The drive to the Grill was silent. Stefan was keeping his eyes on the road, Damon was staring out the window, trying not to get angry and Elena was trying to hold down whatever blood was left in her system.
With Stefan pulling up, every passing moment spent outside was making Elena feel more sick. She wanted so badly to drink some blood, human or animal, but she was afraid that it'd come right up without warning.
"Are you sure you should be doing this? You can barely stand up without needing to vomit." Stefan held Elena in his arms.
"I need to do this." Elena smiled.
"Elena, try to drink from this. It helps me, so it'll help you." Damon pulled out a flask, handing it to Elena.
"Yes, Stefan. It's human blood." Damon rolled his eyes.
Opening up the flask, Elena took a sip of the blood that was inside. Surprisingly, the blood that she consumed didn't come back up.
Entering the Grill, it mostly empty, there were a few people here and there, but no one was really interested in their surroundings.
"Elena, hello." Isobel smiled as she stood up, hugging Elena, who still hadn't vomited.
"What has brought us here today?" Isobel asked, sipping her drink.
"How did you know I was a vampire?" Elena asked, getting straight to the point.
"I was suspicious when I came back from the bathroom the other day. I saw a red lining around your lips and I knew that it couldn't have been alcohol as you would be underage. It definitely wasn't lipstick. So, I reduced it down to being blood." Isobel smiled, looking at Elena who seemed nervous.
"My suspicions were confirmed when you went on a rampage in front of me." Isobel explained.
Elena looked around, unable to find a way to ask the next question. Isobel clearly knew what she was going to ask.
"If you're wondering if I will say anything, I won't. Exposing you would expose me..." Isobel smiled, watching as two men, Damon and Stefan, approached the table.
"Settle down boys. There will be no exposing happening." Isobel rolled her eyes at the sight of Damon and Stefan.
"We're not worried about you exposing her. We're worried that you might go blabbing to a certain someone and we can't have that." Damon smirked, pulling up a seat right next to Isobel, hoping to make her uncomfortable.
"And who would that certain someone be?" She asked, confused.
"You know who." Stefan was fed up with Damon trying to be threatening.
"Oh, you mean Klaus? No, no, no. I wouldn't dream of telling him. Unless he compelled me." Isobel acted confused.
"You better not tell Klaus, 'cause if you do, I will personally hunt you down myself and end you." Damon maniacally smiled.
"Wow. Threats? Really? What are you, a 15 year old girl with jealousy issues?" Isobel rolled her eyes, watching with happiness as Damon growled.
"How about this? If you stay out of my way, and let me go about my business without any trouble, I'll make sure that Elena remains unharmed." Isobel stood up, hastily grabbing Elena, holding a wooden stake against her neck.
Elena panicked, hoping that Stefan and Damon would agree.
"She's immortal..." Damon acted like a know-it-all.
"She may be immortal...but I can still stab her in the heart, snap her neck, rip out her throat or even rip her heart out. Then we'll see just how immortal she is..." Isobel smirked.
"She's your daughter, Isobel! How could you threaten your own daughter's life?" Stefan objected.
Isobel seemed shocked to find out that Elena, Stefan and Damon knew.
"She may be my daughter, but I'll still do whatever I want to make my point known." Isobel threw Elena toward Stefan, who didn't hesitate to catch and hold her. Running off, Isobel left Damon, Stefan and Elena sitting in the Grill, each of them shocked by what just happened.
"It's settled. Isobel is a serious threat and she doesn't mind killing her own daughter to prove a point. And I thought I was the dangerous one..." Damon seemed shocked by Isobel's threats and intentions.
Damon knew he was just as dangerous as Isobel, especially without his humanity, but he wouldn't kill someone he cared about or was related to, just to prove a point. That where he saw a difference between him and Isobel.
"So, Stefan. Do you finally recognise Isobel as a threat?" Damon asked as Stefan sighed, admitting defeat.
"Yes, Damon. I recognise Isobel as a threat." Stefan rolled his eyes.
