It's been more than twenty adventures since the incident with the brief reappearance of Jimmy Crane, self-sworn enemy of Theodore, after becoming an experiment by an unlikely culprit, Kira, surprising Theodore, and shocking Lila.

It's difficult to know for sure, whether Kira experimented on Jimmy out of revenge for his treatment of her or the experiments she underwent made her want to do the same to Jimmy.

The man and woman that Jimmy experimented on, Al managed to find their identities after scouring, both went missing around the same time, neither knew each other, Jimmy kidnapped them from different parts of the world.

The man came from Canada and the woman, somewhere in Germany, Berlin or Hamburg, Jimmy must've experimented them in their countries of origin, rather risk bringing them back to wherever he hunkered before the city.

Once they took, it was easier to cross the borders with them without risk of someone realizing something amiss.

Al confirmed that the man and woman had mutations from the strain that Kira used on Jimmy, but he found they had major flaws in their design, that in time, Jimmy would've had to force himself to kidnap another set of people, to try again.

Externally, they looked fine, but internally, from the blood he gotten from the woman when Lila used her knife to try to keep her away from them during the chase, they're ticking time bombs, almost ready to drop dead at any time.

Despite Jimmy's efforts, he would've failed anyway, and thus his painful spasms would've worsened sooner than later.

Al couldn't explain why Jimmy and Kira developed the insatiable need to experiment, he guessed that it was Annika's doing, probably to help further propagate the tyrants in the new age.

The total victims that Jimmy forced into the experimented ranged about twelve, failures in his eyes, and Al concludes that police have recovered at least three of the victims, marred beyond recognition out of fit of rage by Jimmy.

The gifts Annika swore she wanted to share, were the unfortunate gifts that kept coming, it'd seem, but thankfully, Al's sure that there's no more tyrants active in the universe.

Fine tuning the scanners with what he found, Al's certain that Jimmy and the pair were the last tyrants in existence, thus the age of tyrants are over.

Sad, as always when a species becomes extinct, but as Al said, nature always has a plan, as cruel it seems.

As for the statue that disabled him, Al worked it out, it's an unknown combination of radioactive matter, fine tuned, to the point he likened it to a designer boutique the way it looked on his scans.

The origins of them, remained unknown, but Al didn't think it came from the universe, brought, more likely, and in theory, Jimmy couldn't have made it, if he tried.

That said, the end of Jimmy Crane, once an infamous Irish mobster, was once a mess on the ground, having fallen six stories.

It remains unclear how the crane ended up slamming into him, from what Al found, no one should've been operating it at that hour, but somehow it did, and once more, another question for the ages.

The shock of what happened to Kira remained with Lila, unable to shake it off even with Theodore's words, the thought that Kira would've fallen into the same stupor as Annika, and while Jimmy had it coming, Lila wanted more from Kira, yet didn't pan out the way she wanted.

Theodore comforted her the best to his advantage and she appreciated him all the same, though the bitter taste didn't go away for a while after.

Eventually, they fallen back into adventuring, and it's early August, now, the forecast predicted some rain and a chance of storms, at the end of the week, it's supposed to be perfect weather for the weekend.

Which.

Hammond in his unearthly ways, decided that the weekend will be when their department helps host a murder mystery.

He thought it'd be fun and with parts of their department closed off for maintenance, it's better than filing paperwork elsewhere in the library, which no one couldn't deny.

Theodore swears he's scheming something, but Hammond always rejected the idea of plotting his brother's role in the murder mystery.

Why, it'd be against the code of ethics if he intentionally messed with the story to suit his amusement!

Of course, Theodore didn't believe a word he said, suspecting his brother of conspiring, if only Lila and the others believed him.

Bill's counting down to the minute when Louise Demonbruen arrives in London, the woman needed both Theodore and Lila to keep her from shooting through the roof in excitement.

She's worse than David in her excitement!

Sadly, her reunion with Louise isn't for another few weeks and her chocolate eyes darted back and forth at the calendar, waiting for that day, she even stocked her fridge with wine for the upcoming occasion.

Oh, what will the librarians do with dear Potters?

In other news, Al and Bumble are getting on nicely, Bumble found Al's traits endearing, as interesting as it sounds, guess she never knew about Dean Stockwell and Al's penchant for embellishing, though Theodore allowed it, as it made Bumble happy, and Al's upfront.

They've been on more dates than Theodore and Lila can count, on days when there weren't an adventure's the day Al and Bumble go on their little dates.

As it stands, Al's side hobby of writing sizzling stories gained traction lately, that he's considering publishing them under an assumed name, with some slight alternations to a couple of names and whatnot.

Why would a machine want to write his own smut, one asks themselves, because he wanted a hobby, and in his own ways, thought it was good enough, pointing out that millions write it everyday, though the quality of their works tended to be either sizzling or as interesting as plutonium jelly with a side of toast.

With centuries of experiences and a black box filled with memories, Al's set to write multiple franchises on a given day, provided he isn't helping Theodore and Lila save the world.

"I'm not doing it for money," Al pointed out that he didn't care for the thought, what would a machine want with money, anyhow?

He just needed something to pass the time.

Theodore and Lila couldn't come up with anything to counter that, thus Al's free to write his smut, provided he doesn't forget to clear his chapters from the screens above the console when Theodore and Lila try to use it.

Not something they want to see when they're dealing with a death defying adventure.

A brief update regarding to Hammond's side job as a tutor, Dorothy's doing better after her kidnapping, Hammond managed to clear up everything in his own way.

Her mother blessed his continued tutorship with Dorothy, due to her begging her mother, having taking a shine to her professor's teachings, and kept her promise of not telling anyone of his unusual nature, finding those traits endearing.

With her mother's blessing, she's started as a intern at the library, only after school and breaks, under Hammond's watchful eyes, and keen on helping with the murder mystery coming up, as it fell on a weekend.

Remained a handful at times, but Hammond remained hopeful that she'll grow out of her brash nature, and even went far as gifting her a chemistry set for her 13th birthday, hoping it will inspire her further into going to STEM work.

While most would decry this move, Dorothy took care with the chemistry set, using it not for cherry bombs, but studying, much to Hammond's delight, though she remained mischievous.

She's even getting better at chess, which Hammond teaches her when she's done with her internship at the library for the day, and though Hammond still wins, she's getting better by the day.

Indeed, it's a bizarre sight seeing the short man with a short temper with his brother have the patience of a monk with a rambunctious 13 year old.

With everything said, begins another adventure, and this one involved an unusual trip to a wax museum, but not the famous ones on Earth like one expects when they hear the word, rather it's somewhere elsewhere, on a different planet in a whole different universe far from theirs.

It'd appear that Theodore and Lila were gifted tickets to this wax museum and it prompted them to head out to visit after work, curious, and because it interested them in the reasons why they gotten tickets to a wax museum of all places.

While it wasn't the normal adventure, normal as in dealing with Daleks, Cybermen, oh my, it was something different, Theodore reasoned, and already Lila counted down to when the rug gets pulled from under them.

Nothing ever good happens when they get invited to these things and even when nothing happens, there's always reasonable doubt presented that something's chanced happening.

Besides that, if Lila had to pick a poison, a wax museum wouldn't come to mind as easily, having watched enough horror movies to know nothing good happened at them.

Unreasonable to hold these thoughts, but considering everything they went through since the TARDIS kidnapped them, well, it's hard not to think these things.

Especially when the last time they went to a museum, it didn't end well.

Arriving at the Kershaw's Marvelous Wax Museum on LV-13, Theodore stepped outside, his large hands in his stitched pockets, the deerstalker stuck on his head with his wild hair pushed underneath, behind Lila pulled on her violet long sleeves.

Staring up at the neon sign with his icy blue eyes, Theodore mused that he never thought a wax museum would be financially viable in this sector, why, there's plenty of other things in the sector that seemed viable, compared to this.

The most popular's cricket, which wasn't Theodore or Lila's forte.

Shrugging her stout shoulders as she joins his side, Lila responded with, "Always a niche market, right?"

Maybe not popular with the mainstream, but there's certainly a niche group that finds wax museums interesting, though Lila wouldn't known anyone in that group, as she never bothered with going to these types of museums.

The thought of accurately sculpted wax figurines of past and present people didn't sway Lila's thoughts they looked creepy and those horror movies having an effect on her since watching them on the old CRT huddled under a blanket.

However, despite Lila's reservations, wax's easy.

Even a handheld lighter's bound to give wax monsters a run for their money.

It's when the molten wax hardens that's a problem, never gets out of clothes without issue.

Her arm interlocked with his, Lila walks with Theodore up the stairs to the large glass doors, inside everything's brightly lit, and upon entering, they're greeted with a counter ahead of them where no one manned, except a wax figurine.

Upon reaching the counter, they see that the wax figurine was a ticket master, if you could believe the sign on the counter, and there was a slot where Theodore and Lila inserted their tickets, before they received two wristbands.

The wax figurine of a man with exaggerated feature's slowly raised his stiff arm, his finger perpetually pointing where Theodore and Lila were meant to go on their stroll around the museum.

Following the directions, Theodore and Lila began their stroll, finding they're the only ones in the museum, presently.

Everything's set up as scenes from different points in history, with famous figures in history such as Guy Fawkes to a representation of Jack the Ripper.

Lila glared at the Jack the Ripper wax figurine as she walked with Theodore through the exhibits, they had plaques detailing the histories, significances of the scene, and even had audio versions available at the press of a button.

They must've walked through ten different exhibits at this point in only a span of minutes, giving Black Lion a run for its money with how intricately done the scenes in these exhibits looked, sans the ability to buy anything from them.

Going around the corner, Theodore's eyes lit up at the sight of something ahead, Lila's chestnut eyes moved to see where he stared, and as they're coming up to it, she sees it clearly.

It's a wax figurine.

Of Theodore's father!

Dressed in similar clothes as his son.

The details so fine, it was like someone replicated everything about him down to the very fine line.

Seeing this, Theodore briefly broke away to go up to the wax figurine, separated by the barrier as he sees it clearly.

"Now, I see where you get it from!" Lila remarked as she sees Theodore posing similarly as the replica wax figurine of his father.
