Chapter 49

Author's Note : Thank my readers.

Stay tuned. There will be a time jump.

But there's a hope that's waiting for you in the dark

You should know you're beautiful just the way you are

And you don't have to change a thing

The world could change its heart.

"Lil. Look at me." "You are beautiful sweetheart."

"The changes you're body is going through right now is perfectly normal. You have nothing to be ashamed of or hide."

"Girls and boys you're age are dealing with the same thing."

"I will help you clothing wise. Make a few things. But we are going to go shopping. Embrace the curves and this new phase of you're life. When you get a little older you will appreciate it all. Trust me." Brooke reassured her daughter.

"I don't think that's ever going to happen momma." Lilly replied.

"Wait here." Brooke said. As she left the bedroom.

When she returned she placed a picture in front of Lilly's face.

Lilly's laughter soon filled the air.

"Who's this.?" Lilly asked.

"Me. When i was just about you're age. We all go through phases where we don't like certain parts of ourselves but the important thing to remember is that loving yourself is the first step."

"Gaining self confidence and self esteem takes time and work. It's a process that i will help you with."

"Put on you're most comfortable outfit and let's go to the mall." Brooke announced.

The River Court

Nixon threw the basketball into the hoop. With a joyful grin on his face.

"So we came out here to play. That's never not fun." Nixon said.

Lucas dribbled the ball before sending it through the hoop.

"Play and talk." Lucas added.

"About what.?" Nixon asked.

"About you and Anna. What dating her means."

"I expect you to be a gentleman. Be kind. Loving. Respectful." Lucas explained.

...

3 Years Later

Lucas watched from window as Lilly and Nixon both drove off in their cars. The aroma of candles and flown out birthday candles lingered in the air.

"16. Time is going by far too quick. I don't like it at all." Lucas admitted.

"It's the natural order of things Luke. They are growing up into incredible people because of us."

"That in itself is alot to be proud of."

"I'll put away the leftovers. You take care of the decorations."

"Baby is kicking away." Brooke said. Smiling happily at her growing belly.
