Chapter 5

Bucky unlocks Tessaiga's power.

Eight months have passed and Bucky is doing very well. He stayed with Steve and Natasha for five months. Then Steve introduced Bucky to Wanda. Wanda live in a house two miles away from Steve and Natasha. The two hit it off and three months ago. Bucky moved in with Wanda. Right now Bucky is in Washington DC. He is at the new S.H.I.E.L.D. head quarters. The new head of S.H.I.E.L.D. is a woman named Violet. Bucky is at the S.H.I.E.L.D. head quarters. Because he want to join the Avengers. In the fight against HYDRA. He walked into Violet's office and up to her desk. Violet looked up from the papers that she was looking at. She is surprised to see Bucky.

"What can I do for you Sargent Barnes?" asked Violet

"I would like to join the Avengers. And help them get rid of HYDRA." replied Bucky

"Are you sure Sargent Barnes? You can always live the quiet life."asked Violet

"Yes I'm sure I want to join the Avengers." replied Bucky

Violet saw that Bucky is serious. So she nodded and said "Ok you may join the Avengers. You can go to the compound. And join up with them tomorrow." Bucky nodded and left Violet's office. Once outside he used the com that Wanda gave him. And asked for a portal home. Once at Wanda's house he went in. He went to his room. Bucky grabbed some leather and tied one end. To the top of Tessaiga's sheath and the other end toward the end of the sheath. He strapped the sword to his back. To make sure that it wouldn't move around to much. Ever since he got Tessaiga he. Has been taking good care of Tessaiga. Keeping in touch with Logan also helps.

Thanks to Bucky's care and Logan's tips. Tessaiga is looking much better. It still looks to be in rough shape. But they sword is hundreds of years old. Not long after taking care of Tessaiga. Wanda came home from work. The young woman is a part of the Avengers as well. Bucky and Wanda have grown very close. The male left his room and greeted Wanda. Wanda is happy to see Bucky.

"How was your meeting with Violet?" asked Wanda

"It went very well. She said that I can start tomorrow." replied Bucky

"That's wonderful to hear. Come let's go make dinner." beamed Wanda

"I got that covered I went to the store. And got some fried chicken and some pasta salad." stated Bucky

Wanda got some paper plates and plastic forks. They each got what they wanted to eat and ate. The next day after breakfast Bucky. Went to his room brushed his teeth, got dressed, then grabbed Tessaiga. Then he left his room and waited for Wanda. A few mintues later and Wanda is ready to go. They got into Wanda's car and headed to the compound. When they arrived at the compound. Wanda and Bucky got out of her car. Bucky strapped Tessaiga to his back. They walked into the compound and saw Steve. Steve smiled when he saw Bucky and Wanda.

"Hey Bucky bringing Wanda to work are ya?" asked Steve

"Well yes and no Steve. Meet your new team mate." replied Bucky

"That's wonderful Bucky. Come meet the others." beamed Steve

Steve lead Bucky to the main area. When Steve came into the room. The rest of the group noticed that Bucky is with him.

"Everyone I would like you to meet out new team mate Bucky." announced Steve

"Hi Bucky." everyone responded

"Bucky meet Tony, Clint, Sam, Rhodey, Scott, and Vision." informed Steve

"Hey everyone." waved Bucky

Bucky walked over to the group and Natasha came. Up to Bucky and gave him a hug. Bucky hugged her back then they pulled away.

"Are you sure that you want to join us?" asked Natasha

"Yes I'm sure Nat." replied Bucky

"There is no way that I'm working with Barnes. We don't know if he's secretly working with HYDRA." bellowed Clint

"I have been away from them for years. And thanks to the Wakandans. HYDRA has no way to control me. Plus if I was still with HYDRA. I would have tracked you all down and killed you by now." informed Bucky

"Besides Clint Violet knows how well Bucky has been doing. If she didn't want him joining us. She would have told him no." stated Steve

Clint shut up and left the room. Bucky looked around and asked "Aren't you missing some team mates?"

"Thor goes between here and Asgard. And Carol is mainly out in space. But we can call her if we need her." replied Steve

Bucky nodded and decided to explore the compound. Three months have passed and Bucky is doing well with the Avengers. He's been on recon and undercover missions. And has been on two Avengers calls as well. Right now Bucky and Steve are in a armored car. There are cars ahead of the armored car. And there are cars behind the armored car. Bucky and Steve are helping transfer. A dangerous and violent gang leader. To a different more secure prison. Steve has his shield and brought a pistol. Bucky had his favorite rifle and Tessaiga. Just then all of the cars stopped. Steve and Bucky got out of the armored car. They looked ahead and saw cars and people a head of them. The two men walked up to the head of the line of cars.

"What's going on here?" asked Steve

"I think that somehow the gang. Has found out that we are transferring their leader." replied the driver

Steve and Bucky got ready to fight. Because they know that the gang only knows violence. Bucky loaded his rifle and started firing. And Steve threw his shield. They managed to take out some of the gang. But the rest of retreated into their vehicles. They started their engines and gunned their cars toward Steve and Bucky. Bucky kept firing but it wasn't doing much good. Suddenly Bucky Tessaiga rattling in it's sheath. The male put down his gun. He reached back and unsheathed Tessaiga. Then a voice said "I think I know how to stop them." Just then the sword glowed. Bucky and Steve watched as the sword grew in size and shape. When the glow disappeared the sword looks like a fang. Around the guard is fur and both men are shocked.

Then Bucky heard the voiced again "Let's stop them with the Adamant Barrage." The sword pulsated and the blade changed. Now the blade looks like. It has a diamond coating. The sword is heavy but. Bucky seems to handle the weight just fine.

"Now swing and use the Adamant Barrage." ordered the voice

Bucky made sure Steve wasn't in the way. Then he swung the sword and yelled "Adamant Barrage!" Many pieces of adamant flew from the blade. Some of the adamant landed in front of the. On coming cars and some hit and pierced the cars. Any car that didn't get hit turned. And quickly turned and drove away. Only two cars drove away. Officers quickly got out and ran over to the cars. They arrested all of gang members that were in the cars. Steve and Bucky looked at Tessaiga. The sword has already transformed back it's normal form. Steve looked at Bucky and said "Wow Buck that was amazing. I've never seen anything like that before."

"Me either Steve plus the sword told me to do it." admitted Bucky

Now that the armored car is full. Steve and Bucky rode in a different car. They got the gang leader and gang members. To the prison then they asked Wanda. For a portal back to the compound.
