I don't own Harry Potter or Jurassic world/park as they belong to J.K Rowling and Universal and I have to say big thanks for The Broken Mask for helping for the editing.
After a long but fitful night for Harry, he woke up in a room he didn't immediately recognise, even without his glasses that were still on the bedside table beside him. This wasn't the cupboard beneath the stairs. However, when he saw the time on the clock that was also on the bedside table, he was up with a start, knowing he should be making breakfast for his family before he was even allowed his piece of bread, if he even got that.
"Harry dear, you're awake." Mrs Figg said with a smile, meeting Harry as he rushed out his room.
"I-I need to make breakfast." Harry said, the previous day's events slowly coming back to him.
"No need, dear. I will make you some when you have had a bath." Mrs Figg replied, handing a pile of warm clothes over to the young boy.
"Will I have any chores to do? Like when the Dursleys left me here before?" Harry asked, this all being very difficult for him to get his head around.
"No chores for you, Harry. Not today." Mrs Figg said, patting the stack of clothes gently but pointedly. "Now hurry along, have your bath and get dressed. I put them in the dryer for you so they'll be nice and warm for you. Master Dumbledore will be here once we've had our breakfast with those friends of your parents he mentioned yesterday."
Mrs Figg lead Harry across the landing and opened the door up to her bathroom for him, clean towels neatly folded across a railing next to the bathtub, before closing the door behind her and walking downstairs again to start making some breakfast. However, she was shocked to find there were already people in her house - Dumbledore and two more men who she already knew as well, one wearing old fashioned clothes and had sandy coloured hair and the other thin with long, very dark brown hair and equally ragged facial hair.
"Why did you bring him here? He should be in a cell in Azkaban!" Mrs Figg protested, mostly to Dumbedore.
"I did not commit those crimes that I am accused of, Arabella. I never betrayed them and I never killed anyone." The dark haired man said through gritted teeth.
"Sirius has been granted temporary leave given recent events, Mrs Figg." Dumbledore said firmly, he too never believing for a moment Sirius Black did the things he was accused of.
"... Very well then." Mrs Figg said reluctantly. "You're earlier than I expected, Harry will be coming downstairs soon and we'll have our breakfast then."
"I'm afraid I have to request that you keep Harry for a few days more, Mrs Figg, once he has met Mr Black and Mr Lupin." Dumbledore said. "Then I will return to take Harry. I have managed to speak to cousins of both Lily and of James"
Dumbledore said this with a smile and a glitter in his aged blue eyes from behind his half-moon shaped glasses, but Mrs Figg was glad of this turn of events, even if she hadn't anticipated fostering Harry for this long. Just then, the four adults could hear Harry making his way quietly down the stairs, wearing the provided clothes that were a little too big for him, and he was soon looking into the room with eyes as wide as full moons, half hiding behind the door frame in the presence of more strangers.
"Good morning Harry." Dumbledore greeted the young boy warmly. "I see that you are looking better this morning. Allow me to introduce your mother and father's friends, Mister Remus Lupin and Mister Sirius Black who is actually your god father."
"You've grown up so much since I saw you last." Sirius said to Harry with a smile, perhaps the first time he had smiled since he had been sentenced, seeing so much of both Lily and James in this child. "The last time I saw you, I was helping you ride a toy broomstick. Your mother was very annoyed."
"R-Really?" Harry asked, looking between Sirius and Remus who were sharing a look of amusement of their own. "Did you know my mum and dad before they died in the car crash?"
"What? A car crash? No, that's not what happened, your aunt and uncle lied-" Sirius started, although he was cut short by Remus elbowing him in the side.
"Never mind that now." Remus said firmly even though he could feel his werewolf side roaring in rage inside of him, to the point of his eyes flashing gold for just a moment.
"We shall focus on Harry, his recovery and his situation." Dumbledore inputted. "The Aurors and the muggle authorities are both working on his case and the Dursleys will soon be charged for what they did. In the meantime, you both should catch up with Harry."
No sooner than Remus and Sirius had nodded their agreement than the fire in Mrs Figg's fireplace burst with green light once again, but this time a woman stepped through, dressed in a nurse's uniform.
"My apologies for running late, I just needed to pick up some things from the Nurse's Office." The woman said, holding several vials and bottles as well as a long thin piece of wood.
"This is Madam Pomfrey, Harry." Dumbledore said to Harry, the woman smiling kindly down to the boy as she set all her bottles and vials down. "She will examine you for injuries and heal you so you can recover from them."
With some encouragement from Mrs Figg, Harry laid down on the sofa and Madam Pomfrey used her wand to cast some spells over the boy. Everyone else stepped back, allowing the healer and the boy to have some space, but not a word was said as a list appeared above the boy on magical parchment, detailing all the injuries Harry had received, past and present, from bruises and cuts to injuries much worse. A list which just kept growing and growing.
"Oh my dear boy." Madam Pomfrey gasped gently, trying not to let the horror she was feeling show on her face so she didn't frighten him.
Dumbledore especially was having a very hard time trying to keep a straight face, but he soon turned to the fire again and disappeared in a puff of green smoke.
"He will be back soon, Harry. He'll just have gone to see some people." Mrs Figg said kindly to the boy who was staring at the fire.
"Looks like they'll be in much more trouble now." Remus could be heard saying to Sirius in hushed tones, his expression straight but his eyes like thunder.
"I'd give them hell myself if I could." Sirius grumbled right back, physically turning away from the growing list and looking out the nearby window instead.
"Did you read those books yet, Harry dear?" Mrs Figg said, attempting to distract and calm Harry while her cats began mewling for their breakfast.
"Some of them, but not all of them." Harry said meekly, distracted by the cats at least.
Finally, the list produced by Madam Pomfrey's spell was finished and the healer took the list from the air, holding it close to her chest as she stood back upright, allowing Harry to sit back up again as well.
"I will have to come back in a few days, some of his bones will need setting so they heal correctly." Madam Pomfrey said to Mrs Figg quietly, handing over the bottles and vials she had brought with her. "For now, give one of these to Harry with every meal. I will bring some more with me when I return in a few days."
With one last warm smile to Harry, Madam Pomfrey too disappeared in green smoke, but the calmness didn't last long as there was a loud bang from outside. Harry knew where it was coming from and rushed to the window to see, looking at his former home a few houses down from the one he was in now. He could see Dumbledore at the head of a group of men, most of them dressed in black suits but some others in police uniforms, but Owen Grady and Henry Wu were there too at the back of the group. He could hear what was happening as well, and that Vernon had answered the door, still in his pyjamas.
"Mr and Mrs Dursley." One of the men in police uniform said, now stood next to Dumbledore and holding out some papers. "You are now under arrest while investigations are undertaken against you. Furthermore, both of your charges will be removed from your care while these investigations are carried out."
"You can't do this to us!" Vernon spat, already trying to resist the officer who was trying to put him in handcuffs. "We've cared for that boy as if he was our own son from the moment he was left on our doorstep!"
"Yeah right!" Owen said, just short of shouting at the horrible man, his fists clenched by his sides but being sternly talked to by Henry, the older man putting his hand on the younger man's shoulder.
"Harry, come away from there and have some breakfast." Mrs Figg called to the boy. "And you can show these men your books."
With one last look out the window, Harry did as he was told, gathering his books up and putting them on the dining table to show Sirius and Remus as Mrs Figg made them all some toast.
