenly the demon saw Yosuke and went on the attack but did not hit its mark as the Yosuke the creature saw was an illusion. The demon was surprised and then saw Yosuke again and went on the attack but the Yosuke the demon attack was another illusion so the attack did not meet its mark. The demon suddenly saw multiple Yosukes that were surrounding it and the demon was furious at the trick that Yosuke was playing on it. The multiple Yosukes went on the attack and the demon started swatting away but was met the same as the Yosukes that the demon attacked were illusions. The Archaeodaemon was struck from behind and turned to see Yosuke. Being sure that Yosuke was the real one that attacked, the demon went to grab Yosuke's head but that turned out to be an illusion as well which shocked the demon. The demon then saw another Yosuke charging towards it and the demon swung at him but it was another illusion. The demon roared in frustration but then was suddenly stabbed in the chest. This shocked the demon and it looked and saw Yosuke who just stabbed the demon as its blood was seeping from its body as Yosuke had made his appearance right behind his illusionary image that had charged the demon beforehand.

"Ichi no tsuki," Yosuke said as the first crescent moon from the top of his blade lit up, "Mikazukiga!"

Yosuke slashed the demon and created a crescent spiritual energy wave that sliced the demon in half. The demon roared in pain as it fell and disintegrated. The people were amazed in what they saw with Yuji smiling at what his youngest brother just did as the mist dissipated. Reddo, Yashiro, and the remaining Toga followers were shocked and couldn't believe what was happening. Reddo was angry at the fact that all the Archaeodaemons that he summoned were all destroyed.

"Nice work," Tomita said as he stood feeling proud, "as expected from you two. Now then," Tomita turned to Reddo and grinned, "It looks like you're out of options Toga."

Reddo clenched his teeth in anger and he looked around.

"It's over Reddo," Isshin said as he and Yosuke approached him.

"We know that you were conspiring with someone within the Seireitei," Yosuke said, "the thing is that we figured out who it was that has been in contact with you and even provided you with that talisman that you used to summon those demons. We know that it was someone named Gustav."

Reddo was shocked when Gustav was mentioned as he was indeed who his source was.

"However it seems that Gustav disappeared from the Seireitei and it must have been when he learned that he was being found out," Isshin said, "and he is being searched for right now."

"A-Are you telling me that he is nowhere to be found?" Reddo asked shocked.

"Exactly," Isshin said, "my guess is that he knew that it was going to happen and took off."

The Toga members were shocked and they looked at Reddo who was seeing red while Ramza was surprised when he heard the name and wondered if was actually the same name of the person who was the second in command of the Corpse Brigade who was convinced by his eldest brother to kidnap Marquis Elmdore. Reddo couldn't take it anymore as he yelled and charged toward Yosuke and Isshin with his nodachi in his hand screaming at them to die. Reddo's efforts proved to be naught as there a slash and the blade of his nodachi broke in half. Reddo was forced to stop and saw that it was Isshin who did the deed as he sheathed his Zanpakuto. Reddo was shaking seeing that his sword broke in half and he was being approached by Isshin, Yosuke, and Tomita leading the remaining Shinigami.

"Leader," One of the Toga members called out.

Reddo looked at his remaining followers and clenched his teeth.

"There's no point anymore," Reddo said, "it's all destroyed."

"What?" Yashiro spoke surprised, "Leader, what are you saying?"

Reddo frowned and looked away and it gave his followers an indication that they did not like.

"Hold on sir, you're not actually giving up, are you?" Another Toga member said.

"You all couldn't keep it together at all," Reddo said directing his anger at his followers, "you get beaten by Hollows and Shinigami, you stand by and let Ramza betray us, yes you Yashiro, and now that my great weapons, my familiars that I had obtained are now gone as well."

"Wait, why are you blaming us?" Yashiro asked as he and other Toga members were shocked in the things that Reddo was saying.

"It's not just you," Reddo said angrily, "it's all you the rest of you people here as well," Reddo angrily turned to the rest of the people of the district, "you all stand by and do nothing and just allowed the Shinigami to come here and do what they pleased. You should have helped and joined me and stand for me but instead you all just stand there and do nothing."

"Hey, who the hell do you think you are?" Satsuki asked as she was disgusted with what Reddo was saying.

"You don't have the right to blame anyone and expect them to just fight for you," Ramza said.

"Shut up you bastard!" Reddo replied angrily at Ramza, "You betrayed me and my cause and have the nerve to try to lecture me. You should have just done what I've said but no you went and worked with Shinigami," Reddo now turned to Satsuki, "I'm finding out that you Satsuki is actually part of that wretched Akechi Clan. You vile woman!"

Satsuki clenched her teeth in anger and the people of the district were angry at the rant that Reddo was spewing out.

"That's enough," Yosuke said, "Reddo Toga, you're coming with us. We have some questions for you."

"Yeah?" Reddo replied glaring at Yosuke, "Well I have nothing to say to you."

"Do you think you actually have a choice in the matter?" Tomita asked smugly.

"The hell with all of you!" Reddo ranted, "You Shinigami are scum and you people are worthless."

"Reddo!" Ramza called out.

Reddo took something out from his robe and it was one of the talismans that was obtain form the Akechi vassals they took down and he used it which shot three huge fireballs at the people and the Shinigami. Isshin and Satsuki quickly responded and moved forward and held out their hands.

"Bakudo#81," Isshin and Satsuki said simultaneously, "Danku!"

They created two large rectangular defensive walls and the three fireballs were blocked and exploded in impact. The walls broke and Reddo was nowhere to be found.

"Bastard, you dare run!" Tomita said.

The people were shocked and the Shinigami were upset.

"We need go after him," Tomita suggested.

"I'll go after him," Yosuke said.

"Okay, go for it," Isshin said with a nod, "We'll stay here and keep watch."

"Right," Yosuke said with a nod.

"Yosuke, be careful," Yuji said.

"I will," Yosuke said nodding at his eldest brother.

Yosuke looked at Yashiro who just looked down and looked as though he was betrayed and the other two Matsuzaki brothers felt sorry for their brother. Yosuke left to go after Reddo. Tomita was about to protest as he wanted to go after Reddo but Isshin cut him off before he had the chance. Meanwhile Takeshi looked on and he looked at Satsuki and frowned and looked at the ground and Ramza looked and noticed the expression that Takeshi had and was concerned. Meanwhile Yosuke was running and looking for Reddo.

"Reddo!" Yosuke called out as he was running and looking for the Toga scion, "Give up, it's over!"

Yosuke stopped and looked around and continue to look for him. Reddo suddenly appeared as he was able to hide himself using another talisman that hid his presence and Reiatsu. Reddo went on his way and looking for options.

"I can't believe this has all gone wrong," Reddo said in his head, "I have to find out what has happened with that dumb bastard Gustav. I will not be stopped by this."

"It such a shame for you that things didn't go as you wanted," A familiar male voice said.

Reddo stopped and looked and saw Kosei who stood before him.

"Kosei," Reddo said surprised and then got angry, "where the hell were you? You did nothing as things fell apart."

"Yeah sorry about that," Kosei replied with a smile, "I had to my own orders to follow."

"Your own orders?" Reddo replied confused, "What the hell are you talking about?" Reddo was annoyed, "The only orders that you're supposed to take is from me. I am so angry right now. First you're gone for a week and say nothing about it and then when I was supposed to take my rightful place in the Seireitei, you're nowhere around when things get bad."

"Hmm, yes I suppose you're right," Kosei said, "but overall, it was a great run," Kosei smiled, "even though the Hollows were defeated, they did great when taking down some of the Shinigami and that batch of Hollows were considered weak in term of skills and strength."

Reddo was shocked in what Kosei just said.

"Hold on," Reddo said, "Kosei, what the hell are you talking about? It sounds like the Hollows were purposely place there to attack us."

"Of course and with the Hollows that were able to hide their Reiatsu that Kazuya Tomita and the other Shinigami couldn't sense," Kosei said, "that is very impressive."

Reddo was wide eyed and was in shock as he stepped back, "Kosei, don't tell me that you were behind the Hollows that attacked us."

"I could tell you that it's not true," Kosei said and then he smiled again, "but then I'd be lying."

Reddo was shocked again, "What the hell? What are you doing with Hollows?"

"Helping conduct experiments," Kosei said.

"Helping?" Reddo asked, "So there is someone behind this?"

"Yeah and I'm working for him," Kosei said, "I've always have while you Reddo and everyone else were a just means to an end. So now with that, I'm done with you. I have no need for you anymore."

Reddo was red again with anger directing his hatred at Kosei.

"Kosei, you bastard!" Reddo said angrily, "If you think that I'm going to just let you go then you got another thing coming," Reddo took out another talisman, "The talismans that you and the others help me collect from those Akechi dimwits will see you fall and I—"

Reddo was cut off in what he was saying as he was suddenly slashed by Kosei who moved in lightning speed. Reddo didn't even see Kosei move as the bespectacled man swung his sword and he was back to back to Reddo as he twirled his katana and slowly placed it back in his sheath and ended it with a click. Blood sprayed out from Reddo's body and Reddo was shocked as he slowly fell on the ground.

"You are so slow in everything," Kosei said in a mocking tone as he turned to the fallen Reddo, "even as you are falling."

Reddo hit the ground and was bleeding out from the cut Kosei inflicted on him. Reddo was again shocked and didn't see how it happened and he glanced at Kosei was standing above him with a sadistic smile.

"You were destined to fail Reddo Toga," Kosei said, "and Gustav, the guy you were conspiring with sold you out. He set you up to fail. You were pawn to him and the guy he truly works for… but I think you figured it out by now."

"Damn it," Reddo said as he was upset with how things were going as he was dying.

"You now die as you lived," Kosei said, "a damn fool who was too blinded by his own pride and ego."

Reddo was on the ground trying to move as he was dying but he couldn't do anything and he breathed his last breath and died. Yosuke came by and was shocked in what he saw and it was Kosei and Reddo who was on the ground.

"Kosei?" Yosuke spoke.

"You're here Yosuke," Kosei said.

Yosuke looked closer and saw that Reddo was dead and then he looked at Kosei.

"Kosei, did you do this?" Yosuke asked.

"I… I had no choice," Kosei said looking very upset, "Reddo was ranting talking about how everything was everyone's fault and he lashed out at me. He went berserk and tried to kill me," Kosei shook his head with a sad expression, "I had no choice. I had to defend myself. Reddo had gone mad."

Yosuke looked at Kosei and then he looked at the dead Reddo Toga. Yosuke and Kosei looked and were surprised to see Ramza, Satsuki, and Yuji. The three were shocked in seeing Kosei and Reddo on the ground dead.

"Is that…?" Ramza asked.

"Is that Reddo?" Yashiro asked shocked.

The others looked and saw Yashiro who was shocked to see Reddo dead. Unknown to the others, there were two men watching them and it was Aizen and Tosen.

"An overall success and we will use the results for our next phase," Aizen said.

"Yes Kosei has succeeded in his task," Tosen said.

"Let's go Kaname," Aizen said.

"Yes sir," Tosen said.

Tosen and Aizen left without being noticed.

Name: Oborozuki (Hazy Moon)

Sealed Form: Katana with a golden brown hilt, bronze five pointed sided tsuba, bronze pommel, and black sheath

Release Command: Open

Released Form: Crescent moons appear on the blade of the Zanpakuto

Shikai Ability: Capable of variety of techniques that corresponds of the crescent moon on the blade.

Ichi no tsuki, Mikazukiga (First Moon, Crescent Moon Fang): The first crescent moon lights up and with a swing of the Oborozuki creates a crescent spiritual energy wave.

San no tsuki, Hakugasumi (Third Moon, White Mist): The third crescent moon lights up and with a swing of the Oborozuki creates a bright white mist that surrounds the enemy and Yosuke can create illusionary clones of himself to confuse the enemies.
