Days Later
Richard's Home
Nixon was following along behind Richard as he was given a tour of the family mansion. Richard's parents used to live here as well but once they retired the couple moved out of Tree Hill leaving the home for their only son.
"Which bedroom is mine.?" Nixon asked.
Richard smiled up at him. "That is for you to decide. There is a maid. A cook. A driver. The pool in the backyard. We have a gym in the basement. There is a basketball court down there."
"The kitchen is full to the brim. There is a cabinet full of snacks. Why don't you go pick out you're room then head downstairs to get a snack. Relax. Get settled. Having you live here. Will be such an adventure." Richard proclaimed.
"I will. Thank you for letting this happen dad." Nixon said.
Lucas engulfed the boy in a hug. "You're go on ahead. I'll join you downstairs in a few minutes." He instructed.
Once the men were alone in the hallway. Lucas locked his gaze on Richard.
"Visitation is how this is gonna go. You don't have experience with children. You and Nixon are basically strangers. I think that is what's best for Nixon. Considering i'm the one who's been Nixon's constant parental figure. I'm the one who is gonna be setting the boundaries here." Lucas explained.
Richard laughed. Looking back at Lucas.
"I think you've run the show for long enough. Nixon is my son. You've been nothing but a babysitter. I think you need to encourage Nixon to spend time with me. And stop calling you dad. Because you aren't his father. You have been. Never will be." Richard shot back.
"You think you have a chance in court. Gaining any real custody.? It's a waste of time and will only hurt Nixon. If you cared about him at all. You would see that. It's not about you or me."
"It has to be about putting Nixon first." Lucas stated.
"I think you realize by now. I get what i want. Without a problem."
"Family court is all about biological parents being placed with their children. There is no real reason i would be denied custody. I have more then enough to give Nixon the life you can't."
"You don't want to go up against me. You will lose. I will make sure you have no access to Nixon."
"You know there is more then enough room for Lilly to have a place in our family. Think about it Lucas.?" Richard taunted.
Lucas didn't realize he had punched Richard. Until the two men were on the ground. Throwing punches at each other.
"Stop it! What is going on!" Nixon exclaimed. Rushing into the hallway.
"Assault on top of being a liar. You just make things alot easier for me." Richard said.
"I thought you were going to give him a chance.?" Nixon asked. Looking to Lucas.
"Nix you don't understand." Lucas began to say.
"Isn't it bad enough that you lied and kept Richard away from me for all these years.! He's not the enemy here!" Nixon exclaimed.
"Let's go home. I can explain things better there." Lucas insisted.
It was only then that Lucas realized. Richard was twisting and turning history to make himself the victim.

Days Later
Lucas had decided he needed the truth. About Lilly'Bio father. He needed to know without a doubt who it was. So after getting a sample of DNA from Lilly. Without her knowing. Lucas had the sample tested. And to his relief. Keith was and had always been Lilly's bio father.
