Chapter 21
"Feel free to un buden yourself anytime."
"You didn't just drop by for no reason. Even though missing me is a valid one. What's going on with you.? You are way too quiet." Brooke questioned. Looking to her boyfriend.
Lucas sighed deeply. Looking up at her.
"It's nothing you need to concern yourself with." He replied.
Brooke reached out taking his hand in hers.
"Whatever you are struggling with. I want to help. To support you if i can."
"We're a couple now. You don't have to carry the weight of the world on you're shoulders alone anymore." Brooke insisted.
Lucas felt comforted and filled with a sense of relief by her words.
"My biological father Dan admitted to me just a few hours ago that i was off the hook for killing him. He has been alive and well in hiding. He also confirmed that he's Lilly's biological father not Keith like i was lead to believe all these years."
"He is demanding access to Lilly. If i deny him that. He's basically making it very clear that i won't like the outcome of that decision."
"As if that wasn't enough. Nixon's biological father ran into me at the cemetery when i was visiting mom and Keith."
"He claims he's cleaned up his life and wants to be a dad to Nixon."
"I don't know how to handle any of this."
"How am i supposed to blow up the life they've known and make it so that doesn't impact them in a negative way.?" Lucas questioned.
"You are more then capable and strong enough to do this."
"They have to hear this from you. The dad they love and look up too. You be open and honest. Take it one thing at a time." Brooke replied.
"What's going on dad.?" Nixon asked. As he entered the living room.
"I don't think you can join the sleepover. They isn't enough room." Lilly said.
Brooke left the living room wanting to give the family unit privacy.
"I need to talk with the two of you. There is information the both of you need to know."
"First and foremost. I love you. And nothing i tell you will change that."
Lucas first turned to Nixon. "I have raised you since you were a newborn. I loved you before you born and that much more afterwards."
"You're my boy. I need you to hold on to that." Lucas said.
"Just tell me dad. I can take it." Nixon said.
"I'm not you're biological father. The man who shares you're dna is named Richard Singer." He explained.
Nixon's eyes went wide. The expression on his face falling.
"What does this mean.?" Nixon asked.
"Nothing. Except you may end up having contact with him once i'm able to look into things. If you want contact that is." Lucas reassured him.
Lucas then turned to Lilly. "You and I have always been connected in some way that hasn't changed. But you're biological dad has never been me. He is a man named Dan Scott. Who you are never going to know because he is a dangerous man. It's my responsibility to protect you from him." He explained.
"I don't want or need you to protect me from anything!"
"You're a liar!" Lilly exclaimed. Pushing past him as she left the room.
