Chapter 11

Despite waking up naked in the middle of a forest, Gohan's Thursday was going considerably better than the day before. After leaving breakfast, Gohan arrived to a thankfully empty dorm room to change and get ready for the day before he had to make his way to Defense Against the Dark Arts, his first class of the day.

Everything was going rather normally for Gohan despite the half-saiyan periodically checking that he still had his tail wrapped around his waist underneath his robe. It felt natural to have his tail back but he definitely didn't want to field the questions if he accidentally slipped up and let his new appendage show. After Defense, Gohan had Herbology class, which was scheduled just before lunch.

Gohan enjoyed Herbology; it was a pretty easy class for him because the majority of the work didn't involve using his wand, which he was still trying to get better at. Knowing how to study and memorize from a young age had greatly helped the young scholar so far in all of his classes, anything written, test or homework, Gohan passed with flying colors which seemed to annoy a few of his other Professor's who assumed that the boy just didn't like trying in class or just enjoyed blowing things up to annoy them. Professor Longbottom, however was one of Gohan's favorite teachers because he didn't make those kind of assumptions evidenced by the comments he wrote on Gohan's essays and the help he offered with the simple spells the students had to use in class. Professor Longbottom was kind and patient with his teaching style and always tried to make the material make sense to the kids in class in whatever ways were necessary. It was shocking to hear from Albus one day that Professor Longbottom (who Gohan had learned was one of the Potter family's close friends if Al accidentally referring to him as Uncle Nev was any indication) struggled in school when he was young. Clearly he got better at magic, his position as Professor and Deputy Head Master was proof, which actually filled Gohan with hope that someday he too would be able to get better at using his magic.

Another positive Gohan thought about Herbology was that the class was taught in the Greenhouses so every other day he was guaranteed a trip outside which always boosted the young boys mood. Shortly after class began, Professor Longbottom briefly lectured the students, before the kids divided up to complete the tasks set out for their time in the greenhouse. Gohan was partnered up with Albus as well as his roommate Ben and a Slytherin girl Chloe. Their task was to trade out the soil in the large buckets which once housed Mimbulus Mumbletonia. The kids had to wear their gloves because of the possibility of coming into contact with old stinksap but otherwise it was a pretty easy job. Just as the group started to split up and get to work Gohan felt a part of his mind tingle, a part which he hadn't felt in quite awhile.

"Gohan."

"Piccolo?" So surprised to hear his mentors voice, Gohan didn't realize he spoke aloud while quickly glancing around the greenhouse for his tall green friend.

"Come to the Lookout on Saturday." Piccolo simply stated in the young boy's mind, Gohan finally realizing his friend wasn't actually present in the greenhouse with him.

"Is there something wrong Piccolo?" Gohan replied with concentration despite the rest of his mind quickly going through all of the many possibilities of why Piccolo would need to see him.

"No, but we have much to discuss, am I correct that your tail grew back?" Gohan nodded to himself before replying knowing that Piccolo couldn't possibly see his response.

"Yeah, it did." Gohan thought to himself miserably, of course Piccolo would know what happened, he always knew everything.

"We'll discuss that on Saturday. I believe I have some additional training that will help you as well." Piccolo's firm voice echoed in Gohan's mind. The young saiyan was still holding onto hope that in a few hours his tail would just disappear on its own, and because of that hope, the young boy hadn't gotten much further than that in his thought process that morning. However he was also eager to find out what Piccolo had in mind for training.

"Right, I'll be there." Gohan nodded to himself, who was he to refuse an invitation to see his old mentor and friend.

"Good. See you then kid." Piccolo stated, the fuzzy feeling in his mind turned off before Gohan could bid his friend farewell. The young boy wasn't fazed by that however, he would be more concerned if Piccolo had stayed around for a long chat, then he would know something was wrong. Thinking about the upcoming training session this weekend, Gohan admittedly wasn't paying much attention, and was nudged by Albus to get his attention back.

"Gohan, we're supposed to go refill the soil in the Mimbulus Mumbletonia." After receiving no response from his ebony haired friend, the green-eyed boy tried again "Gohaaaann." Albus stretched out his name while prodding Gohan's shoulder hoping to get a response from his friend. Gohan had been acting super weird since yesterday and that was really starting to worry the other boy.

"Huh, oh sorry." Gohan snapped out of his train of thought and shook his head coming back to the present, which was class in the greenhouses, not training with his mentor.

"Daydreaming about lunch again?" Albus asked receiving a strange look from his wild haired friend. "You were smiling and I'm pretty sure you said something about pickles…." Albus said which just earned him an embarrassed laugh from his odd friend.

"Heh heh yeah something like that," Gohan replied rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment before setting off with Albus to work on their Herbology project.

Transfiguration was Gohan's last class of the day after an always-appreciated lunch hour. The young saiyan hadn't heard anything from Professor Mutatío about the detention he gave Gohan yesterday, so he figured he would talk to his professor after class. It was also the first time that Gohan had seen the Hufflepuff boy Glassman after their incident in the hallway and Gohan's first class without his buffers Albus and Scorpius.

Once inside, Gohan took his usual seat near the middle of the classroom, Professor Mutatío had assigned seats in alphabetical order which Gohan hadn't usually minded, but that meant today he was forced to sit just in front of Eddie Trenworth who was the last person he wanted to see. After all everything bad that had happened in the last day and a half had been the other boys fault and as kind hearted as Gohan was, he was finding it hard to forgive the boy who was constantly giving him nasty looks behind his back. Eddie promptly took advantage of his position to hiss at Gohan.

"Son...where'd you go last night, Ror said he thought he heard you crying in the girl's bathroom, but I'm sure you were just planning dark things with your loser friends." Eddie hissed obviously hoping for Gohan to make a scene, the wild haired boy pointedly ignored the other boy.

"Nurse said it was lucky that Tommy's hand wasn't permanently disfigured. Did dear old convict daddy teach you that one?" Eddie said still taunting the other boy.

"Shut up Eddie." Gohan muttered mostly trying to get himself to calm down.

"Ahh he speaks, and here I thought you were both dumb and deaf," Gohan rolled his eyes and controlled his breathing, he'd heard worse taunts from much scarier people after all, he couldn't allow this child to provoke him like this. Thankfully before Eddie could continue, Professor Mutatío entered the room and began lecturing. Gohan could feel Eddie sending dirty looks his way as well as sending looks to the other kids around class the whole period but Gohan faced forward to ignore the boy. After class was over Eddie thankfully left the classroom while Gohan waited around for the other students to leave so he could talk to the professor.

"Um Professor Mutatío, about my detention yesterday, I…" Gohan politely began but was cut off by the professor. Gohan had thought from the first day of class that Mutatío was a rather frightening looking man, he was quite tall, but also very thin with sharp edges and angles all around his body. He spoke concisely and sharply and nobody dared mess around in his class.

"Mr. Son, you will serve your detention here this Friday at eight, good day." Mutatío spoke concisely not letting the young boy get a word in edgewise.

"But sir…" Gohan tried again but was once again cut off

"Violence is not tolerated in the hallways,"

"…but I didn't hit..." Gohan tried to speak getting frustrated.

"I suggest you leave Mr. Son if you do not wish to add to your detention, good day." With that the stern professor marched through to his office with his teaching bag closing the door with a resounding click leaving the frustrated half-saiyan alone in the classroom. Sighing Gohan left the room resigned to the fact that he would have to serve the detention, maybe he could talk to him then.

Much to Gohan's not quite lack of surprise, 24 hours after his potions incident found the half-saiyan with a still fully functioning tail. If the tail didn't obviously give his less than fully human status away, the fact that a potion that on normal humans went away after 24 hours didn't was the clincher. Gohan would have to really keep that in mind when dealing with potions and other magical concoctions that were designed for the fully human wizard. It was a good thing that Gohan really had never been sick a day in his life, well besides being physically beaten up obviously.

The next day came and went for Gohan and thankfully it was a lot less eventful, Gohan had managed to send his mother an owl expressing how excited he was about the baby news, he left out all the other details surrounding it however because he didn't want his mom freaking out.

Gohan's Friday evening detention soon approached despite him and his friends agreeing during dinner how unfair it was. He arrived at Professor Mutatío's office a few minutes before eight only to find a note addressed to himself.

Mr. Son,

Certain evidence has surfaced that you were not the instigator of the fight last Wednesday. Therefore your house points have been restored and you are released from Detention. However I would be very careful in the future, you may be predisposed to violence, but it is not an acceptable solution here at Hogwarts.

Mutatío.

Gohan read the note over twice to make sure he read it right. Despite the odd last sentence a large smile erupted on the young boys face. He had no idea who or what got him out of trouble but he was glad that he wasn't going to have to spend his Friday evening doing who knows what when he could start getting excited to go visit Piccolo tomorrow. He would worry about his professor's clear bias against him for whatever reason another day, after all it wasn't like he ever tried to start fights, they just always came to him.

Gohan was so excited about visiting Piccolo and the Lookout he could hardly sleep. Eventually the excited boy got a few hours of shuteye, but was up quickly once the sun finally started to rise through the dorm window. The half-saiyan rushed to get ready and head out to his usual spot in the forest where he trained. From there he focused his senses outward in search of his mentors energy, which would give him the direction to fly in towards the Lookout. Weird. The half-saiyan boy thought when his search for Piccolo's energy came up for naught. Gohan decided to try Dende's energy, although much smaller, he was usually easy to track. Still nothing, Gohan searched out his senses for anyone else that he knew, and couldn't access anything.

A short terrifying thought shot through the boy that something terrible had happened and all of his friends were gone, but the more he thought, the more it made sense, it dawned on the young saiyan that since he had arrived at Hogwarts, he hadn't felt any of his friend's energy signatures. At the realization Gohan berated himself with a frown, I have been so dumb and irresponsible, what would Dad say? I'm supposed to be protecting the Earth and I've not paying any attention to anything besides myself. Gohan winced to himself, the truth stung. Sighing knowing that there was nothing to do right now about his negligence, Gohan thought about his current situation. Guess I'm going to have to do this the old fashioned way, Gohan thought as he took off high into the sky. Not knowing exactly where he should start to fly, Gohan thought logically to himself if the people here referred to his home as East District, he might as well start by heading east.

A few minutes into his flight, which was directly into the steadily rising sun, Gohan spotted a strange sight on the horizon. Where there should have been only ocean and sky, a fuzzy sort of green space appeared. Not looking away from the sight, Gohan upped his speed towards the blur. A moment later it was as if the cotton in his brain he hadn't know was there a moment ago, the cotton which had been preventing the young boy from feeling the power levels of his friends was removed. On top of that Gohan was now clearly over a forest which had definitely not been there a second ago. Shaking his head to make sure he wasn't seeing things, Gohan grinned because now he could clearly feel the location of the Lookout with Piccolo, Dende and Mr. Popo's energy signatures. Turning in the right direction the young saiyan took off at a high speed towards his destination.

Arriving at the Lookout found Gohan a welcoming sight. Piccolo was hovering in his meditative stance while Dende waved with a shy smile towards his young friend. Touching down on the pristine white tiles, Gohan ran toward his Namekian friends with a large smile and gave his smaller friend a large hug much to the delight of the young green guardian.

"Gohan, it's so nice to see you my friend!" Dende exclaimed with a smile, which Gohan gladly returned. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Piccolo drop out of his meditative stance and join the two smaller beings.

"Gohan, I'm glad you made it." Piccolo said as well, looking the ever confident and menacing fighter to the outside observer. Gohan however noticed the upturn of his mentor's lips that showed the young boy his teacher was happy to see him as well.

"It was so weird Piccolo, I didn't realize until today that I couldn't sense your energy at school." Gohan exclaimed thinking through what had occurred since he had snuck out of his room that morning. "I was flying east and all of a sudden it was like my whole head was finally out from underwater which I didn't know it was in." Gohan tried to explain the feeling to his mentor, still not understanding what could have occurred. To his surprise it was Dende that spoke first.

"Yes, the barriers between this world and the world of your school are quite strong. Mr. Popo has told me all about the strange separation that occurred hundreds of years ago. I am glad you were able to make it past on your own Gohan." Dende smiled, but Gohan was still clearly confused. Turning his gaze towards Piccolo told the young saiyan that he would have to research the topic at a later date because Piccolo clearly had something planned if what he said next was any indication.

"Your tail is back Gohan." Piccolo simply stated.

"Uh yeah, there was an accident in one of my classes and it grew back, it was supposed to only last for a day but..." Gohan had unwrapped his tail at it's mention and showing the appendage that was decidedly not absent was answer enough.

"You transformed with the moon." Piccolo said, of course be knew, thought Gohan suddenly remembering how in the dark he was about his own body the other night because no one had told him the secret about his tail. Piccolo continued to explain.

"When we felt your power level spike, Dende kept an eye on you through the night." Gohan looked surprised at this revelation but Piccolo continued before Gohan could say anything.

"Dende thought it would be best I not interfere the other night. Kami reminded me that the giant monkey has never liked feeling a powerful being near him, and thus causes far more destruction. Luckily you seemed to have behaved yourself kid, whether that was from Dende's influence or your own maturity." Gohan looked at his master a small bit of understanding surfacing on his face.

"I didn't need to interfere, however, I wished to make sure you were fine myself which is why I contacted you to come here today." Piccolo stated neutrally but Gohan could see a small tinge darken on the cheeks of his green skin. The young boy's mouth upturned into a small smile, he knew from Piccolo's small and large gestures that the earth growth Namekian cared for him but it was nice to see it in person on the stoic warrior every once in awhile. Piccolo continued speaking before his student could embarrass him with his emotions any further.

"We'll deal with your tail before you leave but first I want to see what you can do with your magic. You've been doing some training Gohan?" Piccolo stated, Gohan rubbed the back of his head realizing that Piccolo was keeping close tabs on his student.

"Um yeah, it's helped with my magic and not blowing everything up." Gohan admitted.

"Good, but I have a feeling that you're not separating your energies enough. I have a technique that may help, but first use one of your magic spells." Piccolo stated, straight to business as usual. Dende had excused himself from the duo to get back to work with Mr. Popo, leaving Gohan and Piccolo alone near one of the edges of the Lookout. Gohan thought for a moment about what he could use, glancing around for inspiration. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but Gohan really hoped he could impress his mentor with his magic. Seeing some downed leaves from the nearby garden, Gohan decided on the first spell he had managed to not butcher.

"Ok um, Wingardium Leviosa." Gohan stated aiming at one of the larger leaves and up it went in a jagged motion. Gohan realized how nervous he was which was affecting how much power was being put into the spell. But thankfully the leaf didn't blow itself up and Gohan aimed his wand down to the pristine tile to let the leaf back down.

"Interesting." Piccolo stated turning towards his former student. "Your magic is much different than Dende's or even Kami's was. Their magic uses their life force and are thus tied to the power they create, you seem to be channeling a different energy that is then exuded through your wand." Gohan's face scrunched up in thought. He had known that the power he felt when using his magic was different than his Ki, but didn't know that it could be coming from a different source altogether. Although it made sense why some people would have magic while others did not even though everyone had a life force.

"Ok Gohan, be sure to keep a hold of your magic wand while we go through this technique." Stated Piccolo moving onto their next task. Piccolo gestured for his student to sit in a meditative stance and Gohan complied sitting down on the white tiles and closing his eyes.

"Relax, I want you to try and find the inner source of your magic energy. " Gohan nodded and began to concentrate on the words that Piccolo was saying. He'd spent most of his life accessing his Ki, feeling the new source of power he never knew about until three months ago wasn't going to be as easy.

"I don't know what I'm looking for Piccolo. When I try to do magic it just feels like a different sort of energy attack." Gohan admitted after sighing in frustration, he wasn't sure how long he had spent searching through his energy but it felt like it had been a long time.

"Concentrate on the power you feel coming through you from your wand." Gohan nodded trying to feel the miniscule changes of energy his magic brought on.

"I feel it, but it's so slight, anything I do feels like it overcomes it." The half-saiyan admitted.

"Let that energy flow through you Gohan...concentrate!" Gohan nodded again, concentrating on the feeling of the power coming through his hand grasping onto the wand. Distinguishing the magic from his natural energy wasn't easy so Gohan decided to just let both flow through his arm, a surge of power intermixed with a different sort of feeling. Sparks started spraying around the young saiyan and his wand, a wind had risen up at the outpouring of the boy's energy.

"Easy Gohan, bring out the feeling of your Magic without rising your Ki." Little did Gohan know, but the half Saiyan was starting to transform into a super saiyan. Nodding without opening his eyes for fear of losing concentration Gohan's hair slowly began transitioning back to black, his aura of energy diminishing. Suddenly Gohan's eyes flew open.

"I felt it. I felt it Piccolo!" Gohan announced in excitement. "It was like suddenly my normal power finally let go of control and let this…I don't know how to describe it, but it's my magic I know!"

"Very good Gohan." Piccolo stated his lips upturning in pride to his young student. No matter how strong his young mentee was, he still had much to learn. Before the duo had a chance to try out Gohan's new technique a shout made its way across the Lookout surprising the young boy and Namekian warrior.

"Piccolo! Gohan!" The sound of Krillin's voice left Gohan scrambling to his feet to greet the former monk. "What's wrong? I felt a huge spike of power, and thought something bad had to have been happening." Gohan looked at the short fighter who was currently wearing casual khaki shorts with a flowery button down indicating the man had jumped up from whatever relaxing he had been doing at Kame House and rushed straight to the Lookout.

"Nothing's the matter Krillin, I was just doing some training with Piccolo." Gohan related to the bald man who was currently bent over in half regaining his composure.

"I'll never get used to how strong you are kid. Not that I'm not relieved it's just you and not another super villain." Gohan heard Krillin mutter to himself shaking his head in relief. "Wait Gohan, aren't you supposed to be at your school?" Krillin asked.

"Well, it's Saturday and I don't have classes so I could come here to work on some stuff with Piccolo." Gohan said to the short man.

"Oh I see. I never went to normal school so guess I don't know how that works heh heh." Krillin admitted face turning red in embarrassment. "It's good to see you kid!" Krillin exclaimed now that his body had calmed down from fright pulling his best friend's son who was getting slightly taller than him into a hug. "Having a good time at school?" He asked the young scholar ruffling the boy's wild hair.

"Yeah! It's been pretty crazy the last week though." Gohan admitted unwrapping the tail that was around his waist. Gohan had decided to wear his Gi to train with Piccolo so there was really no hiding his furry appendage. Krillin noticed the movement out of the corner of his eye.

"WHAT!" The former monk exclaimed. "How do you have a tail again!?"

"Uh it grew back after an accident in one of my classes…" Gohan explained before Krillin's face grew pale.

"Wait…there was a full moon a couple days ago, I remember cause Eighteen and I sat out to look at it cause it was pretty romanti…" Krillin explained with a blush forming on his cheeks. "Oh no did something happen!?" The former monk was obviously worried about the answer his best friend's kid would give.

"Uh well, I did turn into the giant monkey thing, but I made it out of the castle and away from people just in time." Gohan explained annoyance creeping in because he still didn't fully understand what had happened to him the other day. Krillin visibly looked relieved.

"I'm glad to hear that bud." Krillin said turning toward the Namekian "Piccolo, do you think we should get rid of it?" Gohan let out an annoyed humph much to the surprise of the other two fighters.

"Hey, I'm not five anymore why don't you ask me?" Gohan uncharacteristically huffed.

"Gosh, sorry Gohan." Krillin admitted in embarrassment not used to the young boy talking back. Guess the kid is growing up. Gohan suddenly seemed to realize what he had done and quickly backtracked.

"Uh sorry didn't mean to yell, I just…it's been a bad week." The young boy admitted, rubbing the back of his head in shame, all of the stress between his tail and the kids at school catching up with the kind hearted boy. Piccolo unaffected by his student's outburst simply kept speaking about the topic at hand diffusing the awkwardness much to the two shorter fighters relief.

"Gohan, I think it best that we remove it. I spoke with Vegeta and he agrees."

"What! You talked to Vegeta?" Gohan couldn't help but blurt out, never would he have thought that Piccolo and the Prince of all Saiyans' would talk, let alone have a constructive conversation.

"Believe me kid it wasn't my idea of a good time. However stubborn that man is, he is the only person alive who knows anything about the Saiyan race."

"Wow, Piccolo and Vegeta volunteering to talk? Never thought I'd see the day." Krillin laughed, Gohan joined in the laughter thinking about the absurdity of it as well. Piccolo continued with a growl ignoring the two laughing.

"Vegeta said that a Saiyan's power grows ten times as strong as his base form when transformed into the Oozaru, as he called it. However we all know a Super Saiyan is much stronger than that, therefore the tail is an unnecessary weakness." Piccolo explained.

"Yeah I'm sure Vegeta didn't say it quite that nicely but it does makes sense." Krillin added in. Gohan shrugged, despite the nostalgia of having his tail back, if it was a weakness and also burden to hide, he figured it was best to be heading back to school sans tail.

"So now that that's settled, Gohan, since I'm here and all, tell me all about Magic School, make any friends?" Krillin asked his young friend eager to hear a bit about what the young savior of the world had been up to the last few months. Gohan proceeded to tell Krillin about school and the friends he had made much to the confusion but obvious delight of the bald fighter. The older man was happy to hear that his young friend was getting to just be a kid a little bit, especially after the year that they all had. Piccolo was obviously listening in despite not making any comments during the conversation. During this time Mr. Popo had approached the trio with a blanket of food for lunch much to the young Saiyan's delight. After finishing their picnic, Gohan realized he had a question he wanted to ask his friend.

"Hey Krillin, would you mind checking in on my Mom some the next few months before I come home?" Gohan shyly asked his older friend.

"Uh sure kid, no problem, but your mom's a pretty tough lady, I'm sure she's doing just fine." Krillin responded slightly surprised by the boy's request.

"Well, with the baby coming and all, I just want to make sure she's okay since I'm not there." Gohan simply stated.

"The what?!" Krillin asked in confusion for not the first time in their conversation.

"Oh, sorry I thought everyone had probably heard, Mom's having a baby soon!" Gohan answered in excitement, still not over the fact that he was going to be a big brother soon.

"Well, considering we didn't even hear about you until you were four kid, I'm not surprised." Krillin trailed off before looking to the sky thinking about his departed best friend "Another kid Goku... wild." Gohan looked to the older man who held a gentle smile on his face before looking up as well thinking about his father.

"Don't worry Gohan, I'll make sure your mom is fine, I'm sure your Grandpa is keeping her nice and safe as well." The older fighter comforted his young friend.

"Thanks Krillin, I'd go and visit but something tells me I'd just get in trouble with her by sneaking away from school." Gohan rationally thought to himself. He knew technically students weren't supposed to leave Hogwarts grounds but he obviously had to visit Piccolo when he asked.

"No doubt, hey, I'm surprised that you were able to make it through that barrier thing to get here. Dende said that's why Yamcha and I had to host that red headed lady this summer." Krillin said trying to remember the details about the young guardians odd request.

"Mrs. Potter?" Gohan questioned thinking about his friends' mother who had first visited and told him about being a wizard.

"Ah yeah, that's right, that was her name, she was quite the looker." Krillin laughed to himself remembering the strange encounter.

"But Krillin, I thought you had a crush on Eighteen!" Gohan blurted out earning him a smack on the head from the short man.

"Gohan, just because a man has found The One doesn't mean he still doesn't have eyes. Trust me you'll get it when you're older." Krillin smirked thinking about his surprisingly good love life at the moment. "Speaking of, I best be heading out, good to see you Gohan, drop by Kame House whenever you want!" Krillin stood up heading towards the edge of the Lookout before lifting into the air. Gohan waved up at Krillin before yelling his own goodbye,

"See ya Krillin, say hi to Master Roshi and Eighteen for me!" Krillin dropped suddenly in the air as the pre-teens words hit the older man, Gohan could swear he saw a bright red tinge on the former monks face before the man faded into the distance. Glancing at his watch, Gohan realized it was already getting late into the afternoon.

"I better go back to school Piccolo if I don't want to be reported missing or something." Gohan said with a light laugh, Piccolo glanced down at his pupil with a nod.

"Come back next week and we can continue working on separating your power." Piccolo said to the grinning boy.

"Sounds great Piccolo, thank you, I think this training will really help!" Gohan replied brightly already thinking about the feeling of that strange faint thread of magic power he had felt earlier. Piccolo nodded in agreement with a gesture over the young boys head.

"Before you go, Dende will help remove your tail," Gohan nodded with a gulp seeing the young guardian approach the duo again. Gohan hadn't remembered anything about when his tail was removed when he was little, but he supposed it was because it was right after his transformation had occurred the first time. The young boy didn't know what to expect from it now, but he needn't have worried because before he even knew it, his furry appendage was gone and Dende was even nice enough to use his healing powers. So if anything Gohan felt better than he had all day.

"Thank you Dende, Piccolo." Gohan nodded to both his Namekian friends.

"Of course my friend, please come and visit again soon, we didn't have time to speak about your new world today, but I have been doing research with Mr. Popo and there is much I think you would find interesting!" Dende gently articulated clearly hoping to have some time with Gohan the next time he visited the Lookout.

"We will see you in a week Gohan, continue your meditations." Piccolo nodded imparting his wishes on his student.

"Right, of course! See you next week!" Gohan smiled and waved while lifting off into the afternoon sky. Spreading out his senses, to his surprise he could easily feel the small grouping of magical energies he had become familiar with during the past few months. How he could sense them from here, and not his friends from there left Gohan's brain swirling as he flew in the right direction back to the castle. It must have something to do with what Dende wanted to talk about which made Gohan eager to return again soon.

Hello all, thanks for reading. Sorry this chapter took a bit to get up, and let's just say the wait was definitely not worth it, I deeply apologize about the poor writing, I'm quite dissapointed with it myself. I have lots of ideas coming for scenes and let's just say this one fell very flat and is generally icky. But as I promised myself earlier, just let it go and keep writing otherwise it would probably be another three years before I updated lol. I hope there was at least a tiny baby bit of enjoyment had with the interactions and getting some DB world time. Hope I didn't scare too many people reading this away by the extremely janky flow, promise the next chapter will be better hopefully. Anywho, enough rambling, let me know what you think :)
