Stepping to the side as the woman entered his flat, Theodore inquired the business of her visit, having not expected something like happening, and the woman, posh as she speaks, elegant as she moves around the flat, says that she came to him for help, asking if he's the Doctor.
Nodding, Theodore replied that, he is the Doctor, and she came to the right place, but he's in a peculiar position.
"Well, as you can see, miss, I've been employed already," Theodore responded that while he'd love to help the woman with whatever she needed, he already promised his help with Dom, standing nearby with a look on his face.
The woman turned her head towards Theodore as she says that if he listens to her, he'll find that he'll hit two birds with one stone.
"Someone took my love and hurt our friend, I'd happily hunt them down, but I'm not in the position," the woman explained that someone took her lover and hurt their friend.
She would've gone after them herself, hadn't the problems arisen that she couldn't blend in, which Theodore noted make sense, since she's wearing a black dress and veil, someone would've gotten curious.
Lightly chuckling, the woman responded that it's not her attire that gave her trouble. Her long arms reached up, grabbed the veil, and pulled it over her head, revealing…
Dom immediately gotten agitated and Theodore's trying to keep him calm while his ferrets ran for cover.
Looking at them with her green scales glistening under the light, the woman calmly introduced herself as Liliana.
As he's keeping Dom away, Theodore asked her who'd taken her love and hurt their friend.
Liliana sighs as she says that it was a group of them, wearing protective suits and helmets, she knew their tactics, as she fought against them in combat.
"Getting better and better!" Dom snorted as he looked Liliana with ire in his golden eyes masked by his disguise, which Liliana told him that it's pointless to hide what he really is, she knew what he was the moment she laid eyes on him.
A low growl came from him before he turned off his disguise, revealing a large alien with a head that's reminiscent to a reddened horned devil lizard.
"Excuse me, Sontaran, here?" Theodore drew attention to that detail.
He and his brother dealt with them; he was sure of it!
Nodding, Liliana responded that she saw the with her own two eyes, after they've hurt their friend and taken her lover. They're tactically competent enough they took her lover without anyone knowing anything's wrong and their friend barely survived by the skin of his teeth hadn't Liliana tracked him down and stolen him away before anyone saw him.
"Why would they take your lover?" Theodore's baffled why the Sontaran taken Liliana's lover and she exhales sharply as she says she doesn't know herself, but she had a feeling that they're connected with Dom's problem.
Dom let out a deep growl as he said that he doesn't trust Liliana and neither should Theodore, nothing ever good happened trusting Silurian, and they learnt the hard way what happens when they tried their tricks with the Ko'gan.
Liliana remained calm as she said that she didn't have any part with the aggressions with Dom's people, that was before her tenure as a soldier, and even then, she done nothing to inflict the ire from the old Ko'gan on herself.
Dom didn't believe her, having heard plenty during his time, but Theodore stepped in, reminding them of why they're here in the first place, seeing as they have a common enemy, they can at least latch onto that, and remain objective.
"If she's telling the truth," Dom didn't hesitate showing distrust in Liliana, calling into question why she suddenly showed up to Theodore's place, having no frame of reference of where he even lived, much less knew what he looked like, suspicious in the Ko'gan's golden eyes.
Shaking her head disdainfully as she crossed her arms, the black fabric crumbling as she did, Liliana stated that she came here in good faith, that's all, and pointed out that if she wanted Dom dead, there's better ways hunting him than to an enclosed flat.
"Besides that, everyone knows the Doctor, you must know this by now, it's a matter of who you find," Liliana stated that she knew the Doctor like everyone else, it's only the process of elimination finding the right one, after all, there is a television persona floating around of the same title.
Letting out a low growl as he conceded that Liliana would've hunted him in the open, not trap herself in an enclosed flat she can't easily escape from, much less give herself enough room between her and him, Dom exhaled before turning his massive head towards Theodore.
"I wouldn't trust a Silurian as far as I can throw 'em, Doc," he said to him, "but it'd be stupid for them setting traps like this."
Slowly, Theodore nodded, before saying that he doubted they'd even work for Sontaran, either, and Liliana confirmed that her people weren't particularly fond of them.
"Something we can agree upon," Dom found one thing he and Liliana shared, neither's people liked Sontaran.
Still, he remained wary.
Seeing as it's as good as it'll get as a fragile truce, Theodore told them that if the Sontaran took Liliana's lover and Dom's daughter, they couldn't gotten far, and maybe if they're lucky, they can find a straggler.
There's always the one, someone with something to prove, dim witted, or careless, bound to roam London some fashion.
"Then what're we waiting for, let's go," Dom ushered the two until Theodore reminded him, he needed his disguise.
Humans didn't exactly know aliens existed, yet.
Groaning, Dom did just that, turned back into a human, while Liliana pulled the veil over her face.
Turning his head, Theodore told his ferrets that he'll back, keep out of trouble, and make sure they follow the instructions heating up the lasagna.
Should've expected a snag in his plans having time to himself, but that's par course, so Theodore went with Liliana and Dom out of the building onto the street, as they began their search for a straggler.
With Dom's impeccable sense of smell and having killed Sontaran before, he knew the scent from the back of his four claws, he'll find the straggler, if it's the last thing he does.
"They're wearing infiltration suits, you won't track them down by scent alone," Liliana informed Dom a flaw in his plan, the Sontaran came prepared, they're taking extra precautions, and this meant wearing suits that prevented not even a droplet of sweat from escaping into the open.
Theodore asked how she's sure and she replied that she tracked them for a moment before losing them in the crowds.
Couldn't get close enough, but it's enough for her to know what they're dealing with.
Hearing this, made Theodore curious, as he asks Liliana how why she came here in the first place, and Liliana said they decided on a trip, having decided they earned one from everything they've done over the course of the year.
It was Melia's idea coming here, she never been to London before, and neither Liliana or Patata, so they decided it would've been an intriguing prospect.
Unfortunately, they didn't anticipate the arrival of the Sontaran, which Liliana suggested came shortly after they arrived.
"I'm aware of the Sontaran and Silurian conflicts, but it doesn't explain why they didn't initially pick up on your presence," Theodore brought up that it's peculiar the Sontaran didn't immediately pick up Liliana on their scanners, they would've drawn their weapons the moment the canners confirmed Liliana's presence.
Giving him an unseen grin, Liliana said that she's a former soldier, her training hadn't gone away, even after all these years.
Underneath her black dress's a suit that kept her body temperature regulated and masked her presence from any threats that might've popped up.
"I don't hear anything that'll help us find a straggler," Dom spoke up as he's tired of the talking between Theodore and Liliana.
Shaking her head disapprovingly, Liliana said that she can track the Sontaran with her suit, Patata's expertise helped her with that regard, he insisted on it.
The way Sontaran's suits worked, when they're off their ships, they become traceable, easy to find whenever there's trouble, and pinpointing enemy locations.
If there's a Sontaran still prowling, his suit's sending coordinates back to the ship.
Meaning, Liliana's able to track him down, but she doesn't know where they landed their ship. They're careful about that sort, hence once they get the straggler, they'll find where the ship's hidden.
"Why didn't you do it, then?" Dom questioned why Liliana hadn't tracked the straggler herself, seeing she's got everything worked out, and the Silurian stated that she can't exactly fend off ten-fifteen Sontaran coming at her, all at once, on her own.
Meditating them, Theodore tells Dom that it's a plan, and he ushered them forward with him using his perfected Sonic Screwdriver on Liliana's suit, allowing them to have better chances finding a straggler.
"Surprised they got one of you," Dom noted that Melia becoming captured by the Sontaran seemed out of character for Silurian.
Even when his people fought them, they didn't go down easily, even with their entrails hanging out from their open wounds.
A light giggle from Liliana before she corrected Dom, Melia wasn't a Silurian like herself, she's human.
"Human?" Theodore's baffled that the Sontaran taken a human and Dom's baffled that a Silurian had a human as a mate.
While they're walking and her dress fluttering in the breeze, Liliana answered that it surprised herself that the Sontaran took Melia until she suspected the Sontaran took her because their scanners picked up Liliana's DNA on Melia.
Briefly turning her head towards Dom, Liliana added that she didn't mind Melia being human.
"But they stink!" Dom's baffled at the thought of a human mate, he complained they have a weird smell about them, the weird places they grow fur, and everything else.
It gave Theodore pause, before Dom expressed that he couldn't help but notice it, after spending days working with them on the set.
Shaking her head, her veil fluttering, Liliana remarked that Melia being human didn't bother her and brought that she bathes like everyone else.
"Regardless, it'll help us, if they took Melia, then that means we can track her as well," Theodore brought up they have another way of tracking down the ship and the kidnapped women.
Looking towards Dom, Theodore asks if he's capable of tracking Melia, and the old Ko'gan snorted as he lambasted Theodore for even asking such a stupid question.
Of course, he's capable of tracking Melia.
Turning his head, Theodore asks Liliana if she has anything of Melia's that Dom can gain her scent.
As she walked, Liliana pondered before reaching into her brassiere, bringing out a locket that Melia bought for her for her birthday.
Showing this to Dom, he took one whiff, filtering out Liliana, and smelled the old scent of Melia.
Snorting, Dom said he has Melia's scent and knows she's fond of wearing perfume derived from wild roses and cloves.
Liliana's impressed at Dom's ability to smell even something as subtle as a perfume and the Ko'gan responds that he can keep the scent for thousands of years and still find Melia.
… Or her distant relatives, whichever comes first.
"Still worth a shot," Theodore told them that it's better than nothing and with their peculiar situation, they need everything they can muster, and they have to proceed with caution when dealing with Sontaran.
He didn't want the world knowing about them much less them causing problems that resulted in people getting hurt.
When they track them down, Theodore wants them gone from Earth, the last visitors weren't friendly, so he isn't expecting them any different.
Reaching out to Al, Theodore told him what happened and for him remaining on standby in case anything happens.
"Gee, you don't think they finally gotten word about their friends, do you?" Al wondered if the Sontaran came around after receiving word that their subordinates went missing.
… It does take time for them getting word during off-world endeavors and Theodore admitted that he doesn't know if there's any correlation.
Al asked why Theodore didn't simply go into the TARDIS and track the Sontaran down that way.
While that would've made things a whole lot easier, Theodore reminded him that Dom and Liliana in the TARDIS might've not gone over well.
Centuries of conflicts with Silurian kept Dom weary and Liliana, well, Theodore isn't sure about her, but point is, he didn't want them messing up the console room because of their tempers flaring.
"Fair point, male Ko'gan are strong enough they'll throw me two meters!" Al saw his point and doled out a fact about male Ko'gan having the ability tossing the TARDIS nearly two meters.
Theodore asked if the TARDIS' capable of tracking down the Sontaran ship and Al said that he had no issues doing so in the past, but these days, he's certain that the Sontaran advanced in technology that he can't easily identify their location.
"But I beat sudoku, so anything's possible," Al mentioned before saying he'll try finding the ship on his end.
