Author's Note : Thank you for the support and love my readers. Yes there is more to the story of Lucas's resistance. Stay tuned.
But you can leave, if you really want to
And you can run, if you feel you have to
Now I'll be fine, if you ever ask me
I know it's hard, but no one said it's easy
Falling's easy
Months Later
I managed to save enough money from selling clothes from my home. To open a clothing store again. This is a long awaited goal that has finally come true. My clothing line would simply be called BDavis.
Looking around at all the clothes i designed on the racks of my store. Feels so incredible. I worked so hard for this. At last my effort was paying off. The colors of my store were pink. Black. And white.
I designed clothes for women of all ages. Girls. And teenagers.
I've been thinking about adding a Men's line. But i'm not sure.
"I truly have to thank each and every one of you. Who came out tonight to celebrate my opening. It means everything to me. Having friends like you. Tree Hill is my home now." Brooke proclaimed. Looking out at her guests.
Wearing one of the dresses she designed.
It cut off at the knee had an open back and sparkled. She had on red lipstick and black eye liner. Which made her hazel eyes pop.
"Brooke!" Small voices exclaimed.
Brooke smiled warmly. As she engulfed Lilly and Nixon into a hug.
She had seen them around town multiple times but kept her distance. They had both grown and changed since she spent real time with them.
Which she should of expected. They were 12 now.
"We've missed you." Nixon announced.
"We found out about you're opening and took one of the flyers nd stuck it on the fridge. We didn't want to miss it." Lilly explained.
"I'm so happy to see the both of you. Thank you for coming." She replied.
They waved goodbye to her before joining. Jamie/Lydia. Along with Peyton and Jake's children.
She spotted Lucas right away. He was lingering in the back of the crowd. Near the exit door.
"Were you really coming here tonight and planning not to talk to me.?" Brooke asked.
"I'm only here because Lilly and Nixon wanted to attend." He replied.
"I'm glad you came." Brooke said.
"We haven't seen each other for awhile. I figured why not come and show support for you. You've been working towards this goal since we met. I'm really proud of you."
"I knew you were capable of great things. You're talent and drive. So for it all to come together for you is an unforgettable moment." "Is well deserved." Lucas proclaimed.
" we haven't been in each other's lives. In almost a year. What i can't wrap my head around is why exactly you've been doing everything you can to avoid me."
"When there is no real reason for this change and shift in how we interact. You've made it you're mission to act like i don't exist."
"Yet here i am again. Putting my heart out there."
"I tried to let you go. And it's impossible."
"We connected. We shared something. The possibility of us becoming something bigger then ourselves."
"Unless all this time. It was one sided." Brooke replied.
Lucas swallowed hard.
"Brooke. I shouldn't of kissed you." He confessed.
"Will you stop apologizing. I wanted it from the minute our lips touched."
"You may be able to act as if you're feelings for me don't exist. But i can't. I won't." Brooke revealed.
...
Awhile Later
With Lilly and Nixon asleep in their bedrooms from their eventful night. Lucas was able to have some time to himself.
Losing his mom and Keith.
Sasha. Nixon's mother who died during childbirth.
And of course the secret he buried deep inside himself because he knew. His actions made it clear he wasn't deserving of anything good or decent.
He had killed a man. Dan Scott was died and the memory haunted Lucas like a nightmare.
Especially love. From Brooke Davis.
