Fishbowl Diaries
Chapter 24
Nixon tucked the written out paper with the home address and Richard's phone number into his jeans pocket.
He went into the hallway and heard various voices coming from his dad's bedroom. Which only meant his friends were still there. It was the perfect distraction.
Nixon was going to sneak in and out without being noticed.
He made his way towards the staircase and walked down as quietly as possible.
Once he reached the entryway he paused. Sighing deeply as he turned around. Feeling a hand on his shoulder.
"Where do you think you're Nix.? You're dad wants you to stay home." A voice questioned.
"Aunt Peyton i have to go meet someone and i don't want my dad to know about it. He's going through enough with Lilly staying at Brooke's." Nixon replied.
"Tell me where you're going. I'll take you there myself. I have to leave anyway. Check in at my record studio." Peyton suggested.
"I can't tell you that. It has to stay a secret." Nixon said.
"I'm aunt Peyton. You can tell me anything." Peyton insisted.
"I looked up who Richard Singer is. I want to meet him. I am going to go over to his house and talk to him." Nixon explained.
Peyton's eyes went wide. "I don't like this. He's a stranger. He's doing enough damage right now. I think being anywhere near him would be a mistake but i will drive you over there and you decide whether or not to get out of the car and knock on his door." She proclaimed.
"Deal." Nixon replied.
...
The Davis Home
"I made you're dress for that party you wanted to go to in a few days. Is that still happening.?" Brooke asked.
The two were seated beside each other in living room. Having painted their finger and toe nails and were now doing trying to find something to watch on tv.
"No. I don't care about that. I'm sorry you went through the trouble of making a dress for me."
"I just don't understand how my dad could just lie to me. I never questioned not having a mom. But he made it seem like all we ever needed was each other."
"I don't know how i can ever trust him again. And this Dan Scott."
"Is my father. I should know him. At least give him a chance right.?" Lilly questioned.
"No you shouldn't. Dan Scott is not a person you ever need in you're life. He is the reason you don't have a mom. Why Lucas made the decision to put his life on hold to raise you and Nixon."
"It takes more then a biological link to be a parent. You never needed Dan. Lucas is you're dad. He's been there since day 1 and isn't going anywhere no matter how hurt and angry you are." Brooke replied.
