Five years after Hiccup defeated Gronckle, Deadly Nadder, Hideous Zippleback and Monstrous Nightmare at Dragon Sanctuary, he started defending the dragons against villagers and trying to keep dragons from stealing food from the tribes.
It was night time and Hiccup and Toothless were resting on a sea stack off of Berk waiting for the dragon raid to begin.
He had wrote down a pattern of tribes getting raided in order.
Hiccup was drawing another picture of Astrid when the dragon raid horn blew.
He put on his mask and climbs onto Toothless and says "after this, maybe we can visit our sister and mom and dad?"
Toothless warblers "that would be good to see our family again."
Toothless flew around Berk blasting shoots at dragons to stay away from livestock.
Stoick yells "THE DRAGON PRINCE IS HERE."
After the raid was over, Hiccup sighs "have to see what they lo-"
Spitelout launched a boulder at the Night Fury hitting it out of the sky.
Toothless and Hiccup crash in a cove in the forest.
An hour later, Hiccup wakes up and groans "man that hurt."
Toothless wakes up and warblers "we have to wait awhile because it's day time."
Hiccup check over Toothless's wings.
While he was overlooking the wings, a group vikings consist of Spitelout, Stoick, Alistair, Ingrid, Horak, Starkard, Ack and Astrid track the Dragon Prince down.
Ingrid curious ask "daughter? Why would you join us on capturing the Dragon Prince?"
Astrid sighs "mom if I believe he likes me in his letter then I'm the only one who can calm him down and have him come with us back to the village."
They find a cove in the forest and see the Dragon Prince checking the Night Fury's wing and charge taking them both by surprise.
Alistair and Ingrid hold down the Dragon Prince while the others restraint Toothless.
Hiccup growled at vikings restraining him whine trying to get his arms free.
Alistair commands "daughter! Tie his hands together!"
Astrid walks over to the front of Hiccup and bends down to stare at him and whispers "please calm down and come back with us. I need to tie your hands."
Hiccup listens to the blonde girl in front of him and whispers "pretty blonde Sky Eyes."
Astrid blushes for a second and ties his hands.
Alistair surprise by the Dragon Prince completely submitted to his daughter.
They take them back to the village.
Astrid walk beside Hiccup and ask "do you really like me in your letter?"
Hiccup nods his head.
Astrid comments "just so you know we have a lot to talk about because I'm somewhat submitted to you in curiosity about you since you made my double bladed axe for my tenth birthday."
Dragon Prince turn to her in surprise.
They reach the village and announces "we capture the Dragon Prince and his Night Fury."
Valka gape in shock and demands "Stoick release him now!"
Stoick gape "you been communicating with this traitor?!"
Valka sighs "Stoick, he has a Night Fury. Our son was taken by a Night Fury."
Stoick scowls "take him to cell and put that Night Fury in a cage!"
He pulls the mask off to see a boy of age of fifteen and two inches taller than Astrid and looks like his wife a little.
Stoick scowls "who are you?!"
Hiccup stays quiet.
Villagers scorn him with hurtful comments.
Astrid takes the Dragon Prince to a cell.
The others take Toothless to the dragon arena.
Stoick grab Valka and takes her to the house for questioning.
A guard opens a cell door for the prisoner.
Astrid sternly says "I need a private chat with the prisoner!"
The guard leaves the building.
Hiccup curious ask "what did you what to talk abo-"
Astrid grabs his collar and kiss his lips for a second before saying "that was for the axe, the drawing and the letter."
Hiccup ask "do you accept me as your mate?"
Astrid blushes red before replying "I'll think about it after I convince the Chief to release and I get your story."
She leaves the building leaving Hiccup in a bewildered daze.
Hiccup gape "what the heck just happened?"
Astrid walks through the village looking for Chief.
"YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT OUR SON IS THE DRAGON PRINCE AND RIDES A NIGHT FURY?!"
Astrid gape in shock "the Dragon Prince is the Chief's lost son?!"
Next thing, she groans in misery.
"hey babe, I was wondering if you would go on a date with me so we can get married."
Astrid grumbles "no, Snotlout."
Snotlout grins "that Dragon Prince is going to stay in prison for betraying Berk."
Astrid runs off to the Chief's house to see Stoick walk out of his house and walk to the hall and says "Chief? Can you release the Dragon Prince into my custody as chaperone to watch over him?"
Stoick shakes his head "no. Right now he is wait until trial in three days."
Astrid nods her head in understanding and walks home.
Ingrid smiles "welcome back, daughter. Did you enjoy your alone time with the Prince?"
Astrid answers "it was okay."
Ingrid smirks "did you tell him thank you for your tenth birthday presents?"
Astrid blushes remembering the kiss between them and says "y-yes."
Ingrid sternly ask "you kissed him didn't you?"
Astrid sighs "yes."
Ingrid sternly comments "daughter, if you agree to let him court you, you have two to three months before you decide to accept him as your fiance. You just have to have your father approve him."
Astrid blushes "he ask me if I agree to be his mate after I kissed him."
Ingrid grins "at least he request you consent to anything he wants of your own free will."
Astrid curious ask "and if I don't consent to anything he wants to do?"
Ingrid smirks "why don't you ask him that question because I'm pretty sure he wouldn't do anything to you without your permission."
Ingrid comments "another thing, daughter. You and the others have dragon training tomorrow morning after breakfast."
Astrid grins "I think I'll go ask him right now" and runs out of the house and back to jail cell.
When she gets there, she walks in to see the Prince laying down on the hard floor and ask "what's your name?"
Hiccup sighs "Hiccup."
Astrid sighs "Stoick won't let you out until your trial which is in three days."
Hiccup nods his head in understanding.
Astrid curious ask "you been gone for fifteen years."
Hiccup sighs "my Night Fury mother kept me away from here to protect me from everyone."
Astrid curious ask "why would she do that for?"
Hiccup answers "she told me that if I returned, I wouldn't get treated like everyone else because I was born a hiccup."
"Hey babe, what are you doing talking to the traitor?"
Astrid growls at him in frustration "Snotlout, go bother someone else."
Snotlout grins "well I came here to ask you out on a date tonight and brought you flowers."
Astrid looks at the flowers to see two flowers and a bunch of weeds.
Hiccup looks at the two flowers and weeds and laughs "she isn't into flowers and weeds you idiot."
Snotlout turns to the Dragon Prince and scowls "and how would you know what she likes?!"
Hiccup grins "she's not interested in you."
Snotlout grins "have fun staying in jail cell for the rest of your life!"
He leaves them walking out of prison.
Astrid turns to Hiccup and says "come here to the bars."
Hiccup walks over to her and opens his mouth to ask what she wants when she grabbed his collar and kiss him on the lips and says "that was for sticking up for me."
Hiccup nods his head "your welcome, Astrid."
Astrid leaves the prison to go train.
(With Valka)
Valka walks inside the Hofferson's house upset about Stoick.
Ingrid notice her sad expression and ask "what's wrong, Valka?"
Valka sighs "Stoick doesn't believe that Dragon Prince is our lost son because he been rescuing dragons from tribes and defending them against us."
Ingrid comments "I don't think he harmed anyone when he was defending the dragons and he even tried to keep the dragons from stealing our food and livestock."
Valka sighs "Stoick said he wasn't their son because he join the dragon side."
Ingrid gasped in shock "he disown his son?!"
Valka nods her head in sadness.
In the morning, the teens ate breakfast and walked to the dragon arena to begin dragon training.
(In prison)
Hiccup pulled his hidden dagger out and pick the lock and walk out of the jail cell because the guards were eating breakfast.
He ran over to the dragon arena and watch a old man with two limbs explaining the dragons species.
The man goes over to a lever when the boy Snotlout ask "wait, aren't you going to teach us first?"
The two limb man answers "I believe in learning on the job."
Hiccup laughs at that.
The two limb man release a Gronckle from the cage door and ask "what is the first thing you need when facing a dragon?"
Snotlout answers "a doctor?"
Astrid answers "a shield!"
The teens grab a shield.
Two blondes fight over a shield before the Gronckle blast the shield.
The two limb man comments "Ruffnut and Tuffnut, your both out."
The two limb man comments "correct. Now every dragon has a shot limit. How many does a Gronckle have?"
Snotlout answers "five?"
The fat boy corrects him "no, six."
The two limb man answers "correct, Fishlegs. Now those shield are good for something else, noise. Make a lot of noise to throw off a dragon's aim."
Snotlout decides to flirt with Astrid for a second "so I just moved into my parents basement to workout, you should totally come by to workout because you look like you workout and maybe we can have a little kiss."
The Gronckle blast Snotlout's shield.
The two limb man comments "Snotlout! Your out!"
Fishlegs whines "I'm starting to question your teaching methods!"
The Gronckles shot his fire over his head.
Fishlegs panics running over to the gate to be safe.
Astrid ran around dodging the shots.
The Gronckle charge at the girl and blast behind her feet causing her to fly three feet away in a daze.
She turns around to see the Gronckle charge up it's last shot when Hiccup ran in and bump into the Gronckle and touch the spot under the chin to knock it out.
Gobber gasped "The Dragon Prince! Capture him!"
Snotlout grins and runs at Hiccup to restrain him along with the twins.
Astrid watch with a smirk.
Hiccup grab Snotlout's fist and flip him over his shoulder.
Then dodge a fist while roundhouse kick the other blonde in the face.
Fishlegs gape in shock.
Astrid grins "Dragon Prince! Come here!"
Hiccup turns to Astrid and walks over to her and ask "yes, Astrid?"
Astrid curious ask "how did you escape the jail cell?"
Hiccup nervous answers "I have my secrets."
Astrid grins "I'm glad you did because I would have been dead now. Thank you for saving me."
The two limb man widen his eyes in shock at Hiccup and Astrid talk like there friends.
"What the heck is he doing out of his cell!"
They turn the Chief in surprise.
Astrid instinctively put Hiccup behind her to protect him from the Chief.
Stoick scowls "Astrid! Step aside now!"
Astrid sternly command "he saved my life! I feel he deserves to at least see outside of his cell!"
The two limb man comments "it's true, Stoick."
Valka comments "if that is true, then he deserves a little freedom for today and he won't cause trouble for the village with Astrid shadowing him. Besides, he's completely submitted to young Astrid."
Hiccup looks at Valka and runs upto her and hugs her "it's great to see you again, mom.
I defeated the Gronckle, Deadly Nadder, Hideous Zippleback and Monstrous Nightmare at my nest.
Alura told me that I was ready to begin my training with fighting in duels with weapons and help lessen raids if I can with Toothless after bonded to him."
Valka and everyone gaped in shock.
Snotlout laughs "there's no way, you killed a Monstrous Nightmare!"
Hiccup sternly says "I don't kill dragons, I subdued them by wrestling them."
Astrid scolds him "you defeated a Gronckle, Deadly Nadder, Hideous Zippleback and Monstrous Nightmare?!" And grins "I'm impressed by you."
Hiccup wraps his arms around her waist and hugs her "I do like you."
