Chapter IV
Naruto woke up in the hospital with a raging headache. The only thing she woke up with in her head was an odd name, which was Otsutsuki.
She wanted to stay in this village; it was where she was born. But this voice in the back of her head kept telling her to abandon the place. She didn't know who or what the voice was, but as the days carried on she began to agree with it more and more.
They only want to oppress you.
You will never grow in this place.
Don't you want to achieve greatness?
You are just their weapon, something they use for leverage. In the eyes of a civilian here, you are a demon out for their flesh.
It was midnight. Naruto was writing a letter of goodbyes. She didn't have many to say goodbye to, but she figured to do it to be courteous. She jumped out of her window and began to journey to the borders of the village.
People were laughing. People were crying. Some were drunk, some were kids left out too late. Some were criminals wanting to live another day. Some were common men comfortable with their mediocrity. Whether or not Naruto was there, the village would continue to operate. She used that to comfort herself as she abandoned everyone. She got closer and closer to the border of the village, which alerted the ANBU shinobi watching her. They stopped her on the top wall of the border.
"Stop right there, demon!" one ANBU shinobi said. There were a total of ten.
Naruto stood there. Her eyes roamed the situation, looking for any possible way to get past them. Her eyes suddenly became glassy, the same garden hose veins became more prominent around her eyes, and her posture changed to something more dignified, almost like a princess or a monarch. All of the ANBU shinobi felt an accumulation of chakra inside of Naruto, so they rushed to apprehend her. It was too late for them however, as her chakra pulsed and they were all ripped to shreds.
The loud noise disturbed the crows perched in the trees and poles near them, so they scattered. It was eerie, hearing them crow, and Itachi noticed this. Something is wrong. He took this as a bad omen. He rushed to where the crows came from, and all he saw was the blood and flesh of numerous ANBU shinobi painting the walls of Konoha, and silver hairs on the scene.
Naruto fled the village.. this is bad.
Itachi rushed to Hiruzen's office as quickly as possible to tell him about the news. "Sandaime, Naruto has fled the village, we're not sure of where he's going but he's killed numerous ANBU shinobi." Itachi informed Hiruzen.
Hiruzen immediately stood up, geared up, told Itachi to gear up as well, and an ANBU search team was quickly organized.

Naruto wandered the Land of Fire. She had a vague sense of where she should be going, but she didn't exactly know. The voice in the back of her head just kept telling her to go. She began to lose focus, and everything became a blur as she traveled to her destination.

She arrived. She was at what looked like a monastery, with torn, burnt banners that looked like they had tomoe on them flowing over broken doorways. Why did I arrive here? It's so desolate.
But she kept going. Something carried her. Past the house, onto a ledge that overlooked a massive crater. It was stone. What really shocked Naruto, however, was the fact that there was what looked like a gargantuan tree stump, that was probably twice the size of Konoha alone. And on top of that stump was another tree sprouting.
This will be your livelihood.
Naruto activated her Byakugan. She saw that the tree had chakra emanating from it. It was common knowledge that plants had chakra systems, but this tree just seemed to be made of pure chakra. She deactivated her eyes and questions ran through her mind. She knew the voice in her head was foreign, so she asked for answers. She got nothing. She explored the monastery and found various weapons, millennia old clothing, murals, tapestries, etc. She decided to take what looked like a hime kimono, with tomoe lining the collars and the hem of the item, and a gunbai with tomoe on it. She dressed herself with the kimono and then put the gunbai on her back.
That's the beginning of it. I suppose I should settle here and train.
You should. The voice in her head replied.

Six months have passed. Naruto came to peace with what she was merged with; an alien that sought to harvest the Earth's energy and use it for her own gain. It made sense to her, and she wanted vengeance herself against Konoha. Contrary to what Naruto believed, Kaguya could barely train her, since she knew nothing about being a shinobi; she ruled the world before the concept of shinobi even existed. So Naruto took it into her own hands.
Naruto had gained strength in those six months; she even developed her Rinne Sharingan in her left eye, and could use space-time ninjutsu, but that's about the largest extent of it. She was in no shape to subjugate the world or even Konoha for that matter; she was too weak. Kaguya couldn't teach her how to use such abilities since it's "like teaching you how to breathe."
Besides her newfound visual prowess, she learned how to better use her Byakugan and even Gentle Fist. In fact, she wanted to test her new skills so badly she was travelling to the Land of Waves, where the extension of her will told her where some Genin and Jonin would be fighting against each other.

Team 7 was in a pickle.
They were in a stalemate against two ronin, Haku and Zabuza. Haku was a Jonin level shinobi with ice kekkei genkai, and Zabuza was a Jonin level shinobi with high-level Kenjutsu, using a massive sword.
Their standoff was interrupted by a rift in space slowly opening.
"Get back!" Kakashi yelled to his students. Zabuza and Haku quickly followed, and a pale woman along with a very dark, humanoid figure exited the rift, and it closed.
"Greetings." Naruto said to the shinobi.
"Naruto?" Sasuke's eyes widened. He thought the demon left the village for good and was slaughtered by some bandit or stray shinobi. He never would've thought she survived that long. "Yes." Sasuke heard the phrase from behind him, and he immediately jumped along with Sakura, Kakashi and Sai, narrowly avoiding a grey rod of ash and bone.
"Naruto, back down now! If you do so you'll be brought back to the village unharmed." Kakashi demanded. He stood in front of his three students protectively, holding a kunai in front of him with a tilted wrist.
Naruto unsheathed her gunbai, and her Rinnegan came into fruition.
