There's Love In Information

C5: First Day at the Office

Standard Disclaimer: I don't own any of the recognizable characters

When Fabian, Dora, Luna, Narcissa and Andromeda came into the office on Monday, the two older witches were surprised to see everything already so put together. "I must say I'm impressed Fabian. You two did a lot of work in such a short amount of time." Narcissa said with a smile.

He smiled at that. "Thank you aunt Cissa. We have tried to make the best of the space we were given. There's only three offices in total, but I honestly think that's all we need. There is one for each of you if you want, Dora and I share the big one in the corner. The rest of the agents will sit in the large area in the middle."

"We figured, you've always liked to do things with a certain flair. You are very much like your mother in that sense." Andromeda said with a smile.

He smiled at that. "That's no way to talk to your boss, you know. Come, the others will probably be here shortly. I'll show you where you will be working. We will need aunt Cissa to brief everyone on the known suspects. Could you start up gathering intel on them?"

Andromeda smiled at her nephew. "Of course Director. I will work as fast as they will let me."

"I'm pretty sure no one will put anything in your way with this." He said as he presented her with a badge that had the D.M.I.I. crest emblazoned on it, along with the number four. "Kingsley has let every department know that anyone carrying this badge will receive full cooperation at all times."

Andromeda smiled at him. "I'm curious though. Why the number four?"

"It indicates rank, aunt Andi. Dora and I carry one with the number one. The other agents carry one with the number two, and everyone consulting with be issued a number five for the time they are consulting a case. The number three we are saving for Hermione when she decides to join us in the future, but no matter the number on your badge, everyone holds equal importance in the department." He said with a smile as he led her to her office.

To say she was shocked at what was there was an understatement. "You managed to get a working computer here?"

"Of course. The department itself is a dead zone for magic, outside of the interrogation room, so when we learned that little tidbit, Dora almost insisted that we get some Muggle electronics to aid in our work, and of course I can't say no to my girlfriend." He said with a smile.

Andromeda smiled at that. "I can understand that, and this will certainly help me get all the information centered. Would it be okay if I added to this setup a little, it'll make it easier for everyone."

"Of course, we have plenty of budget left, get whatever you need and I'll make sure it gets reimbursed. You have my permission to draw funds from my own Vault for this. We haven't had time to set up a Vault for the Department yet, but Kingsley assured me it will be taken care off this week. I will make sure that you have access to it as well." He said with a soft smile.

Andromeda smiled at that. "I'll make sure to get a bill."

He nodded at her as Fleur stepped in through the Floo, looking absolutely immaculate in her suit. "Good morning everyone."

"Good morning Fleur. I hope you had a good weekend?" Fabian asked with a smile.

The blonde smiled and nodded as she put her purse on one of the desks. "I had wine and good company, mon amie. It was a very good weekend."

He smiled at that. "That's good to hear. Let me introduce you to two of members that have decided to join us this week. My aunts Narcissa, who will be consulting on the Death Eaters, and my aunt Andromeda who will make sure our department's paperwork will always be in order."

Fleur smiled at the two women. "It is nice to meet you both. I look forward to working with you both, although I have to admit that I already know Andromeda. Didn't Dora tell you that we dated for a while?"

"She did tell me over the weekend, but she didn't tell me you knew her mother too." He said with a kind smile.

Fleur smiled at him. "It was only by chance to be honest. Dora and I were not together long, we ran into her mother while we were out shopping."

Fabian smiled at her. "Well, the others should be here shortly, so why don't we start off with some coffee. I think we could all use it to get started. I have even made sure to get proper coffee too. None of that Ministry sludge."

Everyone smiled at that, and Dora went a step further as she pressed a kiss to her lover's cheek. "Yet another reason why I love you. You always think of the little things."

He smiled at her. "It's all for the good of the department love. Good coffee will help people wake up in the morning and that will lead to better results. Plus, with the potential late nights we're going to need to put in, it will be a must have."

Dora smiled at him as the rest of their department stepped in through the Floo. "Mother. What are you doing here?" Draco asked with surprise in his voice.

Narcissa smiled at him. "I'm here to consult on the Death Eater case, Draco, and perhaps in the future I will assist your aunt with clerical duties."

He smiled and hugged her. "I'm glad you're here mother. It makes me feel a lot better about your safety."

Narcissa smiled at him. "I'm pretty sure I couldn't be much safer than I am now Draco. Nobody besides my sisters and your cousins knows where I am, and any time I will not be home, I'll be here, in a department only a few people have knowledge about."

He smiled at her as Fabian and Dora walked up to them. "Now that everyone's here, let's take the morning to get acquainted with each other. We'll be working closely together for long hours, especially with everything that we are going to be working on."

Everyone nodded at that. "I think that with everything that has happened we'll be able to build close friendships within our department. The first thing we need to work on is trust." Pansy said kindly.

"Trust is something to be earned though, and that will not happen in a day. So perhaps we should start with being open and honest with each other. So let me ask you this Pansy. Why were you so quick to throw Harry to the Death Eaters?" Ginny asked seriously.

Pansy sighed softly at that. "I know that is what it looked like, but Harry had asked me to do that just before the Death Eaters started everything and they had to go into hiding to search for the Horcruxes. He apparently had a way to make sure it would be okay, and while I was very skeptical about the sanity of his plan and I was very surprised when it worked, I couldn't say no to Harry, not after everything he and Draco have done for me."

Draco smiled at that. "Harry and I had been talking at the end of sixth year and I promised him that I would try and protect the members of Slytherin that didn't agree with Voldemort's ideals. I knew that the Death Eaters were going to invade, I helped them get in, but I also knew that everyone who did not fit their image of a new world would be a target, and contrary to popular belief Slytherin only held a few rotten apples, but those few rotten apples would be all powerful once they took over. Pansy was more in danger than anyone because of her family's affiliation and Harry had begged me to protect her as well as I possibly could."

"Is there something going on between you and Harry then?" Fleur asked kindly.

Pansy blushed and nodded. "We had been together for a couple of months after the War ended, but we've since broken up, and before you ask Ginny, it is not the reason he broke up with you. He never was unfaithful to you. He wanted to protect you the only way he knew how. We got together just after the war for a drink and just went from there."

Ginny smiled at that. "I figured as much, and I don't blame you. I knew Harry and I weren't meant to be, as much as my Mum wanted it to happen, and in light of being honest, I've known for a while that I am gay, so that might also have something to do with why Harry and I didn't work out."

"That certainly explains some of your dating issues as of late, Gin." Luna said with a giggle.

Ginny smiled at the blonde. "I know, but I think that I'm ready to put myself out there and just be myself. Who knows, perhaps I will find the one on the job."

They all just smiled at her as everyone broke off in groups to handle the rest of the introductions, while Fabian and Dora made their way to their office.

That afternoon the entire team had made introductions and seemed to mesh pretty well. At the moment they were all reading through the files of the Death Eaters while Fabian and Dora set up a board with pictures and short descriptions of their prime suspects with the aid of Narcissa.

She almost certain that Lucius was at the head of this new order of Death Eaters, since he was the only one with the charisma make something like this happen. The others were obvious choices, with Greyback, Dolohov and most of the others that had survived the Battle of Hogwarts and had evaded capture afterwards. Those were also the ones that had staged the breakout at Azkaban.

"This is a pretty sizable group so far, but I doubt this is all. There will be plenty of low level cronies as well that escaped punishment and are easy enough to break when interrogated." Dora said as she studied the board.

He nodded at that. "That's the easiest place to start. We will work our way up to the targets of interest. It will take a while though."

Dora nodded at him. "I'm sure they won't sit still, so unfortunately the best opportunity to get some information on the way they will work is wait for something to happen."

"Yes, and to be honest I'm not looking forward to that. If we want to gather that evidence we'll have to be there before the Aurors can screw up our scene, and I already know there will be certain members of the Auror Corps who will object to our presence there." He said softly.

Dora smiled at him. "Perhaps you should schedule a meeting with Madame Bones. I'm sure she will be willing to work with you."

Just as she said it, a memo fluttered into the room, and after snatching it out of the air he couldn't help but smile. "I think she heard you Nym. She has requested a meeting later today."

Dora smiled at that. "I think out of all Directors in the Ministry, she will be most open to help us. She has been wanting to implement changes in the Auror Department for years, but always had her hands tied by the Ministers. I'm sure she is already working with Kingsley to make sure her changes will be implemented now."

He smiled and nodded at her. "Then I think I should reply that she is welcome to meet our department this afternoon."

"I think this is mostly a meeting where she wants to meet the Director, and I think she'll be quite surprised when she sees you sitting behind this desk." Dora said with a soft smile.

"You will be right there beside me love, you are as much Director as I am." He said softly.

She smiled and kissed his cheek. "I know, but let's face it, you're the charismatic one of the two of us. I'm just here to provide a bit of experience and moral support."

"Not just that love. You are my equal in this. You are not second to anyone." He said softly.

Dora smiled at that. "I know, but it's just the truth. I am nowhere as charismatic as you are. My talents lie elsewhere." She said with a wink.

He smiled at her. "Well you can certainly charm just about anyone, and you certainly know how to brighten up a room, which is something we will always be able to use."

She smiled and kissed him softly. "Thank you love, that means a lot to me."

Fabian smiled at her as he looked out into the pen, as they had come to call the main area, where everyone was deep in their research on the Death Eater files. "Don't mention it love, but I think we should put in an order for lunch. Everyone seems to be very much invested in the files."

Dora smiled at him. "Why don't I go and get lunch for us. That'll give you the chance to prepare for your first meeting, and I won't be able to distract you from that. A first meeting can be quite imposing."

He nodded and kissed her softly. "Perhaps some snacks for later today too. It'll help us all with staying focused."

She nodded and kissed his cheek before making her way out of the office as Narcissa walked in. "How are you so far sweetie?"

"I'm okay. It's a bit boring at the moment, but as soon as we will start getting leads it'll be worth it. It's also only the first day, so it's all a bit of a feeling out process. I'll also feel a lot better when I've gotten this meeting with Madame Bones out of the way so we can have the confidence that the Aurors won't screw up our work before we have a chance to begin." He said with a smile.

Narcissa smiled at him as she took a seat across from him. "Knowing Madame Bones like I do, I think she'll be quite willing to work with you, and in turn inform you first when something happens, and I am willing to bet that she will actively let her Aurors know not to get in the way."

He smiled at that. "I hope so, because I know of a few people that would love to get in our way, and I think a few people would love to press Ronald Weasley's nose into the fact that they will always outrank him."

Narcissa hid a giggle behind her hand. "I'm sure his sister will love that fact. Being the youngest myself I can relate to how she must feel, although I am sure the arguments between the three of us never got as heated as I've heard Ginny say they were at her home."

"There's a reason she's such a spitfire, she's always had to fight with her brothers and her mother, and it is that attitude that makes her perfect for the D.M.I.I. because she won't stop searching until she finds something." He said with a soft smile.

Narcissa nodded at that, because she could only agree with his description of the young redhead.

A few hours later Amelia Bones stepped into the Department, being met by Nymphadora. "Good afternoon Dora. I hope you are well?"

Nymphadora nodded and smiled at her former boss. "I am, Madame Bones, thank you for asking. Would you please follow me, our Director is waiting for you."

"I must say that I am keen to meet him. Kingsley was surprisingly vague about everything at the Directors meeting." Amelia said kindly.

Nymphadora smiled at her. "It was purposeful Madame Bones. The trust isn't back in the Ministry yet and I know Kingsley is still purging the other Departments of Death Eater conspirators. This Department was mostly formed from people we trusted and have fought on our side in the war. I don't think you'll be that surprised when you see who our Director is."

Amelia smiled and nodded as she looked around the room, being a bit surprised to see Draco Malfoy and Narcissa Black sitting among them, but overall agreed with the choice of staff.

Nymphadora just smiled at her former boss as she led her into Fabian's office, and she had some trouble containing her laugh when Madame Bones saw who sat behind the desk. "Fabian Black, this is certainly a surprise, but I can see why Kingsley chose you for this position, if all the tales Dora told me over the years are true."

He smiled at her as he motioned for her to take a seat. "Kingsley didn't actually choose me. He offered the position and I felt it was right to head this Department. He gave me and Dora full control over everything and so far I think we will be able to make a big difference."

Amelia smiled at him. "I'm sure you will, I'd been badgering Fudge for years about a separate Department for intelligence and information gathering, but I was always rebuffed. I am very much aware of the flaws of the Auror Corps and I do hope we can work together."

"That is our hope too. We know we can't do this on our own, but we will need a few things from your end, especially with what we are working on right now. I'm sure you've heard about the current situation with the Death Eaters, and that at the moment is our top priority as I am sure it is yours too. What we need is primary access before you send in the Aurors. Even the smallest bit of evidence can help us further the investigation, and in return we will share all information with you."

Madame Bones nodded at that. "I figured that was what you required from me even before I knew who was leading this Department, and I will happily accommodate this request to the best of my ability, because I think we both know that there are some Aurors who will try and go for personal glory first, and I promise you that when that happens I will personally deal with them."

Fabian smiled kindly at her. "Thank you Madame Bones, and I in turn promise you that we will work with you now and in the future to make sure threats to everyone's safety are quickly dealt with, and I will also apologize in advance for the inevitable arguments my agents will have with some of the Auror Corp."

"Yes, I foresaw that when I received the list of new trainees. Am I right in assuming that we need to discuss Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter?" Amelia asked kindly.

He nodded at her. "The former more than the latter I imagine, but yes. I have a feeling neither of them will be very pleased that Ginny and Luna outrank them. Not to say how they will react in the future when Hermione Granger joins us."

"I'm amazed that she isn't here already. I would imagine you wanting to bring her in as soon as you got the chance." Amelia said with a smile.

"We asked, but we also know that she has a few other things she wants to do before she commits to the D.M.I.I. and factor in something a bit unforeseen for everyone, it's understandable that she is a bit preoccupied." Nymphadora said with a smile.

Amelia nodded at that. "I have a meeting with her and Bellatrix scheduled tomorrow. Hermione said that she had something important to tell me. Which is surprising I must say, given the fact that I don't have a clue what it could be."

Fabian smiled at that. "All will be revealed tomorrow Madame Bones, but I can say that it will have some bearing on what we are working on at the moment, some quite significant bearing I'd say."

"I'm sure I will hear all about it tomorrow. I think everyone is working toward the same goal here." She said with a soft smile.

"Most of us surely will, but I think we both know that especially now the new Aurors will be looking for glory too, or at least some of them. The War was not good for us in that sense." Dora said softly.

Amelia nodded at that. "I know, and unfortunately the progress to counteract them is slow. They're all very careful in speaking their minds at the moment, but I'll keep working on it, but I do have one question for you Dora, just to sate my own curiosity. Why did you quit the Aurors to then take a job as Assistant Director here?"

Nymphadora smiled at her. "To be honest I was done with the toxic culture in the team. I was constantly talked down to and harassed by nearly everyone because of my condition, so to speak. With Fabian I know he would never do that, not only because he is my nephew, but my boyfriend as well, so when he asked me it was really a no-brainer to accept."

Amelia smiled at that. "I understand, and once again I'm sorry that happened to you. It is certainly not what I intend the Department to be."

Dora smiled and nodded. "I know, and I never blamed you for anything. I expected a bit of misogyny in being one of the only women there, but I never expected it to be as bad as it was. I have every faith that you will crack down on it now, especially with a man like Kingsley as Minister. He is a lot more pro-active than Fudge ever was."

Amelia nodded at her. "That he is, and he has already helped me purge the department a little, which is why the others are careful. I have a very diligent assistant now who informs me of everything that is going on."

"That's good to hear, and I'm sure it will work his time around. A new wind is blowing through the Ministry and not everyone will come out unscathed." Dora said with a smile.

Amelia smiled at that. "I'm sure of that, but I will leave you to your research. If there is something I can do for you, my door is always open, and I will let you know when something comes through."

Fabian nodded at that. "We will do the same, and even if we're not here, my aunts Andromeda and Narcissa will usually be here if you need us. They can take the message and make sure it gets to us."

Amelia nodded and smiled at them both as she stood, Fabian and Dora walking her back to the Floo.

Later that afternoon, when the rest had already gone home, Fabian and Dora were still in his office, relaxing a little bit before going home after their first day of work. "I have to say baby, I really thought this was going to be a lot harder." She said as she rested in his lap.

He smiled and kissed her softly. "It was only the first day baby. Not all days will be so easy. I do have a feeling that there will be many late nights when we actually start gathering information, but I'm not going to lie, I'm so happy we've got Madame Bones on our side."

She smiled and nuzzled her nose in his neck. "I know, I feel exactly the same, she seems almost eager to work with us, although I suspect we can expect another memo when she has met with Hermione and your mother."

"I know, I expect it to happen the moment that meeting is concluded, but I think it is time for us to go home too. Mom will be waiting with dinner and it wouldn't do for us to come home all disheveled, which we both know will happen if we are left alone for too long." He said with a soft smile.

"You're probably right, but I'm so comfortable right now." She said with a pout.

He smiled and kissed her softly. "I promise that after dinner, I will let you do anything you want to me, and I know you are dying to experiment a little."

She blushed a little at that. "Promise?"

"On my life Nym. Our relationship is not one sided. You are just as entitled to explore your wants and needs as I am." He said softly.

She smiled at that. "Then I think you will love what I have planned baby. Let's go home before aunt Cissa comes back to drag us home."

He nodded at her as she slid off his lap and then held her hand to pull him out of his chair. "We wouldn't want that now would we? That would seriously interfere with our activities."

Dora nodded as made their way to the Floo, stepping through to leave their office silent for the first time that day.

Stepping out of the fireplace in Black Manor moments later treated them to the lovely sight of most of the family clearly waiting for them. "Well it's about time you two showed up. I was nearly inclined to go back and see what kept you." Narcissa said sternly.

"We just needed a little while to unwind aunt Cissa. It was as much a day of firsts for us as it was for everyone, and we needed to discuss the meeting with Madame Bones properly before we discuss it with the rest of the team tomorrow, and besides we are only thirty minutes late." Fabian said with a smile.

The blonde smiled at him. "Fine, but it would've been proper if you would have said more than just we'll be home a bit later."

"I know, and we're sorry. We'll give proper notice when we have an actual reason to stay late." Dora said with a soft smile.

Narcissa smiled at him as they took a seat. "Fortunately for you two dinner will be a tad late since we have to wait for Bella and Hermione to come out of their self imposed isolation in the library."

"Then I think we'll take a quick shower before dinner. I promise we won't get carried away." He said with a smile.

Narcissa nodded at that. "You have fifteen minutes, after that we'll have dinner, regardless of Bellatrix and Hermione's state at that moment."

They nodded and Apparated upstairs to save a few minutes. "Will this be foreplay, love?" She asked with a soft smile.

"Only a little. We've got plenty of time tonight, but it won't hurt to get each other going a little bit." He said as he stripped them both with a wave of his wand.

She smiled and lifted herself against him as he wrapped his arms around her, locking her legs around his waist. "That we have, and I can't wait to have you alone."

He smiled at her as they stepped under the spray, Nymphadora having made sure that it was the right temperature beforehand. "I can't wait to see what you have in mind baby."

Dora smiled and kissed him softly as she lowered herself to her feet again. "I think you will love it Fabe. I've been thinking about this for a while."

He just smiled and kissed her as they took turns washing each other's bodies, trying not to get carried away and only succeeding partly in that.

When they came down ten minutes later, Bellatrix and Hermione had also joined them, both of them looking only a little bit disheveled from their time in the library. "Finally we're all here. It must have been some very interesting reading that kept you so occupied." Narcissa said with a quirked eyebrow.

Hermione blushed while Bellatrix merely grinned at her sister. "We weren't doing anything untoward Cissy, or at least nothing my son hasn't done to his girlfriend in that library too. There were some heavy make-out sessions, sure, but I assure you that we kept it in our pants. Neither of us would ever want to defile a library in that manner."

Narcissa sighed softly as dinner appeared. "In light of everything, I think we can have the faux pas of having dinner here for once, but do keep conversation family appropriate, Bella."

The raven haired witch nodded and smiled at her sister as she fixed a plate for Hermione and herself, Fabian doing the same for Nymphadora. "So tell me sweetie. How was your first day at the Ministry?" Bellatrix asked with a smile.

"Uneventful so far. Today was mostly about introductions and getting acquainted with our first case, and Dora and I had a meeting with Madame Bones this afternoon, but other than that it wasn't exciting, although I think that will change when we start getting leads." Fabian said with a smile."

"I'm sure it will Fabe. All beginnings are dull, and I especially imagine it to be so at the Ministry." Hermione said with a soft smile.

He smiled at that. "I suppose that's true, and I know it'll get better in time. We just need to find a rhythm at work. Ginny and Fleur asked me to say hi by the way."

Hermione smiled at him. "If it's okay with you two, we'll come by after our meeting with Madame Bones in a few days."

"Of course Hermione, you and aunt Bella are always welcome to come and visit." Nymphadora said with a kind smile.

The brunette smiled at her as they continued their meal, both couples quickly excusing themselves when they were done, much to the annoyance of Narcissa.

In their bedroom Dora pulled her lover close. "I have a request for you love, that I am asking you to do by hand, because I need like five minutes to prepare some things. Could you shave your pubes for me?"

He smiled and nodded. "Of course love. I'll be right back."

She smiled and slapped his ass as he walked into the bathroom, her mind going into overdrive to implement her idea. She had wanted to do something special for him, and satiate some of her own darker urges at the same time, one of which was to be dominated by him, and to make sure there would be no doubt about what she wanted, she stripped herself and put on the choker she had ordered to be made, which merely said 'Pet' in gold lettering, and to add to the image she put on the light blue thong and bra set that she had bought for this occasion.

She then took her place on the bed, purposely on her knees as she waited for him to come out of the bathroom.

When he stepped out he only wore a towel around his waist, looking a bit shocked at her pose on the bed. "What's this love?"

"This is your surprise love. I've dreamed for years about submitting to you and being your plaything and I can't wait anymore. I want you to use me tonight." She said softly.

He smiled at her as he dropped the towel and crawled onto the bed. "Are you absolutely sure about this Dora? I can see you've put a lot of thought and effort into this, but the last thing I want is to accidentally hurt you."

She smiled at him. "Look at the choker and tell me that I am not ready and willing to accept anything you want to do to me."

He smiled at that. "Okay, but we're going to set some rules for this. If at any time you're uncomfortable I want you to tell me and there will be nothing forced, and you will not call me Master or anything like that."

She nodded at him. "Of course love, and if at any time I'm unable to speak, I will give you two taps on your thigh."

He nodded and kissed her deeply, dominating the kiss as he pulled her against him. "Then you will start with sucking me off first. I didn't shave it all for nothing after all."

She nodded obediently as she kissed her way down his body. "Whatever you wish love. I'm yours tonight." She said softly as she took his cock between her lips.

He groaned softly and placed his hand on top of her head, slowly pushing her down on his cock. "You will always be mine Dora, and I will always be yours."

She smiled around his cock and let him take charge as he slowly fucked her mouth, both of them moaning softly from the sensation.

"Lay down love. I just have to taste you. You look so sinful in that outfit." He said softly.

Dora nodded and did as he asked, spreading her legs a little to alleviate a bit of the wetness she felt in her panties. "Maybe this was a bit too much for now. Perhaps when we're both in the mood for something more we can properly do this. I just need you right now."

Fabian smiled and nodded at his lover. "I think that would be best love, and while I love this look, it's a bit much for this point in our relationship. When we're both comfortable with each other's boundaries I would love to try this again."

Dora nodded as she reached for the choker to take it off. "Then I'll keep this for that time. We've got plenty of time to love each other."

He nodded and smiled at her before lovingly kissing his way down her body before peeling aside her panties and eating her out with the same tenderness, a moan ripping from her throat as she lost herself to pleasure.
