It was almost two weeks after those gangsters had made the mistake of attempting to break-in.
Right now I was resting on top of the hill, overlooking the imminent sunset after a long day. After Foxy got off of work, he came home and grabbed me before taking me out to eat at a local restaurant, then we of course went to the bar for a little bit, but we didn't get drunk. We instead got a bottle of wine from Andy before we went home, grabbed a blanket, and climbed up the hill. And, admittedly, we probably could have settled on simply going onto the side of the road and looking, but we chose to climb through the woods so we could find a spot that he had found a week prior which led to a partial cliff face, except if you really wanted to you could simply roll off of it and have the time of your life. We both enjoyed basking in the cool breeze that would hit us occasionally as we waited.
"Hey, you know what I just realized we forgot?"
I looked over at the vulpine who was laying on top of the blanket somewhat behind me, fumbling the bottle around in his hands.
"What?"
"We forgot to bring some cups."
"Well, we can just drink from the bottle," I chuckled to him, laying back and using his lap as a pillow as he set the bottle down and started running his fingers through my head-fur. "Yeah, I suppose we can. I'd probably prefer that as well, to be honest," He replied, sighing a bit as he propped his body up by his other arm's elbow. The sun glowed a bright orange on the horizon, a somewhat familiar sight for the both of us now, but it is always as captivating as the last time with how it seemingly shimmers as it nears the bottom.
Our outlook gave way to a somewhat large forest. It didn't seem like it was very built up, but I did know that there were trails in it. It was something that Clark had told us about, he and his mate would walk through them when they were younger and had at one point, knew the whole area like the backs of their hands. At times, I'm tempted to grab the vulpine's hand and drag him off with me into the forest, to explore and see what all is in it, but then I think against it. The main factor against it being that it's already late when we get up here, and we've both exhausted ourselves earlier in the day. But, I guess that means we both need to simply get up earlier and walk out here before we go to town.
"You know, I never thought I'd actually see a sunset without being trapped behind a window."
I turned my head over to him again, seeing him smile as he stared out over the horizon. "Why's that? Didn't you ever consider running away before you met me," I asked him with a slight smirk as he looked over to me. "Well, before I met you, I wasn't love-struck and didn't care whether I woke up the next day. So, no, I didn't really consider running away. I was just prepared to suffer," He sighed, looking back at the horizon again. "Yeah, you did look pretty rough when you arrived, and you sounded even gruffer. I remember when you were walking up and said something along the lines of; "There's my damn eye patch." Only for you to step out from behind the wall looking like you got out of a fight with raggedy clothes," I chuckled to him, seeing him grin as I spoke. "Then you stumbled up from behind me, walking over and simply dropping into the chair at the table over, almost looking like you were going to flip out of it."
"I bet you that you thought I was a drunk as well, huh?"
"You were damn near it," I giggled, hearing him laugh with me as he continued petting my head. "I swear, I don't know how in the hell you were able to charm me after everything that happened." He looked over at me with a smirk as I kept giggling at him. "I'd say that it's because you never saw me with a shirt after our first time meeting each other," He replied in a joking manner as I giggled at him. "Yeah, because you got into a fight and they accidentally tore the thing off you," I retorted, smacking him in the chest slightly as he chuckled, grabbing my hand and holding it for a bit as we both looked back at the horizon, the sun now halfway hidden behind the green sheet that covered the undergrowth of the forest.
I quickly rolled onto his chest, looking down at him with a grin as he looked back at me kind of shocked. As he tried to understand what I was doing, I leaned over towards his ear and felt him tense up a bit.
"What do you say, we go ahead and open up the bottle and drink a little bit?"
"I was waiting for you to ask me that," He stated with a chuckle, soon reaching across the blanket for the olive-colored bottle and sitting it up beside us. The vulpine reached around my torso, popped the cork out of it, and grabbed it by the neck before carefully sitting up and bringing the bottle to his lips. He took a quick swig before handing me the bottle, to which I took my own sip and set it down beside us while I rested in his lap. He started nuzzling into my left shoulder, causing me to giggle as I felt him occasionally lick or kiss it, though, he inadvertently left his own shoulder exposed, prompting me to start nuzzling into his for a few minutes as we both continued our little game.
We'd repay each other with a lick or kiss each time one of us did it to the other, but after a while I grew a little bold and nipped at his neck, feeling him grow tense as he started playfully growling at me. I felt the vulpine nip a little harder on my neck, causing me to giggle before nipping him back, the two of us going back-and-forth a little harder each time before there was suddenly a rather loud beep emitted from somewhere, right beside out ears, causing us both to pull back and look around for the strange noise.
"Wait-"
I looked back over at the vulpine, seeing him crawling towards me with a curious look in his eye. I watched as he held his hand up in front of my face, seeing a small light shine onto his furry palm. A small light in the shape of a ring was shining from my right eye, the light spinning around as it brightened my pale yellow iris. "Oh, I guess we accidentally started up that thing," I said with a shrug as I felt along the side of my head, slightly chuckling at how worked up we had gotten over a small beep. "What's it for," He asked me, slowly sitting back down on the blanket as I crawled back over and sat down beside him, resting against his side. "Well, it was originally meant to call security into any room I was in. I only ever used it once, but it isn't really important," I sighed, turning towards him and wrapping an arm around his back as I used my other arm to rub his torso, feeling the flannel material of the shirt he had wore today. It was a blue shirt, but it was actually fairly nice and seemed pretty comfortable as I rubbed my face against it.
He started rubbing the side of his neck as I held onto him, causing me to pull back and look at him. "Are you okay," I asked him, seeing him sigh as he dropped his arm from his neck and scooped me up into his lap in a way that I was facing him. "Well, I was wondering if… Maybe, we could… You know, continue where we left off," He asked with a slight grin, pressing his forehead against mine as he lightly rocked side-to-side with me in his arms. I looked up at him as he brought his face to meet mine and I kissed him for a few seconds before pulling back with my own grin, soon drifting down towards the left side of his neck again before I nipped him with a slight giggle as he gave me another low growl.
His head drifted to my neck as well, now playfully biting me back as he continued growling at me. We went back-and-forth for what felt like half an hour, both of us going lower and lower down each other's necks until I felt my snout get stuck inside his collar, causing me to pull back for a second to which he pulled back with me, seemingly snagged on the collar of my dress shirt as well. I reached for the top button, soon starting to unbutton his shirt until about halfway so I could pull it away and reach his neck. The vulpine also undid my shirt, though much to his chagrin, I had a bra on underneath it so he couldn't steal a peek as he pulled my shirt to the side so he could reach my neck. Neither of us bothered to say anything as we went back to nipping at each other, occasionally earning a yip or growl from the other as we neared the base of the other's neck.
We both knew where this was going, and I was enjoying every second of it.
I felt him reach the soft spot where my neck connected with my shoulder, causing me to shudder as I felt his fangs lightly press on the vulnerable spot. I felt his breath warm as it blew over my shoulders, ruffling my fur in his wake. To someone else, it may have seemed like he was giving me a hickey, but I knew he was simply waiting for me to respond.
So, I did.
I reached the soft spot on his shoulder, lightly pressing my own fangs against it as I bared my teeth and bit down just enough to pierce the rubber layer that covered his neck, my canines breaking through the gel that had molded his body's shape. The vulpine tensed up as I held myself there, soon biting down on my shoulder which sent a shooting pain through it as I felt his teeth pass through and his jaws lock up around me. The pain was nearly unbearable, but that's what made it so special. I knew that he'd go through hell and back for me, and I'd do the same; even if either of us caused it. We were completely rigid as the sun finally dropped beneath the horizon, allowing the moon to finally pick up the slack on the other end of the sky, but neither of us minded it. His arms squeezed me tighter as I jerked my mouth around a bit to make sure that it wouldn't seal itself back up, though, that was only one of the things that we had to do to accomplish that. The other was simply staying locked onto the other with our fangs sunk in each other for a good few hours.
I felt the breeze blow by, chilling my shoulder as the oily liquid trickled downward, staining my usually snow-white fur.
The two of us sat there, locked onto the other for what felt like hours as we would jerk our maws around lightly. Tears streamed down my face at first, but after the first hour it finally went numb; and after the next couple hours, we finally released our maws from each other. He pulled back to look at me, but I instead leaned over and started licking at the fresh wound on his shoulder, making sure to help clean it before we finally got up and walked home. Thankfully, he caught the idea and leaned over towards my shoulder and licked at mine as well. The feeling was somewhat soothing as I felt his tongue lap up the blood for the next fifteen minutes, and when we finished and I finally pulled away from his shoulder for the first time in the past probably three to four hours; we were both grinning like idiots as I lunged forward and kissed him, knocking him flat onto his back as he wrapped his arms around my waist and back.
We laid there for around another five minutes before we finally decided that we should leave, eventually standing up and gathering up the blanket and bottle, which he stuck the cork back into, before we both started our trek through the woods. I couldn't tell what month it was exactly, but I could definitely tell that the temperature was starting to drop lower and lower every week. The sound of leaves crackling and twigs snapping was all we heard as we stepped through the underbrush, both of us wrapped around the other. Sadly, the moon wasn't high enough to shine through the trees, but I could still see somewhat well as we finally stepped out of the woods, coming to a half at the street as we turned left and started walking down the hill.
It was only a five-minute walk, so it wasn't unbearable, and we could already see the house as we continued on. Both of us playfully bumped into each other, him also tickling me every once in a while as he wrapped me up in his arms, careful not to drop the blanket or bottle. I'd wrap up his tail with mine in an attempt to mess with him, but it's hard considering his is much longer in comparison, though, I've learned a few tricks to counter him.
We finally reached the house, soon stepping inside to see that Goldy and Ava were trying to put together some part, a common sight when Ava's around as she always asks the old bear to teach her that type of stuff. Honestly, I don't know whether to consider that a gift or a curse at times. I mean, it's another person that could help repair or severely disfigure someone, but she wouldn't do that to anyone most likely, unless they really piss her off.
"Oh, hey! You two finally got home."
The two of us turned over to see the coyote looking up at us with a smirk. "Yeah, did you have something you needed to ask us," I asked the coyote. "No, I was just bored after you two left. I was thinking maybe we could get a little drunk and get in the pool," She said, setting down the piece of metal she was holding before she stood up and stretched. "I don't want to be getting a hangover on a work night," The vulpine chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "Pool sounds like fun, though."
"Yeah, I might join you all down there as well," Goldy replied, grunting a bit as he stood up, making his way toward the stairs as the two of us walked towards our room. I grabbed my two-piece and walked into the bathroom as the vulpine started undressing in the bedroom, soon getting changed and walking out to see that he had changed into his shorts.
"Now, let's see how that patch looks."
I walked behind him, slowly lifting the patch off the back of his shoulder to see that the wound was mostly healed. Granted, it was still visible, but he shouldn't need the patch anymore. "Well, good," He chuckled, grabbing the patch and balling it up in his hand before turning around to me. "I was getting sick of having to replace it every day." I giggled a bit as I looked over at him, seeing him rubbing where the patch was as if the spot was a long lost item of his. The two of us walked out of the bedroom and made our way towards the deck, only to see that Ava and Goldy had already gotten down there. As we walked down the stairs to the lower level with the pool, we watched as the coyote ran from one side of the deck to the other before cannonballing into the pool, practically clearing the entire deep end in the process.
"You going to jump in?"
The vulpine pulled my attention over to him for a second as I thought about it. "Nah, I'm going to wait for a second," I replied, turning around only to feel two arms wrap around my waist, picking me up just enough so that I couldn't touch the ground. I hollered as I knew what was about to happen, feeling the air brush past me as he ran towards the pool with me in his arms. I twisted mid-air, causing him to flop on his back and let me go, earning a laugh from the others as he yipped before going under. My shoulder stung a little bit from the pool water, but it wasn't bleeding, so I didn't pay it any mind as I started swimming away from the vulpine who I knew was preparing to kick off the bottom towards me.
"Oh, no, you don't!"
I felt a hand wrap around my ankle before getting pulled back, causing me to try and kick his hand off before he could get me, but he started tickling my foot, making me to lose it while he yanked me towards him. I felt him grab my shoulder as he pulled me up and wrapped his arms around my waist, nuzzling up against me. "Really," I groaned, placing my hands on his shoulders as he continued rubbing against mine. "Yes, really," He chuckled, soon jumping backwards and pulling me under the water with him until we finally reached the bottom where he released one arm and started rubbing my cheek before leaning forward and giving me a small kiss, only to let me go and float up with me.
"You're an ass," I giggled, slapping his shoulder before I swam away, careful to dodge his onslaught of dives towards me. After a few minutes, he managed to trick me and dived over at me before I could react, wrapping one of his arms around my shoulders and the other around my waist before kissing me again. "Then why do you love me," He asked after pulling back with a smirk planted on his face. "Because you're not a rude ass," I replied, leaning over and kissing him on the cheek before shoving him down and kicking off the wall of the pool, dragging him along with me as I floated around.
Sadly, our fun was cut short by a certain coyote who decided that it was a good idea to push down on the vulpine, forcing us both under. I quickly got up again and looked over at Ava who was uncontrollably laughing on the other side of the pool. "Damn it, Ava," I shouted at her, splashing her with water.
"Damn it, Mangle!"
She splashed back at me with an even larger wave, accidentally soaking Goldy in the process who was standing behind me, just outside the pool. "Damn it," The bear shouted even louder, jumping into the pool, just as Foxy crawled back up from underneath the water, sending large waves around the pool and drenching everyone, as well as accidentally sending the vulpine back under before the bear came back up with a hearty chuckle. "Well, then," I giggled as the vulpine grabbed onto the edge of the pool beside me and pulled himself up with a cough. "Damn, who the hell did that," He asked, hitting his chest as he coughed up even more water.
"Take a guess," I chuckled to him as he turned over to me with a smirk. "Alright," He replied, diving towards me from the side of the pool as I quickly ducked under the water and grabbed his waist, getting dragged along by him as he began swimming deeper. When I didn't let go, he began spinning as we got near the bottom, trying to shake me off, but I held on tight and spun with him. After a few seconds, I crawled up to his shoulders and wrapped my arms around his neck, rubbing against his chest with my cheek as he finally stopped spinning and ascended back to the surface.
When we resurfaced, the two of us looked back to see both Goldy and Ava in a splash war, but we instead floated around the deep end while holding onto each other; him resting his chin on the top of my head as I rubbed against his chest with my face.
"Okay, I think I'm going to call it a night. I have work tomorrow anyway."
I looked up at the vulpine, sighing as I agreed and we both got up out of the pool, soon heading inside. The two of us went to the bathroom, cleaned up, and got dressed in some more comfortable clothes before we finally retired to the bed. As I walked out of the bathroom, I watched as he crawled up the end of the bed, soon on his knees as he held his arms out and flopped down with a groan, causing me to giggle as I walked up and climbed onto his back, wrapping my arms around his waist and rubbing my cheek against him.
"Do you mind if I tag along with you tomorrow?"
"What do you mean," He asked me, slightly muffled by the blanket as I continued laying on him. "Well, would you mind if I go with you to work tomorrow for a little bit. I was planning on meeting up with some friends," I replied, watching him think for a few seconds before sighing. "I'd be more than happy to bring you to work with me tomorrow, I doubt you'll be staying long anyways if you're going to meet someone," He said, grabbing my right thigh and pulling me to my side of the bed before rolling onto his left side to face me with a smile.
I thought for a minute, soon growing curious as I watched him stare at me in the meantime. "Did you plan for us to do that tonight," I asked, scooting closer to him as he chuckled. He knew what I meant, I was sure of it. "Well, I was planning to ask you, but it seems that I didn't need to," He replied, bringing his right hand up to my left shoulder, and lightly rubbing across the fang mark that was now permanently left there. He reached for the back of my head, pulling me over carefully to kiss me on the forehead.
"I love you, Mags."
I rolled my eyes at him in a playful manner before I kissed him on the lips and snuggled up against his chest.
"Love you too, 'Cap'n'."
