A/N: Well look at me, updating in two days! Not much to report, other than I hope that you like this chapter!

District Four

Mira Karagatan, 17, District Four Female

A small hiss sounded as Mira Karagatan removed her finger from the blood-drawing contraption. She stepped to the side as Kori, her twin sister, had the same procedure happen to her. She dragged Kori over to the seventeen-year-old's section to go socialize. Kori reluctantly followed, as she was a major introvert and Mira was anything but. Although the two looked identical, they were different in every way, with Kori being the smart, studious type and Mira being a party girl.

"Mir, can we please just hang here for a bit? It's a full half hour before the Reapings start, and I have this really cool old-age book that I want to keep reading." Kori asked, already knowing that Mira was going to be socializing with people that her sister knew nothing about.

"Kor. You read all the time, you need to loosen up! Have fun, enjoy life. Enjoy seeing me-" Mira struck a pose, "in the Hunger Games."

Mira knew that her sister wasn't very happy with her for putting her name in as one of the potential volunteers, and even less happy when she accepted. Honestly though, Mira had the chance of a lifetime. If she won- which she hopefully would- she would be able to do whatever she wanted. She'd be rich, and famous, and known as 'the party girl of Panem'. Hopefully. If all went well. And as long as the arena wasn't fully made of water. Sure, Mira was a great swimmer, but when she was just learning, she almost drowned, which gave her extreme fear of water. But she wouldn't dwell on it.

"Mira, you know that I don't want you going into the Games. Honestly, I think that it would be best if your name got picked and then someone else volunteered for you." Kori said, grabbing her book from her bag. "Now, I'm going to find some corner in our section and read this. I'll meet you back here at ten before."

As she walked off, Mira looked sadly at her sister's retreating figure. Sure, they were different, but they were still twins, and she wished that Kori would join her sometime.

Mira looked around, and spotted one of her friends. She shook off her sadness and walked over to her.

"Shell! How are you?" Mira asked, immediately perking up. She had lots of friends, but she rarely hung out with them outside of social functions, preferring to talk with Kori or flirt with some of the merchant boys. She wasn't the richest in the district, but she was well-off (her father being a successful fisherman) and sometimes saw her friends as beneath her. Plus, they only saw her as a party girl, something she wasn't quite mad about, but she was smart. Not as smart as Kori, but she wasn't stupid. Something many in the district didn't realize.

After socializing a bit, Kori came up to her and led her to the seventeen-year-old girls' section. It was directly in front of the boys', and Mira made Kori stand at the back, so she could flirt. It was fun, to lead boys on and then walk off, forgetting all about them in a few hours. She had to stop, however, when District Four's escort walked on to the stage.

Aditya Brightstar was one of the oldest escorts on the circuit, but at thirty he was by no means ancient. He was kind, and respectful, if a little sad at times. Rumor has it that he was in love with a victor, but no one could prove it.

"Welcome, District Four, to the Reapings of the Eightieth Annual Hunger Games!"

Clavane Sahores, 18, District Four Male

Clavane snapped to attention as the District Four escort walked onto the stage. He had previously been observing his surroundings, and trying to find Tipp, a sixteen-year-old girl who was like his little sister. Tipp was the most energetic person he knew, and he knew that she had a good life ahead of her. She wasn't planning to volunteer ever, but that was probably for the best. The only reason he was planning on volunteering was to make his father proud. Honestly, that was the driving factor in everything he did. His father had gotten Reaped, and was planning on going into the Games, but, as Four was a Career district, he never got the chance. Since then, he made Clavane train as hard as he could to volunteer when he was eighteen, even if he wasn't chosen.

And not chosen by the Academy of Four he was. But if he didn't volunteer, he would have to live with his fathers' disappointment for the rest of his life. And the disappointment of his father was a sight to behold.

Clavane had gotten so lost in thought that he had forgotten about the Reaping that was going on right then.

"Your mentors for this year, Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta-Odair!" Aditya beamed.

Evidently, he had missed all of the introduction stuff, but that was fine. He didn't really care about it anyways.

Finnick Odair was the stuff of legend in Four, at fourteen winning the Hunger Games, and then becoming a national celebrity after that. He was said to be a good mentor, and had mentored his now-wife, Annie Cresta, leading her to victory. Unfortunately, she had gone a bit crazy after her district partner died, but she had recently had a son, and was reclaiming her sanity in bits and pieces. Clavane would get Finnick as a mentor, and the chosen girl, Mira, would get Annie.

"Ladies first!" Aditya exclaimed, drawing out a slip.

"Mira Karagatan!"

Well, that was unexpected. Clavane wondered if another girl would try to volunteer in her place. None did. Well, Mira was popular, and for good reason. The girl was gorgeous. The girl in question was also recovering from her shock, and smiling and waving her way up to the stage, the crowd cheering all the way.

Mira made her way to the microphone, even though she didn't actually volunteer.

"Hello, District Four! I was actually going to volunteer anyway, but I was Reaped instead. Talk about coincidence! What I wanted to say though, was that I will lead our district to victory!"

The crowd roared, and Clavane was actually kind of impressed. Mira could win a crowd with only a few words, a tool that would be immensely helpful for getting sponsors.

"And now for the gentlemen!"

"Trout Seashine!"

"I volunteer!" Clavane said quickly, before the chosen volunteer, whoever he was, could say it too.

The cameras found him, and he walked confidently up to the stage.

"What's your name, young man?"

"Clavane. Clavane Sahores, and I will lead District Four to victory!"

Honestly, he hadn't expected much, but the crowd was almost dead silent, with the exception of one girl in the sixteen-year-old girls' section. Tipp. He silently thanked her, and moved to stand next to Mira. She gave him a sort of confused smile, and they shook hands.

"Ladies and gentlemen, your tributes!"

A/N: I hope that you liked Mira and Clavane! I forgot to do this last chapter, but thanks to Treble-Notes for Mira and eggnygma for Clavane! And Angel and Mark were created by Auralia Dawn (Angel) and Wandering princess (Mark). Remember to ask me questions and I'll answer them after D12 Reapings! I've gotten a few so far, so thank you!

1. Who do you like better, Mira or Clavane? Why?

2. Who do you think has a better chance of winning?

3. How do you think Annie and Finnick will mentor?

4. Do you have any questions for me?

.

Hopefully you like this chapter! Love you guys!
