I opened my eyes and looked up to see my boyfriend fast asleep. Still holding me even while he slept.
He looked peaceful and it made me happy. I watched him until his eyes drifted open and smile once he set his eyes on me.
"Goodmorning Eve. Did you sleep well?"
"I did. It feels so wierd to be here and not going to school."
"Are you sure you want to be skipping then?"
"Just this once. Besides someone has to make sure you're resting and not working."
"If I get to spend time with you then I should rest more often."
"You're so cheesy."
"You know it's what you like about me."
"Maybe."
I said as I got out of bed and went to go grab his medicine. I checked his temperature and it had gone up more.
"You feel very hot Sylveon. I wonder if the medicine is even working."
"Of course it is. I have it right here with me."
"Sylveon, that's just your fever talking."
"Eevee I mean you."
I felt my face go hot. I turned to him and he was giving me a serious look. Even while sick he was still trying to be affectionate with me.
'Sylveon-"
I paused when we heard a knock at the door.
"Expecting anyone?"
"No I don't have any study sessions with the guys right now."
Sylveon said as he made movements to get up.
"No stay here. I'll get it."
"Okay."
Sylveon said with a sigh as he laid back down and I went to answer it. I opened the door and was surprised to see Evelyn there.
"Oh hi Evelyn. What are you doing here?"
"Your mom came to my house saying we were going to have a sleepover. I lied and said you were in the bathroom so she wouldn't see you weren't there. I just came to bring your bag."
"Thanks. Sorry about that by the way."
"It's fine."
She handed my bag to me and we stood there in awkward silence.
"So...you and Sylveon are a thing?"
"Yes. Who told you?"
"Froakie did. I also had my suspicions during break and I just put two and two together."
"Sorry you didn't find out from either of us."
"You don't have to keep apologizing. Besides it's not like you could have with all the drama going on. It's cool by me."
"Ah good."
"And I wanted to apologize about everything going on and putting everyone in the middle of it. All because of...her."
Evelyn's eyes darkened as she said that but only for a second.
"Anyways everything won't repair by itself right away. It's going to take time. And if you want to spend time with either of us seperately I won't hold it against you."
"Thank you."
"Best friends?"
"Best friends."
We hugged and patted each other's back for moral support.
"Oh hello Evelyn."
"Hey fairy boy. What's wrong? You look sick."
"Oh I am. That's why Eve is here taking care of me."
"Eve? Oh my- You guys are so cute I'm gonna vomit."
"I hope you're not being serious."
"Only half serious. Anyways I gotta go to class. Are you coming Eevee or you're gonna stay here?"
"I was planning on staying here until Sylveon gets better."
"Alright, I'll see you guys later."
"Alright Evelyn. By the way how did you find out where I live?"
"Searched up your school address and asked around campus if anyone knew a Shiny Sylveon. Luckily you're the only one."
"I see."
"Bye you two."
"Bye!"
We both waved Evelyn goodbye with Sylveon leaning on me for support.
"Okay you, you're definitely going back to bed."
"Alright I'm going."
I spent the whole weekend with Sylveon. He healed up on Sunday morning while I spent it studying and taking care of him.
He managed to finish his homework on time before his first exam on Monday. He helped me with my homework once he was done.
We spent the rest of Sunday together. He made us dinner and we sat on the couch watching movies. I had to leave of course on Monday morning so I wouldn't get in trouble.
I took both my bags and Sylveon dropped me off at school.
On the ride to school we made a deal on what days we can spend time together and date night.
"How does Thursday's sound?"
"Perfect. I'll make sure it's the best date you ever had."
"I bet you will."
Sylveon came to a stop in front of the school and lifted me down with his ribbons.
"Thanks for taking care of me Eve. I can't wait to see you on Thursday."
"Me too Silver."
We kissed each other goodbye and wished each other a great day.
