Amy wasn't so much bewildered as she was impressed and proud of the way Tails was exploring his feminine side ever since he had put on a blouse and skirt of hers. He seemed to enjoy how his diaper wasn't visible, but the crinkle also wasn't muffled by his denim overalls, and Amy appreciated how easy diaper checks were as he continued playing with his die cast cars on his large play mat in his room. He almost didn't react as she simply lifted up the back of the skirt and gave the crotch of his diaper a few test squeezes.
"Alright, little missy, I think a little foxy needs a diaper change," Amy said, before putting her arms under his shoulders and getting him up to his feet, before guiding him over to the changing table. The skirt proved advantageous yet again as getting it unclipped, down and off took less time than even the crotch snaps of his overalls. After that, he climbed up onto the table and laid back on the padding. In order to reach the tapes, she folded up the blouse once to get it up out of the way, and then she began ripping off the tapes one by one.
"Been enjoying yourself so far today?" Amy asked as she opened up the wet diaper, got it rolled up and tossed away before going to work on his loins with baby wipes.
"Absolutely," Tails replied, blushing lightly. "I don't know if I can put it into the right words right now, but it's like... A different kind of cute, more feminine obviously."
"Well, you certainly make an adorable little girl... That can't keep dry yet, obviously," Amy teased, continuing to wipe him down, electing to ignore the semi-erection he got from the attention. Tails gave a soft giggle as Amy's words made him tingle a bit inside. With his nether region as clean as it was going to get without a bath, Amy grabbed a clean diaper down from the shelves, unfolded and fluffed it, before lifting him up and sliding it under him. Giving him a quick dusting of powder before bring the front of the diaper up between his legs, smoothing it against his stomach, and taping it up just a little bit tighter than she normally did due to his partial erection not going all the way down just yet.
"And there we are, little missy, all dry!" Amy declared, helping him sit up and put him down on the floor, then adjusted the blouse, before helping him back into the skirt. "Time for lunch!"
He followed Amy out of the nursery and down the stairs, skirt billowing and clean diaper crinkling with every step. He had come up to the dining table and high chair when he felt a rush of air as he heard the front door open and close quickly.
"Well well, what do we have here?" He heard Sonic's voice behind him. Tails turned and saw his best friend looking him up and down.
"Well, don't be rude, sweetheart," Amy told him from over by the stove.
Tails' cheeks lit up for a moment as he took hold of the sides of his skirt and offered Sonic a short curtsy. Sonic chuckled in return and stepped forward to help him into the high chair.
"Don't know how ya did it, but he's even cuter now," Sonic commented as he put the high chair's tray back into place.
"It was actually his idea, just helping him explore more of his curiosities," Amy replied.
"Well, my little lady," Sonic said, making sure Tails knew he was addressing him. "How would you like some big time tomorrow? We could go to your workshop and you could get some work done on your plane. While remaining in diapers, of course."
Tails face lit up. As much as he had been enjoying the baby treatment, taking a little bit to to work on his gadgets sounded like a very refreshing change of pace.
"Sure thing, Daddy!"

I would like to offer my profound apologies for the crazy amount of time between this update and the last, and the only thing I can do at this time is offer this short chapter as proof-of-life for this story. My excuse is: MLP G5 released back in September and absolutely took every single ounce of my creative energy for the past four and a half months. That creative siphoning is something that is unfortunately still going on, and I only have so much free time in the day.
