"Oh, I'm so hungry," Giant Gold said, as his stomach growled. "For breakfast, I only had a chocolate bar. I could eat a horse!"
"You've got to be kidding, Gold," Bookworm Green replied. "You're really chubby. If you'd eat healthier, you wouldn't be so fat. Your dad really spoils you."
"I'm in the mood for spinach rice and meatballs," Blue Boy said, rubbing his own belly.
"At least it was a protein-rich chocolate bar," Gold sulked. "You know I'm trying. Geez."
As the boys (and some girls) went to the Food Town of Bomberman Land, they could smell lots of tasty foods.
"Guys, guys," Cheerful White said, looking at each other. He pointed at an oden cart. "Let's try this classic stew. It's called oden, and you can simmer just about anything in it."
"Bet you can't simmer fried ice cream balls or creme caramel in there," Gold shrugged.
"Well-cooked daikon radish is mild and sweet," Cute Pink said.
"Let's try the oden together!" Aqua Blue Girl said. They all went to the oden cart.
"That smells so good," Cheerful White licked his lips. "I want to try the skewered meatballs and turnips."
As they talked to the salesman, he said this: "My soup has been simmering for several years. Eat it at your own risk."
"Eat it at your own risk?!" the boys all said, becoming anxious.
"Although it is old, nobody has died from eating this oden," the salesman replied. "It has lots of beef meatballs, daikon radishes, turnips, carrots, onions, and a rich broth."
"Can I try it first?" Cheerful White asked. The salesman nodded, handing the boy a metal skewer. He skewered up some meatballs, daikon radishes, and carrots.
"Carrots are gross," Giant Gold uttered, holding his nose with a clothespin. "They're way too sweet, and they taste like sweaty feet."
"Why do YOU think I wear glasses?" Bookworm Green asked, looking at Giant Gold. "I eat plenty of carrots and sweet potatoes. If I were a bunny rabbit, I wouldn't need these spectacles."
As they all devoured oden skewers, Cheerful White was the first to finish eating. They enjoyed the skewers a lot, and they stopped arguing.
