I woke up in the middle of the night, hearing the vixen in my arms sleeping soundly as I held her. Neither of us had managed to get under the covers before we had passed out those few hours earlier, but it wasn't a cold night at all. Actually, it felt rather stuffy. Moonlight came through the window behind me, illuminating the bedroom in its pale shimmer, but as I turned my gaze towards said window, I noticed that it was shut. Being careful not to wake her, I unwrapped my arms from around the vixen's waist and stood up, quietly shuffling towards the window and opening it just enough that a fair breeze of brisk fall air came through and cooled off the room.
As I turned around to face the bed once again, I noticed that I felt somewhat parched, causing me to slowly and silently walk out the bedroom and down the hall until I came to the stairs. As I looked down the steps, I noticed that the deck lights for both the upper and lower decks were on.
"Huh," I sighed, slowly stepping down the stairs as a faint uneasiness slipped into the back of my mind. "I thought Goldy would've turned those off by now…"
When I reached the bottom, I took a quick look around the main room, seeing that everything was where it was left, more or less, so I shrugged it off and walked into the kitchen. I thought for a minute, wondering whether I should get a glass of water from the tap or simply grab a bottle of water from the fridge, and after a good thirty seconds of contemplation, I figured that a bottle of water would be a safer bet considering I could close it afterward and won't have to worry about it spilling in the middle of the night.
'Looks like midnight water's going to have to wait.'
The light from the fridge partially blinded me, causing me to raise my arm for a quick moment so I could let my eye adjust to the sudden blast of light. But, when I grabbed the bottle of water, I watched the lights outside get shut off, causing me to nearly drop it as I turned around and quickly looked outside. Before I could see anything, a new thought rushed into my mind. Did we even close the sliding door to the deck? I spun on my heel and quickly left the kitchen, soon crossing the main room with the dining table and fireplace which had couches in front of it, and into the entertainment room, to which I saw that I was indeed correct about my assumption about the door being open.
I set my bottle on the edge of the pool table and quickly closed the distance between me and the door, but when I grabbed the handle I had the sudden urge to go check the lower level, because Goldy may have walked down to turn off the lights. Against my better judgment, I stepped out onto the deck, unable to see much in front of me with the moonlight, but I could make out the distinct shape of the hot tub, and the rails which lined the edge of the wooden platform. Though, when I walked over to the edge of the deck, I felt my hackles raise slightly. I had the distinct feeling that someone was watching me, causing me to turn around only to be met with the feeling of a fist into my jaw, throwing me against the rail.
The darkened figure was pulling his arm back for another hit, about to deliver a second haymaker to my face. After some quick thinking, I grabbed the hand and slugged him in the gut with my right fist, throwing him off balance a bit. I proceeded to shove him back, but before I could get any ground he managed to pull his arm from my grasp and sucker punch me in the side of my throat, causing me to gag a bit before he started shoving against me, nearly throwing me over the rail. I started thrusting my knee into his gut, hearing him howl in pain before I slammed my fist into his throat directly, soon throwing him into the ground to which I let myself gain my balance for a second, listening to the gruff sounding coughs that were emitted from the attacker.
Before I could get my bearings, I once again felt my head get jerked violently to the left, my jaw having a searing pain rushing through it. I felt a pair of arms wrap around my torso, attempting to pick me up and probably slam me into the ground. As I looked over the brute's shoulder, I saw another three men by the edge of the wall, wearing black clothes and face coverings, but I could see that the entirety of the group was made up of canines. Before the one holding me could do anything, I realized that this meant that Mangle was possibly in trouble as well, causing me to instantly change gears and slam my elbow into the poor mutt's throat several times before he finally let me go and fell to the floor gagging. I felt reinvigorated, in a way, by the fact that I needed to protect her, and prevent them from getting in the house, so I instantly thrust my fist into his jaw repeatedly, until I heard a snap come from his face, soon seeing that his jaw was dislocated, so I kicked him in the chest before he could even think of anything else.
It seemed a little excessive in hindsight, but I wasn't going to let them get anywhere near her; not in a million years. Hell, I'd probably outright kill them if I found any inside.
I saw that another one of them was rushing towards me, the glint of a knife in his hand shimmering in the moonlight. Instinctively, I switched my hand to my blade and cut him short, right across his forearm, nearly severing the appendage as he shouted in pain and stumbled back towards the hot tub. The original attacker finally stood up with a somewhat dazed stumble, trying to get into what I guess he considered a fighting stance before I finally rushed towards him and shoved him back into the ground with my shoulder, hearing a loud thump as I watched his head jerk backward into the wooden deck.
"I'm getting my knife back," I heard a rather displeased voice say from the final two, walking towards me with a slight limp.
"You wish," I replied, switching back to my hand before watching him rush towards me, so I ducked down and slammed into the side of his hip, hearing him grunt in pain before I wrapped my arms around his legs and stood up with the man over my shoulder. I turned towards the rail with a swift spin and threw him down, hearing a snap come from the man as his lower back connected with the rail, soon watching his bottom half go limp as he fell over the rail and I heard a splash from below.
I turned around, facing the last one as he was seemingly frozen in place. With each forward step I took, I noticed his body shake uncontrollably in fear. I continued onward, eventually coming face-to-face with the poor runt to which he tried to look at the ground. Instead of letting him ignore me, I grabbed his snout and made him face me, squeezing tighter and tighter until I heard a small yelp escape his maw.
"I want you to take everyone in your posse, and fuck right off. If you dare bring yourself around here again, I will fucking murder you myself," I spat in his face, not letting him back away as I saw him press his own body against the wall. After a few seconds, I let go of his face and then caught him with a right hook, sending him to the ground with a groan as I stepped back and gave him enough room to get his friends. Watching him slowly collect the one who's arm I nearly amputated before he tried to walk past me and into the house, but I stepped in the way blocking him. "No, you can leave the way you came," I shouted at him, switching to my blade for a second and bringing it up to his chest, assuming he thought I could shoot the blade again from the few feet of distance between us. Thankfully for him, he took the hint.
Slowly but surely, I watched as he eventually pulled every single person from the upper deck and take them to the lower one, but that's when stuff got awkward. He had to drop each one from about a ten-foot ledge, into a bush which he hoped would cushion the fall. But, as I watched, I noticed that there was a wet spot from the pool on the edge beside where he was dropping them off at, and that there was a trail of water following to the same spot as well, so I assumed that the one I threw over drug himself out as well.
Finally, after what I assumed was the longest ten minutes of their lives, the last one went over and I finally took a breath of relief, walking back into the house and shutting the sliding door before locking it. Honestly, I probably shouldn't have let them leave, and I sure as hell shouldn't have simply left after they got off the deck, but seeing as there were only two who were conscious that could stand from what I've seen, they were nowhere near dangerous anymore, and with the door locked; I could trust that if they broke the window I could get to them before they could get anywhere comfortable.
As I walked up the steps, I thought about whether she had woken up or not, and if she did… Well, I don't know if she'd be thrilled to hear me coming before she even knows it was me. So, I called her name as I walked up the stairs, not loud enough to wake anyone if they were asleep, but loud enough that a conscious person would definitely be able to hear it. I continued this for a few seconds before I finally walked into the bedroom, and of course, the vixen was gone from the bed. So, for a final time, I called her name and she finally responded from the bathroom.
"Are you alright," I asked her as she slowly stepped out from the doorway, but instead of saying anything, she rushed from the doorway and quickly jumped into me, nearly throwing me into the floor as she held my waist tightly, mumbling into my chest and occasionally kissing at my neck. To say the least, I was completely caught off guard, and I promptly fell onto my back while she continued her assault of holding me tightly and kissing me. After a few seconds of struggling to gather myself, I managed to grab hold of the side of her head and pull her back for a second so I could catch my breath and gain my bearings.
"Are you alright?"
She looked at me puzzled for a second, causing me to grow concerned before she wrapped an arm around my neck and pulled herself against me again, except this time she nuzzled into my neck. "I was scared you'd gotten hurt, or worse," She said, muffled by her lack of care to pull away for a second, but I didn't mind. I wrapped my arms around her waist and back before shuffling to one knee, soon getting to my feet before kneeling and picking her up, then walking towards the bed and laying her on it, but it was at the moment I realized she wasn't going to let go of my neck as I was bent over her at the side of the bed.
I thought for a minute before I eventually gave in and simply crawled over her onto my side, soon laying on my back and pulling her up into my lap as I brought my knees up so she wouldn't fall. She shivered in my arms, causing me to tighten my grip around her before pulling her head away from my shoulder for a second. "You seem pretty cold," I noted, making sure to keep my voice comforting as she nodded, her eyes somewhat glassy as I felt my shoulder somewhat wet as well. "Want me to get a-" I went to ask before she grabbed the blanket and practically balled it up around us like a cocoon before she sighed and rested on me again.
After a while of thinking about what had transpired in the past hour, I began chuckling lightly into her shoulder before she pulled away. "What's so funny," She asked me, now much less shaken up than earlier. "Well, those poor guys stood no chance," I chuckled, squeezing her slightly before continuing. "That last one about pissed himself when I walked up to him." She giggled a little bit as I rubbed the small of her back. "Are you trying to make me think that there was nothing to afraid of," She asked me with a smirk while I grew a grin.
"Maybe… Am I doing a good job?"
"Well, now that I have the image of a guy pissing himself at the sight of you in my head I don't think I could fear them at all," She giggled, nuzzling against my neck again. "Especially after considering you're my teddy-fox," she finished with a small sigh. I chuckled at her joke and finally leaned back, letting her fall over with me as we laid on the bed, wrapped up tightly in the comforter which she yanked from each corner of the mattress. "Well, I'd say I accomplished my job for the night," I sighed, bringing my arm from her back to rub her head, soon nuzzling up against her left shoulder. "Well, there is something else we can do tonight," She mused, but soon I felt her tongue trail up the left side of my neck until she stopped at my jaw and kissed my cheek, soon giggling to herself for a few seconds.
"Oh, is that so," I said, letting a low growl escape my throat as I loosened my grip from around her, letting her sit up. As I looked up at her, I saw she was staring right back at me with a smirk planted on her lips as she started trailing across my chest with her hands.
/
It was early morning now, me and the arctic vixen were still wrapped up in the comforter, however, it was a lot looser than earlier, and neither of us had slept at all that night.
Hmm… I got stabbed, drunk, and fought off a group of home invaders last night.
I'm exhausted to all hell.
And now, I have work today…
"Worth it," I mumbled to myself as I looked down at the bare vixen in my arms who was playing with the gruff on my chest as per-usual. "What is it," She asked me, not even bothering to remove her head from its spot on my shoulder as she kept playing with my fur. "I was just thinking about what I'm going to tell Andy. At this rate, there's no way I'm getting to work on time," I replied with a light chuckle as I realized how much I probably messed up. "I doubt he'd care if you didn't come in today. Especially after remembering that you quite literally got stabbed just the day before," She sighed, "Plus, I have no idea how you're even able to consider going work after last night." I looked down at her as she patted my chest, yawning a bit as she snuggled up again and closed her eyes, causing me to grin as I shook her. "Aw, I just want to sleep…" She groaned, looking up at me with begging eyes.
"I'm not going to sleep, neither are you. We need to fix the bed and clean up," I told her, rubbing her shoulder a bit as I shook her, causing her to let out a loud sigh as she propped herself up with her arms looking at me. "Remind me to never persuade you from going to work again," She told me, causing me to chuckle at her as she stared at me with an angry expression. "Who said that I wasn't going to work today," I asked her as she simply stared at me dumbfounded. "So you're going to work after we clean the bedroom," She asked me with a tone of disbelief as I smirked at her. "Hell, no. I'm exhausted," I replied with a light chuckle, causing her to gain a confused expression.
"If you're exhausted, why are we getting up to clean?!"
"Because I would rather sleep in a clean bed, without matted fur."
She sighed in agreement and she rested on top my chest for a minute longer. "Fine, we should get a bath first," She said, slowly unwrapping the blanket from around us and getting to the edge of the bed. I went ahead and slid off the bed only to turn around to see her hesitating for a second. "Are you okay," I asked her, causing her to look over at me. "I think my legs are still exhausted… And earlier didn't help much either," She said, mumbling the last part as she laid back and rested her arms on her face with a slight groan. "It's alright. I'll go get the water started and I'll come grab you," I replied, leaning over and kissing her on the cheek before standing back up and walking into the bathroom, soon making my way over to the tub and cutting it on until it got to a comfortable warm temperature, warmer than what I usually prefer, but I know she likes it toasty.
As the water filled up, I walked back into the bedroom to see her still laying on the bed, so I walked over to her and picked her up, causing her to gasp a little bit at the sudden movement and look over at me with a freaked out face. "It's only me," I chuckled to her, seeing her smirk at me before wrapping her arms around my neck and squeezing me hard. "Little tight there," I managed to choke as she loosened her grip with a satisfied look. "Yeah, I was hoping I could mess with you a bit," She replied with a playful growl. "I think this ol' captain's out for the count right now," I chuckled to her, hearing her sigh before resting on my shoulder while I walked into the bathroom. "Yeah, I am pretty exhausted as well…" She sighed as I got up to the tub.
She let go of my neck as I leaned over and sat her inside the water, standing back up, and soon turning around.
"Aren't you going to get in?"
I turned back around to face her, seeing a somewhat confused and mischievous look on her face. "Well, I was going to grab the comforter and sheets from the bed and go ahead and throw them in the washer, then bathe before turning it on," I replied, seeing her beg with her eyes. "Come on, I was hoping you could wash my back like yesterday," She said with a pleading tone as I sighed.
"Fine, we would probably save some time and use less water."
I stepped into the tub behind her, slowly setting myself down inside it and letting my legs slide past her, the water rising almost past her chest as I dropped in, causing us to finally turn off the water. She grabbed a washcloth from the side of the tub and drizzled some soap on it and handed it to me before telling me to rub it across her back like I did yesterday, which I did for a good five to ten minutes, watching the suds lather into her white fur coat as I heard her groan – or moan, rather – incoherent sentences in front of me, giving me a small laugh at her reaction.
Then I remembered that I had a patch on my shoulder, which wasn't waterproof, might I add. I quickly felt my right shoulder, soon realizing that the patch was missing and that the cut had stopped bleeding, thankfully, but only because of a small layer of the dried synthetic blood was covering it. Sadly, I would have to peel it away when we were finished as the dried liquid could block nanobots from properly healing the wound, hindering the process which I was already desperately hoping would hurry up.
"Hey, uh, I may need to get a new patch after this."
She turned over her shoulder at me, seeing me feeling at the spot before she suddenly gasped. "I forgot all about that, is it okay," She asked me rather quickly as I watched her twist herself around so that she was now on her knees, facing me, and crawling partially over my head and looking at my back. Granted, I will never deny that the view was great (to do that was a decision worse than murder in my book), but at the moment, I was worried she was going to slip and fall on top of me. Without thinking, I grabbed her hips and tried to set her back down, but instead, I accidentally contributed to the problem and she slipped, causing her to fall on top of me as I slid down into the basin of the tub with her.
I quickly grabbed her shoulders and pushed her up, soon coming up out of the water to hear her laughing. "Wow, this has been an eventful morning," She chuckled, causing me to laugh with her as I held onto the edge of the tub. After a few seconds of trying to control myself, I finally regained my composure and looked at her. "Are you okay? That's the second time that's happened," I said, concerned that she may have hurt her legs earlier. "Yes, I'm fine. I just need to relax for a little bit," She replied with a giggle, soon grabbing the rag again and began lathering herself up.
We were in the bath for a good thirty minutes more, this time with no more incidents thankfully, and when we got out she showed me that she could walk, though, she still stumbled a bit and preferred sitting or leaning against the counter. After another good ten minutes, we finished drying and got dressed; me in a pair of tan shorts with a white tee-shirt and her in some black sweatpants and a pink t-shirt.
'Par for the course, I guess.'
I did my best to reach over my shoulder to get the fresh patch on, until the vixen reached up and helped me get it over the wound. As we stepped out of the bathroom, I insisted on having her lean into my side as we did so I could catch her if she fell, thankfully she never did, and I had her sit at the table while I gathered up the bedsheets and left the bedroom, going left towards the laundry room, but before I could get to it a familiar face stepped out of the bedroom beside ours…
A certain coyote…
"Jesus Christ, I heard you two all morning…"
"What…" I mumbled, freezing to a halt as I got beside her in the hall, still facing the laundry room door. "How in the hell did you two go from three A.M. until fucking sunrise," She exclaimed, throwing her arms out in an exasperated way. My cheeks were now lava, and my face must have glowed – actually; that's an understatement. My cheeks felt like the damn sun. "Well, what had happened was-" I was cut off before I could even explain, granted the wording probably killed that one for me.
"No, is she even able to fucking walk right now?" She asked, throwing her arms out again before continuing. "All I heard all morning was her moaning her head off as the wall got slammed into… I didn't even think you had that in you!"
"Will yo-"
"I mean, for fucks sake, there were like five different breaks in between, but it just started up probably ten to twenty minutes later! How in the hell?"
"Damn it, Ava! We didn't even know you were here," I half-shouted back at her. "Jeez… Just remind me not to stay in the room next to yours," She replied with a chuckle as she started hysterically laughing. One thing I have learned about her, she's never actually mad. It's usually her just goofing around – Well, unless she runs into the room and singles out someone with the word "bitch" in the sentence, she isn't actually mad. If she does that, it's best to simply leave the room for the next ten minutes to an hour-
"Wait, Ava."
She turned around to face me again with a curious look on her face. "Yesterday, I got into a fight at the bar," I said, beginning to stuff the sheets under my left arm as I pulled my right wrist up. "Isn't that your job to begin with," She asked me. "Yes, but, yesterday I managed to shoot the blade out of my wrist," I added, switching to the blade and holding it out toward her. "Oh, yeah, Jason never taught you about that, did he," She asked me with a smirk as she reached over and pressed on the tab, causing the blade to release and let her pull it out of the mount.
"No, he never bothered to mention it either. But, why are you taking it?"
"Well, I can refill the cartridge that propels the blades, but I'll just hand you one of my spares and take this one to refill later."
She reached down at her waist, pulling out another blade that was exactly like the one Jason gave me from a belt that I never bothered noticing, eventually extending it out to me. "Would you mind seating it? My hands are a bit full," I smirked, motioning towards the wad of fabric underneath my left arm. "Yeah, I guess," She said, placing the cylinder in my wrist and forcing it down into it until there was a sharp click, signaling that it was inserted. "Thanks, Ava," I told her, seeing her smirk a bit.
"Don't mention it. Now, I have to find Mangle so I can pester her about this morning," She cackled, soon turning around and walking towards the stairs. I was half-tempted to shout to her that she was in the bedroom, but I knew that she wouldn't be able to handle the coyote this morning, so I instead turned around and walked into the laundry room. I opened the washer and tossed the bedsheets in before I poured some detergent, closed it, and put it on a wash cycle. I looked back at the shelf and grabbed another set of bed sheets, soon exiting the laundry room and heading back down the hall, before stepping into the bedroom to see the vixen playing around with her bowtie at the table.
"So, Ava was here last night," I told her, walking over to the bed and setting the bedsheets on it. "And what is the importance of that," She asked as I began unfolding the sheets. "Well, she kind of heard everything last night… And she might be searching for you so she can ask you about it," I replied, hearing her groan. "Do we have any beer in the house," She asked as I looked over at her somewhat shocked.
"That was the last thing I ever expected to hear come out of your mouth."
"Well, you ditched me the last time when you cooked pancakes, so you don't know how thorough she is with her questions," She exclaimed, leaning back in the seat as I started throwing the fitted sheet around, soon straightening it out as I put it on the mattress. "To be fair, that was the first time as well," I retorted, now unfolding the top sheet and throwing it out over the mattress before walking around the bed and straightening it out as she spoke. "Listen, just help me out this time around. That way we can both share the embarrassment," She pleaded, causing me to sigh. "Fine, I'll help you out with Lady Crazy down there, just help me out with this sheet," I said, struggling to get a crease out as I would continuously under or over pull the sheet. "Deal," She exclaimed, getting up from the seat and moving over to the opposite side of the bed to which she straightened it up with me.
With a lot less struggle from the comforter, we finally finished up making the bed with simply throwing the pillows up at the top so we could finally go and let the coyote confront us about last night. As I started to walk out of the bedroom, I noticed the patch from yesterday on the floor, on my side of the bed, so I picked it up and threw it into the trashcan beside the doorway before I left the room. "You know, I bet this is going to be a walk in the park," I chuckled as I walked behind the vixen who was starting to descend the stairs. "You don't even know the half of it yet," She retorted, the two of us reaching the bottom to hear the familiar voice of the coyote shouting our names.
"Okay, maybe you're right."
The vixen shot me a glare from over her shoulder as Ava ran up to her and squeezed the breath out of the poor arctic fox, soon grabbing her wrist and dragging her off to the entertainment room before she could object, causing me to burst out in laughter. "Okay, I guess I should go save the poor girl," I chuckled lightly to myself, slowly strolling into the entertainment room to see that they were both sitting at the round table, Ava sitting with her back to me and the pool table where Mangle had her back to the windows to my right.
I walked over and around the vixen, soon sitting down to her right, across from Ava, with my back to the wall. "Oh, so you finally bother to barge in here," The vixen exclaimed as Ava grew a grin.
"Okay, what did you two do last night? Doggy, traditional, a little bit of the more risqué positions?"
In the few following seconds I listened to the rather lewd and blunt coyote, I realized what I had gotten myself into. I looked over at the door to the deck to see that Goldy was walking in with a case of beer, heading straight for the mini-freezer. "Hey, Goldy. Nah, bring that thing right here," I shouted to him, sweeping my arm across the table and knocking over several books, a deck of cards, and some poker chips. "Uh, sure? I guess we can grab another later," He said, shrugging it off as he set the case in front of me. "Thanks, man," I told him, soon ripping the top of the case off with no remorse and pulling out a can before popping the top and chugging it, much to the shock of everyone in the room who was currently staring at me like I was some demon.
When I finished it, I crushed the can and grabbed a second, opening it up and taking a sip before setting it on the table. "Okay, you can continue now. I just needed to get something in me so I know I'll be tipsy in about twenty minutes." As I looked around the room, the coyote had an even larger grin, the bear looked like he saw a ghost, and the vixen was currently shaking her head back and forth, but not without a can of her own in her hand as well.
"Should I ask or…" Goldy trailed as I looked over at him. "You don't want to know… I mean that. You don't want to know at all…" I warned him, seeing him swallow a bit before he walked over to the pool table and grabbed a cue stick from the rack on the wall above the mini-freezer.
"So, as I was saying earlier; did you do doggy, standing dragon, downward dog-"
"Ava, where the fuck did you learn this," The vixen asked her as the coyote instead continued.
"-Maybe a little bit of cowgirl so you could get a rest, or maybe reverse so you could see her solid ass? Or maybe-"
"I honestly question where in the actual hell you learned this stuff," I mumbled, hearing her list off at least ten more names without even thinking.
"-ot seat, sixty-nine (nice), a socket, face off – also known as the lap dance – mountain climber?"
I took the chance I got of her stopping and cut her off from continuing. "How in the actual fuck do you know all of this? I mean seriously, stop, I've killed a second beer already and you're still going – hell! I'm already a quarter of the way through with my third one," I exclaimed, holding up the silver can in my hand. "I mean, damn! Were you a fucking stripper before you came here?"
"No, not that I remember. I was simply designed to hunt down Jason and eliminate him," She replied. "I just, how do I put it… I kind of got exposed to some rather unsavory memory files on a computer…"
"I, for one, blame Mike for that incident. If he hadn't used laptop I was using to backup your memory we wouldn't be dealing with this," Goldy exclaimed from the pool table as he prepped up the pool balls again. "I'm going to say it now, I have no idea what over ninety percent of the bullshit you just said was, so I think it's safe to say, no, we didn't do anything like that," The vixen told her, causing me to sigh as I looked down at the case of beer which was now down five cans. Three from me, two from the vixen.
We dealt with the coyote's bluntness for the next hour and a half, and she made sure we hadn't spared a single detail. The case of barley beverages was soon half of what it was earlier, holding only three more cans. At this rate, I'll be giving Jason a run for his money in the entirety of his lifetime. I suffered the onslaught of rather personal questions for another good thirty minutes before I saw a smirk grow on the vixen's face.
"Well, have you ever done anything?"
The coyote froze for a few seconds before she looked over at the arctic fox. Soon growing a bashful look as she tried to avoid her gaze. "Well... no, but-" She went to say before she was cut off. "It's not anything special," The vixen replied, shrugging her shoulders with a grin while the coyote gave her a disbelieving glare.
"Bullshit, last night you were giving a brothel a run for its money."
The minutes following, I was seated for the sounds of the coyote trying to imitate the vixen's rather… orgasmic sounding moans from earlier today with a smirk planted on her face. The bear had retreated from the room, heading towards the kitchen as she finally stopped with an even larger smirk. "Good, you just ran Goldy off," I told her to which she shrugged, only for the bear to walk in with shot glasses and a bottle of scotch that I didn't even know was in the kitchen, soon planting the three shot glasses on the table, one for myself, the vixen, and for himself, and poured us each one.
"Well, do I get one?"
We all looked at her, but before anyone could speak Goldy chuckled. "No, you are the last person who needs to be drunk right now," He replied, grabbing his glass and motioning for us to grab ours. "Cheers," He shouted before he downed the shot without even a wince. We both did the same, it was rather bitter-tasting, but nowhere near as bitter as the vodka. It went down relatively smoothly for me, but for the vixen, it was an entirely different story. "Holy-" She started coughing hard as she began thumping her chest.
"You alright there, Mags?"
She shot me a glare that could kill, but I merely chuckled hysterically as Ava laughed with me. "Wait, he calls you Mags," She asked in between laughs as the poor arctic fox continued choking on the shot, soon managing to keep it under control. "You're lucky I don't have a nickname for you, yet," She replied, pointing at me with a smirk as she held onto the table with her other hand. "Aw, I thought I was 'yer cap'n,'" I replied, chuckling even harder as I saw her cheeks go partially red. "We'll settle this tonight," She said, shooting me a smirk.
"Well, don't keep the house up tonight," Ava remarked with her own smirk as we both looked over at her. "Well, get up whenever someone is trying to rob the house," We both shouted back at her, me playfully throwing an empty and crushed can at her as she blocked it. "Wait, someone was trying to rob us? When," Goldy asked, causing us to divert our attention to him. "This morning! Five assholes got onto the deck and I had to deal with 'em," I told him, seeing his eyes go wide. "Why didn't you wake me up," He retorted, throwing his arms out.
"I made one of them scream like a girl and neither of you woke up, hell, I walked back into the bedroom to see her hiding in the bathroom for crying out loud," I shouted, pointing at the vixen to my left as she was also shouting back at them. "Well… Damn, I'm sorry. I'll make sure to keep an eye out later on. I'm just glad that you were up to stop them," Goldy replied, the coyote also agreeing as they everyone hushed up for a minute.
After a few minutes, I finally felt the alcohol kick in. Same as the others, well, Goldy and Ava to a lesser extent as they didn't have any of the beers. Even though I knew that the upcoming hangover was going to be hell, I was extremely relieved to know that the bimbo of a coyote, no offense to her, was finally deterred from asking any more questions.
'Damn it, Ava...'
