~ Eevee

School ended for the day and honestly it has not been going great since all this drama started.

I sat down at the school's fountain desperate for a distraction. I pulled out my geometry homework and poured all my attention on it.

After a couple of problems I was starting to forget how I felt. I was about to start with the next one when a shadow blocked my view.

I looked up in surprise to see Froakie.

"Oh hey Froakie."

"Hi Eevee, mind if I sit here?"

"Sure go ahead."

I patted the seat beside me with my tail. Froakie took a seat next to me on the fountain.

I continued with my homework and he pulled out his sketchbook and started sketching. Curious as to what he was drawing I turned and saw him sketching out a head outline.

"Wow you're a really good artist Froakie."

"Thank you."

"Who are you drawing? Oh..."

I stopped talking when I realized he was drawing Fennekin.

"Hey Eevee?"

"Yeah?"

Froakie paused and took off his glasses. I turned to him to see he was crying and his tears were soaking his drawing. He started wiping his eyes in embarassment.

"Am I crazy to still have feelings for her Eevee?"

"No of course you're not."

"She'll never like a nerdy, shy guy like me. Her type is the outgoing, athletic type like Ryu. You know we haven't spoken since she got together with him? She pretty much ditched her bestfriend for a boyfriend."

"Yeah...Believe me I know."

I patted his back offering moral support as he quietly shuddered as he cried.

~5 minutes later

"Enough about me what about you Eevee? You and Sylveon I mean?"

"Umm well we're dating now..."

"I had a feeling you guys liked each other. I'm happy for you."

"Thanks."

Froakie smiled a bit as he put his glasses back on.

"This is bad timing. But my uh birthday was a few days ago."

"What?! When?! Why didn't you say anything earlier Froakie?"

"I was too embarassed to talk about it. And then everyone else was fighting so it didn't seem like the right time..."

"Oh you mean on April 1st?"

He nodded yes while looking slightly embarassed.

"Tell you what, how about we spend the afternoon to go celebrate it properly?"

"I- Really?"

"Yes really. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't?"

"Well I don't want to impose."

"You're not. Trust me. We'll go wherever you want. On me."

"O-okay."

"Great! Come on let's go."

I said with a giggle and pulled Froakie up and dragged him with me.

I pulled out my phone to text Sylveon if he could come to celebrate Froakie's birthday with me. Thankfully he said yes and asked where I wanted to meet.

"Where does the birthday boy want to go?"

"Is Magikonalds alright?"

"Sure. It sounds perfect."

I quickly texted Sylveon where I wanted to meet.

His response was, "Magikonalds?! Why didn't you say so?! OMWRN!"

I laughed as I read the text and turned back to Froakie to let him know Sylveon was coming along. We caught a bus and headed to the nearest Magikonalds.

*About 30 minutes later

*At Magikonalds

Me and Froakie sat waiting at a table for Sylveon to arrive.

I was about to text him when I saw him rush inside the restaurant. He spotted our table and walked on over.

"Hey guys! I'm sorry I'm late. I had a lot of homework to get done and the deadline's in three days and I'm still not even halfway done with it."

"No we understand. We're just glad you're here now babe."

Sylveon gave me his usual smile as he leaned down and kissed my cheek wary of Froakie watching us. When he pulled away, I noticed the dark circles under his eyes.

"Are you okay Sylveon? You're looking pretty tired."

"Yeah I'm alright. I just haven't been getting much sleep lately. The first week has just been exhausting."

He said with a reliever sigh as he sat down beside me.

"Well you should get some rest soon. I wouldn't want you wearing yourself out."

"Alright I'll take a nap when I get back to my dorm."

"Okay then. Anyways now that you're here, Froakie as I promised I'm ordering everything on me."

"Wait everything Eve? You don't want me to help you pay for some of the food at least?"

"Well if you want to Sylveon."

"I d-do."

He said as he held his forehead briefly like he was having a headache. I thought I imagined it and went to order our food with him.

We all had a nice time chit-chatting and laughing the evening away. Although I had fun, I kept noticing how Sylveon would nod off more often every five minutes or so.

But I didn't want to bug him about it until after we ate. We left Magikonalds together filling the air with laughter.

When we got to the bustop Froakie said he lived closeby and he'll walk the rest of the way home.

"Alright bye then Froakie. Happy birthday!"

"Thanks! Bye Eevee and Sylveon!"

"Bye..."

Froakie walked away with a smile and a happier stance.

"It looks like we managed to cheer him up at least."

"Yeah yeah we did..."

Sylveon let out a yawn as we got on the bus together and headed to Sylveon's college dorm.

About 30 minutes passed before we reached it and Sylveon walked down the hall his shoulders beginning to sag and his head leaning down.

"Sylveon? Are you okay?"

"Huh? Yeah, I'm a-alright."

"You don't look alright."

"I'm f-fine."

"Sylveon?"

He reached his dorm room and struggled to get the door open. I watched worriedly as he failed to use the right key and he started to get more and more frustrated when he couldn't get it open.

"Why can't I get this right? F*ck!"

"Sylveon why don't you let me try-"

"No! I can do it m-myself! I..."

He stopped talking as he froze and his head started dropping even lower than before.

"Sylveon?"

Without warning he collapsed on the floor.

"Sylveon!!"

I bent down beside him and turned him around. He was panting heavily and I checked his forehead for his temperature.

His face felt sweaty and hot. I scrambled to get the keys and get the door open. Once I opened it, I struggled to get him up and into the room.

It was very hard since he was pretty heavy but I managed to lay him down and gently tucked him into bed.

He panted heavily and his cheeks flushed a deep red.

I went to kitchen and poured a bowl of ice cold water. I applied a wet cloth on his head.

His temperature wasn't going down that much. I looked around the room for medicine but realized he didn't have any.

I hurried to a nearby pharmacy and bought him some medicine. When I was on my way back with my purchases, my phone pinged with a text from my mom.

I pulled it out and it read, "Where are you? It's already past 10. Your father and I are worried sick."

Not knowing what else to say, and with Sylveon on my mind, I lied and told her I was gonna spend the night with Evelyn and I was studying for a big test tommorrow. Well twice since my test wasn't until Monday next week and tommorrow was a Friday.

To my surprise she believed me. She told me she wanted me back home by Sunday and I could spend the weekend with Evelyn if I wanted to.

I shook my head in surprise as I realized how easy it was to lie.

I hurried back to Sylveon's dorm feeling worried. Luckily I didn't bump into anyone on my way back.

I set the bag down on the counter and read to be taken with a glass of water and feed them something warm afterwards.

I slipped on his apron and made some chicken noodle soup. When I finished I brought it out along with a glass and some medicine for him on a tray.

I tried giving him the pill and he struggled to keep it in his mouth. He looked too weak to chew.

Growing more worried and not knowing what else to do I decided to feed it to him mouth to mouth.

I blushed as I chewed on the pill for him drank some water and leaned down and fed it to him.

Luckily he swallowed it and his breathing steadied a bit. I blushed hard as I pulled away and turned to the soup to spoon feed it to him.
