A/N: I'm back! I had a bit of trouble with this chapter, but I hope that you enjoy! Also, I've been having trouble with ffn emails going to my inbox, so if I don't respond to a PM, or don't read a new chapter, that's why.

District Two

Yara Pritchard, 18, District Two Female

Yara moved past the finger-pricking station, and wiped the blood off of her index finger.

"Good luck, Ms. Pritchard!" the Peacekeeper who was overseeing the station called.

"Thank you!" she responded. She had gotten at least five good lucks already today. Everyone in Two knew the volunteers, even though it was not strictly legal. She was willing to bet that she had gotten more 'good lucks' than Canis, considering her personality compared to his. He tended to brood around, whereas she was outgoing. It was obvious who was going to get more sponsors.

"All possible tributes must report to the Reaping Square. I repeat, all possible tributes must report to Reaping Square. The Reapings will start in five minutes. I repeat, the Reapings will start in five minutes." a voice announced from the speakers above.

Yara glanced at the time, and hurried over to the eighteen-year-old girls' section. She caught a glimpse of her fiance, Kieran, over in the boys' section. He gave her a warm smile, and she smiled back and blew him a kiss.

The escort stepped up to the microphone and cleared her throat. This was Charmeine Rosangel, the eccentric, somewhat mad escort of District Two. She was dressed in a white dress, and it had gold angel wings on the sleeves. She was known throughout the district for always prattling on about angels, and whenever a tribute died she said that they had 'become an angel' and 'went to heaven'. She practiced some old religion called Christianity, and since religion had pretty much disappeared, she was constantly trying to push it onto everyone else.

"Hello, District Two! I am excited to begin choosing the tributes for the 80th Hunger Games. Since we don't have to show that dreary video and read that depressing Treaty of Treason, we can get right into the Reapings! But first, let me introduce our mentors for this year: Athena Victor and Casimir Montgomery!"

Yara clapped politely, like everyone was expected to do. She really did like Athena, but Casimir had a reputation for being in some... interesting circles. It didn't matter anyway, Casimir wasn't her mentor, Athena was.

"And now, onto the tributes!"

Canis Adolpha, 17, District 2 Male

"And now, onto the tributes!"

Canis rolled his eyes. Honestly, when was District Two going to get a new escort? This one was convinced that she was an 'angel', and that when you died you 'became an angel'. But, she was a Capitolite, and that was to be expected. Canis was jerked out of his train of thought by the escort announcing the tributes.

"One thing that I would like to say before we begin is that no matter the outcome of these Games, I know that if our incoming tributes die in the arena, no matter what, they will become angels and sit with God."

Canis rolled his eyes. Would this escort ever stop spouting nonsense about angels and religion? Probably not, but he could dream. Maybe she would retire soon. That would be nice.

"Now, ladies first!" Charmeine exclaimed, "Spikelet Hayes!"

Spikelet? Who on Earth would name their child Spikelet? That was just asking for trouble. Luckily, Yara stepped up to volunteer, making whoever 'Spikelet' was not the center of attention.

"I volunteer!" Yara called out.

The crowd cheered, and she had only said two words. Honestly.

Yara made her way over to the stage, and walked up to the microphone. Without waiting for Charmeine to say anything, she introduced herself.

"Hello District Two. My name is Yara Pritchard, and I am very excited to bring our District to victory for the second year in a row."

Canis scoffed. He was going to be the victor, not Yara. Imagine thinking that you, a circus performer, were going to win the Games.

"Well, thank you, Ms. Yara, for those inspiring words! Now, onto the gentlemen."

Charmeine walked over to the other bowl. "Steele Montgomery!"

Well, that was unexpected. Even though the Capitol paid for the Academies in One, Two, and Four, so they knew that there were volunteers, a sibling of a victor was Reaped. Either way, he was volunteering, and this kid was only like fourteen anyways.

"I volunteer!"

A/N: How did you like this chapter? The tributes? I'm almost done with a class I'm in because I didn't have any work, so this A/N will be short.

1. I still need three escorts, so if you are interested, go to the website and fill out the form and PM it to me.

2. Questions! I plan on doing a Q&A after Reapings, so if you have any questions for me, put it in your review and I'll respond to them after the D12 Reapings!

3. Questions for you guys to answer!

1. What do you think of Canis, since you haven't seen him before?

2. What do you think of Charmeine?

3. I can't think of anything else and I have three minutes, so what's your favorite district and why?

Bye!
