Learning little, Theodore and Lila concluded that Mr. Whiskers caught and killed Mr. Ginny, taking over his home, for whatever reason, thus leaving them with a question.
Where does Mr. Whiskers go when he's not home?
Al found the bills paid on time, Mr. Ginny had his bill automatically paid online, handy feature, meaning until his bank accounts finally ran dry, which Al suggested in about fifteen years since Mr. Whiskers hasn't touch the money, nobody's going to come looking for back payments anytime soon.
Family wise, Al says that they shouldn't expect anyone coming around worrying about Mr. Ginny's absence, he doesn't have any family.
Lost them in WW2.
Al found the paperwork describing how, didn't have to tell them anything for them to know what happened.
Once this' said and done, there isn't a happy ending, not for Mr. Ginny.
"At least we'll make sure he gets his peace," Theodore tells Al that they'll do everything possible avenging Mr. Ginny, as it's the only thing they can do for him, now.
Finding what became of him's difficult until they get their hands on Mr. Whiskers and doing so's folly since he's proven dangerous.
Once Al identifies Mr. Whiskers, they'll have an easier way dealing with him.
With them there, no doubt Mr. Whiskers might've become suspicious the moment he notices the two working in the garden.
Less, he doesn't think of it, growing comfortable, complacent, he doesn't see them as danger, yet.
Can't make mistakes on this, so they're working with what they have on hand, and not taking chances.
He's not sociable, Nina told them this, that'd mean he wouldn't get interested talking to them suddenly, if he did, then they'd have to assume they're made.
"What do you think?" Lila looked towards Theodore as they're finishing up their duties for the day, no sign of Mr. Whiskers, they've covertly checked his side more than once, but he hadn't shown.
Pondering silently to himself, Theodore finally said he doesn't think Mr. Whiskers considers Nina a personal threat that he'd have to hunt and kill her, but he didn't want to be wrong, either.
Theodore hoped that Mr. Whiskers wouldn't consider Nina a threat at all, he could easily play off as her being a young bored child, who has a penchant for making up things because she looks out her window all the time.
"Meanwhile, I think we should watch ourselves, Lee," Theodore reminded her that while he thinks Nina's safe, Mr. Whiskers thinking that she's no danger to him, they're not so fortunate.
Sighing, Lila responded with, "When aren't we?"
Since the day Hamon pushed them into the TARDIS, they've been watching their backs like hawks, so much, they've gotten cricks in their necks more than once because of the constant dangers they deal with almost on a daily.
Their work day finally ended, returned every equipment used, sloughed off the external gardening clothes, before returning to the TARDIS where they took showers, and upon returning to the console room, Al's waiting for them in his polka dotted puffy shirt and black vest over it.
"I think I know what we're dealing with," Al told them that after looking through the archives, he found the "monster" they're dealing with, but it's something unexpected.
He revealed to them that Mr. Whiskers' an Orkabito.
Not just any one, though, one that encountered a Doctor prior, causing trouble in another universe, and the Doctor tried being humane, releasing Mr. Whiskers somewhere else that he couldn't hurt anyone.
"Well, that went out of the window, didn't it?" Lila pointed out that the plan didn't work the way that Doctor hoped and Al mentioned that when the Doctor sent him away, he ended up released sometime in the 1800s of this universe, in the middle of the ocean.
That Doctor didn't know about this, but the Orkabito live long lives, so Mr. Whiskers went through strides in the time, coming back on land, and judging from what Al's heard, it'd seem Mr. Whiskers found another way to pass human, too.
The first time he tried, it didn't end well for the man that came across from him.
Ever watched the hit feature, "Men in Black"?
"Oh, but uh, our friends dealt with him, last I checked, he was afraid of them. I don't know if he is or not since he's been hunting for over two-hundred years," Al remembered the Orkabito encountering the Samito during that adventure, the Samito hunted him with ease, because he tried to prove himself.
Guess he thought if he convinced the Doctor long enough, the Doctor would've destroyed the Samito, and kill him before he realized that Mr. Whiskers' the threat all-along.
"Basically, he's going to look at you unfavorably and if he knows we know the Samito, it's not going to end well, either," Lila summed that the moment Mr. Whiskers knows Theodore's the Doctor and he knows the Samito, still, it's going to cause problems because the Orkabito's hunted over the course of decades indiscriminately, that he isn't afraid of them anymore.
Might challenge the idea that he couldn't hunt the Doctor, now that he's become bolder.
"Exactly. Now, from my databases, Orkabito have thick blubbery skin, gunfire and harpoons aren't going to do much but anger him. Which, I don't need to tell you that's not a good idea," Al summed what he found in his databases. "In the universe he came from, they're usually hunted by giant octopods. Highly intelligent, helluva poker players, too."
Mr. Whiskers found himself in one sea to another, chased onto land by predators that outclassed him, now on land on his own, outclassing humans.
"There anything we can use?" Theodore crossed his long arms as Al tapped his cigarette against the phantom ash tray.
Raising his free hand, Al tells him that as Orkabito age, their skins thicken, since he's been in this universe for decades, it's thick enough, that even a flag pole isn't going to do much but inconvenience Mr. Whiskers.
Which, as for names, Al says he doesn't know his actual name, just that at one point he went by "Ferris" and that was the name of the victim he assumed the form of, again, don't ask how, it's best not to think about these things.
"There's gotta be something," Lila gestures as Al stuck the cigarette in his mouth, puffing phantom smoke as he's deep in thought.
He asked Theodore how he wanted this adventure to end and Theodore tells him he doesn't want anyone else dying, but if he must, Mr. Whiskers or Ferris, whatever has name is, won't threaten anyone else after he's dealt with.
"Well, maybe, we can lure him into a trap, send him to his universe, I have it in my archives indicating his predators have evolved considerably since he weaseled his way out of the seas," Al suggested that if Theodore doesn't want any needles bloodshed, then all he had to do's lure Mr. Whiskers into a trap where Al's capable of sending him back to his universe where time's considerably passed and where Mr. Whiskers' natural predators evolved further, meaning he has no edge against them.
Thinking it over, Theodore asked the extent of the evolution and Al tells him that the evolution's extensive enough that the moment Mr. Whiskers' ended up dropped into his universe, he'll lose whatever confidence he gained, and wish he kept his brown trousers.
"Basically, the Orkabito lose a couple of pegs and end up on the bottom of the food chain, they're basically what you'd akin to… I don't know, your pastrami sandwiches," Al gestured as he haphazardly explained how evolved everything's become in Mr. Whiskers' universe, that he'll be fortunate to survive it once they force him back there.
Of course, the matter of which they haven't narrowed down, yet.
Uncrossing her arms, Lila looked towards Al as she asks, "He can see the tears, too, right?"
Nodding, Al responded that Mr. Whiskers can, that's how he accidentally ended up in the Samito's cove and the universe before this one.
"So, we can't trick him into going into a tear that Theodore makes," Lila summed that they couldn't trick the Orkabito into running through the tear, since he'll see it.
Frowning as he rubbed his chin, Theodore says that even if Mr. Whiskers sees the tears, it doesn't mean they can't use them, they just have to be creative about it.
"How's that?" Lila asked Theodore as he paced around the console room.
Deep in thought, Theodore suggested that if they keep Mr. Whiskers occupied long enough, he couldn't escape from the tear, like a cartoon.
Animated smoke coming from his flippers as he's trying to chase after Theodore and Lila, unable to stop in his place, falling into the tear sending him back to his advanced home world, where he's put in his place.
"Well, we're not in a cartoon, so, how're we going to do that?" Lila pointed out that they couldn't do what Scooby Doo and the gang did on a regular business.
There's still things that even Theodore can't break with his Time Lord prowess.
Running at warp speed, stopping in place, animated smoke behind him, isn't one.
"Hm, well, our friend hasn't seen the inside of an office, that much I know, how much do you want to bet that he takes day trips to the beach, we're only a few miles from it," Al pondered their options.
Since Mr. Whiskers wasn't the working type, relying on Mr. Ginny's automated payments, and a killer whale alien, he'd spend much of his time in the oceans, hunting only God knows what.
"If you think I'm doing a "Jaws" to catch him, you're outta your circuits, Al," Lila snubbed the idea of them going out in a dinghy in the middle of the ocean, hoping the Orkabito takes the bait, and catch him there.
Shrugging his polka dotted shoulders, Al says that it might work if they have no other choices, reminding her that they needed to tread carefully.
Aliens weren't in contact, people would panic at the sight of Mr. Whiskers' true form, and none of them want that.
"He's right, we have to do this delicately and if we can't talk him into submission, we'll have to make him," Theodore sighs as he deduced, they didn't have many options.
If they get found, it's only going to further complicate problems, and problems they do not need.
He didn't want needless bloodshed and he definitely didn't want a scene with Mr. Whiskers in his true form out in the open where people see him.
Nobody needed that happening and Theodore hoped that even Mr. Whiskers knew.
Maybe he spent decades of killing humans, but he knows that while he's on land, he doesn't have much chance against unrelenting mobs after his blood, even with his strength and thick skin, they're not going to stop until they finally kill him.
So, Theodore hoped, anyway, he couldn't see into Mr. Whiskers head, not that he could anyhow, they're two different species.
It'd be like him trying to read the mind of a pineapple.
Not to scare anyone who perhaps enjoys partaking in consuming pineapples, they're your standard tropic fruit, nothing more.
Mushrooms remain suspect, however.
"Unless," Al gotten an idea in his head that the two noticed the cogs turning in his holographic head as he paused. "Well, we're out of our element. There's no chance you two can wrasse with Mr. Whiskers, but we do know three Samito who're in their element."
Suggesting they call in a favour from the Samito, Theodore pointed out that Al said that he wasn't sure it'd be a good idea, since Mr. Whiskers likely isn't afraid of them, anymore.
Nodding, Al, admitted that he's aware of this, but he brought up a point, they're in their element. They have experience, they'll know how to deal with Mr. Whiskers long enough for them to trick him into going into a paid vacation to Hell.
"I mean, that's a bold move, Cotton, but problem, are they going to help us?" Lila asks Al as he put out the cigarette stub in the invisible ash tray before another cigarette took its place.
Looking towards her with his dark eyes, Al tells her that the Samito held a beef with Mr. Whiskers for a long time, and they do owe to the Doctor since he let them live.
They'll also want to help rid the Orkabito for good, they're very sensitive about the rules, Al explains, that he's hunting for thrill, not hunger, something frowned upon.
"Even if we do, we're asking a lot from them," Theodore mentioned that if they call upon the Samito's help, they risk them getting hurt by Mr. Whiskers.
Nodding, Al replied that he knows this, but the Samito were their best chance herding Mr. Whiskers somewhere that he couldn't hurt anyone else, giving them ample time making a tear into his universe.
Looking at each other, silently conversing with their eyes, Theodore and Lila went over their options, both discussing the risks, and concluded that the Samito were their best shot.
They're familiar with Mr. Whiskers and with three Samito after one Orkabito, that'll give Theodore and Lila time planning their next move.
"Another thing, say we do this, what're we going to do about the murder, or murders, should I say?" Lila brought up that after all this, they're still left with an important detail.
The death of the shepherd and whoever else Mr. Whiskers hurt and killed over the decades.
Even if they got rid of him, they'll still have to deal with the fallout, to which Theodore acknowledged.
"Well, half-truths are better than no truths," Theodore exhaled as he's going over their ideas.
