All this time we've been waiting for each other.
Take all the time lost.
I don't know what day it is.
I'm lucky to love something that loves me.
Nixon and Lilly looked to each other. Their father then Brooke.
"This is the best news. The greatest news.!" Nixon exclaimed.
"We've wanted and wished for this for so long! We're really going to be a family!" Lilly exclaimed. Her voice thick with emotion.
As they engulfed her in a hug.
She hugged them both back.
" When breakfast is get ready for school. I'll give you a ride." Lucas said.
"No need dad. We're walking to school with our friends." Nixon informed him.
"You can stay home a few days if you need too." Lucas said.
"I just want to move on." Nixon stated.
"I was going to hold off on announcing this. But i figure why not."
"Once we're married. I want to legally adopt the both of you." Brooke announced.
"We're finally gonna have a mom. This day can't possibly get better." Lilly replied. As her and Nixon made their way to the dining room table. Taking seats beside each other.
The family unit ate together in a comfortable silence.

The kids left for school. Lucas left for the cafe. And Brooke made her way towards her home.
Still in awe of the past few hours. How her life had changed so much. The engagement ring on her finger. Made her heart race.
Lucas had slipped it on her hand before they had left.
Brooke had planned to go to the store. And start her day at work. But all of that went out the window with the presence of two familiar faces on her porch.
"Daddy. Victoria." Brooke said softly.
