Chapter 18

Awhile Later

Lucas spent his lunch break which lasted an hour. Looking into various ideas that he could use for the impending first date with Brooke.

He had known her long enough to know what she would be comfortable doing activity wise and what she would politely decline.

The cafe sign was turned to close yet the door remained unlocked.

When Lucas heard the front door open and shut. He sighed deeply. Moving his gaze from the laptop to the person standing at the entrance to the cafe.

He felt the color drain from his face. He felt his stomach sink.

"Hello son." Dan Scott said.

"I want to hear all the gossip and the fun that is going on in you're world."Brooke announced. Looking from Lilly to Nixon.

"I got invited to my first boy/girl party. I'm so excited." Lilly proclaimed.

Brooke smiled up at her. "I remember those days. Everything is so new and exciting. You don't have to do anything you aren't ready for. The boys are just as nervous and curious as you are."

"If you aren't comfortable with something. You can and should voice that. And feel free to leave anytime." Brooke explained.

"I'll remember that. Can you help me with my hair and figuring out what to wear.?" Lilly asked.

"Of course. We can have a girl's day." Brooke replied.

"This girl i like. Invited me to go to the movies with her."

"Just me and her what does that mean.?" Nixon asked.

Brooke smiled up at him. "That sounds like a date." She replied.
