Fishbowl Diaries

Chapter 47

Author's Note : Thank you my readers. Stay tuned.

I'll wake you up with some breakfast in bed

I'll bring you coffee with a kiss on your head

And I'll take the kids to school

Wave them goodbye

And I'll thank my lucky stars for that night.

Lucas and Brooke adjusted back easily into life at home once they returned from their honeymoon.

"Luke and I just wanted to thank the both of you for having Nix and Lil at you're house while we were away." Brooke stated.

"We figured breakfast and an offer to watch you're kids while the two of you took some time to yourselves was a good enough thank you. We really did appreciate being able to have that time to just focus on us." Lucas added in.

"We won't be taking any long weekends anytime soon."

"But when we do. We'll keep that offer in mind. Thanks." Jake replied.

"Plus we love Nixon and Lilly. There were no trouble at all."

"Our kids really enjoyed their company." Peyton added in. Shooting her husband a smile.

Jake gave her a look.

"What are we missing here.?" Lucas asked.

"Let us in on the joke." Brooke insisted.

"I'll put it like this. Maybe the four of will end up as in laws in the far future." Peyton said.

"Nixon and Anna Elizabeth were caught kissing."

"So we weren't sure what to make of it. When we tried to talk to them about it. Neither of them wanted to talk about it." Jake explained.

Tree Hill Middle School

Lilly Scott knew how to keep a secret. It was one of her best qualities. She had knpwn for months now that Anna and Nixon were dating. But she had said nothing because it wasn't her news to tell.

Plus she had her own stuff going on that took top priority.

She stared at herself in the mirror. Her once thin body was gaining curves and she was developing faster then her friends. It made wearing clothes an experience she was having a more difficult time with. Because all she wanted to do was cover herself.

She heard her name called and quickly changed into her cheer uniform for practice before leaving the locker room.

Brooke let out a frustrated sigh. Before tossing away the two pregnancy test she had taken. She washed her hands and then went back into the bedroom.

"I'm still not pregnant! We've been all over each other morning. Night. Evening. In the shower. At my store during my break."

"I've been off birth control for awhile. We haven't used condoms in ages and still nothing."

"And yet people who don't want kids. Or can't take care of them get pregnant just like that. It's maddening. Frustrating! I don't mean to complain." Brooke exclaimed. The emotion in her voice thick.

Lucas wrapped his arms around her in a hug.

"Stop apologizing. You never need to censor yourself or feel guilty for being honest with me."

"I get it. I understand how much and how badly you want this. But i think you're putting too much pressure on yourself."

"It's only been a few weeks. If it get's to a year and we aren't pregnant. We'll both get checked out and see if there is anything wrong."

"It'll happen for us. When it is supposed too. In the mean time."

"We'll focus on everything we do have." Lucas proclaimed.
