"What happened?" cried Rubble as he ran to treat the severely burn Ryder. "Chase seemed to blow up," said was puzzled. He knew about his powers. Everyone knew, but Chase was not a bomb ready to go off. "Something was talking to Chase," said Marshall. "But he wasn't happy about it."

Just then, a ruffling sound was heard from the doorway in the lookout. Marshall grew tense. He was half expecting a demon to walk out the door. He seriously wanted to run to his room and grab his enchanted axe for safety.

When the doors open, he braces for impact, but when he opens his eyes, he saw it was just Chase, shaking and holding his iron sword in an odd position. Then he saw it. He was pointing it towards his chest. "What are you doing!?" cried Rocky as he slowly approached him. "STAY AWAY!" cried Chase. He suddenly drops his sword. Marshall noticed his skin. It was getting darker by the minute.

Still, Rocky counited his approach. "Are you ok?" ask Rocky. He seemed to get worser by the minute. Chase did not say anything. Finally, he responded. "I feel just great," replied Chase in a harsh tone. Rocky was then suddenly lifted in the air and thrown into a tree. "My back!" cried Rocky in pain. Chase got up. His fur had become completely dark, and his face was the black one with white eyes.

"Oh no," said Marshall. "I think this is the guy he was talking to." Chase looked around, staring at his surroundings, like he did not belong here. "Things work better than planned," said this new Chase. "Who are you and what have you done with our friend!?" yelled Marshall. He got the idea. It was a demon.

"He's gone," said the demon. "I killed him from within, and its Null." "Give us back Chase!" cried Zuma as he charged at the demon. The trio was forced to tell them about all this; and they often regretted it. "Don't Zuma!" cried Rocky, but it was too late. When Zuma attempted to jump on him, Null swung Chase's iron sword, slashing at his chest and sending him flying into a log.

Marshall ran over to Zuma's side, who was bleeding badly. "This should stop the bleeding," said Marshall as he wrapped a bandage around Zuma's chest. Meanwhile, Rocky was wrestling with Null, repeating punching him in the face. Eventually, Null throws Rocky offs him.

Rocky, though his back still hurting, pulled out a shotgun. These weapons are special, made with metal that harms demons. Always, it works like a charm. It took pieces of flesh off his body. After 4 minutes of rapid fire, Null collapse, bleeding heavy. "You may have won this battle, but say goodbye to all you know," said Null with a nasty grin. And just like that, he vanishes into the thin air.
