Days Later

Lucas should of realized it from the start. Richard's entire goal was getting back at him. Sasha had chosen Lucas over Richard. He couldn't handle that all Sasha viewed their time together as was a mistake. Her heart had belonged to Lucas and if she hadn't died everything would of been different.

But there was no way to predict the outcome of Nixon's birth and his mother's death all happening in the same day.

Lucas had lost his first love and gained a son. He had lost his mother and Keith to gain Lilly.

Undergoing such huge loses in such a short period of time. Had changed Lucas. Hardened him. Made him angry and bitter over life and the lack of control in it.

The only reason he survived all the death. Was because of Nixon and Lilly. Becoming their father. Gave him purpose and meaning.

Grounded him. Kept him afloat.

It was years later at this point and they had become his entire world.

All he wanted for them was happiness and peace. Stability.

Richard coming into their life had shaken and shifted the foundation. It took Lucas years to build.

Yet the truth was still the same. Richard was Nixon's biological father. Lucas took a sample of his hair and Nixon's. Had it tested.

The results didn't match. He had half of Richard's DNA.

Lucas couldn't deny that anymore.

When it came down to it. Lucas had to choose. Give Richard what he wanted or have his past destroy his future and present.

At the sight of him. Richard smiled.

"You should come inside. Get comfortable." Richard insisted.

"No this will be quick. I don't want a custody fight. All i have wanted from the start is what is best and right for my kids."

Lucas took a deep breath.

"I want 500.000 dollars."

"If i get that. I'll do what you request and pull back." Lucas replied.

"Now Lucas. Was that so difficult.? I get what i want and so do you." Richard said.

He went into his wallet and pulled out exactly that. Handing the money to Lucas.

Lucas made his way back into his car. Put the money away. And drove off.

He had lied through this teeth and Richard bought it all.

Lucas wasn't going anywhere.
